Kaia Gerber was supported by her boyfriend’s parents, including beloved a Hollywood comic actor, at her play this Friday.

The 23-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford is acting in the stage show Evanston Salt Costs Climbing by Will Arbery at the Matrix Theatre in Los Angeles.

She received critical acclaim for her performance from such high-profile outlets as Broadway World and the Los Angeles Times.

Now, as her run in the play enters its final weekend, she received a heartwarming stamp of approval from her boyfriend’s family.

Her current flame is the sizzling Top Gun: Maverick actor Lewis Pullman, 32, the son of Sleepless In Seattle actor Bill Pullman and his dancer wife Tamara Hurwitz.

Bill and Tamara were both spotted outside the Matrix Theatre this Friday night, greeting Kaia as she emerged from the stage door.

Kaia cut a casual figure as she left the venue after getting out of costume, with an outfit that included jeans and a denim jacket.

She bundled up against the cold with a cozy-looking dark top and kept a green sweater wrapped over her shoulders in case the temperatures dropped even further.

Evanston Salt Costs Climbing, which originally opened in 2018 with a different cast, is making its Southern California premiere with the current production.

Kaia began appearing in the show’s present run when it opened in January and will give her final performance on closing night, this Sunday.

The play followers the lives of truckers who salt the roads in the Chicago suburb of Evanston, as the snow problem intensifies because of the polar vortex.

Lesley Fera features as the truckers’ administrator Jane Maiworm, with Kaia appearing in the supporting role of her daughter Jane Jr.

Kaia got critical acclaim, with the Los Angeles Times saying she gave ‘quirky life to Jane Jr.’s neurotic sensitivity,’ Broadway World gushing she brought ‘bone-deep authentic depth’ to the character and the Larchmont Buzz calling her ‘luminous.’

It emerged in January that Kaia was dating Lewis – after news that broken that her relationship with Elvis actor Austin Butler was over after three years.

It was then reported that Kaia had in fact been dating Lewis since December 2024 but initially concealed the romance from the public

‘Kaia and Lewis have actually been together for a while now. They started dating in early December. They kept it under wraps until the news of her and Austin’s split came out. Kaia and Austin have been broken up since October,’ a source alleged.

‘They run in the same circle and have similar friend groups, and that’s how they were introduced,’ the insider added to Us Weekly. ‘Kaia likes that this relationship feels low-pressure and that Lewis is a very low-key guy.’

Before her relationship with Austin, 33, Kaia carried on a year-long romance with Euphoria heartthrob Jacob Elordi and then spent three months with Pete Davidson.

In the photo, which the Duchess of Sussex posted on her Instagram March 8 in honor of International Women’s Day, the three-year-old wears a bright pink shirt and gray, yellow and pink floral leggings and appears to wear her auburn hair in a half ponytail. Harry is dressed casually in a white T-shirt, striped shorts, sunglasses and a denim baseball cap worn backwards.

“Happy International Women’s Day!” wrote Meghan, who also shared throwback photos of herself and her mom Doria Ragland as well as a pic of herself with her husband. “Celebrating the strong women around us & the girls with dreams who will become women with vision. On How Meghan Markle Started Making Preserves

<p>On How Meghan Markle Started Making Preserves</p>

While fans know Meghan Markle loves a good jam, she revealed she really got into the preserve-making process after she and her husband Prince Harry moved into their home in Montecito, Calif.

“These vines were here actually when we moved in,” she said in the second episode of With Love, Meghan while picking berries. “This is sort of what inspired my jam and preserve-making.”

    As for Meghan’s favorite preserve?

“My grandmother used to make apple butter, so I like that because it’s connected to something sentimental,” the Duchess of Sussex shared, noting her kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet now get to see her carry on the tradition. “But I think my kids will now connect this to coming home from school and smelling sweetness that wafts through the house when you are slow-cooking fruit. ‘There she is. Oh, Mom’s making some preserves again.’”

In fact, Meghan said Lili has even tried her hand at preserve-making.

“Lili and I actually made this batch together,” she said while serving strawberry preserve in episode five. “She picked all those berries with me, and then she’s like, ‘No no, mama. I’ll do it.’ And she wants to try. She’s like, ‘I’ll stir it. I’ll mash it.’ Great. And then you keep the hot stuff away and go ahead and pour it in. But she’s proud. That part feels good.”

    On Prince Harry’s Cooking Skills

    <p>On Prince Harry's Cooking Skills</p>

However, it appears Harry, who makes a cameo on the show, has some culinary skills too.

“H is a great cook,” Meghan shared in episode five, calling her husband by his nickname. “He makes really great breakfast.”

The duchess also offered some insight into how the Duke of Sussex likes to season his food.

“I have a family, a husband, who no matter what meal is put in front of him, before he tastes it, puts salt on,” Meghan revealed in the second episode, adding she will “try to under-salt” as a result.

    On Her Fashion

    <p>On Her Fashion</p>

When it comes to her fashion, Meghan said she prefers a “high-low” style that involves mixing luxurious with less expensive pieces.

The former Suits star broke down her outfit during episode two in which she hosted Mindy Kaling for a tea party, sharing she wore Zara pants, a Loro Piana top and a Jenni Kayne sweater.

On Some of Her Favorite Things

<p>On Some of Her Favorite Things</p>

While the series showcases Meghan’s love of hosting, cooking, gardening and decorating, she also sheds light on some of her other interests.

For instance, in one episode, she hosts a game night for her friends.

“We have all started to learn mahjong together in the past few months,” she said. “Mahjong started in China in the 1800s, and we play a version called American mahjong. What I’ve come to really love about mahjong, the game itself is really fun, but what was so great was the idea of learning something new with your friends together and then recognizing that the mahjong becomes the background of the expansion of friendship.”

In another episode, her friend, Tatcha founder Vicky Tsai, said Meghan also likes pickleball while the duchess herself revealed some of her favorite genres of music.

“I listen to a lot of ’70s soft rock and a lot of yacht rock and a lot of Soul,” Meghan said in episode five, “and then French dinner party music.”

And when it come to food, she said she has a “very, very high tolerance” for spice.

“Even at a young age, we didn’t have a lot, but we traveled,” she said. “My mom was a travel agent. We would just try so many different flavors and different places. My mom would make gumbo, and Soul food has a lot of flavor and a lot of kick to it. I crave that, and I always gravitate to that level of heat. So I am ushering my family into my palate, but I love it.”

On Her Favorite Fast Food Restaurants as a Kid

<p>On Her Favorite Fast Food Restaurants as a Kid</p>

During episode two, Meghan recalled how she “grew up with a lot of fast food and and also a lot of TV tray dinners.”

“It feels like such a different time,” she remembered in episode two, “but that was so normal with the microwavable kids’ meals that had compartmentalized [sections]…I grew up with that, watching Jeopardy! and having a lot of fast food.”

    Her favorites at the time?

“I used to eat a lot of Pollo Loco, Taco Bell—extra hot sauce on the Mexican pizza,” Meghan said, plus, “Jack in the Box because my mom loved their tacos.”

On Her Participation in the Girl Scouts

<p>On Her Participation in the Girl Scouts</p>

However, these weren’t the only memories she shared from her childhood. Meghan also spoke about her time in the Girl Scouts.

“I was a Girl Scout for so many years,” she said on episode four. “I started as a Daisy, which is when you’re 5 or 6, and I sold a lot of cookies. My mom was troop leader—Troop 949.”

    On Her Sussex Title

    <p>On Her Sussex Title</p>

After stepping back as working members of the royal family in 2020, Harry and Meghan continued to keep their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles.

And in With Love, Meghan, she explained why the Sussex name is so meaningful to her.

“It’s so funny too that you keep saying Meghan Markle,” Meghan told Mindy in episode two. “You know I’m Sussex now. You have kids and you go, ‘No, I share my name with my children.’ I didn’t know how meaningful it would be to me, but it just means so much to say, ‘This is our family name. Our little family name.’”

    On Her Kids

    <p>On Her Kids</p>

Speaking of Archie and Lili, Meghan offered a few insights into their world in the series.

The mother of two revealed her kids share her love of gardening, noting they have their own tools and that “they take gardening seriously.” She also spoke about her daughter’s love of pink and her clean-up song.

“Clean as you go. Lili has made a song out of it,” Meghan said in episode five. “‘Clean as you go. Clean, clean, clean, clean, clean as you go.’”

In addition, Meghan talked about making sun tea with Archie and the time he went fishing and caught a trout. She also detailed her love of cooking with her children.

“It’s so much a part of what I want them to learn and have these great formative memories of being there with me,” she said in episode five. “‘Oh mama used to make this.’”

    On Her First Jobs

    <p>On Her First Jobs</p>

Long before she was an actress or a duchess, Meghan had her first job at an ice cream shop.

“I was 13 years old,” she remembered during episode five of With Love, Meghan, “and my first job was at Humphrey Yogart.”

Later on, Meghan helped make doughnuts.

“Doughnuts in general just remind me of my childhood,” she said in episode three. “I once had a job at a little doughnut shop called Lil Orbits Donuts. They made tiny, tiny not doughnut holes, little tiny mini doughnuts they would sell at craft venues. I helped.”

And when she was in college, Meghan worked at a bar in Chicago.

“Doing two majors and then like, ‘I’ll go to Chicago and I’ll just go and make extra money. And I’ll be the coat-check girl,’” the Northwestern University alum said in episode seven. “And they’re like, ‘Oh no, you can actually be a cocktail waitress.’”

But after she was confused by a customer’s martini order, Meghan added, she said her boss told her, “‘Let’s have you go back to being a coat-check girl.’”

Plus, Meghan revealed in episode seven that she taught gift-wrapping classes when she was starting off as an actress.

    On Her Time in Argentina

    <p>On Her Time in Argentina</p>

In episode four—in which Meghan hosts a get-together with Nacho Figueras‘ wife Delfina Blaquier—she reflects on her time abroad.

“When I lived in Argentina, I think the reason I loved it so much is it reminded me of California in a lot of ways where you have the mountains, and you have just this joy of life and the joy of being outside,” the duchess said. “I was only there for a few months interning at the U.S. embassy, but I loved it.”

On When She Moved to Toronto for Suits

<p>On When She Moved to Toronto for <em>Suits</em></p>

Meghan played Rachel Zane on Suits from 2011 to 2018, and she’ll never forget when she found out she was moving to Toronto for the role.

“You find out it gets picked up. It’s in Toronto. OK, what’s that mean?” she said on episode two. “OK, one season in Toronto. Amazing. Two seasons. OK, is my life gonna be now in this other place? Now, thankfully, I love Canada, and I always tried to invite the cast over or people you meet at the dog park with your dog.”

In fact, her costar Abigail Spencer appears in one of the With Love, Meghan episodes.

    On Her Beloved Dog Guy

    <p>On Her Beloved Dog Guy</p>

In January, Meghan announced her beloved dog, Guy, passed away.

The adorable beagle made several appearances throughout the Netflix series, and Meghan had opened up about her love for him.

“I would do anything for Guy, and he knows it,” she said in episode four. “He can have whatever he wants because he is whatever kind of guy you need him to be depending on the day—my sweet guy, my silly guy, my saucy little guy, always my spoiled guy.”

And he was always by her side.

“Guy’s just always there,” she added in episode five. “He’s my shadow, and he’s been with me for a very, very, very long time. Guy’s been with me since I lived in Toronto. He was found in the woods in Kentucky, and he’s since moved with me to the U.K., back to Canada, to California. So yeah, Guy has a lot of stories to tell.”

Following the final episode, Meghan noted that the series is “in loving memory of Guy.”

  • Sedgemoor Crematorium to remember lost loved ones this Mother’s Day

Sedgemoor Crematorium to remember lost loved ones this Mother’s Day

    [ad_1]

Sedgemoor Crematorium near Burnham-On-Sea is inviting people to visit over the Mother’s Day weekend and take time to remember and reflect on beloved relatives they have lost.

On Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March, between 10am and 4.30pm, the crematorium’s Book of Remembrance Room will be available for visitors to use for quiet moments of reflection and remembrance.

They will also be able to collect flowers which they can place on the memorial of a loved one within the grounds of the crematorium or take home with them.

Sedgemoor Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 41 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.

Manager Laura Williams said: “We will also provide cards throughout the Mother’s Day weekend which people can write personal messages on and then deposit in our Letters to Loved Ones memorial post box.”

“We know, from feedback we’ve had since the memorial post box was installed, that the bereaved can take great comfort from posting messages to loved ones, and it helps them maintain a feeling of connection with them.”

Anyone is welcome to visit the crematorium in order to remember their loved ones during the Mother’s Day period. It does not matter whether or not there is a memorial to their mother or mother figure in the crematorium grounds, or where their funeral took place.

Neither does it matter if someone is recently bereaved, or suffered a loss some time ago, and it makes no difference where they live.

If they are near to the crematorium around Mother’s Day, anyone and everyone is welcome to visit for a peaceful period of reflection and remembrance.

Laura added: “Mother’s Day is one of those annual occasions when a loss can be felt more and we want to ensure people know that they are very welcome to take comfort in paying tribute to their loved ones at our crematorium.”

“It can equally be a particularly difficult time for mothers who are bereaved of a child, and they are also extremely welcome to visit us.”

Special days like Mother’s Day can also be a time when people think more about purchasing a memorial in honour of someone they have lost and Westerleigh Group is running a special offer between March 3 and April 30.

Families who buy a new granite ‘made in the UK’ memorial or EverWith personal jewellery from the crematorium, can get free personalisation, up to the value of £500.

This can include hand-designed artwork transferred directly onto the memorial, such as portraits, club crests, animals, hobbies, places or interest, a picture of loved one transferred onto a plaque which is then placed on the memorial or engraving of names or images on selected EverWith jewellery items. Anyone interested in taking up this offer should visit the crematorium’s website or call and speak to a member of the team there for more information.

  • Who Are Gable Steveson’s Parents? All About Mom, Dad, and Family

Who Are Gable Steveson’s Parents? All About Mom, Dad, and Family

    [ad_1]

Gable Steveson is gearing up for yet another NCAA title. If he wins, this will be his third. But this begs the question: What does he have that his competitors don’t have? Is it his frame that seems to dwarf all his rivals? Or is it his explosive takedowns? Well, as Americana has taught us again and again, it is the thoughts and prayers of his supporters and the unwavering love of his family.

Perhaps it is this combined with all the above that has put him on the path to a NCAA title, a Sullivan Award and an undefeated run all in one season. The Olympic gold medalist and NCAA champion has often credited his success to the influence of his parents, who played a pivotal role in shaping his career. From his early days on the mat to his dominance on the international stage, Steveson’s rise is a testament to the foundation built by his family. But who are the people behind the wrestling prodigy?

    Article continues below this ad

What is Gable Steveson’s real name?

Fort Dodge, the wrestling tournament where it all started. Every couple, when they expect their baby, starts searching for names for their babies. Gable’s parents did the same; when they were watching a wrestling match in Fort Dodge, Iowa, there was a name echoing Dan Gable. Renowned American former folkstyle coach and former wrestler.

Then and there, Gable’s parents finalize that their younger son will be called Gable Dan Steveson. Laticia Steveson, Gable’s mother, was just three months pregnant with him when Gable already had his name. And around 15 years ago, Gable Dan Steveson met Dan Gable in Waterloo at a wrestling tournament. And guess what? Their meetup is a small story in itself.

“The Golden Gable” won that tournament, and he went ahead to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. For what? To take his autograph, and why not? He has been the inspiration behind his name, behind his career, even before his first breath on earth. Gable went on Dan’s table with his father, Robert Steveson, and not to their surprise, after listening to the story, Dan talked to Steveson for a while, and even a local TV crew member took their interview. So wholesome, wasn’t it? Aren’t you curious who Gable Steveson’s father is?

    Who is Gable Steveson’s father?

Gable Steveson’s father’s name is Robert Steveson. And he looks like his dad only. Yeah, like father, like son. And we are not saying this, but his high school coach, Danel Wasmund, is. Despite his size, Steveson’s technique is what sets him apart. Steveson coach Dalen Wasmund claimed that despite his size, he can wrestle like a young boy. And where does this come from? Of course from his father.

Robert has his own mindset about wrestling. “Everything was technique,” he said. As per the Star Tribune, Robert also added, “It didn’t matter what the size was. If you’re a big guy, you can wrestle a little guy because all we would practice is technique.” However, Robert doesn’t have any experience in wrestling and used to run a private club in Indiana before he moved with his family to Apple Valley around 12 years ago. Gable was brought up in a wrestling environment. Want to know about the woman force behind the Minnesota wrestler?

    Who is Gable Steveson’s mother?

Laticia Steveson, who gave birth to the Minnesota champion on May 31, 2000. A mother is always a pillar of strength for her child and always pushes her child to reach for the sky. Laticia always jokes and says that Gable is a child who was born on the wrestling mat, and it seems to be true. With every dominant performance, his moves, and his skills, it seems like he has learned all the snap-downs and double legs with his first walk only. And why not?

Gable experienced wrestling even before he was born. Though there is not much information about Steveson’s mother’s professional life, the love and the bond she has with her son are immense. Let’s take you back to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where Gable won gold against Georgian freestyle heavyweight wrestler, Geno Petriashvili. Gable’s mother, the whole family, and friends were watching the wrestling on TV, and NBC affiliate KAKE 11 captured the whole drama through camera lenses.

The videos were so wholesome—his mother went mad with happiness and she, along with other friends, the Minnesota team, could be seen screaming, “Oh my god, he did it,” and giving hugs to one another. It was a big win for sure, not because it’s her child but also because it was the first time a Team USA wrestler won an Olympic gold since 1992. Huge, isn’t it?  Well, after winning Olympic gold, Gable said that he wanted to take his family for an outing and gift her mother a Louis Vuitton purse. She deserves it,” Gable told The Associated Press.

Where did Gable Steveson grow up?

The two-time NCAA wrestling champion grew up in Apple Valley, Minnesota, with his two elder brothers. It looks like a sports family. Because both of his brothers—Johnathan and Bobby—are into sports. In Portage, Indiana, Gable put on the singlet for the first time, marking the beginning of his wrestling career. And one of the inspirations was his brothers, Bobby and Johnathan, who have wrestled and become successful.

While Bobby Steveson is a wrestler, former Golden Gopher, and WWE superstar. With this fact, we can connect why Gable wanted to go to WWE. Steveson once said, “I always got really frustrated wrestling with Bobby, just being younger and having to battle with him all the time.”

Gable’s brothers are the reason behind his early success, as he added, “But having older brothers who had wrestled and had experience really allowed me to get better at wrestling during that time.” With Gable Stevson’s final NCAA season, it is to be seen how the legend’s future will unfold.

Babar Azam father draws ire of Kamran Akmal over Instagram post

    [ad_1]

Former wicketkeeping batter Kamran Akmal has addressed Pakistan batter Babar Azam’s father’s criticism of former cricketers.

Azam Siddique, the father of star Pakistan batter, hit back at former cricketers after they criticised his son over his poor outing in the Champions Trophy 2025.

In an Instagram post a day earlier, Azam expressed his faith in Babar Azam’s ability to stage a comeback after he was left out of the Pakistan T20I squad for the New Zealand tour.

“The boss is always right. Despite being part of the ICC’s T20 Team of the Year, he was dropped. It’s fine; he will perform in the National T20 and PSL. Insha Allah, he will make a comeback,” he wrote.

Azam Siddique took aim at former cricketers over their harsh criticism of Babar Azam.

“They are very big former players, but they should choose their words wisely. If someone responds, they may not tolerate it. You are the past, and that door will never open,” he wrote.

Responding to his post, Kamran Akmal said that family members should not issue such statements.

“I went through a tough time in my career. I understood everyone but told my father and brothers that it wasn’t their job to give answers or speak on it as it was my matter. Every player’s family should follow this policy,” he said while speaking on ARY News show ‘Har Lamha Purjosh.’

Kamran Akmal was of the view that issuing statements against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was in bad taste.

“I don’t think it is appropriate to speak against the institution,” the former Pakistan batter said.

Mother-of-two whose eyes were gouged out by her evil ex-partner in one of UK’s worst cases of domestic abuse warns ‘I’m a sitting duck’ after he is released back on the streets

    [ad_1]

A mother-of-two who had her eyes gouged out by a sadistic ex-partner is living in constant fear after learning he will soon be back on the streets.

Tina Nash, 44, was permanently blinded during a horrifying 12-hour domestic attack by sick thug Shane Jenkin in 2011.

Jenkin, 46, was moved to an open prison two weeks ago – meaning he will be allowed to walk the streets unsupervised and look for work and education and to visit family as early as this summer.

Tina, from Penzance, Cornwall, told MailOnline: ‘I’m terrified. He could be stood right behind me in a shop and I wouldn’t have a clue because he blinded me.

‘I know he wishes he’d killed me that night because then there would have been no witnesses and I couldn’t speak out. I still live in Penzance, I’m a sitting duck.

‘I feel very scared for my safety, the parole board has said he is vengeful and I’ve heard from people on his landing that he couldn’t stop talking about me.

‘I’ve been warned the first thing he’s going to do is come straight for me.’

Horror film-obsessed Jenkin carried out his monstrous attack in April 2011. The night before he had watched an eye-gouging scene in the zombie movie 28 Weeks Later.

Tina recalled how she felt her face to discover her eye hanging out of the socket and ‘thought she was dead’.

Truro Crown Court heard it was one of the worst cases of domestic abuse the UK has ever seen. He was sentenced to life with a minimum of six years in 2012 and has since made seven failed bids for parole.

But with Jenkins now in an Category D open prison, Tina has bravely spoken out in order to prevent others going through similar abuse and has shared an up to date photo to warn women he meets of his violent past.

She said: ‘People who knew him tell me he’s twice the size he was when he went in, he looks like a meathead.

‘He was big before but he just looks dangerous. I don’t believe he will ever be safe in public – he has a violent past long before what he did to me.

‘They told me that the decision to release him was ratified by the secretary of state in December.

‘I wasn’t even told that I could lodge an appeal until after the 21 day window to do so had closed.

‘I’m the one serving a life sentence, not him – I’ll never see my children’s faces again, and he’s being given his freedom back.

‘It’s two-tier justice all over again – this government bends over backwards to give abusers another chance, and treats their victims like an afterthought.’

Tina says she feels badly let down by the justice system after being assured it would be ‘many, many years before he was released’.

She rarely dares to venture out of the house after previously being extremely sociable and at one point didn’t leave her bedroom for six months.

After learning that she was powerless to stop his transfer to an open prison, she launched a GoFundMe page to help pay for security upgrades to her house for when he is released.

She said: ‘I cannot depend on the authorities to help, so I’m having to do it myself. The donations will go towards keeping me safe, my legal case and buying things I desperately need.

‘If Jenkin is released my property must be urgently target hardened, I need cameras and a security consultant to help me.’

Tina has also set up a petition against his release which has already been signed by more than 11,000 people.

But instead of applauding her efforts to raise awareness, Tina claims probation chiefs ‘told her off’ for speaking out about her case with one asking her ‘don’t you feel sorry for him, putting this on his head?’

She said: ‘When they said that to me I felt confused – I have every right to speak out and I don’t want this to be brushed under the carpet. I don’t want this to happen to anybody else.’

The Probation Service is currently investigating Tina’s complaint about the comment and the staff member involved is understood to deny using those words. Tina has since decided to sever contact with the Probation Service.

Inmates in Category D prisons are considered ‘low risk’ and often have their own keys and are allowed to spend their days away from the prison as well as taking part in educational, vocational and work programmes.

As recently as two years ago Jenkin was held at a maximum security prison and has previously spent time in a psychiatric unit.

He subjected his ex-lover to a 12-hour attack in which he broke her jaw, throttled her until she was unconscious and blinded her by gouging out her eyes.

Truro Crown Court heard in May 2012 that Jenkin attacked Miss Nash while she slept at her home. Her two sons Liam and Ben were in the property

Ignoring her desperate pleas to call an ambulance, Jenkin kept her imprisoned for 12 hours and throttled her into unconsciousness before blinding her.

She had several operations over four weeks of hospital treatment but surgeons could not save her eyes.

Miss Nash, then 32, told the court of her heartache at knowing she will never again see her two sons.

Losing her sight felt like being buried alive, she said.

Describing the assault, Judge Christopher Clarke said that Jenkin ‘repeatedly held her tightly around the neck and, as he continued to strangle her, she lost consciousness and from time to time she hallucinated’.

Describing the assault, Judge Christopher Clarke said that Jenkin ‘repeatedly held her tightly around the neck and, as he continued to strangle her, she lost consciousness and from time to time she hallucinated’

Jenkin had attacked Miss Nash before. Tina said she had thought she could change Jenkin’s violent behaviour but warned other victims of domestic violence to get out ‘before it is too late’.

Jenkin had also been repeatedly banned from his local pubs in Penzance for violence, and three months before he blinded Miss Nash he was reportedly charged with breaching bail following an assault charge.

The 18-stone brute was jailed for life in a secure mental health unit and ordered to serve at least six years before being considered for release.

He immediately appealed against his sentence but the Court of Appeal rejected it.

His lawyers argued that the life sentence should be quashed to allow him to go free when his doctors are convinced he had beaten his mental illness.

But the judges ruled that Jenkin was dangerous with or without a mental illness.

Laura Richards, former head of the Scotland Yard’s Homicide Prevention Unit and criminal behavior analyst, told MailOnline she believes Jenkin is a psychopath who can never be safely released.

Laura – who helped keep child killer Colin Pitchfork behind bars – said: ‘Based on everything I have assessed he has an extreme lack of empathy and no fear of the consequences. I believe Jenkin is most likely a psychopath.

‘He has no moral code whatsoever and there is a real risk here. He has just said the right things to tick a box and move closer to release but if my assessment is correct he will never be safe to be released.

‘If he is a psychopath the risk assessment is flawed and if he is released he will harm somebody else, I have no doubt about that.

‘The Parole Board must take the safety of future victims into consideration.

‘Tina has been failed spectacularly by the police, probation and everybody. She was told he would be in prison for life.

‘Her case is precedential because she survived something most people wouldn’t. Throughout the court case he always blamed her and she is now much more vulnerable because she is blind.’

Ms Richards, who analysed Tina’s case in her podcast, has urged Brits to write to Labour Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood demanding she reverse Jenkin’s downgrading until he’s tested for psychopathy.

MoJ have been approached for comment.

  • How my son’s birthday party made me realise its parents’ fault kids are getting fatter… we must take action NOW

How my son’s birthday party made me realise its parents’ fault kids are getting fatter… we must take action NOW

    [ad_1]

WE are getting so fat that nearly 50 MILLION of us in this country will be classed as overweight or obese by 2050.

A new report has shown that unless drastic action is taken, six in ten adults and a THIRD of youngsters around the world will be so fat they will be putting their health at risk.

A new report claims a THIRD of youngsters around the world will be so fat they will be putting their health at risk
Overweight child struggling to fasten jeans.

    9

It is mums and dads — just like me — who are guilty of putting their children’s health in dangerCredit: Getty

    And that is terrifying.

There are so many factors we could blame for our children getting fatter.

There’s the external influences — the chicken shops near the school gates, the adverts preying on our children via social media and the sweets tempting kiddies in supermarkets.

But really the only people to blame are their parents.

It is mums and dads — just like me — who are guilty of putting their children’s health in danger.

We are a generation who should be doing a better job of educating and encouraging our kids to make better choices, but often don’t.

When my working mum’s guilt gets the better of me, I take my son for an ice cream or give him his favourite food of pizza.

When I’m in a rush, there’s nothing better than delivering up some microwave chips in a couple of minutes.

And the more that you give, the more they want. It’s not their fault, they are children.

I recently put on a party for my son’s sixth birthday and, looking back, the spread at the play centre was an obesity-fuelled heart attack of the future.

Sun Club’s exclusive interview with Gemma Collins about her weight loss journey

There were chicken nuggets — the highly processed kind with barely any actual chicken that would horrify Jamie Oliver — some greasy chips and rubber pizza.

For dessert, there were biscuits, lollies and a slushie for the birthday boy.

In the goodie bags, there were thick slices of cake.

Luckily, my son isn’t overweight — yet — but there was probably more fat and sugar than your average adult should have in a week. And that horrifies me.

When I had my sixth birthday party, it was much healthier: cheese sarnies, maybe some jelly with mandarins in — you get the idea.

We never whinged because we were all eating the same thing.

    No excuses

Yes, it may have been easier for parents back in the Eighties.

They were often stay-at-home mums who didn’t have kids bugging them to go to a milkshake “bar” or hoping for Haribos in a party bag, because they hadn’t yet been invented.

But after seeing this new obesity report, I realise that, as difficult as it may be for the parents of today, many of us need to overhaul our parenting skills.

If we are going to stop our kids dying from diabetes in the future, it is us, the parents, who need to grab hold of the situation. No excuses.

I don’t plan to start feeding my child mung beans at his seventh birthday party because he really wouldn’t thank me for that.

But I am going to stop using food — mainly sugar and fat — as a treat and take more control of his diet, because he can’t do it for himself.

Otherwise, by 2050, he could be one of the millions riddled with obesity.

And no child is ever going to thank their parents for that, either.

Cameron a shoe-in for panto dame

CAMERON DIAZ was on the front row for Stella McCartney’s Paris Fashion Week show and looked like a smouldering lady in red – until you focused on her feet.

The actress wore the designer’s shoes to match her outfit, and it looked like style queen Anna Wintour was trying to put as much space as possible between herself and the offensive footwear.

    KILLERS CANNOT COWER

CROSSBOW killer Kyle Clifford is possibly one of the most evil men this country has ever known, and it disgusts me that this week he was not dragged into court.

He ripped apart a family like something in a horror film.

Photo of Kyle Clifford, arrested on suspicion of murder.

    9

After his girlfriend Louise Hunt dumped him, he went to her home and murdered her as well as her mum and sister, in a “final act of spite”. What a sick, twisted monster.

He later tried to kill himself with his crossbow but sadly failed. He was paralysed from the chest down.

At Cambridge Crown Court, he exercised his right not to attend when he was found guilty of raping Louise, even though the trial was held there so he could be wheeled into the dock.

He refused to even watch from his prison cell.

The judge praised Louise’s dad, BBC racing commentator John Hunt, and his surviving daughter, for their “dignity” and “restraint”.

Clifford should have been made to face them in that courtroom.

Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood says the law will soon change so reasonable force can be used to get criminals into the dock for sentencing.

I hope this goes through swiftly because, right now, criminals are being allowed to make an absolute mockery of the system.

    I’M FAN, CHLOE

THIS week I interviewed Chloe Brockett about her life on Towie.

I was expecting her to be a stroppy little madam but couldn’t have been more wrong.

Chloe Brockett at the Celebrity Ex on the Beach event.

    9

Chloe Brockett signed up to OnlyFansCredit: PA

She was sweet, emotional and refreshingly straight talking. I liked her a lot.

And I applaud her for signing up to OnlyFans and posing in her underwear to pay the bills.

It angers me that some people have knocked her for that when there are millions sitting at home claiming benefits, who simply can’t be bothered to work.

I know which is the classier option.

    MEG IS WASTE OF TIME

I ONLY watched a few minutes of the first episode of Netflix’s With Love, Meghan.

Not because I am above watching trivial rubbish (I love it), but because unlike Meghan Markle, who seems to have time on her hands to fanny about, I do not.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in a white shirt.

    9

The show made me think of her sister-in-law Kate, who also doesn’t have the time – partly thanks to Meghan, as Kate is now doing the job of two women after Harry and his wife deserted their royal duties.

I imagine Kate is the happier of the two.

She knows she is loyal and loving, with a sense of purpose and duty, and is surrounded by her extended family.

That’s something money from a trash Netflix show could never buy.

I AM so grateful to the TFL worker who cheered up my Tuesday morning in London.

On the Tube Tannoy at Moorgate station, he told all passengers to “have a lovely day and to smile”.

And we did – there were smiles all round for one another. It’s often the little things in life that make a difference.

Hannah Ingram-Moore is self-publishing it, most likely using some of the huge sum of money she selfishly pocketed from a previous book deal.

And presumably because no publisher would rush to print it.

    The woman is shameless.

I hate to think what her poor father would think of it all.

She shared: ‘It’s happening! Oh my God, I’ve had pains all day from 12pm, I’ve been at a kids’ party, I’ve been walking around, and then it’s just got too much the pain.

‘It’s every three to five minutes these contractions.’

Charlotte revealed Matt would be trying to keep fans up to date throughout the process as her partner excitedly smiled to the camera from the driver’s seat.

True to his word, Matt then took to Instagram again after Charlotte was admitted to hospital as he documented their journey.

He shared photographs of her experiencing contractions while lying in her hospital bed as he gushed that he was ‘so proud’ of her before she gave birth.

The couple are yet to announce the name of their newborn daughter. They already share two sons, Noah, four, and Jude, 18 months.

But Charlotte recently hinted that she already had a few name options for the baby girl: Gigi, Penelope and Isabella, though it remains to be seen if she will use them.

Charlotte previously announced her third child’s gender on an episode of her podcast My Naughty Corner with her co-host Janine Marsh.

She said: ‘Finallyyyyy it’s a pink fangita. I’m having a girl!’

Janine asked: ‘Mate how are you feeling? Right let’s crack open the Nosecco while you tell me about your thoughts on how you’re about to be a girl mum.’

‘So it’s finally out,’ Charlotte replied. ‘It’s finally out to all of you all. It’s been the hardest secret ever because I’m so bad at keeping secrets as you know. I just feel so relieved that I can finally say it, but I just can’t believe it.

‘I never thought I’d have a girl, ever. And I’ve finally got my little princess. I’m gonna have my little best friend for life.

The boys know, so I went for the gender scan and Noah is just so excited to have a little sister. He keeps saying: ‘There’s a little girl in mummy’s tummy’.’

Their jovial baby news comes after a difficult time for the couple as it was revealed in August that Matt had been sexting another woman behind Charlotte’s back.

Charlotte has been with the rugby league player, 32, for eight years, and together they already share two sons.

But she was was left hurt and humiliated after discovering he had sent intimate texts to another woman behind her back.

Addressing the news on an episode of her podcast, she said: ‘I’ve seen the messages they’re not nice, it really hurt’.

But just weeks after the news broke, Charlotte shocked fans by revealing she was pregnant with their ‘surprise’ third child.

Charlotte later gave an update on their relationship, admitting the pair were taking each day as it comes.

She explained: ‘Yeah, it’s been It’s been emotional, but it’s been like an actual rollercoaster everything. But now I feel a lot better.

‘I feel a bit like everything’s been lifted a little bit. We’re taking each day as it comes obviously we have children together and obviously got another baby on the way and he is trying so I just want to shake him.’

Commenting on her decision to talk about her difficult personal life on her podcast she said: ‘I’m open and honest. I think that’s just the way I’ve always been. I think that’s just the way I’ve always been.

‘It was difficult for me to be so open about my private life because I know I’m, like, open about fun, things and stuff. So it was quite hard for me, and I felt like the podcast was the best place to do it. It’s like my safe space.

He also appeared on Celebs Go Dating with Charlotte as they worked through their relationship problems four years ago.

After their appearance, the couple split but reunited and he popped the question.
