Miley Cyrus has been left ‘fuming’ over her dad Billy Ray Cyrus’ latest public praise of her amid their family feud.

On Tuesday, Billy Ray gave Miley as well as his youngest daughter Noah Cyrus, 25, a a rare shout-out on Instagram after they each announced new chapters in their music careers.

Miley confirmed her upcoming visual album Something Beautiful, which is out May 30, while Noah plugged her song Don’t Put It All On Me in collaboration with Fleet Foxes.

Taking to Instagram afterward, the 63-year-old patriarch — who is understood to be on rocky terms with some of his kids, including Miley and son Trace, 36 — shared a split photo of Miley and Noah along with an emphatic caption.

‘Holy s**t. I seldom ever swear in my post but this deserves one! You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad, who with in less than one [week’s] time, has had his a** kicked and his mind blown by not one …but two of his own daughters,’ he wrote. He tagged the sisters as he continued, ‘Flesh and blood… completely taking their art to a whole new level. Congratulations girls! Well done.’

Following the gushing public tribute, a source exclusively shared with DailyMail.com that Miley isn’t happy with her father’s emotional display and fears it could ‘overshadow’ her big music comeback.

‘Miley doesn’t want the family feud drama overshadowing her music career, especially right now as she gears up for a new era,’ the insider dished.

Billy Ray continued heaping praise on his kids, adding, ‘I’m so damn proud of both of you. I’m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy! Love Dad.’

The insider close to the Wrecking Ball hitmaker and her latest music campaign emphasized, ‘It feels like Billy is making this all about him while Miley has made it quite clear she wants to focus on her music and not have their family drama be part of the conversation.’

Miley notably did not include her father in her speech last year when she accepted her first Grammy, which she won for Best Pop Solo Performance for her song Flowers.

The pair have had a strained relationship in the wake of his messy personal life, which includes a public, vitriolic divorce from Firerose in 2024 after a short-lived marriage that lasted less than a year.

In addition to Miley, Noah, and Trace, Billy shares son Braison, 30, Brandi, 37, with ex-wife Tish Cyrus, 57. He also has a 32-year-old son named Christopher, whom he shares with Kristin Luckey.

Days after his ‘train wreck‘ performance at Donald Trump‘s inauguration earlier this year, Billy Ray announced a music collaboration with Braison.

In February Noah took to social media to congratulate her dad on releasing a new song, writing, ‘So proud of my Dad’s INCREDIBLE new single LOST with my good, old friend [Sam Tinnesz] and [Tommee Profitt],’ according to People.

Meanwhile, following Billy’s wonky inauguration performance — which was marked by technical difficulties — Trace made a public plea for his dad to get help.

He wrote in an Instagram post, ‘You’re not healthy, Dad & everyone is noticing it.’

It was added: ‘Since my earliest memories all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever.

‘I wanted to be just like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life.

‘Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.

‘You may be upset with me for posting this but I really could care less at this point. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away.’

His ex-wife Firerose also spoke out about the seemingly struggling country star at the time.

She addressed her former spouse’s behavior via a statement shared with Page Six.

‘What’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship,’ the Australian singer revealed.

‘It’s very sad to see those same struggles continue for him, but I’m glad the truth is coming to light — for his potential good because healing is only possible when you confront the truth and accept there’s a problem,’ she told the outlet.

The body of a newborn baby has been found outside a church in London, with police urgently appealing for the mother to come forward for her own welfare.

Officers were called at 12:46pm on Tuesday to Powis Gardens in Notting Hill, west London, after a report that the body of a baby had been found in a bag left outside a church.

London ambulance service attended and the baby was declared dead at the scene.

Officers remain in the area outside All Saints church and urgent inquiries are ongoing to locate the baby’s mother, the Metropolitan police said.

The baby’s gender and exact age had not been established, the force added.

Supt Owen Renowden said: “This is an extremely sad and shocking matter and officers are working hard to establish the circumstances around what has taken place.

“This investigation is in the early stages and our immediate priority is to locate the baby’s mother, who we believe may have very recently given birth.

“If you are the baby’s mother and are reading this, please come forward to police or medical professionals.

“You must feel very frightened but please let us help – we are really worried about you and it is vitally important you get medical assistance and support. You can walk into any hospital, or a police station.”

The Met said anyone who might have any information about the incident or was in the area between 10am and 12:30pm on Tuesday should contact police.

The majority of parents said the report cards were easy to understand (86%) and they found the use of colour coding to grade schools helpful (84%), according to the poll commissioned by the watchdog.

The findings come after education unions criticised Ofsted’s proposed inspection reforms for being “worse” than the system they would replace.

The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) has called for the implementation of any new approach to be delayed until September 2026 to allow “proper time” to consider the sector’s “major concerns”.

But in a speech to charity Parentkind on Wednesday, Sir Martyn Oliver, chief inspector of Ofsted, will say the new report cards will help parents to engage meaningfully with a school “on the issues that need attention”.

The Ofsted chief will tell parents: “Sometimes, it may validate your concerns, other times it may reassure you that an individual experience is not the norm.”

Schools could be graded across eight to 10 areas of a provision – including attendance, inclusion, behaviour and wellbeing – using a colour-coded five-point scale.

They would receive ratings – from the red-coloured “causing concern” to orange-coloured “attention needed”, through the green shades of “secure”, “strong” and “exemplary” – for each area of practice.

A YouGov online poll, of 1,090 parents in England, suggests that 67% said they prefer the report cards over current inspection reports.

The survey, which ran between March 5 and 11, found that 78% of parents agreed the information in report cards would be useful to them.

The Government announced last year that headline Ofsted grades for overall effectiveness for schools in England would be scrapped.

Previously, Ofsted awarded one of four single-phrase inspection judgments: outstanding, good, requires improvement and inadequate.

The move came after Ofsted faced criticism following the death of headteacher Ruth Perry.

Mrs Perry took her own life in January 2023 after an Ofsted report downgraded her Caversham Primary School in Reading from the highest to the lowest overall effectiveness rating over safeguarding concerns.

When asked which of the proposed evaluation areas they considered to be the most useful, around half of parents ranked behaviour and attitudes highest (51%), followed closely by personal development and wellbeing (48%).

In a speech to parents in London on Wednesday, Sir Martyn will say: “Report cards will help give a more balanced picture of schools because the best schools aren’t perfect and have areas where they could do better, and the schools which might be seen as ‘weaker’ will have aspects of their work that they do really well.

“In that way a school’s report card will be much closer to a child’s school report.

“Going back to my art teacher days, the one-word grade paints a monochrome picture of a school, we want to paint it in colour.”

But he will add that the proposals “are not set in stone”.

Sir Martyn will say: “I’m sure there are things that could be better, things we could refine.

“But we are encouraged that parents seem to support the broad approach that we have set out.”

Last month, Ofsted launched a consultation on its plans to introduce a report card system for grading schools in England.

In its response to the consultation, the ASCL called on Ofsted and the Government to delay the implementation of any new inspection approach to allow time for proper consideration and to “adjust the proposals accordingly”.

Pepe Di’Iasio, general secretary of the ASCL, said the proposed approach “risks intensifying the pressure” on education staff at a time when workload pressures are high and teacher shortages are widespread.

He said: “We doubt that parents would support a system which worsens teacher shortages and is at significant risk of being unreliable and inconsistent.

“A more effective and sustainable approach would be a three-point grading scale – of either ‘secure’, ‘attention needed’ or ‘causing concern’ – with an area in inspection reports to highlight exceptional practice.

“This would provide parents with clear and reliable information while avoiding unnecessary harm to the wellbeing of the education workforce.”

Paul Whiteman, general secretary of school leaders’ union NAHT, said: “Ofsted has rather missed the point with this survey.

“While some parents may find colour coding useful, it will matter very little if the grades and judgments are as unreliable as most professionals expect they will be.

“Extending the number of areas for judgement would only pile more pressure on to schools and make it almost impossible for inspectors to reach a reliable judgment in just two days.”

He added: “If Ofsted and the Government are serious about creating a framework which truly meets the needs of parents and their children, these plans need a really significant rethink, working much more closely with the profession.”

Jason Elsom, chief executive of Parentkind, said: “Credit where it is due, the Department for Education and Ofsted have leaned into the role of parents in the education of their children and we welcome how parents have been prioritised with the new report card.

“The new report card will ensure no school can get top marks without getting parent engagement right.

“We know this can add up to two or three years to a child’s education, which is why it is important we lock it into new-style Ofsted report cards.”

A Department for Education (DfE) spokesperson said: “High and rising school standards are at the heart of our mission to break down barriers to opportunity and give every child the chance to achieve and thrive.

“It is great to see parents are in support of Ofsted’s new report cards which intend to give a more complete picture of school performance.

“As part of this we have launched a public consultation on our proposals to reform the school accountability system and our new Rise teams, backed by an initial investment of £20 million, will act as a catalyst for school improvement across the country.”

A Utah man has been accused of killing the mother of his children and setting her home on fire before snatching their young children.

Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ricardo Trujillo Rojel, 29, on charges of aggravated murder and aggravated arson on Monday.

Authorities were first alerted to the situation shortly before an area amber alert was issued for the two children. The mother’s body was found inside a burning trailer in the Riverdale Manufactured Home Community in Riverdale, about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City.

Officials responded to the fire at 2:46 p.m. on Monday.

“The trailer was filled with smoke, and the responding officer saw a female laying on the ground near the doorway,” a police booking affidavit obtained by KSL.com stated. “The female victim had severe burn marks on her body.”

Deputies suspected homicide could’ve played a factor in the woman’s death when they pulled her body out of the burning structure and observed a puncture wound on her neck. It appeared the wound was made with a sharp object, the outlet reported. A pair of blue jeans nearby also had blood on them and investigators located a gas can inside the trailer.

Around 5:15 p.m., officials issued an Amber Alert for the woman’s two children, who are 2 and 3 years old. Officials say Trujillo abducted them.

Around 7:30 p.m., officials received a tip stating a man and two children were seen walking away from a truck toward Hobble Creek Canyon, a recreational area near Springville.

Sheriff’s deputies responded, recovered the children, and took Trujillo into custody. The children have been placed with family members.

Trujillo resisted arrest and assaulted an officer, police said, adding blood was found inside his vehicle. He continued to resist arrest upon arriving at Weber County Jail.

According to the outlet, neighbors reportedly told police the man and woman were moving out of the trailer on Monday. One neighbor told officials they’d heard the woman scream shortly before police arrived on the scene. Other neighbors said the couple was in the process of moving out of the structure on the day of the fire.

They were planning to move to Roy, a city in Weber County, police said.

Earlier in the day, the woman had gone to the bank with her mother, who lives in the same trailer park. At the bank, the man called the woman and told her to return home. The victim drove home after the phone call, the mother told police, adding it was the last time she spoke to her daughter.

Trujillo had previously served a 180-day sentence after being convicted of choking and punching his pregnant girlfriend in 2021.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Parents at the Columbia School District say their children have been bullied and tonight they’re taking action.

Today parent Samantha Short stood outside the school to peacefully protest bullying in the schools, holding a sign that said ‘my child is bullied here’.

“This is how we help our children this is what we do, as a community we have to come together. We got to show our children what it’s like to not bully— if we’re not teaching and leading them, who are they following?”

Just last Thursday— Short met with school officials and informed them she’d be standing outside Columbia High School with a sign.

She told me parents were waving and children were coming up to hug her — but the district was not pleased.

“When the school saw the sign, she walked up to me and said Mrs. Short— I’ve called the cops on you and walked away. I issued no response to her because I was here for a peaceful protest to let them know what’s happening to my child,” Short explained.

Since Short’s peaceful protest this morning dozens of other parents in the district have come forward about other instances of alleged bullying.

Some say they’ve gone as far as to move their kids out of the schools to online learning.

“As of right now, as a parent, I am absolutely horrified to send my kids to school there,” said former Columbia parent Harold Rote.

Angel Albring, another former Columbia parent said she moved her child to another district.

“I made teachers aware of this, I made the guidance counselor I talked to the assistant principal I tried talked to the principal— it wasn’t until I had quit my job and moved my kids to homeschooling that she actually gave me a call,” said Albring, who had three children in elementary school.

Short told me allegations of bullying involving her child focused on verbal abuse – including one instance where she claims a racial slur was used.

The bullying reportedly had been circulating through the entire district, including the middle and elementary schools.

CBS 21’s Sarah Burns reached out to the district’s superintendent for comment, but has not gotten a response.

“Please Columbia Borough School District do better for our children. The bullying has got to stop,” said Short.

Short told me her and other parents are planning again to peacefully protest for their children on Wednesday.

Princess Beatrice’s baby Athena has featured in the first photo taken of the royal since Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s first announced her birth.

The Princess of York, 36, gave birth to her second daughter several weeks premature at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on January 22.

The photograph was captured as part of a special baby shower collection Princess Beatrice created with her close friend Alice Naylor-Leyland.

The collaboration supports Borne, a medical research charity dedicated to ending premature birth.

This cause is particularly meaningful to Beatrice, as Athena was born several weeks premature.

The collection celebrates both motherhood and friendship while raising awareness for an issue close to the royal’s heart.

The new photo of baby Athena emerged just hours after Beatrice’s opened up on the preterm birth in a new personal essay for British Vogue, explaining how baby Athena was welcomed by the family a few weeks before her due date.

She said: “Nothing quite prepares you for the moment when you realise your baby is going to arrive early.”
