  • Dentastix Are Causing Dogs Seizures

    Dentastix Are Causing Dogs Seizures

A warning for all you dog owners. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT give your dog pedigree dentastix. After a lot of detective work, we have realised that these dentastix were the reason Minnie was having seizures. Her potassium levels came back high (hyperkalemia).

Hyperkalemia is caused by injestion of antifreeze. And guess what dentastix contain? ANTIFREEZE!!! Pedigree obviously don’t display this on their products, instead they display it as Sodium Tripolyphosphate which is a component of antifreeze! Please be careful what you are feeding your dogs. I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to go through what we have with Minnie, it has been awful. Pedigree dentastix are now banned from this house.

Yes there is going to be a debate around it and I’m not saying this can happen to every dog, but it has happened to ours. Do your own research into it and form your own opinion. But I am not the only one who has had bad experiences with dentastix. I completely understand that STTP is in a lot of foods that us as humans eat and also animals, but too much of something isn’t good for you

  • Is This The New Way To Kidnap Children?

So me & my grandma were shopping today & we had both my babies with us! I was looking at sunglasses and Jessalyn was right beside me trying some on.

Well she went on the other side to look at the other pairs, remind you I still could see her! About 3 seconds later I hear Jessie say MUM pretty loud, I hurry and go to the other side & there’s this man talking to her.

I yank her arm and picked her up as this man is still continuing talking to her, he tries to hand her 2 pictures of Mickey Mouse, I take them out of his hand & start walking away. He still tries talking to us & he tells us he gets the pictures from Disney land all the time and hands them out to kids.

They were cut out pictures from a printer like at home… NOTHING TO DO WITH DISNEY LAND. On my way over to my grandma so I could tell her what just happened. I watch him and he hurries out the store. No bags no nothing!

So as I’m telling my grandma what happened there was 2 women following me. They seen me put the Mickey Mouse pictures in my pocket.. and acted weird, well they were close enough to hear me telling my nana what happened! And you could tell they were acting really suspicious at that point.

So  I open my big mouth and state to them they can go on about their business and get away from my damn kids. Because at this point I just felt so uneasy.. & really didn’t know who to trust with all the human trafficking stories I’ve recently seen.

Once I made a scene loud enough other people could hear me! Those two women RUSHED OUT THE STORE. Again with no bags no nothing!!! My grandma thinks the man tried giving Jessie the pictures to Tag her! So the women knew she was one to grab.

I have never felt so scared in my life!! & I was literally right with her, the man just couldn’t see me and thought she was out of our sight.

Please everyone if you take your babies in a store with you DON’T let them out of your sight

  • Close Your Doors At Night Mums

Anyone else sleep with their bedroom door open at night?!?

I have always kept my three children’s bedroom doors open so that I could hear them in the night, you know if they cry a nightmare and call out for me, but Since seeing this photo I realise nightmares can come true, as their mother it is my job to protect them from the monsters under their beds and te threat to their lives when they sleep.

By simply closing all the doors in the house of the night if the worst was to happen the chance of survival dramatically increases, I still need to hear them of a night for my own security really so although my youngest child is 7 she has a baby monitor in her room now and my older boys know if they have a problem to walk to my where I am to tell rather than yelling, and yes my eldest is 14 but I still check on him before I go to sleep.

The room with the closed door only got to about 100 degrees and nearly no damage. The room on the right reached over 500 degrees and had significant damage, if this isn’t a shock or a wake up call im not sure what is.

If you’ve ever gone through a house fire, my heart goes out to you. The sheer thought of it gives me chills.

Consider closing your doors mums, keep them babies safe.

  • These Men Ruined Our Lives Can You Help?

Twenty four weeks ago today our lives changed forever when these four men broke into our family home in Essex, they terrorized our two little dogs and ransacked our bedrooms looking for car keys. Not having much luck finding them they smashed into the safe that was in our bedroom cupboard, stole every item of jewellery I had collected over the fifty years of my life including the irreplaceable items of jewellery from my mum, grandmother and aunts and my great-grandad’s war medals that I had placed in there after losing my dad four weeks earlier.

Having found the spare keys to my son’s car, they stashed everything into the pillowcase from our bed and left the house by the back door. Driving round to the front of our house in their getaway car, two of them then jumped out and stole my son’s six-month old car from the driveway.

So how has it affected us so much? It’s been a living nightmare, when you think you’re insured you find out that you’re not and have to pay almost £30,000 to settle the payment on the car. Who has receipts and photographs of jewellery they own? How can you put a value on the sentimental items of jewellery that belonged to your mum and that you can never replace? Do you every actually get the value back on the things you’ve lost? How do you sleep at night, when you constantly wake thinking there’s someone in the house? How do you reassure your dogs that everyone entering the house isn’t here to abuse you?

SOMEONE MUST KNOW THESE FOUR MEN!! How can they sleep at night?? Don’t let them get away with this, please share and help us catch them because it could be you next time!!

I just hope that everyone that reads this will share. Thank you

  • Serious Health Risk From Candles

Lisa Paterson has taken to Facebook to warn other about candles, Paterson said “I had to take Caitlin to a&e this morning as she woke up and her face was covered in soot. I thought it was carbon monoxide from my boiler but it wasn’t. The hospital confirmed that Caitlin had been getting poisoned during the night as she slept by her candle and if she lay there much longer the outcome would have been so different. Caitlin had burned and blew out her candle the night before and it turned black during the night. All candles have been thrown out of this house as they are so dangerous. I had never heard of this before so I am sharing this status to let everyone else know how dangerous candles can be. Thankfully Caitlin is ok she was a very lucky girl today”.

The number of aromatic candle manufacturers, professional and amateur, grows each year. A number of these introduce candles to their product line without the knowledge necessary to produce a safe and clean-burning product. Chemical testing provides conclusive evidence that emissions from some burning candles contain more than twenty volatile organic compounds, lead and a significant amount of carbon.

Burning scented candles inside homes, flats and commercial buildings can present serious health hazards to those living and working there. It can also mean damage to ventilation systems, furnishing and content. Evidence suggests breathing even one micron of particulate soot can be hazardous. Scientists have determined breathing particulate matter 2.5 microns or smaller is detrimental to human health. These particles are dangerous because they are inhaled deeply into the lungs, causing irritation and respiratory problems. Those at extra risk include people with heart or lung disease, children and the elderly.

It is advised to burn candles for no more than an hour at a time and allow for cool-down period before re-lighting. Do not burn candles under a draft, like vents or near fans and heaters.

  • Justice For Preston- A Must Read For New Parents

5 years ago today our worlds fell apart around us, that was the day you grew your wings. It feels like a lifetime but at the same time just yesterday. The pain and feelings of missing you have never left us.

11th September felt like any other day, it was a Wednesday and I’d planned to go into town to get some wallpaper, We were still decorating the house we’d moved into 2 months prior. We’d never had a house before. Before that when Preston was first born we lived in a little one bed flat that you couldn’t even swing a cat in. 2 adults and 2 babies, our eldest daughter was waking at every noise so us and Preston moved into the living room. It was a tight squeeze so there was a real excitement to make our nice spacious new home perfect. We didn’t know that 2 months later everything would change, our lives would change forever.

Back to that day, I woke up and went straight to the bathroom to get washed and ready for the day ahead. I walked straight past Preston’s bedroom. You’d think you’d know, you have a connection with your children after carrying them for 9 months but I didn’t know, I didn’t feel dread, it felt like a normal day. I went downstairs to find cuc in the kitchen supervising our daughter eating her breakfast, she’d just finished so I asked if Preston was up yet?, he said no and said he was going to get him. He put our daughter in front of the tv and I sat down with her.

A minute later I heard a moan, the only way I can describe it is like a wounded animal. We had 2 dogs so I thought they were playing, I shouted through to them to “pack it up”. Seconds went by and my stomach dropped, I felt the dread I should’ve felt earlier, I shouted “what?” No reply “what?” Again, the feeling of dread got stronger so I ran up the stairs. That’s when my life changed. I found cuc in Preston’s bedroom door cradling our baby, fighting back tears, time had stopped.

I noticed Preston wasn’t moving, he was an active baby so normally he’d try and make his escape but he didn’t. I knew immediately then that he was dead. I asked cuc if I needed to ring an ambulance and he said yes. I think I needed him to confirm I wasn’t imagining this nightmare.

I screamed, screamed like I’d never screamed before and ran down the stairs still screaming and grabbed the phone from the dock at the bottom and dialled 999. When the operator answered everything was in slow motion and she was asking what service I needed, all I could think was that this was wasting time and I was confused so I screamed “all of them, please help me, my babies dead” she asked me to take the phone upstairs, I didn’t want to because I didn’t want to see my baby gone, all I’d seen was the back of his head before that but I ran the phone upstairs and found cuc in our bedroom trying to revive Preston but it was obvious we were too late, he was grey, I fell to my knees and felt like I’d died the most painful death.

Recently he told me during one of our many arguments at this time of year that I’d “lost it” so he had to be strong for us, to keep what was left if our family together. He was right.

Minutes felt like hours before the police arrived, 2 local officers I’d known for a few years with it being a small town, their lives changed forever too. they went upstairs and I wasn’t allowed back up again and all I wanted was to hold my baby but if I did I wouldn’t have let them take him. Paramedics arrived soon after, cuc was still upstairs. They didn’t even try but I understand why, nothing would’ve saved him, it had been too long. Before long the house was swarming with police, rumours circulating the town of murder which was as far from the truth as it could get, rumours which had a massive effect on me.

It felt like hours before one of the officers I knew came downstairs and asked if I wanted to make the arrangements to take Preston to the hospital, I couldn’t I was in no fit state and I wouldn’t have known where to start. I asked him to do it and told him to make sure it was somebody respectful and told him to close the door when they took him because I couldn’t watch him leave the house for the last time. I liked this officer and days later he came around to see how we were, I got the feeling Preston was the first baby death he’d attended.

The 2 officers we knew drove us to the hospital to identify Preston and sat with us until CID arrived. In the waiting room something switched in my mind and I wanted to know what happened, I wouldn’t stop pushing even though cuc was telling me I couldn’t handle it, he was trying to protect me. I kept pushing and he told me when he’d gone to get Preston up, he thought he was asleep so he tried to pick him up but couldn’t and that’s when he realised his bumper was wrapped around his neck, he unwrapped it twice. It was secure, knotted 3 times, so secure it had to be cut off with scissors, the tie that snapped still remained on his cot. He was right I couldn’t handle it, I felt like it was my fault and guilt ate at me.

When we identified Preston he looked so peaceful, for a second I thought he was asleep. I bent down and stroked his head, I begged him to wake up and we could go home. I stroked his hair, I remember touching him and he felt empty, I could feel the life that was inside of him was gone.

That night I couldn’t stay at home, I stayed with a friend and I vowed I would make some good come from this, when I got home I opened the laptop and googled “cot bumper deaths” there was loads, i felt sick, if I’d have done that sooner Preston would be here now. That’s when I made this page, there was no time to lose and I knew bumpers were on cots all around the world, I needed to reach people immediately and that’s what we did.

5 years later Preston’s death wasn’t in vain, he died for a reason. Advice has changed, laws have changed all because we stood up.

Despite the changes made babies have still died, unnecessarily. If there’s ever a day to save a life it’s today, Preston died on this date, we can save a baby on this date too with a single share or tag.

This was the last photo I ever took of Preston, we will treasure it until the end of time. 💙

  • Don’t Let Anyone Kiss Your Baby On The Lips

Oliver Jaz Miller was born 3rd of August 2018. when he was 11 days old, he slowly stopped drinking milk throughout the night and started up with a temperature.

When he was 12 days old me and my partner rushed him to hospital  Oliver was put onto a heated bed with oxygen. He had a feeding tube put in, along with a long line and a number of cannulas

After 8 days of watching Oliver fight for his life in High Dependency Unit (HDU) the doctor finally came in and said Oliver had caught neonatal herpes. As you could imagine me and my partner was shocked, we couldn’t comprehend What he just said

The doctor began to explain the herpes simplex virus can be passed onto a newborn baby if; a person has a cold sore and kisses the baby or touches the baby after touching the Cold sore.

Cold sores are at their most contagious when they burst (rupture). They remain contagious until completely healed.

Oliver spent 21 long days in the hospital and we finally get to go home with 6 months of antibiotics and visits to the hospital

Please respect newborn baby and stay away if you have a cold sore.

We’re the lucky ones! A few hours later this could be reading so differently.

KEEP YOUR NEWBORNS SAFE, don’t let anyone kiss your baby on the lips, ensure everyone washes hands before they touch your baby and keep anyone with a cold sore away

  • Girl Ends Up In Hospital After Idiots At A Festival

To all the festival go’ers in Leeds, and in particular the scum bag idiots that threw a deodorant canister into a camp fire.

My brave Daughter Sophie is now in Wythenshaw Hospital specialist Burns Unit along with her friend probably for some time.

On Friday night some irresponsible idiot threw a deodorant canister into their camp fire, the subsequent explosion seriously burnt two teenagers who were having a nice time, after working hard and saving up for their (expensive) tickets, they were obviously looking forward to a fantastic weekend away, and now they are both in hospital with second and third degree burns.

To the person who threw the canister and his friends….. we will find out who you are, I doubt if someone of your intelligence has the balls or are brave enough to own up – face up to these facts along with your friends. Somebody will have seen you do it.

YOUR ACTIONS HAVE SERIOUSLY AFFECTED TWO YOUNG LADIES LIVES.

YOU HAVE INFLICTED SECOND DEGREE AND THIRD DEGREE BURNS ON THEIR FACES, ARMS, LEGS AND HANDS.

ON BOTH GIRLS THE BURNS ON THE FACE ARE SERIOUSLY CLOSE TO THEIR EYES, WE DONT KNOW IF THEIR EYESIGHT WILL BE AFFECTED YET.

THEIR EYELASHES AND EYEBROWS WERE COMPLETELY BURNT OFF

They are both having to have layers of skin peeled off by the Doctors to stop any infection – NICE – well done

Second-degree (partial thickness) burns involve the epidermis and part of the dermis layer of skin. The burn site appears red, blistered, and may be swollen and painful.

Third-degree (full thickness) burns destroy the epidermis and dermis and may go into the subcutaneous tissue. The burn site may appear white or charred

They are both still in shock from the experience and have lost a festival weekend BECAUSE OF YOUR ACTIONS – YOU COMPLETE FUCKING MORON.

To all Parents – please re post this and anyone good at twitter add the appropriate hash tags – to get this message out there so there is a complete BAN on any kind of canister at festivals.

They have to walk daily to stop any new growing skin from pulling tight and tearing – every step is very painful

Oh – and by the way both girls will have to stay out of the sun for two years to avoid getting skin cancer – THATS NICE WHEN YOU’RE A TEENAGER THAT LIKES BEING OUT DOORS……TWO YEARS !!!

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE DONE OR THE LONG TERM CONSEQUENCES TO TWO YOUNG LADIES LIVES !!!

To all Parents – please re post this and anyone good at twitter add the appropriate hash tags – to get this message out there so there is a complete BAN on any kind of canister at festivals.
