  • Serious Risk If Your Hair Stands On End

    So.. the most craziest thing happened to us today, we went to our local beach to let the boys try out their new wet suits, we new we wouldn’t be staying long as there was a storm brewing. As Alex and I were walking to catch the boys up we both felt really strange, I looked over at Alex and his hair was standing on end and so was mine, even the hairs on our arms.

    We shouted over to the boys who had reached the sea at this point and both of their hair were also standing on end. The thunder started and we decided it wasn’t safe for us so we started running back towards the car, as I lifted my hand over my head there was a really loud crackling that even Alex heard, we were really freaked out. Whilst we were sat in the car we saw two massive lightening bolts strike right where we had been previously standing!

    We googled all the things we experienced and were so shocked to find out how much danger we were actually in, and actually feel very stupid now for not knowing! So just thought I’d spread the awareness in case there’s other stupid people like us 🙈

    Just in case you’re also one of those moms or dads who forgets to carry in all the sippies and bottles from the car after an adventure..

    the hubby pulled this one out before going anywhere else with the little one today, it’s got apple juice in it from an earlier trip out.

    I guess it was hot enough to spark his curiosity, and as we found is also hot enough to scold the inside of well anyone’s mouth, but most importantly the little ones. Thank god he found it before she did.

    I thought I’d share to help possibly avoid any burnt mouths and also to raise awareness on just how hotttt it gets in a closed vehicle in the summer time. Important to remember that the temperature could have been higher making it more dangerous, had the cup been left longer in the car. 🔥🔥🔥

    1. THIS CUP COULD HAVE BEEN HOTTER BUT WE ONLY LEFT THE CUP IN THE CAR FOR A SHORT TIME SO THATS THE MAIN POINT HERE.

    #2. everyone comparing this to a hot coffee, you’re point is null and void here. I don’t know anyone who sips their coffee right away at 150 degrees so they can burn the inside of their mouth, I mean the coffee cups literally say “caution, hot, will cause serious burns”. I surely don’t know anyone who gives their child a hott coffee. This whole post is about how hot a car can get, so not only are we worried about sippy cups, get ya damn kids out of the car, this is about how we as parents aren’t perfect, and how children can some times get a hold of things before we get a chance to.

  • Garden Weather Warning

    ⚠️ Attention ⚠️

    I’ve wanted to cry every time I’ve seen this photo but it’s important to share.

    I know the weather is a bit rubbish today but apparently another heatwave is on the way ☀️

    Please please read this and take note…

    2 years ago this baby suffered 2nd degree burns over 30% of his body from being accidentally sprayed with a garden hose and firefighters have issued a fresh warning recently.

    👨‍🚒Hoping to prevent this type of accident from happening again, the fire department warned:

    🚿 ‘’A garden hose exposed to direct sunlight during summer can heat the water inside the hose (not flowing) to 130-140 degrees Fahrenheit which can cause burns especially to children & animals.

    ✅ Let the water flow a few minutes to cool before spraying on people or animals”

    It’s not something people would immediately think of but with the unusually hot weather lately, it’s worth sharing.

  • Joie Stroller Burn Risk

     

    WARNING!!

    For all you moms looking for strollers to keep your little ones cool this summer, please stay away from Joie. A couple of weeks ago I bought this Joie Nitro Stroller from Argos and 2 days ago while walking to my daughters Nanny’s house the frame of the stroller got so hot in the bank holiday sun that it burnt her finger.

    We weren’t out in the stroller for long, 1 hour tops! And in that time the frame got hot enough to blister her finger so much that we had to take a trip to the hospital.

    Joie claims to ‘put every piece of every product through extreme testing’ in order to keep our babies safe. However, in my experience this was not the case.

    I did not want to put this on Facebook but I didn’t want anyone else to go through the same thing!

    For those of you say that ‘metal gets hot’ I’m not an idiot I know metal gets hot but strollers should be made out of non conducting material so it doesn’t get dangerously hot enough to burn any of our babies. BASIC SCIENCE

  • Kinder Egg Warning-Parents Be Aware

    Georgina Trinder has taken to Facebook to warn other parents about the potential dangers from a certain toy contained in Kinder eggs.

    Trinder said “Hey mummies , just wanna make people aware … I brought my son a kinder egg and inside was bits to build an aeroplane and well…. ended up at the hospital because the wings was so Sharp!! He had to have his foot glued … even the nurses at the hospital was so disgusted with how sharp it was , the age limit does say no under 3s but my son is 3 years old and the could have done damage to an adult let alone a kid …. just wanna let parents know to please be careful with the toys you get from kinder eggs xx”

    Kinder surprise also known as Kinder eggs or Ovetto Kinder is manufactored by Ferrero and have been around since 1974. Each chocoloate egg surrounds a plastic capsule that contains a small toy, parents are advised to always supervise their child/ren when eating a Kinder egg and to check the toys for sharp or broken parts.

  • Omeprazole Medication Warning

    TO U K FRIENDS URGENT ***************************To anyone who takes omeprazole please check your capsules before you take them I returned a pack to my pharmacy today as when I took one out to take this morning it looked grey not the usual white so I opened the others on the same strip they were all dark one looking almost black .

    The pharmacist cut the tablet open instead of little ball-shaped loose bits it was stuck together with a black substance . I took one from the same strip yesterday didn’t notice if it was dark so I may have taken a contaminated one which is quite a worry, so far I seem to be ok but please check your capsules just incase you have the same they were prescribed in jan so are a recent batch of capsules .

    Please repost to your friends get this message out there just incase there may be more out there thanks .

  • YouTube Taught My Child How To Kill Herself

    This is an exceptionally hard thing for me to post. I’ve thought long and hard about this. I’ve decided it’s way too important not to bring awareness to other parents. This is not up for criticism. I only want to let all parents know what to watch for….

    Kids YouTube, roblox, fortnight… no matter how much you think you are monitoring your child.. notifications to what your child is watching. It doesn’t matter. My 7-year-old child was taught how to attempt suicide by kids YouTube and these games. She has expressed that she doesn’t feel neglected or unloved. Instead, she was constantly told to ‘go kill yourself’ by other gamers, by kids YouTube. Shown HOW to.

    Sunday night, she had a full-blown anxiety attack. Which I held her and sang to her while she got through it. Monday, she drew this in school.

    This is a VERY real danger! I NEVER thought I would find myself helping my SEVEN YEAR OLD CHILD through an anxiety attack. PLEASE, keep your children away from these things. I’m just so glad my child was able to express her feelings before she actually tried to harm herself. I never thought something as ‘innocent’ as kids YouTube would have these subliminal messages. Again, I’m only sharing our experience in the hopes to prevent another child going through this.

  • God Bless And Protect Our Drivers

    Father, who is this gentleman who is dead?

    I don’t know, son.

    Just know he was a truck driver.

    The young man is approaching a person with a white shirt and a very elegant pants, he was the boss of that driver, the boy grabs his hand and asks.

    Can I know what a truck driver is?

    The boss responds to a voice and his eyes full of tears

    A driver

    Is a person who sleeps less than a lot of people,

    It goes through the cold, heat, sun, rain, hunger, hours drive and endless waiting.

    And there are moments when he doesn’t have days, Christmas, new year and many other important moments,

    He’s very far away from his family.

    From their children

    From his wife

    From his parents, brothers and sisters,

    Regularly gets scolded or even beaten when they try to steal his goods…

    Go through thousands of fears…

    If he leaves for work, he doesn’t know if he’s going home.

    Or if he has to work for a few days because of the bad weather, or worse still lose his life…

    .. That’s part of what a “truck driver” is.

    Suddenly, the sound of a phone that is in the pocket of the deceased’s pants……

    The boss leaves the child for a moment to take the cell phone, he sees it’s a message from his daughter and with very low voice starts reading it

    He reads:

    (hello daddy ❤, I took the cell phone from mom

    To wish you a happy birthday, I look forward to seeing you and giving your gift because after 2 days you are not back, I look forward to cutting your cake

    Today we’re going to do it together!!

    I love you, daddy. You’re a great father.

    I send you a kiss

    I’ll wait for you at home.

    That’s the life of a “driver” unfortunately often tragic

    Regardless of his society, as a passenger or freighter…

    If you can spread the post so that people instead of criticism appreciate the effort of a driver!

    •Minutes later you can’t find him on ur friend list.

    •HE BLOCKED YOU.

    •Days, weeks, months passes by.

    •You start feeling sick, weak, loose weight, act strange with sores in your mouth.

    •You go to the clinic.

    •Get tested.

    •Minutes later,

    •Nurse walks in.”I’m sorry. You’re HIV Positive!”

    •”.HOW ?”

    •You don’t understand.

    •Reality hits you.

    •You walk home.

    •Scared.

    •Confused.

    •You go to the bus stop.

    •You lay, hopeless, emotionless.
