  • Was I Even Raped? Was It My Fault? Help me

I want to share my story as I’m trying to process what happened to me that night and that it wasn’t right and wasn’t my fault…

I had a friend for 20 years, who I trusted dearly, we’d go to one another with problems etc. He’d been away for a while, so he said he’d come or over with wine. I’m a binge drinker so within 3 hours i had drank 1/2 a bottle of wine and.1/2 a.bottle of rum, maybe more. Once it hit I took myself to bed and phoned my partner, I can’t remember our phone call, but he said we was on the phone over two hours.

I carried on drinking during this also, so god knows how much I had consumed by this point. I couldn’t open my eyes, I remember trying and everything was double. My cousin was here not drinking and was trying to feed me coffee via a straw, which I threw up all over her (lovely). She said I passed out shortly after this, she tried giving my friend the hint to go home and after nearly an hour of him just sat there she said she was going to bed. He got up then, went and brushed his teeth, switched all my plugs off and lights came in my room and shut the door, telling my cousin to knock on if she needed anything (I was still asleep and didn’t hear a thing)

The next thing I remember is him telling me to come over, he started to kiss me I then go back out again and my next memory is him asking me where I keep my dog collars, the next thing I remember is being dragged back by force and then nothing. I was on my back the whole time. I then wake up to him I think, performing oral sex on me I remember looking down and thinking whats happening, but I was far too drunk to really respond to what was happening. I went back out and the next thing I remember is him having sex with me, then I got this conscious out of nowhere and told him to stop I’m seeing someone, I kind of remember him scrambling off my body and I just passed out again.

I woke up confused with no knickers on but my bra and shirt on still done up. I was feeling guilty thinking I cheated on my partner and partly traumatized. My main concern for some reason at that time was my partner, someone else had sex with me.

It was under a month ago and i’m hauted by these questions

what if I did want it at the time? What if this is me being dramatic?

    what if he’s innocent?

what if I led him on?

I don’t know if this is normal. I spend my days trying to get memories back, then I get upset or confused. Can anyone advice me what to do, was I even raped?

  • Don’t Keep Saying You Want This Baby Out Of You

As a mum of not just one but two premature babies, what can really grind me down are mums to be saying “how do I get this baby out” at just 30+ weeks.

Did you know statistics can show that one extra day in you is 2 days less in neo-natal, neo-natal where you have to ask to hold your baby, ask for skin on skin. Neo-natal where you are reduced in cuddles as baby needs rest, rest helps babies grow you know! Neo-natal where it seems like these amazing nurses feel like your babies mum.

Neo-natal is isolating, there are tears…also of joy.

For those mums wanting their babies, just hold on that little longer. Seeing your baby attached to machines and poked with needles is not fun.

The nurses work hard, they have many babies to look after…..don’t try to increase their work load, enjoy the last few weeks being pregnant.

Many mums would love to have stayed pregnant for an extra few weeks or in some cases months so they would not have had to see their precious small, fragile baby hooked up to machinery and or fighting for life.

Please I urge you do not try to bring on early labour, we ear all to often of women taking castor oil or worse to bring on labour, did you know that castor oil can cause your baby to poo inside you, cause you severe diarrhoea and can make baby very distressed.

Labour should only be brought on early in a hospital for medical reasons.

  • Butlins Minehead You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourselves

Disabled toilet facilities at Butlins Minehead

My son is 14 and has cerebral palsy when making the booking with Butlins I asked was the park accessible and I was told yes definitely, but only one lift to the entertainment room and a lift that can only fit in one wheelchair or pram in, but the changing facilities were shocking. In this toilet only me and my son could just about get in the carer couldn’t fit in too so I had to lift him out myself and lay him on the floor

When challenging staff about their facilities they told me to take him back to the apartment to change him even then my apartment was 10/15 walk away from the main complex and the wheelchair could only fit into the hallway so again I would have to lift him out and lay him down and also with him having changed 9/10 times a day

All the money made by Butlins and these are there changing facilities for disabled people

It’s degrading and wasn’t nice especially when I went in once and the floor was all wet so I had to dry all the floor with paper towels

Change needs to happen and fast

  • Hands Up If You’ve Heard Of Anoxic Seizures

    Reflex anoxic seizures

Hands up if you’ve heard of it before?

No nor had I until my boys. These seizures are explained as child hood seizures, triggered by pain, high emotions and general upset. These are often confused with breath holding syndrome. Breathe holding the child will turn red and sometimes faint due to holding their breath.

With reflex anoxic seizures, the child turns white….deathly white, their lips go blue, eyes will darken. They fall no matter where they are and will pass out. The passing out is triggered by their heart stopping. With these seizures the body will shock the heart into restarting within 49 seconds, but the child (rarely adult!) can be in a state of unconsciousness a little longer and will require sleep to help recover.

My first boy started having these at just 6 months old, continued until the age of 3….after 3 they became few and far between. These can be diagnosed at a hospital and they will follow with an ecg. Please see the link for more detail..

Below is a video of a child having a reflex anoxic seizure, viewers beware it is distressing to watch

    “>[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfxmBSdJNiA&w=560&h=315]

If your child has a blue breath-holding spell or reflex anoxic seizure, you should:

    1. stay calm – it should pass in less than a minute.
    2. lie them on their side – don’t pick them up.
    3. keep an eye on them until the spell ends.

  • Once He Wins Your Heart, Then He Can Play Games

When he treats you like a queen

Says his never loved anyone more than you

    Buys you expensive presents

You end up falling for him too

It’s not until his got your heart

That he starts to play his games

You don’t realise it at the time

Not until it is too late

It’s a slow and gradual process

He makes you doubt things you supposedly said

He tries to stop you going out

And says it’s because he cares

You soon begin to feel lonely

Your friends and family drifting away

You got me, you don’t need them

Is what he might often say

Once his got you on his own

    His behaviour will get worse

You don’t know where the man you met went

    After his first violent outburst

If you go to up and leave

He will cry plead and beg

    He will use emotional blackmail

    And get inside your head

It will never happen again he says

    He promises to change

Things go back to being good

But his made you feel afraid

    His great for a while

Till he doesn’t get what he wants

He puts you down and calls you names

Then makes out it’s your fault

    The violent outbursts start again

    They become a regular thing

If anyone asks if you’re ok

You cover up and lie for him

    This is just an outline

Of what abusive people are like

Just remember it’s not you’re fault

    And that there is light

You are strong and you’re beautiful

You are better off without him

There is help out their to free your self

Speak out and let people in

It may take a while to recover

And even longer to trust again

Surround your self with positive people

That can help you as you mend

You will miss the happier times

And the man you thought he was and could be

It’s ok to shed your tears

    You are allowed to grieve

You can do this believe in yourself

You will come out stronger than ever

And there will come a day where you will never look back

Because you are a true survivor

  • Have You Heard Of Social Stories?-Autism

As an admin for a large parents group you often see autism come up; is my son autistic, my daughter has just got an asd diagnosis and so on. With this comes along worries, so many worries.

As a mum of an autistic child (early diagnosis), we were lucky to get the early intervention such as the early bird course-I’d advise it of all parents with the diagnosis!

At first the diagnosis was scary and we needed to learn communication from both us and him. Just changing our language wasn’t enough.

You’ll hear many people say that those on the spectrum are visual learners and this is so very true.

We set up a board of visual aids of what we are doing for the day, with him removing them after each task. You can take a key ring of them out so your child knows what is coming next. It keeps the understand there, starts to encourage now and next.

How many of you have heard of social stories? These are fantastic as their understanding increases, we made one when my husband went away and it kept anxieties down to a minimum.

These can also be used for younger children, prevents tantrums when they don’t want to do something-they will know the order of things.

Please don’t live in worry-there are so many options out there to help.

  • Can You Help Save A Police Officers Life

My name is Helen Rayner, I am a publican in Hounslow, west London. I have two daughters 30 year old Jade and 25 year old Amber I am also grandmother to Jades 5 year old daughter, Eva. Jade is married to Gareth who is ex military and now a fitness instructor. Jade is a serving officer in the Metropolitan police force. Life was looking good, they were about to buy their forever family home and turn it into their dream place. Then, overnight, their dreams turned into a nightmare.

In February of 2017 Jade was diagnosed with stage 3c triple negative breast cancer which for those of you that don’t know is a rare and aggressive form of cancer which had already spread to her lymph nodes. Well as you can imagine we as a family were all blown away by this news with the exception of Jade whose attitude towards it was ‘OK, I have it lets get on with it’.

Months of aggressive chemotherapy, surgery and a good hammering of radiotherapy followed yet all the way through Jade was amazing and an inspiration to us all. Not at any time did she complain or whinge, not even when her hair started falling out, she just reached for the clippers and took control. Her sense of humour never faltered and, to be perfectly honest, helped the rest of us through. Her whole focus was on beating this disease and getting back to work and continue with her life.

The day Jade was given the news that she had had a complete pathological response to treatment (the all clear) she left the hospital like her backside was on fire. Her mother literally had to run to keep up with her!

In February 2018, as soon as the doctors permitted, Jade returned to the job she loves albeit on recuperative duties slowly building up her hours with a view to return to full duties in September. But, in late May Jade began suffering from a persistent headache, she just couldn’t shift it. By the first week of June she could stand the pain no more and took herself to A&E. Jade insisted on a CT scan, after revealing her recent medical history they finally agreed to do it. Sadly the results of the scan revealed several masses to Jades brain that were suspected to be the breast cancer that had metastised. Further scans, an MRI and PET resulted in the following diagnosis:

Stage 4 Brain Mets a Total of 7 Tumours

Yes you read that right…..7 metastatic brain tumours. Due to the location and number of tumours surgery to remove them is not an option in the UK.

Jade was referred to the Royal Marsden hospital in London where they performed 3 sessions of stereotactic radiosurgery (the cyber knife). They treated all 7 tumours in a bid to shrink them as much as possible. If this treatment is successful it will buy Jade some time but we wont know how the tumours have reacted until September 2018 when she will be scanned again. In the meantime we are trying holistic therapies, diets and anything else that may help. Then there is the relentless search for treatments in other countries.

In the UK Jade has been given 12-24 months to live, yet in the USA, with the right treatment, people are living for many years with their cancer being classed as dead or sleeping.

We have met with a young woman from the UK by the name of Melissa Huggins who 10 years ago was also given 2 years to live by doctors in the UK and, like us, Melissa’s parents refused to accept the prognosis and took her to the USA for treatment. 10 years on, Melissa is now married with a young daughter. She has no idea if her cancer is dead or sleeping…..but shes still here.

We have found a fantastic clinic in the USA, Duke Health, that believe they can treat Jade, they are currently working on a care plan for specifically for her. But this is going to cost, we are not sure as yet of what that will be in terms of money, but there is no price too high to put on such a sad waste of a beautiful life and the devastation and loss that would ensue should we not achieve our goal and GET JADE WELL so she can watch her daughter grow into as wonderful a woman as her mother is.

As a police officer Jade runs towards danger to help others, now she needs others to help her to be here for Eva.

    Please help Jade here https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/justjade

  • Woman Warns Others About Claire’s Accessories

Brenda Campos is trying to spread awareness after her child had a bad ear-piercing experience at Claire’s accessories.

Campos said “Do not get ur kids ears pierced in Claire’s Accessories this is what’s happened to r Poppy’s ears she paid £50 followed what she was supposed to do now she’s got to have an operation 2moro to get them out I’m fuckin fuming😡😡😡😡 she’s not the only one a few people have had bad experiences 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡PLEASE SHARE”.

Claire’s accessories only pierce ears with guns,

Piercing guns use stud earrings of a standard length. People with thick earlobes may find that their new earrings are tight when lobes swell after piercing. They will have little to no post length to use for expansion to relieve the pressure.

A professional body piercer has access to many styles of initial jewellery that won’t inhibit comfort or the healing process.

Piercing Guns Cause Blunt Force Trauma to earlobe
Most guns force blunt-ended studs through the tissue of your ears, a painful process that can cause damage. The shock isn’t typically a huge issue for the lobes, but why risk it? A piercing professional will pierce you with razor-sharp hollow needles that pierce through areas quickly without damaging the surrounding tissue. This process is usually less painful than using a piercing gun.

People who have worked in some retail establishments that use piercing guns often say they began to pierce after just a short amount of time and  training, sometimes only a few hours. With that little training, how can piercers be aware of the sanitary precautions that must be followed to prevent contamination? Or how to instruct for proper aftercare?

Have you had a bad or even great experience with Claire’s accessories? If so let us know what happened in the comments section down below

  • Stop Worrying How Others See You-Inspirational Post

When you aren’t worrying so much about how others see you, you can show them who you really are.

Stop worrying how others see you and start looking at how you see yourself, if you see someone who is ugly that’s what others will see, learn to love yourself, there is no one like YOU and that is amazing, you are unique.

Not everyone will love you, it’s true—but those who do will be loving the real you, not the one you made up for public consumption.

This you is actually much more interesting, anyway! We lose so much when we trade in authenticity for social approval. We lose our spontaneity and zest for life. We lose confidence in our own judgment and taste. We lose ourselves, sometimes forever. And the world loses the contribution that only we can make.

You do not need to look like the women inside of fashion magazines, you don’t need to try to hide your face under a ton of make up, You my dear are beautiful just the way you are.

Be confident, be proud and most of all be brave enough to be the real you, when you larn to be yourself you will not care what others think of you, smile and wave at the bitches that hate, they are just jealous of how happy you are and that you do not care what others think.

  • Mirena IUD Nearly Killed Me-Women Beware

I didn’t know I was pregnant I just so happened took a pregnancy test yesterday due to me cramping and bleeding for the past 4 days and something was just telling me to buy one and make sure well I did and sure enough it came out positive.

I went to the hospital around 7 30ish last night and they did my blood work and then I got called back to a room to do an ultra sound the Dr told me he couldn’t even see the Mirena IUD on the ultra sound period or any kind of sign of pregnancy in the uterus.

I went back to my room and waited for my ultra sounds to come back from the lab my Dr then walked in 30 minutes later saying he was admitting me into the hospital and was planning on having surgery this morning due to having a ectopic/tubal pregnancy, then about 10 minutes later he came back in felt around on my stomach said they were taking me back to do emergency surgery TONIGHT because he said the IUD had punctured my uterus and fallopian tube and if I had waited any longer it would have not only killed my baby but killed me as well.

So all this, loosing my baby and almost losing my OWN life and having a major surgery to save me is all from the Mirena IUD which if you don’t know exactly what it is it’s a little T-Shape birth control that is SUPPOSED to be 99.9% affective to prevent pregnancy has ruined my women parts and has caused my ovaries life damages.

This is a warning to you ladies DO NOT GET THIS BIRTH CONTROL!!! But On the bright side im just blessed the Drs caught this when they did and I also want to thank all the nurses/doctors who were in charge of me for being awesome and patient with me the way y’all were. Thank you and God Bless to you all
