  • I Married A Bully But My Daughter Got A Worse Deal

    I married a bully.

I married a piss poor excuse of a man that started slapping me after the first year. He then went on to constantly give me black eyes, break my nose and even shove a glass in my face. Jade was only a little girl, but she saw some of it, and when she was at the age of 4 or 5 I left him. He started turning the light off and back on again because he knew it scared her. He could do what he liked to me but I would never cry. His only way to really get to me was through Jade. That was enough for me to exit that marriage, so we left. I left my own house and a lot of what was in it just to get away from that scumbag; I was not prepared to put her in danger.

Jade knew what was going on and as she grew she wasn’t going to let anyone treat her the way I had been treated. She’d seen the pain I’d had to go through and the pills the doctor put me on because of the state I was in. Valium, Amitriptyline, Prozac… You name it, I’ve been on it.

At the ripe old age of 26 I was a wreck. Beaten black and blue for years by a piece of shit whose aim in life was to kick fuck out of someone he professed to love. He’d cover me in ‘love’ bites and scrawl big purple welts down my back. HIS marks!

So, Jade steered clear of scum like him. Then she met someone she hadn’t seen for years and started dating him. It lasted about 7 months from start to finish. He wanted her to settle down, have kids etc but that’s not what she wanted. Jade was loving life. She loved her job, had her own house, new car, went on different holidays around the world, loved her family and her friends. Life couldn’t have been better for her.

    Jump forward to today…

6 years ago today, at around this time 5:45pm, Jade sat on my sofa and told me her new ‘man’ was jealous, possessive and that she had finished with ‘him’ but not told him. She said she wanted to ‘break away gently’, so had told him she wanted a little space. I told her he would hit her. I know the signs; been there, done that. She said she didn’t think he would.

I never saw her again because 2 days later she was dead.

Backed into her own kitchen, stabbed 96 times with at least 4 of her own kitchen knives, while he screamed at her ‘that’s what you get for being a slag’. The filthy, murdering bastard thought she was seeing someone else, when all along she wanted a little peace away from his demands. And away from that bitch of a mother of his who supplied the bullets for the murderers imaginary gun.

He made such a mess of Jade that I never got to say goodbye. I wasn’t able to see her because he shredded her; something his mother saw and hope she sees every single night when she closes her eyes and every single morning when she opens them.

I don’t dwell on those scumbags, but they are still breathing, so I hope they both suffer a long, excruciatingly painful death. And I hope Jade haunts them every rotten day they are on this Earth, but she won’t. Because Jade was lovely and wouldn’t dream of doing such a thing.

So, my darling Jade, I will be reading my cards in a moment and hoping you will come to me for a little while. I miss you so bad and regardless of what people say, it doesn’t get any easier.

    Keep on dancing up there

  • Woman Banned From Buses For A Very Weird Reason

WOMAN BANNED FOR LIFE ON BRADFORD BUSES

A woman has received a lifetime ban from a Bradford bus company after repeatedly breaking wind in their vehicles. On one occasion a driver was physically sick.

Bradford Magistrates Court heard how Yolande Pogba, aged 48 from Lumb Lane, Bradford revelled in what she was doing and on most occasions would bend over to create the maximum impact.

On 18th June 2016, Mrs Pogba (pictured) boarded a packed bus at Bradford Interchange and crouched next to an elderly gentleman. As the bus set off, she let off an excruciating sound from her bottom. Mrs Pogba, clearly impressed with her actions then shouted “Some bastard has squashed a Frog”

The bus company recorded 148 separate incidents. On the 22nd June, she boarded a bus in Holmewood and forced her way into the drivers cab, repeatedly breaking wind, cupping her hands and rubbing the atrocious smell into the drivers face until he was sick.

Solicitor Rick Head, representing Mrs Pogba asked for the court to be sympathetic “My client is addicted to Jamaican Rum and kidney beans and unfortunately this brings out the worst in her personality and makes her bottom talk”

The court fined Mrs Pogba £375 and ordered her to pay £20 compensation to the bus driver – Mr Bob Aloo Bhuna. She was also sentenced to 120 hours community service.

  • This Image Has Touched My Soul

This image has really got me this morning 😢💗

A man wanting to jump off a bridge in London, talked round by absolute strangers who proceeded to hold him for an hour until help arrived to get him down safely. Look at that grip. Look at the care, compassion, selflessness & determination shown by complete strangers to a fellow human being.

There is so much more good than bad around us, just sharing a little of it. Wishing the man a full recovery.

  • This Right Here Is A Life Saver

For anyone that doesn’t know what this is. It’s a nit comb. Do us all a favour and put it on your uniform list for the year. No excuses about money or time please. 🤚🙄

This particular one cost less than £10 and I’ve had it 8 years, so definitely worth the money.

I have three girls (aged 6, 7, and 9), I work part time, run my own business on the side, volunteer at my local school whilst studying a degree, and I am out 5 nights a week for sporting events for my children to take part in. And I still manage to check their hair 2-3 times a week. – It takes me 30-45 minutes for the three of them, depending how thorough I want to be.

Mine have had clean hair for months now, and guaranteed one week into school my youngest will come home with some because some parent just hasn’t managed to get round to checking their hair in the six weeks their child has had off school. 🤦‍♀️ We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Use it wisely.

  • Later In Marriage When You Hit Parenthood

Later in marriage when you hit parenthood, you’ll realize what you really wish for in your spouse is not big money or ‘six-pack’. A pretty face and a good bank account are nice to have but at the end of the day, there’s so much more you should be looking for.

At 3am when your child is crying, and your eyes are heavy and your body is weak for postpartum, it will not be how he looks or what he owns that will matter. It’ll be the compassion in his heart and the love for you in his soul that push him out of the bed to attend the child immediately and tell you,

“Go back to sleep, love. I got this.”

If I could tell the younger people what to consider in a companion, I would say marry the man who will be the best father for your children. The man who will put you and your little family first, above all else. The man who is as responsible as you are in raising family because you both are in it together. In short, marry the person who will set a standard for a spouse in your children.

Because in all of these, whenever you watch your partner with your child, you’ll find yourself falling in love all over again.

Choose wisely, not only for you but also for your child.

  • Sometimes Even Kids Need Space

This kid right here hasn’t had the greatest start to the school year. We’re only on week 2, and I’ve already conferenced with the teacher and principal. He’s done a few things wrong, and then had some backlash come his way that no 8 year old boy on the planet deserves. For the past 3 days I’ve sat outside the school at 3:00 biting my nails and straining to see him walk out the door. I wanna see what his face looks like, so I can gauge what the day has done to him. When we got home yesterday I resumed my usual line of questioning…”What happened today?”, “Did anyone say mean things?”, “Did you say mean things?”, “Did anyone play with you today?”, “How are you feeling? Are you okay?”

And at some point yesterday in the middle of bombarding him, I saw this look on his face that said, “I need you to stop.” And so, I did. And then I decided that sometimes our little humans need the same things we need: they need space. And 20 minutes of silence. And their favorite snacks laid out next to a warm bath. I think sometimes these are the things that speak love to our children louder than our voices.

He was calm for the rest of the night. And this morning when I dropped him off I looked him straight in the face and said, “You got this.” And he said, “Yeah….but if I don’t, will you make me another bath tonight?”

    And I said “Always.”

  • A Lesson On How Fu**ed Up Society Is

A lesson on how fu**ed up society is.

Yesterday was the first day back to school for both my girls.

My first thought was “Yes!! Quiet, I can work in peace! 😍”

So I had a bath to regroup (as you do!)

Then as I got out the the bath and was just enjoying some downtime, high school rang.

My eldest, was being put in isolation for the rest of the day because “her skirt is too short. It needs to be close to the knee as it states in the uniform code of conduct”

She’d been in school for one hour.

She’s 5’6 ish, 12 years old and has the waist of a 7 year old.

I went to school to pick her up, because if she’s being put into isolation, she may as well come home, and I asked to speak to someone to find out what was going on and why it was a problem.

When I asked IF the length of her skirt directly affects her education and ability to learn, I was told “Yes.”

When pressed on HOW it directly affects her education and ability to learn, I was told it’s because of the school policy.

Didn’t answer my question, so I explained.

Her education and ability to learn is purely based on what comes out of her teachers mouth, and what plants itself between her ears and the level of understanding she has around that particular lesson or subject. So, again, HOW does the length of her skirt directly affect her receiving an education, and/or her ability to learn??

“School policy dictates that if uniform doesn’t abide by the policies, the students are put into isolation for the day”

So really, it’s the school policy that affects her receiving an education, based on some arbitrary idea of how close to the knee her skirt is. NOT, in fact, the length of her skirt.

This went on for a while with every answer to every question being “school policy” and “code of conduct” blah blah blah

They were clutching at straws and trying to fob me off with the preapproved excuses (“them’s the rules”) that people don’t usually question and/or that they never expect to need to say, let alone push further.

    Then it hit me.

“When you put these policies in place, and adhere to them in the way in which you’re trying to do right now, you’re doing two things.

Firstly, you’re just blindly following the rules cos they’re the rules so that’s what it is. EVEN THOUGH you can’t back it up or have any valid justification for having the rules.

Secondly, and this is a big one; you’re discriminating against girls wearing skirts. We’ve already established girls wearing trousers and boys don’t have anything like this to deal with. So you’re discriminating SPECIFICALLY against girls who wear skirts.

You’re also judging these children by what they’re wearing, and in some cases punishing certain children based on how their clothes fit, just like this, which is impeding a child’s ability to receive an education – the whole reason they come to school. (It’s the law, they’re expected to receive an education)

Furthermore, you’re SUBCONSCIOUSLY teaching over a thousand adolescents EVERY YEAR that it’s not just acceptable, but EXPECTED, it’s NORMAL, NATURAL, to judge someone by what they’re wearing or how their clothes fit. You’re also teaching them, subconsciously, that it’s perfectly acceptable to PUNISH someone based on what they’re wearing without any rhyme or reason.

This is where kids learn to judge. This is when some kids start to get singled out, that’s when bullying starts and becomes acceptable. This is how you’re teaching these adolescent minds, and “preparing them for the future” where they will carry these lessons deep within them.

Girls are already body conscious, girls who wear skirts will be even more conscious of what they’re wearing, because everyone else believes it’s OK to judge them by their appearance. This moves further into the societal psyche, where people (not just girls wearing skirts) start to get ostracised, marginalised, attacked. It’s also the belief system that it’s not only OK to judge girls, but also punish them based on what they’re wearing that fundamentally underpins RAPE CULTURE and why when a woman gets raped people ask “what was she wearing? How short was her skirt?” because CHILDREN in schools, just like this one, with rules just like this one are being taught that that’s OK. It’s normal. It’s acceptable. It’s expected for people to think and behave that way.

    That’s how it is.

    That’s how it’s always been.

And then, to pile this pressure onto a child who’s spent YEARS being bullied for the way she looks; she’s too tall, too slim, too muscular, too strong, too blonde, wears glasses and the rest – you’re adding onto this that her waistband is too low, her shirt too fitted, her skirt hem too high… her legs too long? What’s next? Her breasts? Is that really acceptable for a system, an establishment, an institution that’s meant to be preparing our children to move out and live in the real world? In modern day society?”

The member of staff I was speaking to looked at me dumbfounded, so I posed another question… “the dress you’re wearing; is that considered an acceptable length?” It was to her knees. She said yes.

I stood up. I’m 5’10, a good 4-6 inches taller than she was.

I asked if I were to wear her dress would it still be an acceptable length? She didn’t answer. Her face had all the shame and guilt and the “fuck, she’s got me” of the “no” written all over it.

Then I pointed out 3 members of staff all wearing shorter skirts than my daughter. Where’s their code of conduct?

How come what they’re wearing isn’t considered inappropriate?

Should they be setting an example?

Today I realised just how deeply engrained this all is.

How a lot of the things that people are shouting about, wanting to make/see HUGE changes on are deeply embedded into our school systems.

How unless you tick a certain box a certain way, or look a certain way, fit a certain way. behave a certain way, this is just normal.

All for the sake of subjects and lessons that are graded on papers. But the real lessons; the HOW TO BE A GOOD HUMAN BEING AND NOT A TOTAL ASSHOLE lessons aren’t even considered. They’re barely even an afterthought. “Because they’re the rules”

This isn’t just about my daughter, or her school. It’s a much larger issue. We see articles about girls being sent home from school because of their clothes all the time.

    And this isn’t a child’s issue, it’s not even a parents issue.

Parents can only buy what’s available for purchase.

If there’s really a problem with the clothing, it’s time to take it up with the manufacturers. Not me.

And more importantly if these girls feel comfortable wearing these clothes, and they don’t pose any real threat or harm, what’s the problem?

It’s not the girls clothes that need to be changed. It’s the antiquated belief systems and “that’s how it is because that’s how it’s always been. It’s normal”

But here’s the thing; Times change. Thoughts change. Should policy’s not change too?

Should they not grow alongside humanity? Become more accepting? More inclusive?

Through this, I’ve learned a lot about myself and what’s been screwing me up for the past 33.5 years.

I know a lot of what it is screwing my kid up too.

She doesn’t just have schoolwork to struggle with; she has to make sure her works in order, and she doesn’t put her hand up too much in class, or ask too many questions so as to not be “disruptive”.

She’s always got to be aware of her clothes and if they’re in accordance to bullshit policies that leave her open to scrutiny and punishment.

She has bullies to deal with, peer pressure, and trying to make sure she sticks within the vague lines of codes of conduct that have no valid reasoning or solid basis.

It’s rules for the sake of rules. And “because they’re the rules” as the reason.

    Bleurgh! I hate it.

    It makes me feel sick.

It makes my daughter cry every fucking week.

    It makes me angry.

And it makes my beautiful daughter apologise for her own existence on average every 32.6 seconds (seriously, sometimes all I hear her say is “sorry”)

Yesterday didn’t go the way I planned.

    It turned into a nightmare.

It took me 11 hours to calm down.

    I wasn’t calm at school.

I was the Raging Bitch Mum who wanted to tear someone’s head off because my kid was only allowed to school for ONE fucking hour, all because of a skirt.

But it’s not really because of a skirt.

    Or it’s not now…

This is so much more than being about “just a skirt”

  • Top Tips For Any Dads After Your Child Is Born

    Breastfeeding

Last Month was Breastfeeding Awareness Month. So I figured id drop some knowledge on my fellow Dads and soon to be Dads. Here’s what it looks like for the first few weeks or months after your child is born. Yup if mom breastfeeds they pretty much are tucked like this and at times you’ll wonder “what is there for me to do?” Here’s my top 5 tips for any Dad after your child is born.

    1. For night feedings. When mom wakes up in the middle of the night. You get up and ask if she needs any help or water. The truth is most of the time she will say no but just the fact that you offered will go far.

    2. Ask mom if she can pump and then pick 1 feeding that you will always do. Mom will take on almost everything and will burn herself out if you let her. At times you may have to force her to rest without worrying about the baby. This is an easy way to do that without a fight.

    3. Don’t put a time limit on how long mom breastfeed the baby. It’s not just about feeding your child it’s about them bonding as well. I know everyone has a diffrent length of time they will breastfeed and as a Dad it’s hard to fully understand. Do not I repeat DO NOT try and rush this process it’s not our place and it’s not safe. You will open yourself up to a fight you can’t win.

    4. Be patient. I know as a Dad the first few weeks we are equally excited and yet not as important yet. Your time will come faster than you know. Babies grow fast and the stronger bigger they get the more Daddy Time will be coming your way.

    5. Paternity leave! If you have it TAKE IT. The early stages of a childs life are not just for moms to enjoy. I know as men making the money especially after having a baby but trust me. You can always make money but there are no instant replays in life. It doesn’t make you more of a man to not take the leave. It’s equally as important that you as a Dad get to be a part of the early development of your child.

  • This Image Shows The Bond Between Mother And Child

This is the world’s first ever magnetic resonance image showing a mother and child’s bond.

The image is of neuroscientist Rebecca Saxe kissing her two month old son.

The child’s brain appears to be smoother and darker. This is because it has significantly less white matter. White matter is comprised of myelin, which is fatty tissue that acts as insulation for the wires that communicate messages inside your brain.

Kissing causes a chemical reaction in your brain, including a burst of the hormone oxytocin. Oxytocin is often referred to as the ‘love hormone’ because it stirs up feelings of affection and attachment.

Kissing activates the brain’s reward system; releasing dopamine which makes us feel good. It also releases vasopressin which bonds mothers with babies and romantic partners to each other. It also releases serotonin which helps to regulate our mood.

  • Do I Give Up My Son Or My Boyfriend?

A post on https://www.facebook.com/SingleMumsDen/ has caused uproar see below for why

We have been dating for almost two years and he has now proposed to marry me. We have so much fun together, he’s kind, honest and our connection is magical

But he says he doesn’t want my 5 year old son to live with us when we get married.

He also doesn’t want me to receive child and financial support for the child from the father in the meantime.

He says the boy should go to his father.

When he met me, I had broken my relationship with the father of my son because he was unfaithful and made other women pregnant.

I’ve brought up my son alone and the boy literally has no relationship with his father. But the father occasionally sends money or clothes to support the boy but he won’t take the child.

I love my son and I wish to continue to bring him up as my own. I also don’t have my own mother who I probably could have taken the child to, so my Mother having him isn’t an option.

But he says that the boy makes him uncomfortable as he looks like his father(the father to the boy is well known in our town).

Please advise me. Do I give up this child to one of my aunties who live some distance away or break up the relationship
