  • Here’s Why Facebook Annoys Me

    Facebook piss offs:

    1) Men pouting in photos, girls look ridiculous enough, but lads….fucking stop it.

    2) Girls with Ming from Flash Gordon eyebrows. Eyebrows are meant to deflect water from your eyes, they are NOT supposed to have corners….

    3) People who write billy big bollocks statuses like….”to the man in the shop who just stood on my toe, it’s a good job u had ur kids with u or I’d have knocked u out!” Or “to the woman in the green corsa who cut me up earlier then smiled at me at the lights, it’s a good job the lights changed cos I was gonna get out and kick u square in the minge!”…. Firstly they won’t see that status because you don’t know them, secondly, why are you making out like you’d show any aggression towards them? You clearly said absolutely nothing to them, then ran home to write a status about what you would have done if you had some bollocks….

    4) 30+ year old men describing good things as “sick”… Grow up…

    5) Young people using Americanisms, like.. “We got a cab home and made out..” No mate, you fingered her in a taxi….

    6) “New hair” posts…it’s not fucking new hair, it’s your same old hair just shorter and laced with chemicals to make it the same colour as whichever pretty celeb you’re trying to copy… And by the way, she looks nice with red hair…you look like a tool.

    7) Overnight nutritionists…I’m glad you recently discovered health and fitness 4 months ago, but knowing that chicken and rice is good clean food, doesn’t mean you should post pics of your 8 prepped meals online every morning and preach how we should all be eating just that. Some of us like pizza thanks! Fuck off!!

😎 People who post updates like “what time does the co-op open?” You clearly have internet access… Google it you fucking cabbage!!!

    9) THIS!!!! Status: “completely devastated”

    What’s up babe?

    U ok Hun?

    What’s happened?

    “I’ve inboxed you….”

    You nob….that’s all.

    10) Pics of girls legs in the bath, just short of their tuppence…just pack it in, you attention seeking whore. The post isn’t about… “peace at last”… It’s about, “I’m naked and gagging for cock, inbox me”.

  • I Sucked Ass At Being A Mum Today

I sucked ass at being a mom today. Some days, I feel like I’m not doing a good job at this mom thing. Because it’s so fucking hard. I know, I know, it’s always worth it, and I love my kids. But man, when did it get so hard?

Today I yelled too much at them, they watched too much tv, I fed them pasta, which they glazed over, picking out most of the nutrients.

I yelled at them to stop yelling (funny huh?), I told my son to stop calling his sister “poopy head” at least thirty times today. Something I never thought I would be doing. ⁣

As I write this caption, I am sitting on my bedroom floor. Hiding. Trying to get a moment of silence. It’s so hard some days. And I know I’m not alone.

There’s no “silver lining” to this post.

Being a mom is fucking hard.

    That’s all.

Everyday, I tell myself “tomorrow! Tomorrow will be the day I don’t yell. Tomorrow will be the day I talk calmly all day to them. Tomorrow will be the day they won’t fight with each other. Tomorrow. Tomorrow will be better. Easier.” ⁣

And whenever I lay them down to bed at night, I look at those beautiful souls I created and think “how could I ever be so mad at them?” It’s a routine I have had for the past few years now.

Being a mom is fucking hard. And I suck at it a lot of the time. But that’s okay, because I’m trying my best to raise good, kind, decent, loving human beings, in a world so cold. ⁣

There’s no way that’s going to be easy.

Keep going mama, we got this. Even if we fucking suck some times.

  • Can You See That Bulge It’s Amazing

“Can you see that bulge on her lower back? That is the rhombus of Michaelis.

During the second stage of labour, a combination of bones including your sacrum actually move backwards and in doing so, increases the diameter of your pelvis.

This is what is known as opening of the back.

This is completely normal and is in fact an integral part of a physiological birth as it allows your baby the maximum amount of space to turn as they navigate their way out into the world.

In order to facilitate the opening of your back, you should use active birth positions where you are upright and leaning forwards.

    So cool right!

And while your pelvis is expanding, your baby’s head is moulding – changing shape to fit through those pelvic bones!

Your body was made to do this! And your body and your baby work together!

Birth is not something to be feared…it is something to be understood!

  • My Baby Died Tonight And I’m Still In Shock

My baby died tonight. Hank died. And I’m still in shock so I’m writing it now. He died.

He choked on a muffin. An ordinary muffin. My child who inhaled bananas and oranges and all the scary foods with ease choked on a single bite of banana muffin. 911 was called right away. And the hymlich was performed. And he never lost consciousness with us so when we got to the hospital we thought it was going to be okay. But it was not.

They worked on him for almost 3 hours I think. I’m still really confused why they couldn’t just pluck the single bite of muffin from his throat but they couldn’t. And his heart gave out. And they performed compressions for nearly an hour before they called us back in to tell us we could hold his hand while they performed compressions for 2 more minutes. I sang to him during that time. Cried to him. Yelled at him that his story was not over. That he wasn’t ever supposed to happen so it didn’t make sense this would be the end of his story. He was supposed to go on and have an incredible story. His brother, who named him needed him to come home and continue to be his sidekick. That’s why we named him Hank Watson. I told him to come back. He didn’t come back.

I’m still in shock. I think I’d like to never come out of it. Our people are here. Taking care of us. I don’t know what tomorrow will look like or where this journey will go. I just feel like I want to tell everyone. Because maybe they could just mourn for me and I won’t have to feel it. Maybe this is a nightmare I’ll wake up from tomorrow.

I know that we live in a broken world and broken things happen. And the Lord loves me. And He loves Hank. And I don’t want anyone to tell me there’s a reason for this because sometimes bad things are just bad things that coexhist with good things. And that’s okay. And I’m mad and I’m sad and I’m very very confused.

  • Teach Your Daughter These Things

    RULES TO TEACH YOUR DAUGHTER.

    1. Make your bed every day, even if it’s right before you get in it.

    2. Don’t wear holey underwear…in case you’re in an accident and they cut your clothes off.

    3. Travel light through life. Keep only what you need.

    4. It’s okay to cry when you’re hurt. It’s also okay to smash (some) things; but, wash your face, clean your mess, and get up off the floor when you’re done. You don’t belong down there.

    5. If you’re going to curse, be clever. If you’re going to curse in public, know your audience.

    6. Seek out the people and places that resonate with your soul.

    7. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

    8. 5-second rule. It’s just dirt. There are worse things in a fast food cheeseburger.

    9. Happiness is not a permanent state. Wholeness is. Don’t confuse these.

    10. If you’re staying more than one night, unpack your bag.

    11. Never walk through an alley alone.

    12. Be less sugar, more spice, and only as nice as you’re able to without compromising yourself.

    13. Can’t is a cop-out.

    14. Hold your heroes to a high standard. Be your own hero.

    15. If you can’t smile with your eyes, don’t smile. Insincerity is nothing to aspire to.

    16. Never lie to yourself.

    17. Your body, your rules.

    18. If you have an opinion, you better know why.

    19. Practice your passions.

    20. Ask for what you want. The worst thing they can say is no.

    21. Wish on stars and dandelions, then get to work to make them happen.

    22. Stay as sweet as you are.

    23. Fall in love often. Particularly with ideas, art, music, literature, food and far-off places.

    24. Fall hard and forever in love with nothing but yourself.

    25. Say Please, Thank You, and Pardon Me, whenever the situation warrants it.

    26. Reserve “I’m sorry” for when you truly are.

    27. Naps are for grown-ups, too.

    28. Question everything, except your own intuition.

    29. You have enough. You are enough.

    30. You are amazing! Don’t let anyone ever make you feel you are not. If someone does….walk away. You deserve better.

    31. No matter where you are, you can always come home.

    32. Be happy and remember your roots, family is EVERYTHING.

    33. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

    34. No one will ever love you more than I do.

    35. Be kind; treat others how you would like them to treat you.

    36. If in doubt, remember whose daughter you are and straighten your crown.

  • This Cheap Little Bag Stole My Sons Life

    MDMA

Cheaper than alcohol and far too easy to get hold of. It’s on every street and I’ve only just found out that most kids are taking it. They don’t even bother trying to get alcohol now, if they do it’s a ‘bonus’

Well this lovely little bag of white that cost around a tenner nearly cost my son his life. My son who turned 14 at the beginning of the month, who I’d never have even thought would even consider being so stupid. My son who went out with ‘friends’ – friends of which left him to die on a cold wet pavement all alone when it started to get serious.

I received a phone call from a stranger who had used his phone to call me, a lovely lady called Jane who had been driving past and saw my baby boy convulsing so severely he’s lucky he didn’t crack his skull. It took several grown adults to pin him down to prevent injury whilst keeping his airways clear and fetching blankets and duvets until I could get there.

I watched him as he turned blue in the back of the ambulance, I watched as he was put to sleep in intensive care to prevent any further damage, I watched as machines had to do his breathing for him. I watched the look of desperation on my mums face, pleading with the doctors to tell her her grandson would live. ….

….. he did, he’s alive, there’s no lasting injuries just the memory of that night. Thank God!

But as for his friends….. there are no words, well there are but il refrain. How dare anyone, let alone a friend leave someone, so young, so vulnerable, so close to death-so alone? I bet you all went back to your own warm beds and planned your next night out on ‘magic’

  • I Will Not Be Working To Get My Body Back

“No, no, you have it wrong, I will not be working to get my body back.

    She was never lost.

She was here, giving every moment and detail to this sweet baby.

She was pushed and exhausted, stretched and stripped to make space for a new life.

    Please stand back and aside.

For her sacrifice she will not be scrutinized.

She will be loved, and thanked and bowed down to.

She will be allowed her time to heal and be settled into.

This body’s work will not be forgotten, hidden or erased.

And if you feel it should, you understand nothing about the gift she has given.

No, no Body don’t listen. Because I see you. I thank you deeply. You did so good.”

  • Why Did My Body Fail Me

    #SeptemberisNICUawarenessmonth

To the new mom sitting in the NICU holding back her tears:

You did everything you could to have a healthy pregnancy but yet here you are…sitting across an isolette watching your baby breathe while all the monitors are going on and off behind you. You’re wondering what you did wrong and why your body failed you. You’re blaming yourself while trying to memorize and learn all the new medical terms that keep getting thrown at you.

Now you’re struggling to keep a good breastmilk supply because you’re body wasn’t ready to give birth yet-because you can’t breastfeed your baby yet-because you can’t do skin to skin as often-because the stress is affecting you so you gotta pump A LOT and chug down water around the clock. And trust me, you’re not gonna want to give up because this is the only thing you can provide for your baby that will help her thrive. Also, even though you don’t have your baby with you at night, you’re still not gonna be able to sleep. You will wake up wondering how she’s doing and you will call the NICU. Or if you’re anything like me, you will drive yourself to the hospital in the middle of the night.

You’re going to watch your baby fight for survival and you’re going to wish you could take all the pain away from her. You will also watch her reach milestones and they will fill you with pride and FAITH. You’re going to cry. You’re going to laugh. You’re going to get frustrated. You will also feel your heart sink every time you get a call from the NICU and you’re gonna deal with people telling you things like “you’re lucky you didn’t go through the third trimester,” and it’s gonna infuriate you. But don’t get mad at them, they don’t know the struggle of your heart. But I do, I know what it’s like to push through the physical and emotional pain. I know what it’s like to watch a little piece of your heart sleep inside a clear plastic box. But I can tell you one thing; you’re doing amazing. You’re a fighter just like your baby and you will persevere. I promise you that one day you will look back and realize how LUCKY you are for being the chosen one. God chose you to witness a miracle and He only did it because He knows how strong you are. Hang in there mamma, when you look into your baby’s eyes while heading home for the first time you’ll realize it was all worth it

  • Against His Wishes, I Am A Survivor And He Can’t Take That From Me

    HAILEY:

Sometimes I cant get the sounds out of my head… of me crying begging for my life, his fist slamming into my face and crushing my bones or the haunting calmness that ran through his voice. Each time his fist pounded my face I felt a part of my soul leaving my body. I can remember the feeling of blood running down from my face and onto my neck and into my hair. My eyes were swollen shut and I had towel over my head to keep hidden. I wanted to give up, I was just to tired.

    I was dying.

A trip to Colorado that had been in the works for months was where it all started. Roman and I had been dating for 6 months and a few weeks beforehand we had found out we were expecting. My entire family and friends loved him. He was perfect, charming, and such an “old school” type of guy every girl dreams of. I could not wait to share it with my friends and for them to meet Roman. We stayed at our 1st stop with a few of my friends in Denver and then headed towards Fort Collins the next day. Roman and I had fought the entire ride there and he had mentioned to me at one point that he “wanted [me] to see the worst and see if [I] can handle it.” Now looking back I feel like I should have let that soak in before rolling my eyes and shrugging it off but we don’t always see our own red flags when we are manipulated and deceived…

The 2nd night at Fort Collins, I still can’t seem to fully understand how the love of my life and father of my unborn child was hiding such a crooked soul…. I walked upstairs in my panties to get my dog Scooby, everyone was already sleep but Roman and I so I did not think it was a big deal, but it was a trigger for him apparently. *Edit** (We were down in the basement on the opppsite side of the house from the people sleeping. FBI did hearing tests and confirmes nothing could have been heard.)

He became angry, yelling, cussing, and I told him that when he was ready he could talk to me like a normal human being. About 5 seconds later he was standing over me, pouring beer down onto my face, grabbed me by throat and threw me down onto the floor/up against the wall and choked me out.

I woke up to Roman on top of me. I couldn’t collect my thoughts quick enough to realize what had just happened. I remember just looking up at him, at the tranquility that seemed to take over his body and in his face. He was just staring at me, observing his work. He was, I believe, doing it out of admiration.

The beating and torture lasted for about 6 hours or more. It was hard to tell… it felt like a lifetime. I was out of conscious from him choking me out, wailing on my face with his fist, shoes, and at one point my own phone. It was a repetitive never ending sequence of being strangled, beaten, raped, and at one point he told me he wanted to die by his hand and that he wanted to cut my teeth out with his dull pocket knife.

When he raped me both times, he let me know he wanted to have sex. He wanted to have sex with me while I was in and out of conscious, black and blue, eyes swollen shut and at that point drenched in blood. He enjoyed himself and he didnt even have the decency to turn me around. No. Instead he faced me and was looking down at me. Its so strange to think that during all of this he told me he was going to propose to me during our vacation. Why? How? How could we go from that to this?

At some point… I lost control over my body. My legs were shaking violently and I couldnt stop them. It seemed to anger him and I was too weak to care anymore. There is no way to truly describe what I was feeling after all of this started. I have never felt so lifeless and out of control. I have never lost complete hope but I did that night.

He told me that he wanted to make sure that no one knew who I was or no one could love me. He stressed to me that he wanted to cut out my intestines and pull them out because it was the worst type of death he has ever seen.

It ended after several hours of me passing in and out.

I remember feeling each blow to my face, his hands around my neck, pushing inside of me while he enjoyed himself.. the sounds of him moaning…its too hard to forget.

I couldnt move by the end of it. I couldnt lift my head nor move my legs. He wanted me to get up and pack my things and help him clean all of my blood from the walls, floor, bed, and the ceiling. I of course was unable to so he tried to himself. He missed a bunch of blood and the mattress was soaked so he was forced to throw a sheet over it to try to hide it. He threw a towel over my head and carried me to the car and took me a few hours away into New Mexico. Crossing state lines becoming an FBI issue.

Once we were at a motel I was in and out of conscious for a while. I just kept beginning for him to call an ambulance. He finally did and then slit his throat. I couldn’t see him doing it but I could hear his dull knife cutting into his skin and the blood squirting out and hitting the wall and floor. I was terrified that he might have lied about making the call and that I would die in this motel room with him, I think it would have been worse than anything to have my life slip away in his hands next to him.

I cannot thank the EMT’s enough that rushed in to save me. The moment I heard their voices everything else, the pain, my fear, Roman…. just faded away. They were my heros. I felt myself let go. If i was going to die, I could do it in peace knowing I was no longer in Romans hands.

Roman was brought in under custody to have emergency surgery and survived. After 2 days they took him in. Trial has been officially set and I am not sure what will happen to worthless human being. But I do, in certain moments, have to stop myself from feeling bad for him and his family. I have to remember that this was not the first time (I found out afterwards) that he had done this to a girlfriend. His family didnt try to warn me.

The only thing I could do is ask for my dad during my care flight and transfer to the trauma unit. When I finally heard him on the phone…. when I heard him tell me “I am on my way to you”… It was the most precious and meaningful words I have ever felt, a mixture of excitement and an overabundance of the desire to have his comfort overcame me. I knew I could hold on because of him. He really his my rock. Dad. I love you.

He spent fathers day with me there and it was the first day I could open my eyes and see him.

My family was there and my friends came to see me. Everyone was so supportive and caring. The nurses and doctors I met, I owe so much too. Nurse Brandi and Nurse Julia, I love yall.

My hair was so matted in dried up blood, the nurses tried their best to clean it and brush it out but was not successful. We were able to get a hair stylist to the hospital and into the trauma unit and she took care of me. She stayed for hours doing her best to make sure to leave as much hair has possible. My long hair was now so short it barley fit into a pony tail. It was just one more thing Roman was able to destroy.

My kidney levels were very low, I had to get blood transfusions, poked and prodded every day. I was going to go home to get surgery on my detached retina but ended up developing pneumonia (I had my surgery but still blind in my left eye). I had several bone fractures in my face, busted ear drums, and much more. On my 3rd day is when I had my miscarriage. My beautiful baby boy, Liam Moore. (I just received his ashes last week so now he is finally home❤).

Things have been different. I live a new life. Moved from my home, healing is still in the works and I am thriving. I used to think Roman won. I used to believe that because of all of these struggles that I dealt with and continue to deal with while he gets to be protected in a jail cell meant he was still control. He made me want to hate myself for a while and I knew it’s what he wanted.

I am way to stubborn for that. He should know better than that. Im sassy enough to out weigh this negativity. I am way to strong to allow such a weak little coward destroy me. He is nothing. I am everything. The smile I showcase, my family that embraces me and the friends that surround me. The life, MY LIFE, that I will continue to be thankful for everyday is no longer in his control. He did not win.

Against his wishes, I am a survivor and he can’t take that from me.

  • Slow And Steady Wins The Race

Contrary to belief, the slow delivery of the baby’s head over an intact perineum 𝘿𝙊𝙀𝙎 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙄𝙈𝙋𝘼𝘾𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙒𝙀𝙇𝙇 𝘽𝙀𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝘼𝘽𝙔!

In fact, a baby who’s head was born slowly over an intact perineum has higher apgar scores upon birth.

The rationale of speeding the baby’s head through the birth canal is not a valid one.

A faster birth of the head does not equal a healthier baby.

Slow, mother-led pushing, and allowing the fetal head to sit in the perineum with slow stretching decreases perineal trauma as well as gives the baby adequate time to benefit from chest compression in the vagina canal to remove amniotic fluid from lungs.

Routine episiotomies are most certainly not healthier for mother or baby and is not recommended unless medically indicated.
