  • It’s The Government That Caused This Not The People Fleeing Bombs

    Lauren Robson took to social media and caused a stir many people agreeing with her and saluting her words and others threatening and attacking her, some of which used racial and religious slurs.

    Robson wrote “When your grannies and your kids are dying in NHS hospitals because there isn’t any  staff – please remember it’s the government that caused this – not the people fleeing our governments bombs.

    When your kids are going to school starving because you’re a 2 kid family and you’re having to eat from food banks – please remember it’s the government that caused this – not the people fleeing our governments bombs.

    When you see homeless veterans on the streets with nowhere warm to stay for the night – please remember it’s the government that caused this – not the people fleeing our governments bombs.

    When you’re at your wits end and you see no light at the end of the tunnel and the primary mental health care team can’t give you an appt for 3 months – please remember it’s the government that caused this – not the people fleeing our governments bombs.

    When you’re lied to every day by the government and the media and you’re told there is no money to take in refugees, there is no money for our homeless, there is no money for doctors, or nurses, or teachers, or road works, or anything that the country actually needs – please remember that our government just spent £6.5 MILLION on trying to kill people and they are fucking lying to you.

  • Stop Assuming Factor 50 Suncream Is Good Enough

    Carly King A nanny from Northampton is desperate to raise awareness regarding sun creams!!

    ☀ It’s that time of year again!!! My lovely suncream post! ☀

    Please can we all like and share to spread awareness!

    After last years post I’ve had a few people ask me which cream is best to use so I feel it’s a good time to share this now as it’s hot!!!!

    So last year I noticed how many children are tanning and burning whilst using suncream and I saw so many people say ‘I used factor 50+ and my child is pink/ red after being in the sun’

    So I created the post below… 👇🏼

    Earlier today one of my friends came to me saying she had a children’s suncream for her daughter that factor 50+ and she had got sunburn at nursery despite the nursery applying it correctly!

    ~~~When buying sun cream PLEASE make sure you check the UVA star guide! Ambre Solaire being one of the well-known brands deemed very high protection… 3*** and £7 a bottle, but Asda own brand at £3 is 5*****.~~~
    It isn’t all to do with the factor, there is another rating that you need to consider when buying cream, and if that is low, ultraviolet light can get through and damage the skin.
    ***UVA (Ultra Violet A) protection is key to keeping out the harmful radiation. (The stars you see on the bottle)
    SPF (sun protection factors) is the measurement of protection against UVB (Ultra Violet 😎 and is rated on a scale of two to 50+.***
    The British Association of dermatologists said: “That’s why it’s important to choose a high SPF as well as a high UVA protection (e.g. a high number of stars).
    “Sunscreens that offer both UVA and UVB protection are sometimes called ‘broad spectrum’.
    “A sunscreen with an SPF of 30 and a UVA rating of 4 or 5 stars is generally considered as a good standard of sun protection in addition to shade and clothing.”
    This statement came after the Manchester evening news published my post!
    We buy into trusted “quality” brands but reality shows it’s not always in the name! I have been in childcare for 13 years now and I’m very cautious about suncream use and Children burning/ tanning even whilst using spf 50+. This SHOULD NOT be happening!!
    My main point for this post is. People assume factor 50 “very high protection” is enough, when in reality these high protection creams should be higher in uva/uvb protection. 3* isn’t sufficient enough!
    The British association of dermatologists say “Nowadays there is a vast range of different product types available, including lotions, mousses, sprays and gels. Because of this variation, it is not possible to give a set amount that you should apply that is the same for all products.”
  • Dad Pleads For Help After Son Dumped On His Doorstep
    I split from my ex 2 years ago. She moved away and we decided that our kids would live with her and I see them weekends.
    A year ago our youngest was diagnosed as Autistic. Around that same time, my ex had met someone else. She decided that she didn’t want to look after our youngest anymore as he was too demanding due to his condition and literally dumped him on my doorstep ( she didn’t even discuss it with me, just turned up with his stuff) and said that she needs to get on with her life and cannot look after our son anymore.
    My son was very traumatized, he has school refusal and no attempt was made by her to find specialist support for him…
    9 months on, my son is still living with me and he is settled, he sees a psychologist to help him, however his mother has not seen him properly since (not even on his birthday) nor pays any maintenance for his upbringing. Her excuse is that he refuses to see her (he is still in junior school ) she also working 4 days and claiming benefits but says she has no money ( even though on Facebook she posts pictures of her in swanky London hotels etc)
    I am over the moon that my son now lives with me and I will give him all the support I can
    Sometimes he will cry at night and asks for his Mum, I keep on reassuring him that she still loves him. He is so confused and cannot understand why she ignores him yet his sisters are being brought up by her..I have tried to ask her to spend time with him but she refuses, she keeps on saying that she is too busy……..it breaks my heart that she has literally turned her back on him because he was an inconvenience in her life.
    ……..Any advice on what you would do in my situation? I’m prety desperate for help and advice, I feel broken for my lad😞
  • Veet Hair Removal Cream And Frozen Peas
    If anyone wants a laugh then let me explain to you about tonight’s little escapade with the fucking VEET hair removal cream and why I’m now laying in bed with a bag of frozen peas on my vagina.
    Me and my friend were in tescos this evening looking at the personal care products and we were like you know what, I want a porn star arse hole and I’m broke so let’s rock n roll. VEET HAIR REMOVAL CREAM THAT BRIGHTENS THE SKIN. Got that for a few quid and also a small tub of bleach to brighten the butt hole 🙃 if you’ve read any of the online reviews you’ll know, don’t be a twat.
    Got back to my house had dinner had a few glasses of wine and my other half had gone to bed, so we’re left to VEET and bleach our arse holes like the actual fucking delinquents we are ready to twat it up. Chucked a face mask on and we were ready to go.
    Both of us have one leg cocked up on a chair while we slather the hair removal cream on our vaginas, bikini line and bums. Felt a wee burn but nothing we couldn’t handle. I’ve had a kid for Christ sake, it wasn’t that deep. We then took it in turns after a few mins to get it off each other and look on in amazement at our hairless little bums. Both of us thinking to ourselves that it will be flawless sex now and we’re sleek dolphins. It was good, uncomfortable, but good.
    Didn’t even let the dust settle and our arses were still pretty red raw from the VEET and my friends stirred up this poxy bleach pot and was like right, bend over let’s do this. I’ve started doing hers and this was when the real adventure began.
    My friends leapt from the carpet and let me know she’s going to be sick and can’t do it. Obviously, I was pissing myself and I was like nah shut up come on let’s do it, unaware of the pain to follow. She’s actually rolling around on the floor now sweating because the pains so hideous, but the pain has passed so she can cope. And then she says right your go bend over.
    I’ve bent over and assumed the position, my shiny new flower exposed to the elements and ready to go.
    If you’ve ever veeted your bum and then decided to bleach it after then you know the pain to follow is like straight up hydrochloric acid being swilled onto your arse hole. It’s fucking horrific.
    I’ve screamed and lunged forward and understood exactly how she felt because now I felt the same. I felt winded and I couldn’t breathe and I felt like I was about to bring up my dinner because the pain was so intense. She’s told me to breathe and get through it and the pain will go. So I’m breathing and breathing for what feels like an hour but was actually about 1/2 a second and I say no I can’t do this and throw myself into the toilet, where I sit and wonder if I’m going to end up with 3rd degree burns or need a fucking skin graft or something.
    I’ve wiped the cream off thinking it’s cool it’ll stop except it felt like I was possessed by the devil every time I touched it so I throw myself into the bath with a dress on just to sit in it and spread my cheeks to get this bleach off.
    My friend in the mean time is about to pass out through the pain because it comes in waves. You think it’s going to get better but it doesn’t and the pain just comes straight back and it feels like shit when it does.
    Got the bleach off and it didn’t feel too bad, felt alright. Took some pictures of our new shiny arses after the initial burning shock to send to our boyfriends, happy days, mine loves my new arse. It’s a good end to a not so good evening.
    Fast forward to now, I am laying in bed and wake up because I need a wee 🙃 I struggle to get up because it feels like fucking Chernobyl in my fanny. Like a nuclear meltdown because the heat and pain is RADIATING off me.
    I go for my wee and the sting is instant. I started shouting out in pain and I grabbed the jug on the side of the bath to pour cold water on my vagina while I’m sat down. The cold water shocked me and took the heat away for a second before it came back. I wipe and there is BLOOD on the tissue. Not like red blood, but orange blood where my flaps have been WEEPING from the hair removal and bleach.
    I stood up, dried off by patting down using a towel and then went to get a drink because the pain was so extreme I once again felt like I was going to hurl. I’ve gone in my room and my boyfriends like wtf is wrong with you what’s happened !? While I sob uncontrollably, my vagina was on fire and I had a sense of impending doom that this would be it forever now. He’s got straight up and run an ice cold bath and told me to sit in it.
    After finding the courage to lay down and spread my legs to get some air to them I had to stand back up to get in the bath. My other half is holding my hand the whole time because he can see the pain in my face. This isn’t an over dramatic pain. This is a “my raw flesh is exposed on my vagina and I can’t sit, stand or lay” kind of pain.
    Sat in the ice-cold bath for 10 mins and my vagina is numb. Now laying in bed with a bag of frozen peas on my shrivelled up painful little flower asking myself why the FUCK did I do this ??????? And then thinking to myself you know what tho hun I’m fucking stupid enough to do this again and I probably will because my bum is GLOWING and there’s not a single hair down there 😂
  • Is This What Child Maintenance Is For?
    I am often told by others who never had to struggle to make ends meet, that I should just forget about child maintenance payments, so I can move on and forget my ex.
    Yesterday I let my 11 yr old daughter out with friends. I gave her £5 and hoped she would bring back change and not squander it, as it was put by to pay towards her P7 leavers hoodie.
    Her friends had much more to spend and went to a cafe. My daughter decided she didn’t have enough and felt guilty if she spent it, so wandered off to see if she could find anyone else to hang around with.
    She wandered to the other side of town. She has a mobile but I am unable to top it up. I phoned a few times to check she was ok but she didn’t answer.
    Finally I got a hold of her and she was crying and said she was upset as she felt unable to join her friends at the cafe.
    I put my shoes on to walk across town to meet her.( no car). As I headed down the road A car stopped and a disgruntled woman let my daughter out her car, muttering how irresponsible parents are to let their children wander off.
    My daughter was offered a lift home by a stranger. I’m still shocked how my daughter agreed to get in a stranger’s car.
    Once we calmed down, we had a chat why she got in the car. She says she felt so down and lonely as she couldn’t be with her friends in the cafe because I couldn’t afford to give her more money to spend and felt guilty if she spent it, she burst into tears and the woman stopped the car to offer her a lift She felt obliged to get in.
    I am lucky the woman was genuine and brought her back. I feel like the worst mum as I can’t provide her enough to top up her phone just now and let her have a normal teen social life.
    All because ex won’t pay child support.
    Emailed in and asked for anonymous blog post
    Is this what child maintenance is for? To help children to live normal lives, or is it just the mums responsibility to work harder to give her treats or both mum and dad?
  • Equal Rights Should Mean Equal Responsibility-Rape
    Charlie Lucy took to Facebook with a post that made many people sit up and think.
     Equal rights should mean equal responsibility.
    The definition of rape stands as such:
    “Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without that person’s consent. The act may be carried out by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority, or against a person who is incapable of giving valid consent, such as one who is unconscious, incapacitated, has an intellectual disability or is below the legal age of consent.The term rape is sometimes used interchangeably with the term sexual assault.”
    So therefore why are females who violate children not charged with rape?
    Women fought for the right to vote,work and be considered as equals to their male counterparts. They demanded change so as to be given the same rights and privileges.
    With equal rights should come equal responsibility and yet because they lack male genitalia they escape being charged,tried and found guilty of the crime of rape. The very definition states that rape includes “other forms of penetration”-which female abusers engage in-and so why are they not charged as rapists,rather than it being classed as “assault by penetration?”
    I will always class my female perpetrators as rapists. They groomed me,tortured and manipulated me,held and tied me down to be assaulted by male abusers,used objects and their body parts to violate my body,were party to recording these sickening acts. My foster-mother would take me to various homes to be violated and raped-she accepted money from these vermin in exchange for my innocence.
    She and other female abusers assaulted and degraded me in every possible way,there were dozens-if not hundreds-of occasions where they penetrated and violently assaulted my body for their own sexual gratification and yet these vile excuses for human beings avoid being charged as the despicable rapist scum they are?
    In no way am I saying that sexual assault isn’t as traumatic as rape-both violations are devastating and will change the victim forever-but rape is legally considered to be a more serious offence than sexual assault and females are evading being labelled as the monsters they are!
    Sentencing in the UK is already highly questionable and does not reflect the severity of the crime. It’s about time female abusers faced the same consequences-however lenient any legal punishment maybe!
    Peace to you all 💖
  • Brutally Honest Post About Breastfeeding
    “This is mastitis.
    After hitting the 1 year breastfeeding mark last Sunday I felt compelled to share my story.
    Breastfeeding did NOT come easy for me. My milk came in after 5 days. I wasn’t aware that it could take that long, I didn’t even necessarily know what “milk coming in” meant. (Nobody ever taught me.) I was the only mother breastfeeding on my ward. One women did try to breastfeed, but switched to formula after 12 hours because she “had no milk” (nobody taught her either.)
    While the other babies slept with full bellies, my son screamed and cried attached to my breast through the night. (What was cluster feeding? Nobody told me) When I got home, problems started to arise-my nipple literally cracked in half. I have never felt such pain, I dreaded every feed, but persisted with tears in my eyes until I was healed. (Nobody taught me that breastfeeding could be painful, nobody taught me what a good latch looked like) When feeding my son out in public I would either go to the bathroom or pump at home and feed him with a bottle.
    Because I felt embarrassed and as though I would make others uncomfortable. This resulted in clogged ducts and engorgement. (I feed freely in public now, and have done for a long time. Fuck this backwards society!)
    Then came mastitis.
    I remember waking up at 3am shivering, putting on my dressing gown and extra blankets and trying to feed my son. The pain. It was excruciating. I was shaking and sweating but freezing to my bones. At 5 am I woke up my boyfriend and told him I thought I needed to go to the hospital. We got my stepdad, a doctor, he took my temperature and said it was slightly high, but to take a paracetamol and try to sleep. 7am comes, I’ve had no sleep, and now I’m vomiting, he takes my temp again. 40 c. I had developed sepsis overnight.
    This was because I was not able to recognise the more subtle signs of mastitis (as I had seen no redness that day) I was rushed to resus, given morphine, anti sickness and the strongest antibiotics they could give, and separated from my baby for two nights.
    I was Heartbroken.
    During my hospital stay, I repeatedly asked for a pump, because if I didn’t drain the breast my mastitis would get worse (and it did) The nurses response was “we’re having trouble finding one as we don’t get many breastfeeding mothers here”
    There’s a lot more to this story but my point is, the lack of support and education surrounding breastfeeding is just terrible. And I don’t mean in terms of relaying the benefits of breast milk and handing out lactation support leaflets. I mean general education, about the basics of breastfeeding, about cluster feeding, about the problems that can arise and what to do, how to spot them and how to remedy them. The peddling of formula in the 60’s/70’s has broken the vital cycle of passing knowledge from one generation to the next. (I know formula saves lives and serves a great purpose) but in the past we would have had our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and friends, all giving their support, their wisdom and their knowledge.
    But many of our mothers and grandmothers don’t know, as they never breastfed.
    Women are not expected to give birth alone, but somehow today they are expected to breastfeed alone, and not share their experience with others, and this is why so many breastfeeding relationships end before they’ve even really started. The breastfeeding rates in the UK are shockingly low. The health system, and society in general is failing breastfeeding mothers. I see many professionals push breast is best almost aggressively in some cases, and yet there is no real support post baby. Breastfeeding is HARD, it needs to be taught and it needs to be learned. Just like walking, talking, reading and writing it may be natural, but it does not always come naturally.
    And this is what I should have known but didn’t, this is what I might have known if breastfeeding rates were higher, if this society didn’t objectify breasts. If new mothers knew just how difficult it can be at first, more would take themselves to prenatal breastfeeding classes, buy books, join forums, and ask more questions – But we don’t, we just assume that it will feel as natural as breathing. Because no one ever told us.”
  • Beware Of The Kellogg’s Sip Up Bowls
    So last night I had a craving, a craved something sweet like a nice Twix or a bag of malteasers but I hadn’t done a food shop in a week and my supplies were low so I decided to make myself some coco pops (you’re never too old) anyways I thought I’d use my daughters special bowl so I could suck all the chocolate milky goodness.
    Ok now this is where my happiness ended, no sweet release, no enjoyable chocolately goodness but along came distress, horror and a grown woman screaming in the kitchen in her very old, worn out but ever so comfy dressing gown.
    Just as I was about to pour in my coco pops I see something black sticking out of the built in straw.
    Ok don’t panic it’s probably an eye lash!!!
    Nope nope nopedy nope it’s an 8 legged mafia looking spider 🕷.
    Let’s just say I’m traumatized I could have sucked on a spider.
    My daughter no longer has her favourite bowl as it was launched out of the back door, ok I could go in the garden and retrieve it but it can stay there, until one of the kids is brave enough to see if mafia spider has moved out and started a little family in the garden where they belong.
    Now I’m sat here eating a bloody apple. 🍎
    I’m super paranoid now, checking in the toilet roll insert, looking in glasses, shoes, mugs and even checking under tea spoons, so to all mummies out there with a spider phobia rinse the straw under the ap before use.
