  • To The Mum Hiding In Her Bathroom Needing Peace For Just One Minute

To the mum hiding in her bathroom, needing peace for just one minute, as the tears roll down her cheeks..

To the mum who is so tired she feel likes she can’t function anymore and would do anything to lay down and get the rest she needs…

To the mum sitting in her car, alone, stuffing food in her face because she doesn’t want anyone else to see or know she eats that stuff…

To the mum crying on the couch after she yelled at her kids for something little and is now feeling guilty and like she is unworthy…

To the mum that is trying desperately to put those old jeans on because all she really wants is to look in the mirror and feel good about herself…

To the mum that doesn’t want to leave the house because life is just too much to handle right now…

To the mum that is calling out for pizza again because dinner just didn’t happen the way she wanted it to…

To the mum that feels alone, whether in a room by herself or standing in a crowd…

    You are enough.

    You are important.

    You are worthy.

This is a phase of life for us. This is a really really hard, challenging, crazy phase of life.

In the end it will all be worth it. But for now it’s hard. And it’s hard for so many of us in many different ways. We don’t always talk about it, but it’s hard and it’s not just you.

    You are enough.

    You are doing your best.

Those little eyes that look up at you – they think you are perfect. They think you are more than enough.

Those little hands that reach out to hold you – they think you are the strongest. They think you can conquer the world.

Those little mouths eating the food you gave them – they think that you are the best because their bellies are full.

Those little hearts that reach out to touch yours – they don’t want anything more. They just want you.

Because you are enough. You are more than enough, mama.

    You. Are. Amazing. ❤❤

  • Do Not Give Your Toddler Milk Or Juice At Night

A lady known as Ray Ray has taken to Facebook to warn other parents about allowing their toddlers to have milk and juice during the night.

Ray Ray said “Believe me when I say this the most hurtful feeling I ever felt for my child , my son is only  2 & had to get his front 4 teeth removed because he had a lot of tooth decay from milk and juices that he would drink through the middle of the night at least 4 times of filling up his cup throughout the night too soothe him because he would cry for it.

My baby boys teeth became brittle & I also wasn’t brushing his teeth regularly every day like I should have waving it off cause (their baby teeth) & he would fight & cry, to the point one broke and one crack( due to him falling chasing after his ball) I just suggest that if you have a young child just don’t let them drink an water throughout the night while they’re asleep because it sits in their month and  can cause seriously teeth damage and possibly gum damage also !

I am feelings so hurt I’m emotional about it because it’s my fault why my baby had to experience this but big lesson here I’ll never let this happen again to any of my children 😭😭 if I knew better I promise I would’ve done better #lessonlearned2.

Hundreds of people commented on Ray Ray’s post saying that they had problems with their toddlers teeth in the past through giving milk and juice in the night, if you can avoid giving these over night then please do so or replace with water, brush toddlers teeth regularly, we would advice hen they are a small baby to get them used to it (obviously without toothpaste).

  • No Sex For Husband Until Fortnite Goes

For years I have known I would lose my husband to the football season, when the “game” is on I cannot speak to my other half as all I get is grunts and waving of his arms in response, he cannot look away from the screen and I lose my front room, not that I mind it gives me a chance to visit friends and watch what I want in my bedroom.

Now football I understand he has always been a huge fan and I knew this when I first met him and I have accepted this part of my life, after all its only 90 odd minutes.

But a new trend has stolen my husband, a stupid game called Fortnite, my husband rages, screams, cries and acts like a 2-year-old who has dropped his ice cream when he doesn’t win, and celebrates his “victory royale” by recording his achievement and posting it on his Facebook.

Before Fortnite came along his Facebook profile was full of pictures of us together or funny memes but now he’s become a bloody teenager and its super embarrassing.

I as a grown woman will not raise my husband that was his mother’s job years ago, I cannot send him to his room when he has a temper tantrum but I can withhold all Sex until he grows up and gets off this stupid game!

Fortnite is for kids, not grown men, with jobs and responsibilities at this rate we will never be able to make a baby as he’s too busy acting like a child himself.

I have not “put out” for two weeks so far but I don’t think he has even noticed, this stupid game appears to give him all the things he needs, he gets rid of some testosterone and gets his fill when he wins a game, sad, sad, sad I hope he grows out of it soon before I accidentally smash-up the Playstation.

  • How Dare You Complain About Being A Stay At Home Mum

Stay at home mum (SAHM) depression….

The elephant in the room nobody talks about

I mean, how DARE you complain after being gifted this opportunity to stay at home and raise YOUR own kids but it’s not that simple. Of course we SAHM’s are being grateful to stay home and raise our young BUT that it’s literally all we become.

No one talks about the isolation.

No one talks about the loss of identity.

No one talks about the loneliness.

No one talks about losing your sense of self.

No one talks about how you had to give up your career because it’s cheaper for you to stay home.

No one talks about how you cry in the shower because your day was overwhelming.

No one understands why you’re tired.

No one understands why you’re irritable.

No one understands why you need a mental break.

No one understands why you’re so aggravated with your kids.

No one understands why after you’ve been home all day, the house is a wreck still.

No one understands why you just need 5 minutes with no one speaking to or touching you.

No one understands why you’ve lost your sex drive.

No one understands why you’re completely & utterly exhausted, after all, you just sit at home all day

No one understands the feeling you have when you are told you don’t have a “real job”.

Most of us were working women at one point. We got to go to a job and interact with other adults outside our home. We contributed financially to our household. (Shoot, most of us want some kind of side hustle or part time job because it would sure help with financial relief) We didn’t feel like an endless maid. We got that break away (even though yes, work is a love/ hate relationship) that gives you space from the people you live with (children, spouse… Etc) because yes, EVERY relationship needs time away in it to not go crazy being around each other 24/7. That’s not healthy. Contrary to popular belief…

    YOU NEED A BREAK  DAILY

I can’t tell you how many women I meet or know that say “oh, you have to much time on your hands” “I sure wish I could stay home, I wouldn’t complain” good for you! I can guarantee you will change your mind 6 months in, unless you’re wealthy and have money to constantly go do things. I once was you. I wished upon a star I could stay home with my kids because I wanted to spend all the time I could. I didn’t realize what all came with being a SAHM.

Oh but YOU chose to have those kids. YOU should’ve thought about that before having them. If you didn’t want to go through all this YOU should’ve never had kids. & YOU said you want more????

Seriously…. Yup, heard those all before.

Next time you hear or see a SAHM venting her frustrations, listen and make her feel like she’s somebody. That her struggles are not invalid. You know just because she don’t have a “real job”.

  • Single Working Mums You Are Badass

A reality so many women face. When you have no choice because financially you can’t stay home and long to so bad. Whether you are planning your family or it happens on a whim… The thoughts race through your head. How will I do this? How am I going to manage? How will I get off work? How will I balance working full-time plus overtime, get home & try to spend time with the kids before bed. Work on homework, start dinner, attempt to clean, make sure the kids have clean clothes for the next day. Baths. Story time. Hugs. Kisses. But what about you? Where’s your time? By the time you get everything settled and done, there is no time because in a few short hours this chaotic schedule will start back over. & Repeat.

No one understands the punch to the gut you get when your maternity leave is up and you have to leave that precious baby.

No one talks about the guilt.

No one talks about the exhaustion.

No one talks about your mental health.

    They just see super mum!

“Oh my gosh, I don’t know how you do it” is something you hear often. Or you get the “how could you choose working over your kids”.

They don’t see all those bills piled up on the table, some past due & some are getting there. They don’t know that you’re a single mum trying to be both mum and dad and all you want is to buy your little guy those shoes he wants for getting a gold star at school or a celebration certificate from school.

They don’t know that you’re trying to put yourself through school while juggling working & taking care of your children.

They don’t see you crying in the shower because you missed your kids

    First steps

    First words

    First day of school

    sports game and sports day

    Awards ceremony

    School trip

    Dr appointments

See, you’d give anything to be home with your babies. If only that was doable in this day & age.

Your day doesn’t end. You leave one job to start another. One day they will understand. They will know why you worked so hard to keep your family a float. Trust me.

You are one badass mum & you’re rocking it, being mum and dad and sole provider is one touch job!

  • Dear Working Dads We See You!

Dear working dads…. We see you!

We see you working from sun up to sun down. Only seeing your kids before school because most times they’re in bed by time you get home. We see you come home from working 12-16 hours of hard labour & still get on the floor and wrestle with the kids. We see you laid back in that recliner after work with the baby on your chest, dozing off, but you just want to get those snuggles in because each day you’re gone to work the baby grows more and more.

We see your absence at school functions & sports games, not because you don’t want to be there but because you have no choice.

You’re the bread-winner. You’ve sacrificed working relentless hours so your wife can stay home with the kids. So she can be there for every single event they have.

    Every single milestone

    Every single boo boo

    Every single sports game

    Every single school function

    Every single Dr appointment

We appreciate this more than you know. We see that you are hurting inside when your child begs you to go to something and you have to say ” I can’t buddy, Daddy has to work”. The look of disappointment in their eyes but you know that one day they will understand. One day this will all make sense. You did this for them. You worked your butt off so they could do all these wonderful things.

We see the look in your eyes when your kid comes running to up to you and you don’t know what to do cause it’s a first for you. It’s ok. We’re all still learning. We see how our kids act a fool all day for us moms and you come home and give them that look and they instantly act right.

Dadding is a hard job too. Just because you don’t stay home with the kids all day, don’t mean that you don’t have it hard. Missing out on everything is probably the hardest part of all.

  • Marriage After Having Children

When you get married, you and your spouse decide when to start trying to have children. Some start right away. Others want to enjoy their first year as honeymooners. There is no right or wrong. We heard from a lot of our elders one thing though: Build your marital foundation before kids. As the mother to a toddler, I now completely understand why they said this to us.

Marriage is work even if you don’t have kids. Add kids to the mix and now you have changed the recipe for your marriage. You have to work at finding time to connect. You have to work to pencil in a date night on the calendar. (Where are all the people who offered to babysit when he was an infant?) You have to work to hold your tongue when you want to say something that you know will start an argument, but your child is in the room. You have to work to find time to connect intimately. Marriage is constant work.

In the darkest hours you want to turn on your spouse. Why isn’t he helping? I worked all day too, why is he so tired? Staying at home with kids all day is draining, why is he complaining, at least he left the house today? We begin to resent our spouses when we are in a stressful season of life. He is lazy. He doesn’t get it, does he have common sense? He could be better at x, y or z. He doesn’t show affection anymore. He doesn’t act like he wants to be a father/husband anymore.

Here’s the hard part. Remember the foundation you laid in the beginning of your marriage, it’s time to go back to the basics. You have to communicate. Your husband needs to know how you feel. Sit down after the kids are in bed and tell him exactly what you’re feeling in a calm manner. Use “I feel” statements. It sounds silly, but it will prevent it from turning into an argument. You owe it to yourselves and your marriage to have the long-problem solving conversation so your marriage can stay the course.

You’re in the toddler trenches. This season is tough. No one knows how to correctly tame a toddler. Some people are just blessed with toddlers who didn’t act out, the rest of us are trying everything under the sun to get through the sour patch years.

Momma, it’s okay to feel like your marriage is in trouble. Have the conversation so you can reassure your spouse that you love him, but some days he drives you bananas. I’m sure the feeling is mutual! Get back on the same page and hold each other accountable for being lazy, tired, lacking common sense at times or constantly complaining.

    Communicate!

  • Have You Heard Of Post-Partum Anxiety

I saw a doctor a few months back.

I have a hard time looking people in the eyes, I talk too fast, I think I give myself away. I pretend its okay, but I’m drowning. Has that ever happened to you?

I saw my doctor for Post-Partum Anxiety.

I mourn things in my mind, before they ever even go. It’s crazy, I know, so I try to talk myself out of it and remind myself that we are still alive.

But, most days, I’m scared. To even go to the local supermarket. Everything has a new meaning now- is the person in front of me distracted or drunk? Will today be the last time I see her? Last time I strap her into her car seat?

But the thing is, you never know the last time is the last time, until it’s over.

So, I memorize like a mad woman. The way everything looks giant in her hands or the way her pigtails and teeth are lopsided. Just in case.

It seems unbearable this intense love I have for her, and what would happen if I lost her? Or him? I hear a story of a mother loosing her child, and I get sick. For days. And then I’m all screwed up in my head again.

It’s like a sick joke; going through life so naive, but not knowing it until you know it. You know? Its violating. Not realizing the fragility or pricelessness of a beating heart, until its outside of you.

Like that time I walked through a spider’s web and just kept skipping along. It wasn’t until I was back in the house that I realized I had been carrying the biggest spider I’d ever seen, right there on my shoulder. Something about that’s always stuck How you can think its one way, but really you haven’t got a clue. Like giving birth- nothing could’ve prepared me to know what I was going to know when I watched her take her very first breath.

Once you’ve carried life, you somehow understand its counterpart -death- so very intimately.

    Post-Partum Anxiety.

    I don’t, I won’t, I can’t think it’s too ugly.

  • Little Known And Useless Facts-Must Read

    Little known and useless facts

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

    (Hardly seems worth it.)

If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.

    (Now that’s more like it!)

The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet.

    (O.M..G!)

    A pig’s orgasm lasts 30 minutes..

    (O.M..G!!!)

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. Creepy! (I’m still not over the pig.)

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour.

(Don’t try this at home; maybe at work.)

The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male’s head off.

(Honey, I’m home . What the.?)

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It’s like a human jumping the length of a football field.

(30 minutes. Lucky pig! Can you imagine?)

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds.

(What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?)

Some lions mate over 50 times a day.

(I still can’t believe that pig ….quality over quantity.)

    Butterflies taste with their feet.

(Something I always wanted to know.)

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.

    (Hmmmmmm…….)

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.

(If you’re ambidextrous, do you split the difference?)

Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.

(Okay, so that would be a good thing.)

A cat’s urine glows under a black light.

(I wonder how much the government paid to figure that out.)

An ostrich’s eye is bigger than its brain.

(I know some people like that.)

    Starfish have no brains.

(I know some people like that, too.)

    Polar bears are left-handed.

(If they switch, they’ll live a lot longer.)

Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure.

(What about that pig? Do the dolphins know about the pig?)

  • Never Drink Out Of A Fizzy Drink Can/Tin

On Sunday the 1st of April 2018 , we had a family picnic, some brought with thema a few drinks in cans, like Fanta, coke and monster energy drinks.

However, on Monday, two family members( who joined the picnic) were admitted to hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit space. One died on the following Wednesday.

Autopsy results concluded it hit Leptospirosis. The bacteria, known as LEPTOSPIRA interrogans, is stuck to the tin cans, and were drunk, without the use of glasses, cups or sip straws. Test results showed that the soda tin was infected from mice urine, and that had dried, the mice’ urine containing Leptospirosis.

It is highly recommended to rinse the parts evenly on all soda/beer cans before drinking it. Cans are usually stored in the warehouse and delivered direct to retail stores without cleaning.

A study has shown that the top of all beverage cans are more contaminated than public toilets (full of germs and bacteria.)

So, clean it with water before putting it to your mouth in order to avoid contamination.

Signs and symptoms can range from none to mild such as headaches, muscle pains, and fevers; to severe with bleeding from the lungs or meningitis. If the infection causes the person to turn yellow, have kidney failure and bleeding, it is then known as Weil’s disease. If it also causes bleeding into the lungs then it is known as severe pulmonary hemorrhage syndrome.

It is transmitted by both wild and domestic animals. The most common animals that spread the disease are rodents. It is often transmitted by animal urine or by water or soil containing animal urine coming into contact with breaks in the skin, eyes, mouth, or nose.

Just give those tins a wipe over before placing to your mouth, or pour into a clean glass.
