Be Happy is written and directed by choreographer turned director Remo D’Souza. The choreography and music is fabulous, what it lacks is a solid script though the story is impressive which talks about hope and dream that is going to make you laugh and cry at the same time. Nothing out of the box, but the climax is sad… very sad. Not only is Abhishek Bachchan phenomenal in the film, but the little package Inayat Verma will steal your heart.

Audiences need to understand that he has a very different style of acting, unlike his father. He isn’t an over-the-top actor, but a very fine craftsman. Hence, he is underrated, which shouldn’t be the case. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Firstpost’s Lachmi Deb Roy, he talks about his style of acting, how he breathes life into characters.

How much fun did you have while making
Be Happy?

Filmmaking is the world of make-believe. We glorify lies so none of us had any fun at all. Do we look happy from any angle? We all were upset while making the film knowing it would be called Be Happy. Filmmaking is a very somber process and that’s exactly what the mood of the film was.

How much do you relate to the role since you’re a father in real life as well? Do you get emotional while playing such roles?

You have to relate to all the characters you play. The reason why your director trusts you is because he believes you can breathe life into it and make it truthful. Whether I’m doing a Refugee or a Sarkar or a Jhoom Barabar Jhoom or a Paa or a Bol Bachchan or a Happy New Year or a Ludo or a Dasvi, you have to make it truthful. That’s the only way you can convince the audience. Because I’m a father in real life, it’s easier to understand those emotions because you’ve experienced them or maybe you don’t have to manufacture them. You can just feel them.

When you see yourself in the mirror, is it Abhishek Bachchan that you see or is it the character that you are playing?

I’m not much of a method actor. I’ve studied the method and all but I find it very demanding and it doesn’t work for me in entirety. You manage to find the balance between the two. It’s also weird because every time you look into the mirror, you’re looking at Abhishek.

Cinema is changing. There’s no hero or heroine. Every character plays an important part. What do you have to say about it?

I’m a bit conflicted about it because I come from a thought process where no matter when the film is being made, even the smallest of roles have a huge contribution in making it a success. A story also becomes interesting when the characters become interesting.

I come from that school of thought where everyone is important. It’s not anything out of the norm for me. Different stories require different kinds of narrative. It’s not necessarily about the hero and the heroine, there are many characters around them.

I understand what you’re asking that the attention has shifted from the hero but that’s media created. I feel you’ll have a very difficult job when you have to put down in words what needs to be felt. The only people who can do that are poets, and then film critics and journalists. A film critic has to see a film and decide whether he liked it or not. It’s not made to be analysed but felt. You have to sometimes break it down methodically and that too in a cold manner. It’s nice that a question like this is being asked.

What’s your take on the evolution of OTT?

They have evolved in our country. I think the requirements are very different here, the requirement of entertainment is very different. Our definition of entertainment and art is different from another country’s definition. French cinema is wonderful but if you show it to a person who has grown on an appetite of Indian films, it might not entertain them because culturally the context is very different.

What digital platforms have done is that they made cinema from all countries accessible. Is it palatable to the society is yet to be seen? There are certain things about Indian cinema we should not lose. The themes of poetic justice are very much synonymous with Indian cinema, I love that. My grandfather once told me the best thing about Indian cinema is you get to see poetic justice in three hours. Are we making for the art of it or the commerce of it; is again a big question.

Does the pressure of commerce reduce when a film streams on the digital platform?

It’s termed commerce, it’s about the success of the film. It’s that many people have enjoyed watching it. How do you quantify that? By ticket sales. You release a film on a mass platform because you want maximum people to watch it and enjoy. And that’s what success is in this medium.

But what makes you happy in real life?

Now, that’s a very difficult question and I have to think over it.

Kim Sae Ron’s mother has spoken out to address the misinformation surrounding her daughter. She asserted that Kim Sae Ron never fabricated stories about working part-time jobs for sympathy. 

Some claim she was the sole breadwinner of her family and that her wealth had been mismanaged. Her mother refuted these allegations, calling them absurd.

Kim Sae Ron’s mother expressed frustration over the lack of legal support for her daughter, stating, “If she had been represented by a powerful agency with high-profile lawyers, they could have helped clear her name. Instead, she faced relentless criticism and cruel attacks alone.”

After her DUI scandal in 2022, Kim Sae Ron struggled to secure acting roles and took up part-time work at a café to support herself. She was often seen serving customers, trying to lead a quiet and modest life away from the limelight.

Despite her efforts to move on from the controversy, she continued to face public criticism. On March 14, 2025, GOLDMEDALIST officially confirmed that Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun had been in a relationship.

The agency clarified that their relationship occurred between 2019 and 2020 when Kim Sae Ron was an adult. However, with her death, renewed discussions have surfaced, bringing further scrutiny to their past connection.

Kim Sae Ron’s passing has left many questions unanswered, with ongoing discussions about the impact of public scrutiny on her life.  Fans, colleagues, and industry insiders continue to remember her not only for her talent but also for the hardships she endured. 

Kim Sae Ron faced financial struggles and was reportedly asked to pay 700 million KRW to her former agency, GOLDMEDALIST. However, on March 14, 2025, the agency denied these claims, stating they never pressured the 24-year-old actress and that her debt had been waived, dismissing all allegations.

To buy more time, Kim Sae Ron even messaged Kim Soo-hyun for help, but he did not respond. GOLDMEDALIST later clarified that Kim Soo-hyun’s silence was due to instructions to stay out of the legal proceedings and avoid any involvement in the matter.

Nottingham parents should take some responsibility for the city’s school absence rates as a government minister slams the “dangerous” idea of school being optional. The city was chosen as one of 10 areas that will get dedicated government support from next month to improve school absence rates.

Nottingham had one of the worst school absence rates in the country when the government project was announced in October 2024, with a rate of 7.3% compared to a national average of 6.7%. The Local Democracy Reporting Service has also reported that Nottingham’s school exclusion rate is now nearly double the national average.

Stephen Morgan, the minister for early education, attended a conference of over 100 East Midlands school leaders at Eastwood Hall on Thursday (March 13) to discuss how school absence should be tackled. Mr Morgan said in a speech at the conference: “It’s easy to understand parents who struggle with a child who has severe anxiety.

“It’s harder to understand parents who feel it’s no longer necessary for their child to be in school every day. All parents have a fundamental responsibility to send their children to school and we will continue to push back against the frankly dangerous idea that going to school is optional.”

Speaking to Nottinghamshire Live about how much responsibility parents should take for Nottingham’s school absence rates, Mr Morgan said: “Parents do have a really important role to play here and I think it’s about having a really good relationship between schools and parents. My parents kind of saw it as their responsibility to make sure I was at school on time and regularly and the approach that we’re taking is working with parents to encourage that attendance at school.”

In terms of the recent school exclusion rates in particular, Mr Morgan said: “What I’m really keen to do is get to the root cause of some of those exclusions and that’s why the interventions around mental health or breakfast clubs and other issues are important. I recognise there’s more to do and that’s why it’s really important to have a strong relationship with local authorities to drive down exclusions.”

The government’s dedicated funding in Nottingham will pay for ‘attendance mentors’ to provide one to one support for persistently absent pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and mental health issues. Pupils will be supported over a 12 to 20 week period, with their mentor developing a tailored plan to get them back into the classroom.

Mr Morgan added: “Nottingham is part of our attendance work and from April will get access to dedicated support around attendance. That’s about working with specific schools and specific young people to support them to return to school and hopefully really get to the very heart of some issues and support them with that.”

She also shared a screenshot from the Nuby website, which gave more details of the discount scheme.

Many Facebook users said they were unaware of the discount prior to Chelsea’s post.

A maternity exemption certificate also entitles people to free NHS prescriptions and dental treatment while pregnant, and for a year after giving birth.

Maynard had announced before the birth of Penelope in October 2024 that she is pregnant with the baby of Maynard. However, since the birth of Penelope, the duo fell out publicly and distanced themselves from each other. Adding to it, Maynard, on Thursday, posted a story on Instagram in which he said that he took a paternity test in the presence of legal experts in which it was confirmed that he is not the father of Penelope.

“I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton’s baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative,” he wrote. “Today I’ve received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope’s father. Sam Millar’s parents are angry at red tape holding back the drug, despite it being licensed in Scotland.

Two Scots parents are pleading with the NHS to allow their “fighter” son access to a life changing drug before it is too late.

Sam Millar from Edinburgh, was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a disease that leads to loss of mobility, as well as heart and respiratory complications.

The eight-year-old been approved for givinostat, a treatment proven to slow the effects of the disease. But, his parents have been told that the NHS does not have the resources to administer it – despite it being licensed in Scotland on December 20 last year.

Dr Tracey Gillies, medical director at NHS Lothian said that newly licensed medicine is ‘not routinely prescribed’. She added that there are ‘processes in place’ to provide earlier access, with patients considered on an ‘individual basis’.

Parents Karla and Stephen Millar are now making a heartfelt please for the necessary resources to be provided, so that Sam can receive treatment as soon as possible before his symptoms become irreversible.

Stephen told Edinburgh Live: “For every day, week, and month that passes, Sam and other boys with Duchenne are getting weaker.

“The EAP has been available since November; we are now in March. Sam has been approved for early access, yet we’ve been told the NHS doesn’t have the resources to deliver the treatment now.

“We understand the complexities involved in approving new treatments, but the reality is that every day matters when it comes to Duchenne,” says Stephen.

“Sam is a fighter, and we’ll do everything we can to help him. But we need the Cabinet Health Secretary to step in and ensure that no child in Scotland suffers because treatment is withheld due to red tape.”

Karla added: “We’re running out of time. Every day counts for Sam. He’s a brave boy, but his muscles are weakening, and we fear that if the treatment isn’t given soon, his chances of living a longer, healthier life could be lost.

“We need the Cabinet Health Secretary to listen to our plea and ensure that Sam can access the treatment that could slow the progression of Duchenne.”

Edinburgh South West MP Scott Arthur has intervened and written to Neil Gray, MSP, on behalf of Sam. He’s called on the Cabinet Health Secretary to provide the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People with the resources needed to administer givinostat.

Duchenne muscular dystrophy affects approximately one in every 3,500 male births. There is currently no cure, advances in treatment can slow progression – if provided in time.

Dr Tracey Gillies, Medical Director, NHS Lothian, said: “We are unable to discuss individual patients without their consent. In cases where a newly licensed medicine is currently under evaluation by the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) and awaiting guidance, it is not routinely prescribed in Scotland.

“There are processes in place to provide earlier access to medicines in the interim period and patients and their circumstances are considered on an individual basis.”

An aggressive pet dachshund attacked and killed a newborn baby in the Russian city of Seversk in Siberia, earlier this month, according to The Independent, citing local media reports. The little girl, who was just a month old, was sleeping in her cot when the sausage dog bit her multiple times. The baby’s mother later found her newborn dead and covered in bite marks.

“During the night of March 10 this year, in an apartment on Kommunistichesky Avenue, a pet dachshund bit a baby girl born in 2025 while she was sleeping in her crib. Her mother later found the child’s lifeless body with multiple bite wounds,” the Investigative Committee informed as per the early inquiries.

The dog has since been euthanised and a criminal investigation has been launched. “A criminal case has been opened regarding the death of a minor child under the signs of a crime under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence),” the statement said.

As per a report in LBC, the dog had become aggressive after the baby’s birth and prior to the attack, the parents attempted to have it euthanised.

“This dachshund that lived with them, an eight-year-old dog. It behaved aggressively towards adult owners. And when the second child was born in the family in February, the aggression only increased,” a family member was quoted as saying.

“The parents understood the danger, decided on euthanasia. And they brought the dog to several clinics, but they were refused, because the animal was physically absolutely healthy.”

This is not the first instance when sausage dogs have come under scrutiny for their actions. Earlier this week, reports stated that Jemma Hart, 43, who died last year was found to be partially mauled by her two dachshunds.

She had been missing for a month when her body was discovered at her home in Swindon. Neighbours had alerted the police after realising they had not heard from her since Christmas 2023. At her inquest, the coroner revealed that one of the dogs was also found dead and the other was in a “distressed” condition.

The masters of storytelling are back as Coheed and Cambria have released their 11th studio album, Vaxis – Act III: The Father of Make Believe. The band joins a growing list of artists to put out new records in 2025, including Spiritbox, Ringo Starr and The Weeknd. This album is the third installment of the Vaxis series, following Vaxis – Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures in 2018, and Vaxis – Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind in 2022.

For over twenty years, Coheed and Cambria have been telling the story of The Amory Wars. The only time the band has truly stepped away from this was with their 2015 album, The Color Before the Sun. The concepts of each record follow comics and novels created by the band’s frontman, Claudio Sanchez. This 2025 record is another return to it, but the album contains a personal touch that reflects Sanchez’s true feelings over the past few years of life.

Yesterday’s Lost

Track 1 – 3:24

While promoting this album, lead singer Claudio Sanchez was quick to point out his age and how it had prompted him to truly start self-reflecting. Sanchez, who turned 47 on March 12, 2025, seemed determined to explore the themes of loss and mortality within this record. “Yesterday’s Lost” not only serves as the first track on the album but also an introduction to these themes.

The song is very gentle, featuring the sounds of piano and acoustic guitar. The lyrics are few, with only a couple of verses, but they are sung with a softness rather than intensity. This causes the listener to hang on to each word and truly begins the album off on a moving note. Once you hear this, your emotions are immediately opened up, and you are ready for the journey of the 13 other tracks.

The Continuum IV: So It Goes

Track 14 – 5:45

The last four tracks on this record are all “The Continuum” with each receiving its own part. Part IV is not only the final one in the story but also the last song on the album. “The Continuum IV: So It Goes” is rather mild in its nature, featuring sweet elements throughout, culminating in a climactic final two minutes that closes things with a heroic ensemble.

The story goes much deeper though, as the song appears to reference Kurt Vonnegut, an author who used the phrase “so it goes” to acknowledge suffering and loss in his controversial novel Slaughterhouse-Five. This theme not only seems to represent adversity in The Amory Wars but also relates back to Claudio Sanchez’s real-life self-reflection on these two subjects.

Corner My Confidence

Track 9 – 4:04

For as emotional as the opening track “Yesterday’s Lost” is, “Corner My Confidence” is arguably the one with the most sorrow. Just look at the beginning of the chorus, which starts with “Endings don’t come any easier. As I needed one, you stole the sun.” These may be some of the most powerful words on the album. Backed by a soft acoustic guitar, the song profoundly affects one’s feelings.

It is a continued exploration of loss and grief, but also a quest to find meaning in a disorderly world. As you listen and replay the lyrics, you begin to realize their impact: a continual search to find answers through grief. While this may not be a party anthem, it is an important track as it cuts to the core of the record’s message.

The Continuum III: Tethered Together

Track 13 – 4:36

The Beatles said in 1967, “I get by with a little help from my friends.” The reliance on others in some form or another seems to be a fundamental aspect of human experience. While “The Continuum IV” focuses on suffering and loss, “The Continuum III: Tethered Together” emphasizes connection and reliance on one another, even when it’s difficult to do so.

The song serves as a true reflection of life, where we all get by with a little help. The message is strong, acting as a link between the band and their fans. The piano in the beginning further strengthens the track, but the true power comes from the guitars. They include some of the most pleasing riffs on the entire album, tying together this important idea.

Meri Of Mercy

Track 5 – 4:16

The hardcore fans of The Amory Wars will greatly appreciate “Mari of Mercy” as the song seems to draw from the story’s protagonist, Cambria. This track addresses the “merciless warrior” whose feelings of compassion lead to conflict when trying to find the balance between life and duty. It’s one of those songs that not only continues the story but also allows any listener to derive meaning from it.

The tale is conveyed through the track, which feels quite upbeat. It features a small piano solo about three-quarters through, which is a nice touch. Another key element of the song is the opening verse, which lasts for a minute. It is a really cool way to start the song, and further enhances the overall objective of telling its story.

The Continuum II: The Flood

Track 12 – 6:23

As the third and fourth parts of the “Continuum” deal with relying on someone, and then the loss of someone, “The Continuum II: The Flood” is more about the anguish of a relationship ending. There’s no mistaking that the lyrics “Where I once loved, now pumps cold blood” are calculated, signifying the end of a once-happy relationship.

When you listen to this track, be prepared to be locked in for a while as it runs over six minutes and is the longest track on the album. It does leave room for assimilation as it has a nice instrumental interlude that lasts for a few minutes. Perhaps the most appealing part of the song is the way Claudio pronounces each word with so much emphasis.

Blind Side Sonny

Track 6 – 2:22

Released as a single, “Blind Side Sonny” was not only important in promoting this new record, but it also served as the introduction of a new character in The Amory Wars. The character Sonny is portrayed as a villain, who is most likely after the “unheavenly creatures.” If you watch the music video, you will see the new character making their way through the crowd while wearing a black cloak.

On the surface, this is a track that makes you want to move, and the music video leaves you longing to be at a Coheed and Cambria concert. However, a deeper dive into the lyrics reveals a song about revenge. It’s a story of how an innocent choice became misinterpreted and led to vicious consequences, highlighting how the wrong perception can be destructive.

The Father Of Make Believe

Track 4 – 4:39

The title track of the album appears to be a personal one for Claudio Sanchez. The song explores themes of being a leader and a family man while also dealing with life’s struggles. It strongly highlights how Sanchez has been able to carefully craft his messages without putting his entire life on display.

The song is powerful in its instrumentals, and showcases the beauty of what rock opera can be. The lyrics “I’m the vision that you choose to see. The one you can hate or love as you need” reveal a true struggle in how one is perceived. In this song, Sanchez is no different from any Coheed fan. He is simply a person with multiple roles, trying to be what people need him to be.

Searching For Tomorrow

Track 3 – 3:33

Fans have had a long time to digest “Searching for Tomorrow” since the song was released ahead of the album back in November 2024. The song features an animated video that is visually captivating. During it, you will see the Sonny character again in what is the beginning of the “Blind Side Sonny” music video, but quickly you are taken to another realm of The Amory Wars.

Not only does the video tell an incredible story, but the actual lyrics of the song do as well. It’s a tale of how searching for something more in life prevents you from appreciating what you already have. Given how fast life can move, this is a message that many can relate to. It ties back to one of the overarching themes of the record: self-acceptance.

The Continuum I: Welcome to Forever, Mr. Nobody

Track 11 – 3:43

This song begins “The Continuum” in the absolute best way possible. It is a fast-paced tune that is in your face from the very start. If you listen to the four tracks consecutively, there is no doubt this track grabs your attention and serves as a great hook for the rest of them. The other three deal with the feelings someone else can evoke in you, while this one focuses on self-evaluation.

It would be nice to know everything, but unfortunately, the knowledge of the world may be too vast for that to be possible. This song is the acceptance of that. While it’s easy to feel lost at times in a fast-paced society, there is comfort in realizing you’ll never have everything truly figured out. This is Coheed and Cambria’s way of saying it’s okay to be yourself.

One Last Miracle

Track 8 – 3:12

If you’re looking for a great chorus on the album, this song has it. It highlights some of the strongest parts of Claudio’s voice and allows him to sing with all his might. This is the kind of track where the vocals can fill a stadium. Another key aspect is that, at just over three minutes long, it’s the perfect song length, giving you just enough.

The song conveys a deep meaning as it touches on the emotions of change, yet it inspires hope after hearing it. It feels like this song could become a staple for Coheed and Cambria whenever they perform live. The song is easy to get stuck in your head and provides the perfect balance of conflicting feelings.

First off, this song offers some of the best vocals on the album. It has a sweet 2000s post-hardcore vibe, serving as a great callback to years past. The electronic elements elevate the song even further. With everything that the instrumentals provide, it may be easier to overlook the lyrics, but by doing so, you’ll miss out on the deepest messages on the album.

The track focuses on two sides: the poet and the poem. It explores how, as a poet, one can change perception based on what they say, or what they do. While this can be love, it’s more challenging to be the poem, which is an authentic version of oneself. This is about finding acceptance internally and externally, simply by being you.

Someone Who Can

Track 10 – 3:45

If you ever heard “Coming of Age” by Blondes, that’s the vibe of “Someone Who Can.” Even though this track is the 10th on the album, in many ways, it’s a prelude to everything else. This was the third music video the band had released in preparation for the record, and it shows a recreation of what it was like for them in their early days of performing together.

Since “The Continuum I: Welcome to Forever, Mr. Nobody” deals with similar concepts. It makes sense to have this song next to it. Both are explorations of learning, though this one seems to come from a younger standpoint. Take the message out of it, and just the music video can bring a tear to a Coheed and Cambria fan’s eye, as they remember the younger days of the band.

Goodbye, Sunshine

Track 2 – 4:16

Is it 2005, again? “Goodbye Sunshine” certainly makes it feel that way because if you’re a fan of a song like “The Suffering” from the Good Apollo record, you’ll definitely enjoy this track. While there are a lot of positives to seeing a band progress with sound, sometimes it’s the nostalgic songs like these that hit the hardest.

It’s a great tune that appears to revolve around the ending of a relationship, but ultimately, making peace with it, even if it’s poignant. Coming out of the somber “Yesterday’s Lost” track that opens the album, this was a fantastic change of pace that clearly indicates you’re listening to a Coheed and Cambria album.
