A police investigation is under way after the body of a newborn baby was found in a bag outside a church in Notting Hill, west London.

The Metropolitan Police has said it is “urgently appealing” for the child’s mother to come forward “for her own welfare”.

A statement from the force said: “Officers were called at 12.46pm on Tuesday, 25 March to Talbot Road, W11, following a report that the body of a baby had been found in a bag, left outside a church.

“London Ambulance Service also attended and sadly the baby was declared dead at the scene.”

Scotland Yard said the baby’s gender and exact age have not yet been established.

Superintendent Owen Renowden said: “This is an extremely sad and shocking matter and officers are working hard to establish the circumstances around what has taken place.

“This investigation is in the early stages and our immediate priority is to locate the baby’s mother, who we believe may have very recently given birth.

“If you are the baby’s mother and are reading this, please come forward to police or medical professionals. You must feel very frightened but please let us help – we are really worried about you and it is vitally important you get medical assistance and support. You can walk into any hospital, or a police station.”

Anyone who may have any information about the incident is asked to contact police.

Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar’s half-brother Aarya has reacted to his decision to drop their father’s surname.

The actor took fans by surprise after announcing his decision to drop his father Raj Babbar’s surname and adopting his mother’s name.

Prateik is the only son of actor-politician Raj Babbar and his second wife, the late actor Smita Patil, who died due to childbirth complications at the young age of 31.

The Bollywood actor has now added Smita Patil to his surname instead of Babbar.

Reacting to Prateik Babbar’s decision, his half-brother Aarya Babbar stated that nobody can erase their identity by just changing their name.

“I just want to say that Smita ma is our mother too. The choice of which name he wants to keep or drop is entirely his,” he said while speaking to an Indian media outlet.

However, Aryan was of the view that they would remain Babbars no matter what changes they make to their names.

“Kal ko main uthke apna naam Aarya Babbar se Aarya karlun, ya Rajesh kar lun. Main tab bhi Babbar hi rahunga na (Tomorrow, if I wake up and change my name from Aarya Babbar to just Aarya, or even Rajesh, I’ll still be a Babbar, won’t I?), the Bollywood actor said.

He continued, “Aap apna name change kar sakte ho, wajood nahi (You can change your name, but you can’t change your identity). Rahunga toh Babbar hi becasue wajood mera woh hi hai, aap woh kaise change kar sakte ho (I’ll remain a Babbar because my existence is rooted in that, how can you change that?)”

Reports about a rift in the family made rounds on Indian media after Prateik Babbar did not invite his family to his wedding with Priya Banerjee on February 14, 2025.

The couple tied the knot at the Mumbai home of Prateik’s late mother, Smita Patil.

Where to find Mother Jago’s book in Atomfall

When you first meet with Mother Jago in Casterfell Woods (beside The Old Mine in the north) and likely ask about her Strange Tonic Recipe – which manages to keep the infection status effect at bay – she’ll point you in the direction of the Druid’s Castle. While you’re at it, she’ll also ask if you can find her book there for her.

To find Mother Jago’s Book, you want to go to the Druid’s Camp – south of Casterfell Woods – and enter the Castle Ruins. You will not find the book or any other key items – such as the Strange Tonic Recipe or Atomic Battery – in this area by entering the castle’s front doors, however (or you will, if you’ve keen eyes, but we’re taking the side entrance for ease of access).

Instead, head to the left of the front entrance to find a side entrance, which is a white wooden door illuminated by blue torches. Head on inside, and just up ahead, you can take down the High Priestess and loot an Atomic Battery from beside her body.

If you then continue through the caves and reach the castle, you should eventually come to a small ruined room with some staircases and a library in it. The staircases lead to a shortcut that can be opened to quickly access the castle’s front entrance.

Mother Jago’s Book, however, is unsurprisingly found in the small library area. More specifically, it’s on a plate on the table in the middle of the room, surrounded by candles.

If you then return Mother Jago’s Book to her, she’ll reward you with three Training Stimulants for the trouble, which is a pretty good reward if you ask me.

Incidents are said to ‘vary in extremity’

Some 18 cases of alleged bullying have been reported at a school where the parents of one teenager have pulled him out for good.

The Manchester Evening News reported last week claims Alex McGarrie had been bullied ‘since day one’ at Hazel Grove High in Stockport, with his parents David and Sally believing he was targeted because of his autism.

They described the full extent of the alleged assaults on the 14-year-old, one of which was filmed on a mobile phone showing a boy sitting on Alex to pin him down while hitting his head.

The incident happened in December, but Alex – a keen darts player and Manchester City fan – hadn’t even told his parents it had taken place. It was only when it was shared on social media in February that he opened up about the attack.

Now the Cheadle MP Tom Morrison, whose constituency includes the school, has revealed more that a string of alleged bullying cases have been reported to him and Hazel Grove MP Lisa Smart.

Some 19 individuals have filed complaints with the politicians. Two relate to the same child. They relate to incidents that have taken place since 2023 and are said to ‘vary in extremity’, but all are in relation to alleged bullying.

Mr Morrison said: “Bullying is completely unacceptable, and every child deserves to feel safe and supported at school. I’ve been impressed with the way both the school and the trust have taken this issue seriously and acted to address concerns.

“While it’s clear there was a problem, they have shown a real commitment to tackling it and ensuring student welfare remains a top priority. I will continue working closely with parents to support them and am pushing the council to fulfil its role as the responsible authority for safeguarding. Protecting children must always be our highest priority, and I’ll keep working to make sure that happens.”

In relation to Alex’s case, Hazel Grove High School, run by the Laurus Trust, said its records ‘do not mirror all the information that this family has shared’.

Responding to the 18 cases registered with the MPs, a spokesperson for the school said: “Over recent weeks we have been working closely with both our local MPs and some of our families about issues that have been raised.

“While we have been heartened to hear of so many families sharing positive stories about their time at our school, we are also sorry to hear of any family who feels that their experiences at our school do not match the expectations and aspirations that we have for each child’s education.

“We will always listen and look to enhance everything that we do, and will continue to work with all of our community to give them the assurance and reassurance that our school is a place of nurture and excellence. We have been pleased that some of the external validation we have had, particularly over recent weeks, has recognised these efforts.”

Since Alex’s story was reported, his dad has been inundated with messages from readers who were saddened to hear about the youngster’s experience.

He was delighted to receive a message from darts champion Luke Humphries promising to arrange a special VIP trip for Alex to meet Premier League Darts stars backstage when the event comes to Manchester’s AO Arena in April. Manchester City FC has also reached out to the youngster to arrange a visit to the club.

Last week the family had a meeting with Stockport Council’s education department to discuss Alex’s needs and the move to a new school after the youngster decided he does not wish to return there.

The Manchester Evening News has approached Stockport council for comment.

BuyBuy Baby will officially re-enter the world of online retail on May 8, 2025, just days before Mother’s Day. This rebirth of sorts will kick off with a “Baby Days” event featuring daily giveaways and top-rated baby essentials. Beyond Inc. acquired BuyBuy Baby in February 2025 for $5 million, reuniting the brand with its former sister retailer Bed Bath & Beyond.

Big Blockchain Moves

As part of its broader turnaround strategy, the retailer also plans to launch a crowdfunding offering of a tokenized digital security linked to certain BuyBuy Baby intellectual property (IP) and available via the tZERO brokerage platform. The offering will be made in May 2025, with preferred pricing reserved for people who are Beyond stockholders of record on April 1, 2025.

When Beyond purchased BuyBuy Baby last month, Executive Chairman and Principal Executive Officer Marcus Lemonis outlined a three-point plan for BuyBuy Baby that included the digital security offering. Lemonis also said the brand would open standalone stores to be operated by home décor retailer Kirkland’s, which entered a strategic partnership with parent company Beyond in October 2024 to bring Bed Bath & Beyond back to brick-and-mortar retailing.

Additionally, Lemonis is planning to create “LifeChain” — a centralized database for important life documents that leverages the tZERO blockchain technology and BuyBuy Baby assets, presumably its customer data. The ledger would house birth, medical and educational records, financial products, insurance and purchases, integrating a consumer’s financial and digital assets into a digital wallet supported by the Salesforce Agentforce technology.

Earlier this month Beyond sold Zulily to focus more on its family brands.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Colin Gray, the father of the suspected Apalachee High School shooter, has requested that his trial take place outside of Barrow County.

On Sunday, Colin’s legal counsel filed a motion for a change of venue, claiming the case’s high-profile nature and widespread media coverage have biased local jurors against him.

“The alleged victims were well-known citizens [of] this county with high public visibility and their alleged murder evokes great passion and prejudice in this community,” the motion said.

Holding the trial in Barrow County, the motion argues, would violate Colin’s right to a fair trial by an impartial jury.

Colin Gray faces two counts of second-degree murder, 19 counts of second-degree cruelty to children, two counts of involuntary manslaughter and four counts of reckless conduct. He has pled not guilty.

Law enforcement said Colin gave his son, 14-year-old Colt Gray, access to the AR-style rifle used in the deadly shooting.

Colin was granted a $500,000 bond in February, with the condition that he not contact witnesses.

Meanwhile, Colt faces more than 50 charges, including felony and malice murder. He has also pleaded not guilty.

On Sept. 4, 2024, a shooter opened fire inside Apalachee High School, killing four people and hospitalizing nine others.

The dead were identified as teachers Richard Aspinwall and Cristina Irimie and 14-year-old students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo.

Colin faces the harshest charges ever brought against the parent of a suspected school shooter.

It’s been a couple of years since we first got word that a new Friday the 13th prequel series is moving forward at Peacock, and we finally have our first bit of casting news for the show.

Jeff Sneider first reported that Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks, No Good Deeds, Scooby-Doo) was in early talks to take on the key role of Jason Voorhees’ mother in Crystal Lake last month, and Deadline has now confirmed that she has officially been cast.

Cardellini also played Clint Barton’s wife, Laura, in Avengers: Endgame and Hawkeye.

According to the site, this take on Pamela Voorhees will be “a mother who had given up a singing career to raise a special needs child and takes a dark turn when she loses her son.”

Brad Caleb Kane (Welcome to Derry) came on board as showrunner when Bryan Fuller parted ways with the project last year.

Fans have been waiting for something to be done with the Friday franchise for many years now, but the news that Crystal Lake would be a prequel series dampened excitement somewhat – as did a caveat that the show couldn’t even feature an adult Jason or his signature hockey mask.

Fortunately, we would later learn that this part of the initial report was inaccurate.

Speaking to Fangoria in a 2023 interview, Fuller confirmed that they can basically utilize anything available to them “under the Friday the 13th umbrella.”

“A24 and Marc Toberoff, who is Victor Miller’s lawyer, have beautifully and excruciatingly assembled all of the Friday the 13th rights. As a streaming series, we have the rights to do everything underneath the Friday the 13th umbrella.” Fuller confirmed.

“The movie rights are a completely different thing. They are tied up at New Line and are super, super messy and probably won’t be untangled anytime soon, but as far as us chickens in the television industry, uh, roost, we have access to anything and everything that Friday the 13th has done up until this point.”

Interestingly, Fuller also described the show as a “pre-remake-uel series,” though he declined to elaborate.

Kane shared the following statement when he took over as showrunner.

“From the moment I watched Jason Voorhees squeeze a guy’s eyeball out of its socket (in glorious 3D!) at the tender age of 8 years old, I knew my creative path was someday destined to converge with The Man Behind The Mask. Nothing defined my childhood more than growing up in the golden age of the slasher flick, and nothing’s defined the genre more than Friday the 13th. I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to contribute a chapter to this iconic franchise, particularly with such fearless partners as Peacock and A24.”

We’re still not sure what to expect from Crystal Lake (a bunch of camp counsellors ignoring a young Jason until he drowns and his mother plots her revenge?), but at least we know that they can build towards the unstoppable masked maniac getting axe-y with a bunch of teens after paying a visit to his favourite sporting goods store.

Fuller will also serve as showrunner and executive producer. Victor Miller, who wrote the first movie, will executive produce along with Marc Toberoff, Rob Barsamian, and A24.

“It’s not one size fits all”

There’s no manual on how to parent, but doing what’s right for your mental health, body and baby is most important – and you know your baby best.

Ashley understands this from personal experience – some people didn’t react well when she breastfed Alfie as part of a live segment on Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine show. But she defends her right to be public about breastfeeding and argues that all mothers should feel safe in their choices.

“I did breastfeed, and I got criticism for that. It’s just knowing that no one can judge you because no one knows your circumstances, and no one knows your baby – there are things I did with Alf that didn’t work for Ada and vice versa. It’s not one size fits all.”

Ashley encourages parents by saying, “I think, in terms of mental health, it’s doing what’s right for you and, of course, carving out time for yourself is important, but sometimes it’s not possible.

“Just know that it will pass and it’s not forever and don’t be afraid to ask for help.”

Tuning out the noise can be hard, but, ultimately, you know what’s best, because nobody knows your baby like you do.

Ashley’s final advice for parents online is to, “Be mindful not to project what has worked for you on to new mums, because everyone will be telling them what works best, and everyone’s experience will be completely different.”

Jenna Bush Hager made her feelings clear when she learned some news about her seven-month-old nephew.

On Monday’s Today With Jenna and Friends, Jenna appeared on the show with her sister, Barbara Bush, who revealed that her son Edward Finn weighs nearly the same as his three-year-old sister Cora Georgia.

“Well, he’s a big guy,” Barbara admitted. “He’s a very big guy. He’s 30 pounds. To put it in context, my three-year-old is 32 pounds. So, he’s large and in charge!”

Jenna then chimed in and made it clear that they do “not want to body shame him”, with Barbara agreeing: “No. He’s perfectly proportionate, and he’s here for the ride.”

According to the World Health Organization, the average seven-month-old boy weighs just over 18 pounds, with the Mayo Clinic stating that babies typically gain weight quickly in the first six months before their weight steadies as they grow older and become more active.

Jenna shared the arrival of Edward last August, posting a photo of herself holding and feeding the newborn with a bottle.

She also shared a second photo of her and Barbara fawning over him, and a third snap showed the little one up close, wrapped in blankets. 

She captioned the photo: “My sissy had a little mister and I fell madly in love with Edward Finn!”

Barbara and her husband, Craig Coyne, are also parents to daughter Cora Georgia, whom they welcomed in September 2021.

When Barbara welcomed her first-born child, her grandparents, former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush, shared the news in a joint statement:

“With full hearts, @laurawbush and I are delighted to announce the birth of our new granddaughter. Barbara gave birth to Cora Georgia Coyne on September 27, 2021, in Maine – not far from our family home where Barbara and Craig were married. Cora is healthy and adorable, and we are proud and grateful.”

Jenna is close with her twin sister, revealing they “talk a lot and communicate almost every single day via text.”

When the duo started writing picture books together, Barbara told The New York Times: “We have a very shared perspective. 

“That differs if you had a sibling who was older than you and thought what you were doing was uncool, etc. We were always in the same stage together. And so, a lot of our communication is through that frame of reference.”

The Today host called having a twin an “unbelievable gift”, adding to Inbound: “Both private moments and then also awkward public ones, to have each other was this unbelievable thing.

“We have seen how it’s made us both much braver in our careers and in our life paths. Having somebody that wants to lift you up, that thinks you’re good enough.”
