Faith Evans is honoring the life and legacy of Voletta Wallace, the mother of The Notorious B.I.G., following the news of her passing at age 72.
Taking to Instagram, Evans shared a heartfelt tribute, recognizing Wallace’s strength, grace, and dedication to preserving Biggie’s legacy after his tragic death in 1997.
“Although words cannot truly capture the incredible impact you have had on all of us, I will always remember your strength, effortless grace, and your commitment to protecting BIG’s legacy,” Evans wrote. “May your spirit live on in the lives you’ve touched and your wisdom continue to be a lesson to us all. Take your well-deserved rest, Ms. Wallace, with BIG once again by your side—until we meet again.”
Wallace, who died of natural causes under hospice care on Feb. 21, played a key role in keeping Biggie’s name alive. She managed his estate—now worth an estimated $160 million—advocated for justice in his murder case, and produced the 2009 biopic Notorious.
Evans and Biggie’s relationship was one of hip-hop’s most well-known love stories. The two met at a Bad Boy Records photoshoot in 1994 and married within a week. They had a son together, Christopher Jordan Wallace Jr., in 1996.

A teenage boy has been arrested almost 800 miles away from the family home where his mother and stepfather were mysteriously found lying dead. At present, officials have not charged Nikita Casap, 17, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, with any crime relating to their deaths.
Casap lived in the home where his stepfather Donald Mayer and mother Tatiana Casap were found dead on Friday February 28. That same day, Casap was charged with operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and a second count of theft of movable property – a gun.
The criminal complaint, amended Tuesday and obtained by The Independent, does not confirm Mayer and Tatiana Casap’s identities. The pair’s relatives confirmed that they were found dead in various statements to local media.
Around 12 hours after the bodies were found, Casap was apprehended in WaKeeney, Kansas, some 800 miles from his home in the Milwaukee suburbs after a traffic stop.
Police were alerted to the family’s home after Mayer’s mother, Judith, requested a welfare check on Friday morning. She said she had not been in contact with her son in weeks and had received a spate of suspicious messages from her son’s phone on February 23.

School authorities were also concerned as the 17-year-old reportedly failed to show up for two weeks before the discovery at his home despite previously having a “perfect school attendance,” stated the complaint.
Mayer’s sister last had contact with him on February 18 when he told her that he had been feeling “pretty sick and was going to take some time off social media.”
At 1.52 p.m. Friday, officials found a woman, believed to be Tatiana, lying on the first floor hallway, with “her face blackened from decomposition [and] dried blood [was present] on the floor around her.”
The boy’s mother was dressed in a jacket but had towels covering her legs and a blanket draped over her body.
Crucially, they observed an exit wound in her back, near her right shoulder, and what appeared to be a bullet hole in the wall next to her body. Her car was noted to not be at the home, while Mayer’s was.
A second body, believed to be Mayer’s was found at around 5 p.m. that day, in the office of the home. The body was described as “a male with a gray beard” who was found with a gunshot wound to his head and covered by a pile of clothing.

Days before the incident, Casap, was spotted by a neighbor driving his stepfather’s Volkswagen Atlas alone. The absence of the families’ “small black dog” was also noted.
After the discovery, Casap’s phone and his mother’s phone were both pinged to Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Advanced location records revealed that Casap’s cell appeared to leave Waukesha, just outside of Milwaukee, on February 24 at around 10 a.m. before it traveled through Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, and finally Wyoming and Colorado.
Only one stop was recorded – The World’s Largest Truckstop in Walcott, Iowa, at 2:25 p.m. on February 24 for just under 30 minutes.
Video surveillance reviewed by the Walcott Iowa Police Department confirmed that the father’s VW Atlas aligned with that timeframe. Casap could be seen driving the vehicle along with the family’s little black dog.
“Based on the defendant’s school photo, Officer Horihan [of Walcott PD] believed the lone occupant of the vehicle was the defendant and he was accompanied by a small black dog, consistent with the dog that was missing from the residence,” stated the criminal complaint.
A police search of the home recovered paperwork confirming that Casap’s stepfather owned a Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum firearm which was not found on the premises.
Police tracked Casap down at around 11:25 p.m. Friday and performed a traffic stop.
This is when they noticed the missing firearm on the passenger side along with the small black dog.
The victims’ driving licenses were also inside the car along with unused ammunition for the weapon and spent shell casings.
Casap has been held in custody and appeared for a court hearing Monday where a warrant for his arrest was announced along with extradition from Kansas back to Wisconsin.
He is scheduled to appear in Trego County District Court in Kansas on the afternoon of March 17 unless Wisconsin authorities pick him up beforehand, stated a court judge via the Monday court hearing.
Lexi was born in the early hours of 30 November 2019 and mother and baby were sent home, to Ms Wilband’s parents’ house, the same day after an uneventful birth.
In February 2020, Ms Wilband moved into a purpose-built council house, with Mr Wheeler initially visiting regularly before moving in during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Ms Clifford told the court that during postpartum visits she had no concerns about Lexi’s health, adding that she was feeding well and gaining weight.
Jane Osborne KC, prosecuting, asked the witness if she had any concerns about the baby’s “presentation or her appearance or the way she interacted with anybody?”
“No,” Ms Clifford replied.
The jury was previously told the two defendants had a history of cocaine abuse.
They were also previously told that Ms Wilband had told Mr Wheeler throughout her pregnancy that he was the biological father, despite this not being the case.

Brian Cox opens up about losing parents at young age
The Succession star Brian Cox is opening up about losing his parents at a young age.
During his regal appearance on the Turning Points podcast, the 78-year-old explained how he lost both his parents ahead of turning 30.
He told Shout hitmaker Lulu that although dealing with the situation alone was very traumatic for him, he didn’t really get the time to grieve their loss.
The actor said, “”It was traumatic, but the interesting thing was, I was fine. It was hell but I was fine. And I knew it was hell, so I didn’t bother, there was no point, what is the point in going oh poor me… I still miss my father to this day, and I still miss my mum, but I never dealt on it and thought oh poor me, because there was no time.”
He elaborated on why he’s grateful to have lost them, adding, “You knew you were on your own so you had to be self-sufficient. It’s a terrible thing to say but I’m actually grateful for it in many ways.
“It’s such a complicated relationship that people have with their parents, they go through love and then hate… I never had that, I just love my mum and dad, and they were great to me.”
For the unversed, the actor shares Margaret and Alan with his former wife Caroline Burt as well as Orson and Torin with Nicole Ansari.
Emergency services were called to Gaer Vale in the early hours of yesterday morning, March 4, over concerns a baby was in ill-health.
Witnesses saw ambulances and police cars attend the scene and say a criminal investigations team remained at the property for hours after emergency services first arrived.
The baby was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but is now stable following treatment from healthcare staff and paramedics.
The 35-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of child neglect and remains in police custody as their investigation continues.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a medical emergency at an address in Gaer Vale, Newport at around 6.30am on Tuesday 4 March.
“Officers and paramedics attended, and a baby was taken to hospital where it remains in a stable condition.
“A 35-year-old man from Blaenavon was arrested on suspicion of child neglect. He remains in custody at this time.”
A grieving family made a harrowing statement about the treatment their father received at University Hospital Waterford (UHW).
The family were attending the inquest into their father’s death, which took place at Waterford Courthouse, and was presided over by county coroner John P. Goff.
One family member said: “It is a system that appears to be broken.”
In summer 2022, the elderly man was admitted to UHW after having suffered a hip fracture. During his time in hospital he aspirated several times and had to be placed on oxygen support.
Consultant orthopaedic surgeon at UHW, Dr Terence Murphy gave his witness statement at the inquest, describing the treatment that the man received at the hospital.
The inquest heard that the patient had contracted Covid-19, a detail that was initially missed on his X-Ray. The family received an apology for the omission the following day. Their father passed away soon afterwards. It was unclear when he may have contracted the virus. The cause of death was diffuse lung injury with a background of severe Covid-19.
After the doctor’s submission, the family of the man stated in court: “Our father received extremely poor care at UHW.”
They explained that upon hearing that their father was being admitted to UHW, they all worried because of the hospital’s ‘reputation’.
‘Clearly flustered’
One family member said that when they came to see their father in hospital, he saw a security guard sat near his father ‘on his phone’. Another member of the family spoke of finding vomit on their father’s chest. Upon asking for help for their father, they were referred to a junior doctor who appeared “clearly flustered” and “unsure what to do”, according to the family’s statement. They asked about the sedatives given to their father, and whether it was “common practice” as the patient was over 65 and had aspirated twice.
Dr Murphy commented that when a patient suffers a hip fracture, being moved into a new environment can be a “delirious” experience for them.
Addressing the family, Mr Goff said: “You obviously had a very distressing time at the hospital. Without putting the blame on anyone, we’ll find out what lessons can be learned from this.”

“If they are near to the crematorium around Mother’s Day, anyone and everyone is welcome to visit for a peaceful period of reflection and remembrance.
“Mother’s Day is one of those annual occasions when a loss can be felt more and we want to ensure people know that they are very welcome to take comfort in paying tribute to their loved ones at our crematorium.
“It can equally be a particularly difficult time for mothers who are bereaved of a child, and they are also extremely welcome to visit us.”

Cindy Anthony, Casey Anthony’s mother, has a panic attack while discussing the case of her granddaughter’s 2008 murder in A&E’s new TV special, “Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test.”
The former attorney for the parents of “America’s most hated mom,” Casey Anthony, slammed her new TikTok series where she claims she will discuss legal issues and “advocate” for her daughter, Caylee, whom she was accused of killing in 2008.
Brad Conway represented Cindy and George Anthony after Caylee, 2, was found dead in Florida in 2008. Anthony was accused of killing her daughter, but blamed her parents for Caylee’s death.
“For those of you who don’t know, my name is Casey Anthony,” Anthony said in her first TikTok video. “My daughter is Caylee Anthony. My parents are George and Cindy Anthony. This is not about them. This is not in response to anything that they have said or done.… The whole point of this is for me to begin to reintroduce myself.”
Conway told NewsNation that Anthony opining on TikTok and Substack is a stunt and for “attention and money.”

“She talks about wanting to be a legal advocate, about using her infamy, you know, to help others. You know, poor Casey, you know, rising above the ashes to help other people. But that’s not at all what it’s about, because there she is talking about George and Cindy and Caylee. And that’s the hook for people,” Conway said.
Anthony, now 38, was accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter in 2008 but has alleged that her father is the real perpetrator.
“People want to know what really happened to Caylee Anthony, and they want to know,” Conway said. “She blamed her father, criminally, implicated him in the death of her daughter, and so she says it’s not about them, but she makes sure to let you know that she might address it anyway, and that’s what brings people in, because that’s what they want to know.”

A jury found Anthony guilty of lying to law enforcement but not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter and aggravated child abuse after a monthlong trial in 2011. Caylee’s death remains unsolved.
During her first TikTok video, Anthony said people will be able to email her directly about “legal issues” via her Substack, where she frequently publishes blog posts. Anthony added that she decided to start the new video series after people “close to” her were “targeted and attacked recently.”
“As a proponent for the LGBTQ community, for our legal community, women’s rights, I feel that it’s important that I use this platform that was thrust upon me and now look at as a blessing as opposed to the curse that it has been since 2008,” Anthony said.
“I am proverbially standing in the light, embracing this piece, still going to keep my privacy intact… and I will explain in great detail why it’s so important for people to protect their privacy.… With the current climate in our country especially, it’s that much more important.”
Conway added that “hiring Casey Anthony to give you legal advice or be your legal advocate is like punching a hole in your boat to get a better breeze.”
“There are hordes, leagues of lawyers and wonderful advocates out there to help this community. Casey Anthony is not one of them. They don’t need her,” Conway said.
