  • Soothing Words After Losing A Loved One

I stood by your bed last night; I came to have a peep.

I could see that you were crying you found it hard to sleep.

I spoke to you softly as you brushed away a tear,

    “It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.”

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,

You were thinking of the many things and memories of me.

I was with you at the shops today; your arms were getting sore.

I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today; you tend it with such care.

I want to re-assure you, that I’m not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.

I gently put my hand on you; I smiled and said, “it’s me.”

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.

I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.

It’s possible for me, to be so near you everyday.

To say to you with certainty, “I never went away.”

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew…

in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over… I smile and watch you yawning

and say “good-night, God bless, I’ll see you in the morning.”

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,

I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand, side by side.

I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.

Be patient, live your journey out…then come home to me.

  • 13 Reasons Why Should Be Banned

The Netflix series 13 Reasons Why is causing heated debates over the rape scene of Tyler.

In the episode Tyler is attacked in the boys bathroom and is raped with a broom handle.

Kirsty Dawn said ” I don’t understand how they can air that, it is very disturbing and as the series is aimed at teenagers I personally think is sick, the creators should be ashamed of themselves, and it should be banned”.

Carrie Chapel disagrees “YES what happened on the last episode was graphic.

BUT everyone is kicking off, saying it should be cut off and no more seasons because of that 1 mins and few seconds of that bit.

I didn’t see anyone going to this limit when it showed you Hannah been sexually assaulted in the hot tub…

So why because it’s happening to a man? What’s the difference, why shouldn’t it be shown and spoken about?

I honestly just can’t get my head around it, it’s bringing awareness that it DOES happen to men more than anyone even realises not just women and it shows that things affect your life in so many different ways!

People need to realise rape is fucking RAPE and is totally disgusting and not acceptable no matter what sex you are!”.

What are your vies should there be a third season? Did the writers go too far? or do you feel it is raising awareness of male rape?

Approximately 85,000 women and 12,000 men are raped in England and Wales alone every year; that’s roughly 11 rapes (of adults alone) every hour. These figures include assaults by penetration and attempts, In 2012-13, 22,654 sexual offences against under-18s were reported to police in England and Wales, Only around 15% of those who experience sexual violence choose to report to the police.

Approximately 90% of those who are raped know the perpetrator prior to the offence.

These figures come from An Overview of Sexual Offending in England and Wales, the first ever joint official statistics bulletin on sexual violence released by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), Office for National Statistics (ONS) and Home Office in January 2013.

  • I Knew It Was Going To Happen I Came Last In The Charity Race

I knew it was going to happen.

I knew I was going to come last in the charity race.

I thought I was prepared for it.

    But I wasn’t.

There is nothing wrong with coming last.

    There really isn’t.

Unfortunately someone has to do it.

    Each lap I cried.

    10 fucking laps.

I cried because people had to pity clap me.

I cried because people had to wait until I was finished so they could pack up & go home.

They didn’t want to hang around waiting for me.

They wanted to do their own thing.

    Be with their family.

Not watch some fat girl running.

    Eventually I finished.

Everyone packed up & went home.

I cried & cried & cried in the car on the way home.

    I cried to my husband.

    I cried myself to sleep.

I woke up & felt ok.

    Emotionally okay.

    Physically I’m fucked.

I got on my phone and I saw them.

    All the photos.

    My friends all smiling.

My friends in groups with their medals.

    Where was I?

I’m not in any of them.

    I was still to finish.

    I was still going.

    I missed out.

But then I realised I had FINISHED, I crossed the line, I pushed myself, I may have come last, I may not be in any of the photos, but I carried on regardless, I did not give up, I did not give in, the more I run, the more i force myself to do better, the fitter, thinner and healthier I will become.

Coming last was a great thing because next year I won’t be in the same position, next year I WILL b in all the photos, not as an out of shape, fat, unhealthy woman, but as a woman who has fought to be there.

I did not give up and now I will push myself to do better.

If you are reading this and feel you are unhealthy or over weight do not give up,keep pushing yourself and you will get there.

  • Easy Way To Kill Mosquitoes, Gnats And Horse Flies

You may not be aware of this, How to Kill Mosquitoes, gnats and flies – NOT A JOKE

I can’t wait to try this in the summer it has been a god send! I was at a friend party in her garden the other week, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone, if you have ever been bitten by these little blighter’s you will know how annoying the itch is, and the temptation not to scratch is unbearable.  An insect bite or sting often causes a small, red lump on the skin, which may be painful and itchy, Mosquitoes don’t cause major harm in the UK, but in some parts of the world they can spread serious illnesses such as malaria

My good friend Paul who was hosting the party  sprayed the grass and patio with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared.

Yesterday I filled an empty spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes, gnats and even flies. And voila! That worked as well.. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children’s swing area, and the standing water nearby. During the summer, I won’t be leaving the house without my trusty spray bottle of minty fresh Listerine.

If you are bitten by an insect bite the https://www.nhs.uk has said:

If you have troublesome symptoms after an insect bite or sting, the following treatments may help:

    • For pain or discomfort – take over-the-counter painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen (children under 16 years of age shouldn’t be given aspirin).

    • For itching – ask your pharmacist about over-the-counter treatments, including crotamiton cream or lotion, hydrocortisone cream or ointment and antihistamine tablets.

    • For swelling – try regularly applying a cold compress or ice pack to the affected area, or ask your pharmacist about treatments such as antihistamine tablets.

See your GP if these treatments don’t help. They may prescribe stronger medicines such as steroid tablets.

  • Serious Tampon Warning Woman Take Note

Kristina Makris has taken to Facebook to warn woman about the risks involved when using tampons.

Makris said “5 months ago this was me in ICU because of a Tampon. I almost lost my life. It brings me to tears looking at this picture but I’m writing this to help people understand the risks of Tampons.

If you are a guy reading this please continue because you may have a sister or daughter that could use some guidance. When I was younger I would read the back of the tampon box about risks of TSS and thought 🤔 I’m invincible that would never happen to me. Well I was terribly wrong.

At 32 years young I almost died. There is not enough awareness about the risks of wearing a tampon. No, I never left it in more than 6-8 hours. Super absorbency Tampons put you at a higher risk. What happens is the fibers start to develop bacteria then turns into a staff infection and the infection travels to your blood and then to your organs and that’s when your body starts shutting down. (I went septic)

After my last period I started feeling under the weather. I just didn’t feel well. I could tell my body was trying to fight something. Then I developed a swollen lymph node on my left groin. (I thought it was a pulled groin) I felt I was getting a cold and everyday got worse and worse. This went on for 2 weeks. Monday, January 15th is the day I woke up and it all hit me.

Flu like symptoms. Fever, chills, vomiting and a rash developed on my Left inner thigh. I had just moved back home to my parents a week prior and If it wasn’t for my mom, I would not be here writing this post. The doctors told me if I didn’t come when I did I either would have lost limbs or worse… died.

I had surgery on my inner thigh where the infection localized. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks being pumped 24/7 with 2 kinds of antibiotics. I was pumped with bags and bags of fluid to raise my blood pressure that I had gained 30 pounds of fluid. After a week of being bedridden I finally looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize myself. When I was finally sent home the fight wasn’t over.

I had an iv attached to my arm 24/7 pumping me with antibiotics along with a wound vac attached to my inner thigh 24/7. It took 3 months to physically get back to my normal life. Mentally I’m still struggling with the trauma. I’m not super vocal when it comes to the mental part but I really just want women to understand that this all happened from a fucking TAMPON.

And if I could save someone from having to go through what I went through I will vocalize any time for anyone who wants to hear. PLEASE TAG your friends, daughters, nieces anyone who could use some awareness on this. Much love 💗 Thank you for reading 🙏🏼 please share this post and raise awareness.

  • Breast Is Best Even Dads Can Do It

Breast is best we are all aware of the benefits of breastfeeding and more woman are doing just that, including extended feeding, all over the internet and the television are people promoting breastfeeding and explaining the benefits of doing so, Breast milk contains antibodies that help your baby fight off viruses and bacteria. Breastfeeding lowers your baby’s risk of having asthma or allergies. Plus, babies who are breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months, without any formula, have fewer ear infections, respiratory illnesses, and bouts of diarrhea.

But there are some dads out there who are using their own nipples to comfort a crying baby, and people are arguing over this.

One mum who wishes to stay anonymous told us ” I personally think men who use nipples to comfort a baby are sick in the head what on earth is wrong with just using a dummy, using your hairy arse nipples is bloody gross, and if you think it is normal you really need to seek mental help”

Val Mitchell however doesn’t agree with the above lady , Val said “What a wonderful idea, dads will gain such a great bond with their precious baby, it’s cheaper than a dummy and when the mum is out the babby still feels the warmth of a body, hears the beat of a heart and has the comfort of the nipple, I wish my husband had done this when mine were small, it would have given me so much more freedom to go out and do a shop or pop and see a friend, my daughter Poppy would only take comfort from nipples so my husband couldn’t stay home alone with our daughter for long”.

What are your thoughts do you think men using their nipples to comfort a baby is okay or just plain wrong? Let us know your thoughts in the comments

  • Microchip/Scanning Issue You Need To Be Aware of

    ❌Microchip/scanning information❌

❗To clarify, I can only pass on the information which I was given & have shared in absolute good faith. Others state scanning chips more frequently makes no difference, please decide for yourselves. What IS very clear, is that there is a problem with the general microchip/scanning process as a whole❗

Whilst we are all absolutely delighted that Sprocket has at last been reunited, the revelation yesterday that her microchip had been missed by several separate agencies, has set alarm bells ringing. Sprocket could have been reunited some 2 weeks beforehand had her chip been located in the first place. The possibility of her chip never having been found, resulting in a rehoming situation, or worse, doesn’t bear thinking about.

Coincidentally, just before this information had been posted, I had attended a local charity event, where they were offering health checks, health care advise and free microchipping. Such were my concerns regarding seemingly increasing ‘failures’ of microchips, for whatever reason, I raised this with the event organisers. I’M SO GLAD I DID because the reply I got was a vital piece of information that we all need to know.

Apparently, the more you have your dogs chip scanned, the easier it becomes to locate, because the process of scanning effectively activates the chip, which otherwise lays dormant, making it more reliable and easier to locate. I was stunned to learn this.

PLEASE PLEASE bear this in mind and have your dogs scanned at EVERY reasonable opportunity you have. It takes only seconds but could well save your dog’s life 🐶

  • Am I Asking To Much To Be Able To Change My Childs Nappy?

Chris Boneyard Mau has taken to social media to rightfully complain about the lack of changing facilities in the gents toilets.

Chris said “I’m getting pretty sick of having to change my daughter on a disgusting floor because the only changing table in the place is located in the women’s bathroom. It’s crazy to imagine I know but there are guys who take care of their kids too you asshats. If it’s a public place with public restrooms in the generation of equality among genders and races then how about making sure us fathers can change our children’s diapers on a goddamn changing table like the mother’s can. Am I asking too much?

The circumstances of the situation left very little options for privacy, I had taken her for a walk when this happened so there was no car and the only counter space was a 3 inch gap between the 2 sinks”.

Surely there should be changing facilities in all public toilets, there is often changing tables in the disabled toilets but not in all areas, times need to change, men should be able to change their childs nappy in a safe and clean environment.

  • Give Working Mums Support To Pay Child Care For Children Between Birth – 3yrs

Give working mums support to pay child care for children between birth – 3yrs

Why should those who are unemployed be given free child care and not parents who ae already working, now we aren’t against the unemployed but we do not think it is fair parents who have or get a job should not be able to receive free child care places or at least a deduction.

Parents who are already in receipt of free childcare have this taken away if they find a job and earn above a certain threshold.

Two parent families have found that the mum is unable to return to her job as the childcare costs are far too steep, people are not able to better themselves or their child’s life due to the extortionate prices of child care.

One such mum has set up a petition in the hopes that the government may rethink their childcare plan and make changes to help working families.

Sami Austin said on her petition “I am a new working mum and I can not believe how expensive child care is, working on the national minimal wage how are mums able to work to cover child care costs when it takes over 3/4 of their wage. Why penalize the people who WANT to work”.

If you agree with Sami why not sign the petition below
