  • Well She’s Well Behaved For Me

    “She’s such a sweet girl.”
“I promise she’s well behaved when she’s with me.”
“We had a great day. She definitely acts differently when you’re not around.”
Oh sweet child, little do they know.
I get you at your worst.
I get you when the sunny smile that brightened your face just moments ago shifts downward into the deepest scowl.
I get you when your lip starts to quiver and your eyes fill with tears.
I get you when you turn beet red and those splotchy red marks speckle your forehead and neck.
I get you when your fists ball tightly at your sides and your body goes stiff as a board.
I get you when your pint-sized frame hurls itself onto the floor.
I get you when you flail around on the ground, your high-pitched screams piercing the air, and the eardrums of anyone nearby.
I get you when I carry you out of grocery stores, out of restaurants, out of splash pads and playgrounds and parks, out of friends’ houses, out of the car, out of the backyard because it’s time to go inside for dinner.
I get you when I hold you tightly against my body, as you resist me so hard with yours.
I get you at your worst.
I know they stare. I know they talk. I know they judge the pale, sweaty woman wrestling her hysterical child away, hiding tears behind her over-sized sunglasses.
    But here’s the thing, child.
I get you at your worst, because you feel comfortable enough with me to show your true emotions.
I get you at your worst, because you trust me enough not to ever leave you.
I get you at your worst, because you don’t have to pretend with me.
I get you at your worst, because I am your
soft place to land. Your home. Your safe haven.
I get you at your worst, because you know without doubt or hesitation that I will love you no matter what you do.
I get you at your worst, because I am your mother.
Which means that when all is said and done, I don’t worry that you are an angel for other people, but not always for me.
Because when you wrap your arms around my neck and snuggle in my arms,
When in a sea of people you have eyes only for me,
When you turn around for a split second, just to make sure I’m there,
When your smile lights up the room when I walk through the door,
When I’m the first face you see in the morning and the last to kiss you goodnight,
    I know.
I know I get you at your best, too!

  • So This Virus Can Be Killed With Hand Soap

    Not Fatual but Hilarious

So we’re into our 5th month of defeating COVID-19. These words made me laugh 😂 but there’s a lot of truth mixed in to consider. . .

    1. So let me get this straight, there’s no cure for a virus that can be killed by sanitizer and hand soap?
    2. Is it too early to put up the Christmas tree yet? I have run out of things to do.
    3. When this virus thing is over, I still want some of you to stay away from me.
    4. If these last months have taught us anything, it’s that stupidity travels faster than any virus on the planet.
    5. Just wait a second – so what you’re telling me is that my chance of surviving all this is directly linked to the common sense of others? You’re kidding, right?
    6. If you believe all this will end and we will get back to normal just because we reopen everything, raise your hand. Now slap yourself with it.
    7. Another Saturday night in the house and I just realized the trash goes out more than me.
    8. Whoever decided a liquor store is more essential than a hair salon is obviously a bald-headed alcoholic.
    9. Remember when you were little and all your underwear had the days of the week on them. Those would be helpful right now.
    10. The spread of Covid-19 is based on two factors: 1. How dense the population is and 2. How dense the population is.
    11. Remember all those times when you wished the weekend would last forever? Well, wish granted. Happy now?
    12. It may take a village to raise a child, but I swear it’s going to take a whole vineyard to home school one.
    13. Did a big load of pyjamas so I would have enough clean work clothes for this week. 🤣
  • He ate 12 DOSES of Ex-lax.

Oh my God, I have never laughed so fucking hard in my LIFE.

So last night my husband took some Ex-lax. Then this morning, some shit started going down. Like, literally. He looked at the packaging and realized that when it said to eat 1-2 squares, it meant the tiny squares, not an entire block.

He ate 12 DOSES of Ex-lax.

(Husband, baby, I can see where the mistake was made. With that whole block of chocolate wrapped up like one dose, and it flipped backwards like it was, I get it. But good Lord, I can’t even with this.)

So I’m calling Poison Control because he thought he was dying and I literally cannot stop laughing. I’m barely able to talk, I’m laughing so hard. The guy on the other end probably thought it was a prank call. I swear to God, I hope they record their calls and enjoy that one at the staff meeting later because even thinking about me trying to explain that my 39 year old husband just ate a whole brick of Ex-lax is making me wheeze.

The guy was like, “The biggest risks are cramping, dehydration, and diaper rash.”

    Motherfucking DIAPER RASH.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was NOT ready for this dude to come at me with diaper rash. I completely lost it. My husband was so pissed (from the bathroom of course). The Poison Control guy kept chuckling and going, “Oh boy. Oooooooh boy. You’ll need to get some Desitin.”

    DEAD.

I am not equipped to deal with this kind of crisis. I know it could have been super serious, but OMG

And the funniest part of all is he thought he only took a half dose because he only ate one bar 😂😂😂

He’s going to be fine. I’m still crying. I can’t even drink my latte because I keep choking thinking about it and spitting my coffee back into my mug. I had to lay down sideways in a restaurant booth because I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe, three full hours after this happened. I kept clearing my throat on the call with Poison Control like, “Ahem. Okay, I know this is serious. Please continue. AHAHAHAHAHA!!!”

    💀💀💀💀💀💀

He let me share this story. I have no idea why. All I know is it’s a gift to the universe.

  • One Day You’ll Realise

One day you’ll realize you are serving them whole chicken nuggets instead of cutting them each into four pieces.

One day instead of a bath they will want to shower, then you’ll look back and realize their last night time bath was months ago.

One day you will realize that the last night that they slept in their crib was the day before.

One day you’ll realize that their car seat is no longer facing backwards and you don’t need that little rearview mirror on the head rest anymore.

One day you will realize that you haven’t given them a child proof water bottle in three weeks.

One day you will miss brushing their teeth for them because now they can do it themselves.

One day you will see them take their own seatbelt off and they don’t need your help anymore.

You never know when the last day of a precious phase will be, so embrace having to help them a little more, embrace it taking longer to prepare one of their meals, embrace all the effort it takes to get them in and out of the tub because before you know it that phase will be gone and they will be just a little bit bigger in a little bit more independent 💙

  • A Surprise Twin Waterbirth

    ❤️ A SURPRISE TWIN WATERBIRTH ❤️

    A completely missed twin pregnancy.

Ultrasound did not pick up the other fetus, they only ever heard just one heartbeat and she measured right on track for carrying only 1 baby.

She birthed her first baby in the water and shortly after felt another strong contraction and another ring of fire.

As to which she yelled out “What the fuck?!”

The midwife said “Oh, it’s probably the placenta coming.”

Another midwife said “It’s a water bag, I’ve never seen that before.”

The whole room was in utter shock to see another baby come earthside and born encaul.

The likelihood of another baby hidding in the womb is extremely minuscule, but it happened.

Born at 38 weeks and 4 days, both babies weighed 6lbs 11oz, and both measured 20 inches.

  • Covid 19 Sensor Watching Your Phone

FYI: Do you know that a ” COVID-19 ” sensor has been inserted secretly into every phone. Apparently when every one was having a phone disruption earlier this week, they were adding COVID -19 tracker to our phones
If you have an android phone, go under settings, then look for Google settings and see if it’s there.
If you are using an IPhone, go under settings, privacy, then health, it’s there but not yet functional. The app can notify you if you’ve been near someone that have reported having COVID-19.
Don’t turn it on because you will be tracked everywhere you go but once you update your phone, it will automatically be turned on on our phones.

    Copied from a friend

I checked and it is there but not turned on. This is getting crazy!!!! 🙄

  • Baby Grave Being Vandalised Can You Help?

    Hello everyone!

As some of you may know, I am moving my Son Angel from one cemetery to another. I lost Angel from my waters breaking quite early on. This is  Because every time we go up to visit him, he keeps getting destroyed and vandalised! This happens every two weeks! The people that are vandalising Angel, clearly do not have a heart,   We feel like we have no choice to move him as they vandals will carry on doing this! We are moving him to Tavistock cemetery, which is where I grew up and he won’t be alone as he will be with my Grandad and cousin!

Losing a child is traumatising as it is, let alone having their graves vandalised all the time! If we never move him, he will never be able to rest peacefully.

Could you imagine visiting your child and having the trauma of cleaning up the wreckage they leave behind?

In the photo, as you can see the little Angel statue has had the head and wing broken off, the statue came with the plaque so we were heartbroken when we saw it. This isn’t all the vandals have done. They have broken flower pots, broken off the Concrete heart block and broken little ornaments we use to put down on the grave, which we no longer do because of the vandalism.

So if you can, please donate to help move him! Every little penny will help!
thank you so much from Lauren Grylls, Jaydan Walsh and Family!
