  • Football Mums Wouldn’t Have It Any Other Way

    If your child is currently in or has even been in a football team you may relate.

    I have two sons Harrison 11 and Elijah 7 both who are in football teams.

    My weekends are no longer my own, we have training on a Friday night and I know some poor parents in other teams train bright and early on a Saturday morning.

    Every Sunday during the coldest months of the year I am forced to get both my boys to matches some being a great distance apart, I often have to plead with other parents to take one for me and then feel immense guilt that I missed their match.

    Now I forgot to mention I have a younger child who hates football, so on a cold Sunday morning I stand in the middle of a muddy field with my daughter moaning she is cold and bored and now been forced to get her expensive horse riding lessons as compensation.

    My boys NEED not want but need the latest football boots, there are subs to pay, coffees to buy and the perk of some venues selling bacon butties, and yearly signing on fees so it can cost a fair bit, sometimes they need sponsors for new kits or want you to help with bake sales or fundraising events.

    Now I’m painting a negative picture here, we love it (ok not my daughter) but I have no interest in football at all but seeing my eldest scoring the winning goal or my middle son making a cracking save is a huge adrenaline rush.

    I become fierce mama at the side of that small football pitch cheering my boys on and root for the entire team, it is a huge commitment but one that is worth while.

    You become a unit, the children become firm friends and the parents support each other and their children.

    So yes it’s cold, yes it’s expensive and takes over your weekends but any proud football mum wouldn’t have it any other way, so if you’re thinking of signing your child up for football be prepared to get cold and wet but feel happy and proud at the same time.

     

     

     

  • Pregnant Women Taking Drugs on the Rise!

    Everyone knows there are certain things you’re not supposed to do during pregnancy; eat raw shellfish, smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or take drugs just to name a few.

    However the amount of women who are smoking marijuana during pregnancy is alarmingly on the rise.

    Reachers have found that from 2009 to 2016, marijuana use rose from 4.2% to 7.1% for all pregnant women. The jump was significantly greater for those under 25 years old with the numbers going from 12.5% to 21.8% among those under age 18 and 9.8% to 19.0% among those 18 to 24 years old.

    While some believe that smoking marijuana during pregnancy can help deal with symptoms such as aches, pains and morning sickness there is no medical research to back this up.

  • How to Find Out Your Baby’s Gender – The Nub Theory Explained

    For as long as people have been having babies parents has been very eager to find out the gender of their baby as soon as possible!

    More often than not you’d have to wait for your 20 week scan to find out this information, if your sonographer is lucky enough to be able to find out for you!

    Perhaps you’ve turned to some old wives tales to try to find out, the old ring over your belly trick or peeing into a cup of bleach! (We really wouldn’t suggest that last one for anyone to try!)

    We’re going to tell you a different way which might be able to tell you the gender of your baby as early as 11 weeks into your pregnancy!

    The Nub Theory has been around for quite a long time now although there is still quite a lot of confusion as to understanding how it actually works.

    The way the Nub Theory works is basically ‘the angle of the dangle’. Between 11 and 14 weeks’ into your pregnancy both baby girls and baby boys have a penis-like protuberance between the legs. While they do seem extremely similar at this point the difference is how you can tell the baby’s gender! It’s all about angle at which they are pointing! The theory goes that boy’s ‘dangle’ will be 30 degrees up relative to the backbone and a girl’s is below 30 degrees.

    Not everyone will be able to use the Nub Theory, it’s all to do with how much your baby wants to co-operate on the day of the scan unfortunately, the foetus must not be curled up, they need to be lying very flat. Also, it must be side on and apparently, it is better if the foetus is right side up.

    Obviously sometimes the babies will fall into a bit of a ‘grey area’ and you’ll be unable to get a definitive answer.

    The further into your pregnancy the more likely you are to be able to use the Nub Theory, if you are scanned at 11 weeks, it can be difficult to tell the difference between the genders. A scan at 12 weeks is around 75% accurate and at 13 weeks it’s closer to 95% accurate.

  • Please Listen Up Men This Could Change Everything

     

    A lot of men wonder why some women during intimacy, have the tendency to cover their faces and say “but turn off the light”.

    Let me answer that question

    Most of the time when women do this is because they feel insecure about their body. As if her body were not beautiful enough! They cover their faces because they do not want to see the man’s reaction to seeing her body completely naked.

    Most men when they have sex with a woman or are going to have, wherever they go, should understand that some women are confused with their body.

    Especially when there are men who make them feel that way, making them think that their body is not enough and lowering their self-esteem, just because they are insecure and selfish themselves.

    The next time you see a woman doing this, kiss her forehead or get close to her ear and whisper that she has an amazing body, hold her and leave sex for later. First give her the assurance that her body is beautiful and thank that woman for allowing that moment to happen and if you do not want to appreciate or value her then dont make her fall in love with you and don’t sleep with her because she simply does not deserve a little man and You do not deserve to be the best of God’s work.

  • Washing Machine Mum At It Again

    Footage  emerged a few years ago of the mum who posted her beautiful Down syndrome son locked in a washing machine.

    The poor boy was locked in

     

    Courtney Stewart was filmed roughly dragging and throwing  her infant son on a children’s bouncy castle.

    When the photo of her son in the washing machine went viral she defended her actions saying it was just a photo opportunity.

    This footage however shows another side of her and makes her story even more worrying.

    Social services investigated her and did say her children were well cared for and safe.

    Courtney appeared on television and defended her actions, saying her son was laughing and happy in the video.

  • Tesco Will Pay The Tampon Tax 

    Tesco is the first store to announce they will be paying the tax on nearly  100 feminine hygiene products.

     Tesco will pay the controversial charge that applies to sanitary products after saying that the cost of buying the products was a “real struggle” for many of its customers.

    Tesco said it will act immediately rather than wait for VAT on products to be scrapped

    Tesco will cut the price of sanitary products by 5 per cent and cover the cost of the “tampon tax” itself, the large supermarket chain has announced.

  • How The Media Twisted A Ladies Story And She Received Death Threats

    Mums advice would like to make a public apology we posted something emailed in under the name of Anna Jeff (it was not her).

    Anna has a tattoo which she had done in her youth.

    You know you’re young and dumb and make mistakes.

    The tattoo shows Mickey Mouse and Minnie Giving oral.

    Anna covers it up as much as she can and plans on having it removed.

    Large media sites and webpages have edited Anna’s words and said that she refuses to cover it up, they have made her out to be some sort of wild child who doesn’t care about what others think.

    Since the tattoo story has gone viral, Anna has been in tears and received death threats. 

    The only truth in the story is she has this tattoo, not that she refuses to cover it up.

    Anna contacted Mums advice and said:

    There was a story on the sun online fb page about a girl with a Disney tattoo. My friend commented about my tattoo and the Sun reached out to me. I did a story for them just telling them about it purely because I’m a Mum I struggle for money and I didn’t realise how much this would all be twisted by other fb pages. I got the tattoo when I was 18 after a night out. I just wanted a tattoo I didn’t care what it was at the time. When I had the tattoo I had no intension of having kids I just wanted to party and have fun and carry on building my career . I then fell pregnant a few months after, no sonny wasn’t planned but he’s my world. Now I have 2 children and my oldest is 4 I’m in the process of trying to get it covered up. But it isn’t cheap and it’s a big tattoo to cover. My kids don’t even know I have the tattoo let alone anyone else’s. The story’s that have been done have been twisted. The truth is I have no body confidence so my body is covered up most the time if I’m boiling hot I will wear a vest top but the straps cover the rude part. So all the abuse and threats are horrific when I’m a innocent 23 year old just trying to be a good Mum to her wonderful children xx

    Mums advice hope Anna can get her cover up and people don’t believe every thing they read.

  • 1 in 20,000 Babies Born With This Condition

    My names jade im 25 and from Stockport and im hoping I can share my sons story in the hope I can spread awarness on congenital heart defects…Last year my world was turned completely upside down when I went for a 20week scan… I lay there on the bed as the sonographer scanned me and with previously having three children I knew it can sometimes take a while but the atmosphere changed in the room… Then I hear the words no mother would want to hear ‘Theres a problem with your baby’s heart, your going to need to see a specialist at a feotal medicine unit at saint Mary’s hospital in Manchester and after several scans my worst nightmare was confirmed… My son got a diagnosis of tetralogy of fallot which occurs in 1 in 20,000 babies born with a Congenital heart defect.


    My son was born by induction and he was bright pink and crying when he was born…

    He went straight down to Neo natal ICU then at four days he was transferred to a different hospital then he got rushed to Alder Hey in Liverpool were he under went emergency open heart surgery his heart then stopped after a cardiac arrest then they managed to save him and put him on life support which was the darkest time ever.. Then he started to go worse and his appendix burst and then he had pro longed bleeding… But from then he has come on strength By strength and surprised so many professionals and consultants… He is my hero.


  • Woman Makes A Vagina 3D Kayak

    Woman Scans Her Vagina and 3D Prints a Kayak Out Of It

    This is Japanese artist Megumi Igarashi, or Rokudenashi-ko, the “Good-for-nothing Girl”


    Currently, she is facing some legal heat for distributing digital files of a kayak shaped like her vagina.

     Prosecutors claim she violated the law “Waisetsu Butsu Hanpu To”, or Distribution of Obscene Objects. Article 175 of the Japanese Penal Code reads “a person who distributes, sells or displays in public an obscene document, drawing or other objects shall be punished by imprisonment with work for not more than 2 years, a fine of not more 2,500,000 yen or a petty fine. The same shall apply to a person who possesses the same with the purpose of sale.”


     Igarashi denied the charges during a court appearance this week and says she’s done nothing wrong in providing the code to 3D print the kayak.
