  • 8 Year Old Biracial Child Hung From A Tree

A  grandmother in America is shaken after learning what happened to her 8 year old grandson.

Lorrie Slattery found out a rope was wrapped around her grandson’s neck before he was allegedly pushed off of a table, leaving him hanging and swinging around from a tree.

Slattery explained that her biracial grandson was playing in a garden when a group of white teens began throwing sticks and rocks at his legs. They were hurling racial slurs at him before the rope from a tire swing ended up wrapped around his neck.

    The grandmother said

“The [teenagers] said, ‘Look at this,’ supposedly putting the rope around their necks. One boy said to [Slattery’s grandson], ‘Let’s do this,’ and then pushed him off the picnic table and hung him.”

There were no adults around when the frightening moment took place, so it is not clear how the rope was placed on his neck.

The bloodied child was flown to hospital for the injuries he suffered from the hanging.

His grandmother said she was told by an interviewer specializing in child abuse that he had swung back and forth three times before he was able to free himself.

    Police are investigating the incident.

The 8-year-old boy was treated and released for the cuts on his neck. He escaped internal injuries from being hung from the rope, for which his family is grateful.

Slattery said: “I think he had a guardian angel.”

  • Are Academy Schools Ruining Children’s Well Being

Are academy schools ruining children’s education and well being?

Many worried parents are branding academy schools as prison camps.

Parents are not happy with the some what strict rules and regimented procedures, teachers, office workers and helpers within the schools are leaving in droves.

So what is so wrong with them?

One academy school lines children up for a uniform inspection before lessons start. Children are to wear the norm, shirt, tie, jumper, grey or black trousers and black shoes, sounds fair enough but the school for 7 to 10 year old is so strict that socks and hair bands are checked.

If a child’s socks are not grey or black the child is placed into isolation, even if the sock is the correct colour but has a small emblem on it this is against the rules.

Hair bands are fine as long as they are the correct shade of blue, bows or coloured hair bands are banned, if a child is seen to be wearing one they must take them out and then spend lunchtime in isolation.

Plain black shoes are to be worn for school and plain black trainers for physical education, any named branded shoes or trainers are prohibited, the likes of clarks, kickers or Nike are allowed as long as there is no logo on the outside of the footwear.

Parents are fuming, many stating that is nearly impossible to meet the requirements.

One mum said  “finding shoes that fit and are comfortable is hard enough but having to find ones with no marking and fit is nearly impossible, I don’t know how a shoe can affect my sons school work, my son shouldn’t be punished for my inability to meet their ridiculous requirements”.

Another academy school is timing children when they get changed for physical education, if a child doesn’t get in to their sports kit within 5 minutes they will lose some of their lunchtime.

One dad expressed his concerns “my daughter is 7, she Is not lazy or slow but has trouble doing buttons, she is a little girl, she really doesn’t need to be punished for struggling”.

Another school has changed the school start time by 15 minutes with only 5 days notice, if children are late they are again put into isolation.

Parents are struggling to get there earlier due to bus times, child care arrangements and transporting other children to separate schools.

What’s your take on academy schools? Does your child attend an academy school if so have you been happy with it so far?

  • The Party Trend Dividing Parents

Tiered birthday parties are the latest trend to sweep school years across the globe.

Seen by some as a way of being inclusive to all kids whilst still allowing children to celebrate their birthday with their closest group of friends, other parents are criticising the trend as ‘mean’ and ‘hurtful’.

    What are tiered birthday parties?

Known also as two-tiered birthday parties, the idea is essentially that a child will invite all of his or her class to their main birthday party, but then at the end of the main event, a much smaller, more select group of children will be invited on for a second celebration too.

Normally a sleepover, or something held at the child’s home, the idea is that where most parents can’t host a whole class in their house, they can still let their child have a birthday event with just their closest friends

So, what’s the problem with tiered birthday parties?

Children’s birthday parties can be controversial enough already. How much do you spend on a child’s birthday gift? Should siblings be invited to the party? Should other parents stay to provide moral support instead of leaving? And the idea of two tiered parties seem to be no exception.

While some parents have defended their decision to throw one, arguing that they wanted to include the whole class in the party but could only safely let their child invite four or five children to stay the night, others have branded the idea as ‘mean-spirited.’

Some mums have expressed that their child would feel they were left out or not as popular if they discovered they were not invited to the VIP after party.

So, what do you think? Do you think tiered birthday parties are cruel? Or just practical for the parents, not personal? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • Mum Puts Child Down For A Nap And Then This Happens

Amber Boone was having a completely normal day when she decided to put her three-year-old daughter, Aubrey, down for a nap.

She didn’t do anything differently than she normally did, and she assumed her daughter was sound asleep in her bedroom. But Amber quickly realized she hadn’t taken account of one of the most important safety features in her home.
Amber’s daughter was in her bedroom on the second floor while Amber went downstairs to work in the house, a few minutes later, she heard a loud banging on her door.
She said, “Next thing I knew my neighbour was banging on my door, and I started to get a little frustrated … I was like ‘who is banging on my door that hard,’ but by the time I even got halfway there, because I was in the kitchen, she stormed in and she said, ‘I think your daughter fell, I think she fell.’”
It was every parent’s worst nightmare. Amber said, I saw her laying on top of the screen in the driveway … My first thing was like running to her and making sure she doesn’t fall asleep, seeing if there’s anything else, making sure she doesn’t move.

Little Aubrey was rushed to the hospital where the doctors discovered she had a fractured skull, lacerated spleen and a swollen-shut bowel. She has mostly recovered from the fall, but Amber said, “Everything has healed other than the skull, that’s going to take time. It’s a bone. They said four to six months that it will heal.”
    The overlooked security

Aubrey, like any other child at that age, loves to climb and explore, so it makes sense that she wanted to open the window and look out to see more. Plus, little kids don’t have great balance at that age, so it’s easy for them to fall.
I was visiting a friend recently who has many children and when we were standing outside the house, I saw one of her kids lean out of a second-floor window — even his torso was out.

    Children like to explore

Once children learn to walk, it takes time to perfect their skills and they eventually learn to climb, kick, jump and run. These abilities make the little munchkins perfect explorers.

When children learn these skills, they often like to feel independent. They like to do things all by themselves — without help from mum and dad. Because of this, these children need constant supervision by a responsible adult.

It’s important to make sure your home is a safe space for your children to explore. Put locks on the cleaning cupboard , cover plugs, put up stair gates and lock your windows. You can never be too careful when it comes to making your house safe. Accidents always happen when things are overlooked.
The idea of danger in babies

Just as their motor skills have to develop, their cognitive skills have to go through that process as well.
Small children’s brains take a while to develop, and babies and some toddlers don’t have the concept of danger. This is why they often have accidents, so it’s important to keep them safe.

    Reduce the chances of accidents

Helping your child have a concept of the word “no” will help you prevent accidents. It takes time, patience and intervention, but it’s so worth it. Sometimes, you have to say it over and over until your children understand.

    Some handy tips:

Visual contact: When talking to the child, crouch down to their height and make eye contact.

Don’t shout: When your children are in danger or doing something they’re not supposed to, your first reaction is to shout. This will only frighten them.

Baby-proof your house: We already talked about this earlier, but make sure all accessible areas in your home are safe for children to explore.

Use your words: You might want to hit your child, but refrain from the temptation. Just take a deep breath and say “NO.”

Your kids will have accidents — it’s inevitable. Make sure you follow these guidelines to teach your kids and lower the risk of something terrible happening.

  • Shocking And Sad Reason Bride Doesn’t Show Up For Her Own Wedding

When Terry Apudo didn’t show up to church for her own wedding, her family and friends immediately knew something was very wrong.

But the real reason for Terry’s absence on such a special day was more terrible than the guests could have ever imagined.

Terry Apudo, was a young female pastor, working in a small church in Nairobi, Kenya.

Her wedding with fiancé Harry Olwande, had been in the works for a long time and the couple were in the middle of preparations for the big day.

As tradition goes, the bride and groom spent the night before the wedding apart.

The next morning, as Terry left her house and walked down the road, she noticed a man sitting on the hood of his car.

She walked past him, but minutes later, the man rushed to her and jumped her from behind.

The man violently grabbed Terry and threw her into the backseat of his car, where two other male accomplices were sitting and waiting for her.

The young pastor was kidnapped on what was to be her wedding day.

“A piece of cloth was stuffed in my mouth. I was kicking and hitting out and trying to scream,” Terry said “When I managed to push the gag out, I screamed, ‘It’s my wedding day!’ That was when I got the first blow. One of the men told me to ‘co-operate or you will die.’”

The nightmare didn’t end there — the horror continued inside the car. Terry continued to tell her story:

“The men took turns to rape me. I felt sure I was going to die, but I was still fighting for my life, so when one of the men took the gag out of my mouth I bit his manhood. He screamed in pain and one of them stabbed me in the stomach. Then they opened the door and threw me out of the moving car.

I was miles from home, outside Nairobi. More than six hours had passed since I had been abducted.

A child saw me being thrown out and called her grandmother. People came running. When the police came they tried to get a pulse, but no one could. Thinking I was dead, they wrapped me in a blanket and started to take me to the mortuary. But on the way there, I choked on the blanket and coughed. The policeman said, ‘She’s alive?’ And he turned the car around and drove me to the biggest government hospital in Kenya.

I arrived in great shock, murmuring incoherently. I was half-naked and covered in blood, and my face was swollen from being punched. But something must have alerted the matron, because she guessed I was a bride. ‘Let’s go around the churches to see if they’re missing a bride,’ she told the nurses.”

“By coincidence, the first church they called at was All Saints Cathedral,” Terry went on to say. “‘Are you missing a bride?” the nurse asked. The minister said, ‘Yes, there was a wedding at 10 o’clock and she didn’t come.’”

When the wedding guests found out the real reason for Terry’s disappearance, people started screaming and crying inside the church.

Terry’s family and her fiancé, Harry, rushed to the hospital immediately. Eventually, Terry was moved to another hospital, where the full degree of her physical injuries had become painfully apparent.

“That was where the doctors stitched me up and gave me some devastating news,” Terry says.

The doctors told Terry that the stab wounds were so deep that she wouldn’t be able to have children.

“I was given the morning-after pill, as well as antiretroviral drugs to protect me from HIV and AIDs. My mind shut down. It refused to accept what had happened.

A few days later, when I was less sedated, I was able to look him [Harry] in the eye. I kept saying sorry. I felt like I had let him down. Some people said it was my own fault for leaving the house in the morning. It was really hurtful, but my family and Harry supported me.”

Despite everything, Harry still wanted to marry Terry — the love of his life.

The ceremony took place in July 2005, seven months after their first planned wedding.

At last they stood at the altar together and were able to celebrate and display their love for one another.

Everything seemed to be taking a turn for the better, but destiny sometimes works in mysterious ways.

Only 29 days after they finally got married, another catastrophe occurred.

During a very cold night, Harry decided to warm the house with the couple’s little charcoal stove, which was usually used outdoors for cooking.

Unfortunately, the couple fell asleep when the heat started spreading in the room. When Terry woke up a short while later, she realized something was not right.

She was dizzy and couldn’t get out of bed. With the little strength she had left, she managed to reach the phone next to her bed to call the neighbors for help.

Right after that phone call — she lost consciousness.

Terry was able to be rescued in the very last moment, but sadly, it was too late for Harry. He died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Terry went into a state of depression so bad that she shut herself off from the outside world.

The only visitor she would receive was a pastor named Tonny Gobanga. He regularly visited Terry at her home, so she could talk to him about the pain that had gotten stuck deep in her soul.

Tonny’s warmth and compassion gave Terry new life and helped to slowly mend her broken heart.

Eventually, with time, the two fell in love.

“Tonny proposed marriage but I told him to buy a magazine, read my story and tell me if he still loved me. He came back and said he still wanted to marry me.

But I said, ‘Listen, there’s another thing — I can’t have children, so I cannot get married to you.’

‘Children are a gift from God,’ he said. ‘If we get them, Amen. If not, I will have more time to love you.’”

Three years after her marriage with Harry, Terry once again walked down the aisle, this time with Tonny, who had given her the will to live again.

Sadly, her life looked like it was taking another dark turn — one year after her second wedding, Terry felt very sick.

“I felt unwell and went to the doctor,” she says. “And to my great surprise, he told me that I was pregnant.”

Terry’s pregnancy went smoothly. Contrary to the doctors’ words, Terry seemed to be completely capable of giving birth without any complications.

The joy that Terry and Tonny felt holding their newborn daughter Tehille in their arm was indescribable.

Four years later, the pair welcomed their second miracle — their other daughter Towdah.

The men who tortured and raped Terry were never arrested and brought to justice.

Terry’s full story is documented in her autobiography “Crawling Out of Darkness.”

Today Terry travels with her husband Tonny and gives talks. She speaks about the horrific things she has been through and how she got the strength to pull herself out of the darkness and look at the positive things in life.

She also helps other rape victims and hopes her experiences can inspire them to know that they are not alone.

  • Mum’s Fiancé Asks Her To Give Up The One Thing She Loves Once They Get Married. The Most Shocking Part? She Is Already Considering It

A mum is being slammed by parents around the world after she confessed that she fully plans on giving up her son once she gets married.

As The Sun reports, the mother, who goes by “Feeling Stuck,” wrote into the Dear Wendy column to ask for some advice regarding her predicament.

“I’m a 30-year-old divorcee with a son. I have joint custody with my ex-husband. My boyfriend, who is also divorced, has a daughter who is under the sole custody of his ex-wife. I only get to spend time with my son on alternate weekends and my boyfriend doesn’t see his daughter at all,” the woman begins.

The woman has reportedly been waiting for her boyfriend to propose for quite some time, so when he finally did, she was over the moon.

There’s just one catch: She must give up her son.

“My boyfriend already proposed to me, but, one month after proposing, he wants me to give up seeing my son,” the mum revealed.

As it turns out, Feeling Stuck’s greatest concern in giving up her only child involves her ailing parents, who absolutely adore their grandson.

“I did tell him that my parents want to spend time with my son too and they can only do that on the alternate weekends I see him. He told me that he wants to go overseas to work and meanwhile I can use this period to think about whether I want to give up my son for him,” she writes.

Shockingly enough, the mum is considering her fiancé’s offer and is even thinking about going through with a trial run.

“I have thought of giving up my son after we married, but how am I supposed to answer to my parents? My mother has depression and my father has cancer. I don’t want them to be sad knowing that they will lose a grandson,” the woman continues.

According to the mum, it has been apparent from the beginning that she would one day have to choose between her son and her boyfriend.

“My boyfriend told me when we started dating that he could not accept my son, and I know not all men can. I’m actually prepared to give up my son after marriage, but my boyfriend wants me to do it right now. I want to be with my boyfriend and yet I can’t bear to let my parents feel sad because of their illnesses. I also have a mother’s guilt in me because my son loves me so much. What should I do?” she concluded.

Unsurprisingly, Dear Wendy, as well as hundreds of other commenters on social media, were horrified that a mother would consider going through with such a horrifying plan.

“Shame on you. Are you so lonely and so desperate for a husband that you would cast away your own child? Apparently so. Please, please get yourself to therapy and figure out what the fuck is wrong with you that you would behave in such an appalling, disgraceful way. I’m not even touching on your parents. That you would use them and their illnesses as the main reason to maybe keep seeing your son occasionally speaks volumes. Get help,” Dear Wendy responded, in part.

  • If You Play With Her I’ll Smack You!!!

One mother has taken to Facebook to rant, her child Deon has previously had behaviour issues and struggled to control her anger. How would you react if a child was threatened not to play with your child?

    The mother said
“BE ADULTS NOT A COWERED people seem to have a problem with their children playing with Deon.

I have now been told on a number of occasions of adults threatening their child with physical abuse if they play with her, Deon has had anger issues in the past and she has learned to control her anger and her school would agree before they finished up that they had noticed a big improvement in her behaviour. She is a 7 Year old child that cowardly parents pick on and even sent a letter from angry parents all you are is cowards.

I have now had a child crying scared to go home because she might get slapped for playing with Deon.

I wont stop any child playing with my children even if they have had arguments in the past, they’re kids that’s what kids do and i will contact social workers for the children that are scared as this is not on growing adults picking on children I would approach the adults but I don’t know who they are.

Any issues with my children contact me don’t take it out on your child”.

How would you react in this situation?

Do you stop your child playing with anyone?

If so please let us know in the comments section

  • Life Is To Short To Keep Saying NO

Mum shares a really important message after nearly losing her daughter…

‘Life is way too short to say NO all of the time. This time last year she asked me if she could have pink hair and I said no. A few days later at a camp they were doing a demonstration involving fire and something went wrong and it caught her on fire. She had horrible burns over 70% of her body. This time last year we were in the hospital with her not knowing if she was going to live or not. So this time when she asked me if she could have pink hair, I said yes. That experience taught me you never know how much time you have left, with anyone. So say yes more often, and don’t care if anyone thinks your child with pink hair is ridiculous !! 😍😍🤓🤓 (within reason lol)

  • Parental Alienation Is Killing People

A man named Brick Benn is trying to raise awareness of parental alienation.

    He issued this following statement.

“This post is public so people can share it. This matters, this is happening everywhere every day and some of us just can’t take the pain anymore. We are the victims of parental alienation and our children are victims of some of the most vile, evil and twisted abuse put on them by people who are supposed to love them. This isn’t love.
Last night one of our fellow victims of parental alienation had enough of the lies, the narcissistic ex constantly abusing him and his kids. His name was Bryan Carter.
This story is all too familiar now, unfortunately the media won’t care, his ex is probably celebrating that she has won the “ultimate victory” and drove this man to kill himself.
All he wanted was to see his kids.
Think about that, all he wanted was to see his kids, like somebody actually has the right to stop us from seeing our kids for no other reason than their own self absorbed controlling hate filled games, they don’t have that right.
This is what those games do to men and women everywhere on the globe, every single day, who gives a flying fuck about someone hunting a Lion as if that’s major news, an international disgrace that will cause outrage, and protests so people can feel self righteous, not bashing the Lion, it’s sad that the Lion was hunted but what are we coming to as a society when that is more important than the daily suicide of men because a lying narcissist has stopped us seeing our kids, this happens to some women too but in nowhere near as high levels.
This man deserves to be on the news channels, the reason he and so many other loving fathers kill themselves everyday needs to be exposed, the conversation has to happen, this evil needs to stop.
Parental Alienation is killing loving parents and destroying children’s lives.
Rest In Peace fellow traveller, your struggle is over now.
Evil narcissists beware, let this be a lesson, let us love our kids before you kill more people.
To Bryan’s family I am so sorry for your loss, when the kids grow up I hope they don’t hate him for this, the pain he was feeling was something people can’t understand unless they go through it themselves, I understand.
I hope you all find peace and wish you nothing but support and strength in this hard time.
