No job, no title, no importance, no status. ‘Just a mum’
Mothering is a long hard game.
It is more than ok to take a break sometimes.
When I had my first child I quickly realised that people treated stay at home mums differently than a working mama.
No job, no title, no importance, no status. ‘Just a mum’.
Long wonderful days of coffee and cake, and friends and cuddles.
Nevermind the non-stop changes of clothes, the not eating, the constant thirst, the crying and crying and crying and that’s just you, oh and the utter loneliness, isolation and the feelings of being judged.
Just enjoying the quiet empty days of mothering being both grateful that you are able to be with your baby and watching her grow and sad and confused wondering why it didn’t mention this bit in the books, why did I feel so bored and lonely when I had this amazing little baby.
I felt like If I did have a rare meet up with a friend all I ever spoke about is my child, I mean what else did I have, becoming a mum I lost my identity.
But I made changes, I joined a darts team and play for 2 hours once a week, and sold bows that I made in my spare time its only something small but it breaks up my week and gives me a sense of worth, Set up a little something for yourself, just a little sideline to keep you busy,, to help you stop your brain from spiralling out of control, to stretch your brain, to help you rediscover yourself, to shut up anyone asking what you do all day. But more importantly for you.
I am not saying go out and get a full time job unless that is what your family needs you to do, im saying find something just fo you, something that gets you thinking, or at least talking to other adults that isn’t your partner.

I’m A Mum Who Doesn’t Like Children
Anyone else a Mum that does not really like kids? Everyone falls over in shock when I say this, so let me clarify.
I love my three kids dearly, and a handful of my friend’s kids, but as a general rule, no, I do not really like children.
Having extra kids over my house stresses me out. They are super needy, messy and get on my nerves the entire time, it seems to me that other people’s children seem to be louder, ruder and far more annoying than my own flesh and blood.
I prefer the company of adults. I love mine and I enjoy watching them grow up, but I can also tell them when they are being little assholes and to knock it off. I can’t tell your kids that, also my kids know my look, you know the special mum look that says pack it in or you’re in trouble.
I do not have sympathy for the mother whose child is having a tantrum in the shop, I tend to tut and move away, I do not judge the mothers parenting but my god are the screams of your damn child annoying, please take it home.
When I dine out I pick a table as far away from children as possible and will happily move tables if a young family sits near by.
It’s not that I hate children, I just don’t want to look after others kids or spend any time with them, I do not coo over babies and don’t find it cute or funny when a child pulls a face at me.
Surely I cannot be the only mum who only likes their own children, I love my trio and enjoy watching them grow, but keep your kids away from me, thanks very much

My Wife Beats Me, I’m Afraid I’m Going To Hurt Her
My wife beats me
My wife beats me and I’m afraid I’m going to hurt her. I love my wife dearly and want to fix our marriage but I’m afraid of what might happen. I’m 6ft 2in 210lbs I bench 300lbs with ease and my wife is about 5ft 9 and 125lbs.
We have our good and our bad days but on our worse days which happen more often than not lately she hits me . I have never hit my wife in an abusive way, but I’m afraid that eventually I won’t be able to control my anger when she hits me and I’ll end up seriously hurting her.
I am a man I should not be scared of my wife, I cannot talk to my friends or family about it , surely they would laugh in my face, a grown man being battered by his woman.
The above is what I wrote into Mums advice Facebook page after a rather nasty incident with her, she had poured boiling water on to my lap, it took all my strength not to punch her in the throat.
Little did I know that woman would rally round me and tell me that I am not weak, that I am not worthless, that actually I am really strong for having the strength not to hurt her back. I spoke with many woman that night and through their words I saw my relationship for what it was.
I am now free from abuse but this isn’t actually about me this is about you, you the man being humiliated, the man being hurt or you the woman who loses her temper and throws a punch knowing full well your man won’t strike back.
I urge any man or woman who is in a violent or belittling relationship to get out or get help, do not let the words or actions bring you down.

Man Wants To Bury His Car For The Best Reasons
PURE GENIUS!!!
One of the richest and most powerful men in Brazil, Thane Chiquinho Scarpa, made waves when he announced plans to bury his million-dollar Bentley, so he could drive around his afterlife in style. He received lots of media attention, mostly negative and was severely criticized for the extravagant gesture and wasting of a precious commodity. Why wouldn’t he donate the car to charity? How out of touch with reality is this guy? He still went ahead with the ceremony.
But, there’s a twist. (Of course there is. Why else would I be covering this story?)
Moments before lowering the car in the ground prepared for the burial of his Bentley, he declared that he wouldn’t bury his car and then revealed his genuine motive for the drama: Just to create awareness for organ donation.
“People condemn me because I wanted to bury a million dollar Bentley, in fact most people bury something a lot more valuable than my car,” Scarpa said during a speech at the ceremony. “They bury hearts, livers, lungs, eyes, kidneys. This is absurd. So many people waiting for a transplant and you bury your healthy organs that could save so many lives!”
Worth a thought !!
Anyone can register to donate their organs and tissue when they die, regardless of their age or medical conditions. To ensure that all donated organs are safe, the donor’s medical and lifestyle history is assessed at the time of donation.
Becoming an organ donor only takes a few minutes if you register online, but can bring a lifetime of health and happiness to those who are waiting for a transplant.
Your family will be asked to support organ donation if, when you die, you are in a position to donate your organs. So make sure you tell them you want to be an organ donor too.
Sadly, around three people every day die in need of an organ transplant

If Your Nails Look Like This It Is A Warning Sign
##awareness#
2 weeks ago i posted this pic on my wall asking if anyone had seen nails like this. A few google post later and i was urged to go to the Doctor. A tad extreme I thought….
I was rushed for blood tests and a chest x-ray, 2 days later I got a phone call to go for a CT scan, 2 days later a PET scan and more blood test, the day later a breathing test on my lungs and a scan on my heart, the day later an MRI scan then a lung biopsy.
After a gruelling 2 weeks, yesterday I got my results…….Cancer in both my lungs !!!!.
When your nails curve it is often linked to heart and lung disease and its official term is ” clubbing” I had no idea….Did You ????
Hope this post can help someone else in the early stages of cancer.
Big shout out to the NHS you have been excellent and I thank all the staff that have dealt with my diagnosis.
Written by JeanJeannie Williams Taylor
Nail clubbing, also known as digital clubbing, is a deformity of the finger or toe nails associated with a number of diseases, mostly of the heart and lungs. Clubbing for no obvious reason can also occur, but is rare, if you think you may have clubbing of the finger or toe nails please see your doctor or other medical professionals. More than 80% of lung cancer patients will survive for at least a year if diagnosed at the earliest stage compared to around 15% for people diagnosed with the most advanced stage of disease

It’s Perfectly Ok For Your Baby To Feed More Often
I really wish that all new mothers were told that the majority of newborns want to breastfeed much more frequently than every few hours. And many even want to stay latched on, suckling for extended periods of time. This can understandably shake a new mother’s confidence and make her second guess if she’s producing enough milk to keep her nursling satisfied. Women are usually just told that their baby should nurse ‘every 2-3 hours’, but frequent (and lengthy) nursing is a totally normal thing for newborns to do! It helps keep them close to mama while regulating her milk supply.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Often babies won’t have these longer stretches between feeds until they’re a little older. Even then, there are several things that could make them want to nurse more, including (but not limited to) teething, sickness, unfamiliar surroundings, or feeling tired. I can’t imagine how miserable it would be to have a fussy baby in your arms but feel like you shouldn’t breastfeed again because it’s “not time yet”.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This isn’t discussed often enough and new mothers need to be reassured. If baby is gaining weight, then there’s absolutely nothing wrong with breastfeeding more often than what you’ve been told is ‘normal’. The postpartum period is all about surrendering, so cozy up with your babe and forget the clock.

Halloween Sweets, Warning To Parents
This post is not for attention it’s for safety!!!!
I Didn’t really want to put this on Facebook or other media outlets but after what I went through today I never want any parent to ever have to go through what I did , you think giving your child a lollipop is ok you don’t really second think it, well please do!! tonight my wee ariah was eating a lollipop minding her own business sitting watching tv and in a second she got of the couch and flung herself to the floor and luckily I saw what was happening in so much silence.

Halloween Sweets, Warning To Parents She was struggling to breathe her skin colour started to change! this lollipop had come off of the stick and got stuck in the back of her throat and for about 3/4minutes I had the worst thoughts going round in my head, luckily I got the lolly free but please do not give your child these lollipops! Wee ariah is on 24hr call for look out for ABC,
you never think it’ll happen to your child but tonight it did to mine! I had potentially saved my little girls life Full credit Shannon McWilliams
It is advised to always supervise children when they are eating anything, always ensure Halloween sweets or any treats are kept out of a childs reach and only eaten when you are able to be with them.

Boyfriend Wants Us To Be Poly-Advice Needed
Boyfriend wants to be poly because he already has feeling for someone else. We just had a baby.
My boyfriend and I have been a monogamous couple for 12 years. I knew that he was interested in polygamous but he never pursued it because I did not think I would be able to cope with all my insecurities.
Last month my boyfriend told me that he has develop some strong feelings for a coworker (his employee actually) and he did not want to dismiss them this time.
surprisingly, I reacted rather well. I know that he loves me and that he doesn’t want to hurt me. I do not feel that my relationship is threatened by this other woman. He is my best friend and the love of my life. I want him to be happy and I will try very hard to accept his other girlfriend. I have already read some literature on the subject that helped me grow a lot. We are working hard on my insecurities.
The thing is we just had a baby, she is 5 months old.
We talk a lot about agreements that I would feel comfortable with. He can see her 2 nights per week and lunch with her once a week.
I do want to be the strong and positive woman but I can’t help but feel betrayed and abandoned when I am home taking care of our baby girl while he is out having fun and intimate moments with his other girlfriend. Will this feeling ever go away?! Should I work on that or is it normal to feel this way?
I feel the situation is really unfair because I too would like to go out and meet new people but it is actually impossible with our baby right now. I feel like I would like for him to wait untill our daughter is older so I can have more freedom. But at the same time, he already has feeling for someone and I would feel bad asking him to end it.
Also, I feel ashamed the way our polygamous adventure began because it feels as though he forced it on me at a very bad timing in our life.
I have no one in my entourage to speak to who I feel won’t judge us.

Gassed Whilst Asleep In Their Cabs
A Warning to Raise awareness “
Gassed while asleep in their cabs !!
A heavy goods vehicle driver Mark George would like to raise awareness to a problem that is on the increase across the county and beyond, after a truck/ trailer was targeted by thieves on the M1.
This is happening very regularly these days we are paying per night between £27 and £30 to park the trucks up in services with no security at all and putting our lives at risk.
Some companies won’t pay for this and you have to park in a lay by or a industrial estate with no toilet or nothing to use. I feel that the local authority should be doing more and also the motorway services should also be stepping up to the plate I’ve known drivers being gassed while they are asleep in there cabs while there load is being stolen .
In this latest case they have taken a full load of high end products which consisted of 26 pallets and every one has been stolen overnight.
It happened at the Woolley Edge services near to Sheffield.
Grimsby Immingham and Scunthorpe have had a huge increase to theft from trailers recently. What is the answer to this ongoing problem.
Full credit Mark George.
