  • I Fed My Daughters Penis For Dinner

A mum took to a social media site to make a tongue in cheek confession.

    The mum said:

“Oh gosh, this is hilarious 🤣🤣

“Okay so the Mum of the Year award most definitely does not go to me today.. šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøWandered into the market and Ava begged me for some ā€œsmiley faceā€ pasta she saw. So I bought it, cooked it for the girls for lunch today..

Thought it looked a bit odd, re-looked at the bag and IT’S ONLY BLOODY PENIS PASTA😩 How could I not even realise even while cooking it?!

TheĀ post hasĀ since been shared over ten thousand times and many other mums confessed to the strangest things they have ever fed their children. Kelly Barnes said ” my daughter wanted jam on toast but we were out so I used strawberry flavoured lube she couldn’t tell the difference, my husband thought it was all kinds of wrong, but she was happy and i thought it was rather ingenious andĀ quick thinking plus I totallyĀ stopped a toddler tantrum from happening at silly o’clock in the morning”. Some parents however didn’t find the penis spaghetti funny and said that it was inappropriate and they would have putĀ it into the bin and cooked something else.

Have you ever fed your children something “inappropriate” if so please let us know in the comments.

  • My Life As A Young Carer- I Still Cry At Night

Soo, sit back and grab your coffee cause this is a quite long story.

My mum was 35 when she had me, who ended up with mental health issues. My sister cared for me, did the night feeds, helped my mum and took me out almost every day there is 14 years between us. As they ( my sisters) got older the caring got more intense. Trying to look after me while my mum was accusing them over every little thing. From trying to kill her to moving stuff to mess with her head.

My sister let’s call her Callie who was 14 years older than me and my other sister let’s call her Ellen who’s 10 years older than me, had her own child at 19 and ended up moving out because of my mums mental illness, my Ellen lived with her dad. From 6 years old I watched my mum smash her house up every weekend, hear she was going to kill her self, that people were trying to kill her, kill us.

From 6 years old I began to look after my mum. Not being able to go out, not being able to leave her side and being scared every single day and night because all I everĀ heard was that people were trying to harm us. She would stop her meds every time she thought she was better. I also got told that I got left with her while she over dosed.

Bad wentĀ to worse. We moved house because of her thinking people were trying to kill her… then what was about to happen next changed our lives. Someone ( who I can’t name) tried to petrol bomb us at just 10 years old I woke up screaming because I thoughtĀ IĀ was going to die.

Every night I couldn’t sleep because I had to make sure my mum was ok, sit at the bottom of the bed so she could nap, not leave the house, not go to school, not leave her side. Help her cook and clean. We eventually got out after she had a ā€˜break down’ as she was admitted to a hospital. For almost a year I didn’t live with my mum.

I went from seeing her every day to thinking she didn’t want me. When she eventually got out, we lived in a flat. Still depressed she would sleep all day so I’d have to clean my own clothes, try make meals ect. Then I slowly started going off the rails… drinking almost every night, drugs. I was 14 screaming for someone to care someone to listen. But no one did.

At the age of 15 I would be drinking so excessively I would be brought home by the police, going through liter bottles of vodka. Then I met my boyfriend, who then I fell pregnant to, at 16. the As I settled down my mums mental health got worse again, blaming my bf for everything that he was trying to kill her. I then had my son.

Yet again bad went to worse. My son was 2 weeks over due. Struggled at birth. Went home the next day, something wasn’t right this wasn’t the baby I had last night… he was just different.

Rang an ambulance and it was almost as if I was getting made a mockery of, no one listened NO ONE. 6 days later after getting called over panicky mum and my mum not wanting to leave me alone with my own child because she thought I couldn’t cope. A midwife that dealt with teenagers came out. I told her how I was feeling. She checked my gorgeous boy and rushed us to icu.

Our son had pneumonia and because it had been left for so long they didn’t know if he’d live cause his lungs were so weak. At 16 I thought my son was going to die. My life was ending. After getting admitted another 2 times after leaving icu for people not listening again. We almost lost him in total of 3 times.

After countless visits to hospital and him being on oxygen for 8 months our baby boy became strong again, while all this was going on we were still getting accused of things, accused of taking my mums meds to mess with her head, trying to kill her. Until one day she tried to act the way she would when I was little. That day I went to leave, she rang the police after trying to beat up my bf and threatened to take my son.

For months she drummed into my head that my bf and his family were going to take my son away. We finally got our own house and left after she tried to start again. She has schizophrenia. Now because of this, I have a mental illness. I’ve got a personality disorder. My son is 3 and I’m now 20, I’m still with my boyfriend. But now I suffer every day with the thought of loosing my son.

That is always there in the back of my mind. I still cry most nights because of the thought of it. I go to play group and explain every single bruise. But guess what I’ve made it. I’m in a healthy environment now trying to pursue a dress making career. My mum is still poorly but I took a step back after my sister suddenly passed away a year ago. Life does get easier I promise. ā€˜Remember everything will be ok in the end and if it’s not ok, it’s not the end.

  • Popping Pimples/Spots Can Kill You

    Popping pimples/spots is strangly satisfying.
It’s also really popular on social media and Youtube with people watching huge spots being popped and see all the pus oozing out.
But dermatologists say not to engage in at-home pimple extractionā€Šā€”ā€Šbursting your pimples can cause breakouts andĀ scar your skin and scarily it can also killĀ you.
    Wait, what, kill you?
There is a part of your face called the ā€œdanger triangleā€ and poppingĀ spots within it is, can be seriously dangerous. The triangle is the area between the corners of your mouth and the bridge of your noseā€Šā€”ā€Šthis is the area that has your sinuses behind it. It also contains nerves and blood vessels that transport blood to theĀ brain and is unfortunately one of the commonest place to have spots.
So, how can this killĀ you?
If you pop aĀ spot within the danger triangle, the skin can become infected and this infection can permeate these blood vessels. If that happens, the veins that run behind your eye sockets may form a clot to contain the infection. That clot can put pressure on the brain, you kind of need this to live, and can lead to paralysis or evenĀ death.
This condition is called Cavernous Sinus Thrombosis. It kills up to 30%Ā of people who getĀ this condition.
Any spots outside on the danger triangle are A-Okay to pop away (if you don’t mind a scar)
    Can’t stop, won’t stopĀ popping
DermatologistsĀ say that popping pimples within your face’s danger triangle can cause infection, but it’s far more likely you’ll experience facial scarring. In order for the condition to truly kill you, the infection would have to be significant and you would need to purposefully avoid treatingĀ it.

  • Sheep Can Be Dangerous If You’re Pregnant

Pregnant animals, or those that have recently given birth, may carry germs that can harm pregnant women, such as chlamydiosis, listeriosis, Q fever and toxoplasmosis, some may cause still birth, birth defects or other issues.

These infections are rare in humans but, even so, it is still best to avoid any potential danger. This means no petting farms, milking ewes, delivering or being involved with the birthing of lambs, calves or kids.

Possible contaminated materials such as bedding or clothing should be avoided too and contaminated clothes should be washed on a hot cycle, separate from other washing, you can never be too safe, if you do have to come into contact with animals wear protective gloves and an apron and change your clothes as soon as you can and ensure hands are washed throughly especially before eatingĀ .

If pregnant women have had contact with these animals and notice flu-like symptoms, such as a fever, they are being advised to seek medical advice and to state which animals they have been close to and whether or not the animal was pregnant or had just given birth.

Although the number of human pregnancies affected by contact with sheep is extremely small, it is important for pregnant women to avoid close contact with sheep and other livestock that have recently given birth.

We are not trying to scare woman but are simply trying to make pregnant woman of the potential dangers around farm animals.

  • Breast Feeding It Is Hard- It Really Is

“Ok, I’m going to say it for us all. Breastfeeding is hard. It’s really, really hard. Sometimes I can’t even explain what makes it so difficult. The uncertainty, second guessing, responsibility, commitment, discomfort…just to name a few. We trusted our bodies to grow our babies for 9 months and now we have to trust our body to supply the nourishment for our babes growth & development. Talk about pressure😳 Breastfeeding is full of unanswered questions. You truly don’t know what’s going on down there. Too much? Too little? Too intense? Not enough hindmilk? Not enough time? Plugged duct? Mastitis? WTF!!!

As if it wasn’t hard enoughšŸ˜“And of course the biggest way to know if you’re doing well is if the baby is gaining weight…great, let me just whip out my handy dandy baby scalešŸ˜‘..But, even with all of that. We all so desperately want to survive and push through. We so badly want to have our baby thrive. We want that relationship. We want the experience. In the end, fed is best. That’s what matters. But all I know right now is that breastfeeding is hard. I am doing my very best but always have a question in the back of my mind. Always second guessing myself. Always wondering if I’m doing OKAY. I’m determined to tough it out. I want to do this. Mamas really do need all the support they can get. So mama, you’re hearing it from me, you’re not going crazy, it is hard, but you’re doing good. Keep going!! There’s a rumor going around that it gets easier😌”

  • To The Mums Who Judge Any Of These Things

“To the mum who’s breastfeeding: Way to go! It really is an amazing gift to give your baby, for any amount of time that you can manage! You’re a good mum.

To the mum who’s formula feeding: Isn’t science amazing? To think there was a time when a baby with a mother who couldn’t produce enough would suffer, but now? Better living through chemistry! You’re a good mum.

To the cloth bum mum: Fluffy bums are the cutest, and so friendly on the bank account. You’re a good mum.

To the disposableĀ nappy mum: Wow those things hold a lot, and it’s excellent to not worry about leakage and laundry! You’re a good mum.

To the mum who stays home: I can imagine it isn’t easy doing what you do, but to spend those precious years with your babies must be amazing. You’re a good mum.

To the mum who works: It’s wonderful that you’re sticking to your career, you’re a positive role model for your children in so many ways, it’s fantastic. You’re a good mum.

To the mum who had to feed her kids from the drive thru all week because you’re too worn out to cook or go grocery shopping: You’re feeding your kids, and hey, I bet they aren’t complaining! Sometimes sanity can indeed be found in a white bag with a big red chick on it. You’re a good mum.

To the mum who gave her kids a homecooked breakfast lunch and dinner for the past week: Excellent! Good nutrition is important, and they’re learning to enjoy healthy foods at an early age, a boon for the rest of their lives. You’re a good mum.

To the mum with the kids who are sitting quietly and using their manners in the fancy restaurant: Kudos, it takes a lot to maintain order with children in a place where they can’t run around. You’re a good mum.

To the mum with the toddler having a meltdown in the cereal aisle: they always seem to pick the most embarrassing places to lose their minds don’t they? We’ve all been through it. You’re a good mum.

To the mums who judge other mums for ANY of the above?

    Glass houses, friend. Glass houses.”

  • My Baby Nearly Died Because Of An Innocent Childrens Toy

“This is the hardest thing I have ever had to write. It’s long but please read. Especially if you are a parent.

So I’ve just experienced the worst 24 hours of my life. My son Toby yesterday nearly died. They say you can’t watch them 24/7 and how true that is.

Yesterday around lunchtime Toby managed to put something in his mouth and he started to choke. I walked towards Toby and be walked towards me holding his throat and unable to breathe. Whatever it was had become lodged in his throat blocking his airway. I called rich and he came running. An ambulance was called and we started the attempt to save our boys life. We started with back thrusts but the lodged item Wouldn’t budge. Rich attempted to scoop it out but still to no avail. Our friend and colleague Campbell came to assist and rich and him working as a team started performing CPR.

Watching that being performed on your own child is a vision I will never be rid of. He managed only a couple of short laboured breaths and went in and out of consciousness. On two occasions he stopped breathing, his body went limp, eyes in the back of his head. We all thought the worst.

His jaw had locked shut, My limp lifeless boy on the cold kitchen floor. The ambulance crew arrived within 6 minutes and started to attempt to save Toby. He expelled blood from his nose and was blue. Never a sight I ever wish to witness on anybody. I had flashing images throughout it all but never let go of my boy’s hand. I was pulled away at one point but fought my way back to my boy’s side. No matter what outcome he would want his mummy with him.

The paramedics arrived and took control, Rich and Campbell taking it in turns to perform CPR. The crew managed to get his mouth open and get a blade in and engaged the ball enough to scoop it out. There I was thinking my boy had choked on a marble, not a large approx 4cm wide rubber ball. One of those innocent rubber balls you get in party bag favours, they sell in those machines in pubs, they are super bouncy and great fun! I never ever wish to see one of those balls again.

My Baby Nearly Died Because Of An Innocent Childrens Toy
My Baby Nearly Died Because Of An Innocent Childrens Toy

Toby was rushed to hospital as he wasn’t able to breathe on his own. He had X-rays and there was a shadow over one lung. There was now the worry of infection and any life long damage caused due to lack of oxygen to his brain. He was able to, with limited response nod or shake his head. Drifting in and out of sleep. My normal talkative 2.5 year old boy wasn’t talking. He was put on antibiotics straight away. He remained on oxygen for over 12 hours, every time they tried to remove it his little body couldn’t cope. He slept longer than he has ever slept in his life with his mummy watching every breath. His little body struggling to breath like it should. He kept getting a raised temperature, something else to cause more concern. I couldn’t bare watching my boy so helpless.

His big sister brushing her hand across his head, telling him not to put a ball in his mouth. The tears finally started to fall, whilst I bite down on a piece of toast, it’s real. This has really happened to me and my family.

Before daddy went home he perked up just enough to point to a family photo on the phone and name everyone in the photo. Wow those words daddy, mummy, Darcey, toby and bear. The best words in the world.

During the night we managed to remove the oxygen and finally Toby managed to breath on his own, no longer laboured but his chest doing what it needs to do.

After that He slept and he slept, Being checked through the night by the wonderful nurses. That bloody temperature I just wanted it to be back to normal. Finally the sun came up and I was wide awake. Watching my little boy sleep. That temperate checked yet another time, and my prayers finally answered, finally the number 36. Yes Toby you little fighter you body is working as it should. He began talking and he got off the bed looked outside and wanted to go play. The consultant came around this morning and told me how utterly lucky my little boy was. The speedy actions of myself, rich, Campbell and my dad making that call, the paramedics saved my boys life. SAVED MY BOYS LIFE, words are used loosely but my god this time a truer word cannot be spoken. I am the mother of 2 wonderful healthy children x I am blessed and so thankful I cannot express it enough”

  • Why Won’t She Change Her Surname

I need to know if I amĀ in the wrong here, I am pretty sure I am not.

My partner was married for 11 years to the mother of his three children, I met him 2 years after they had split and we are very happy together and I get on really well with his three children there is only one problem, my partners ex-wife!!!

She kept his surname when they split andĀ I didn’t say anything straight away I then asked him why she still had it when they are divorced, he did not answer me.

Since then she has remarried changed her name to her new married name divorced again and gone back to my partners surname.

Am I wrong in asking him to ask her to go to her maiden name and not his name?? We are going through a bad patch on the verge of splitting up as it is. I have to deal with her going to his family parties which I hate and now she has gone back to his name.

We were planning to get married in the next few years but I refuse while she has his name. Surely when u divorce u would go back to your maiden name.

He argues that she mayĀ want the same surnameĀ as their children but this argument is invalid as surely she would have kept that name when she married her last husband, i cannot share the same name as her, especially as she is still unfortunately very much part of our lives.

Everyone I have spoken to says that it is strange or one person commented that her maiden name must be awful to avoid using it again (it’s a pretty normal surname) am I wrong to feel upset and annoyed by this or am I being selfish or unnecessarily annoyed?

  • To The Man Whose Wife Or Partner Has Anxiety

To the man whose wife or partner has anxiety,

You might have heard that she has anxiety from sitting by her side in a doctors office, holding her hands while the tears steam down her face. You might have seen her get angry and explode because she’s overwhelmed. Wondering where this rage has come from. You might have seen her sit quietly staring into the distance with a panic in her eye.

You might have guessed, or she might have told you, but either way there are things you should know.

Anxiety isn’t a one size fits all, it isn’t consistent and it isn’t always easy to tell. You might think she’s just snapped at you, but it was anxiety that did it, you might think she’s angry, but it’s the anxiety that’s got a choke hold, you might think she’s not enjoying herself when you go out and it’s your fault, but it’s not. It’s anxiety.

You know how she can’t understand when she asks you what are you thinking, why you would respond with “nothing”… it’s because she never thinks nothing. Her thoughts replay like a freight train in her head full steam ahead, over and over. It’s exhausting for her. It’s why she’s tired.

There isn’t a day that goes by where she doesn’t think. She thinks about everything, and usually it is the worst case scenario. She worries that something will go wrong. That some days if she leaves the house, something will happen. Kidnapping, deaths, falls, cars spinning out of control, that’s why she can’t just leave the house or just go out, even though you’ve suggested it with good intentions. But it’s not so easy. That’s why when she’s home alone or out by herself she will text you a million times, telling you her every move or telling you everything that’s going wrong, she knows you can’t change anything, she knows you feel helpless, but so does she, that’s why she needs to share it with you, otherwise her head will explode with panic.

Sometimes she wonders why you’re with her, and if you knew she had anxiety would you still be there, do you regret it? Being with her? Do you wish you were with someone else that didn’t have this vice around their neck?

I want you to know I see that this is tough on you, tough to see your loved one hurt, tough on you, the pressure for you would be immense. But don’t think for a second she doesn’t see you, don’t think for a second she doesn’t worry about you too. she even gets anxiety about you. She knows it’s not your fault, and she knows you want to fix her and in the way that means you help her, but you can’t fix her. She’s not broken.

But you can help her, you can loosen the vice. You can see what gets too much for her, the crowds of people or bed time, dinner time, see it and help her by holding her hand and tell her you’re with her. Do it with her, take over, tell her to sit down for a while and breathe.

If you see her struggling with appointments, reschedule them for her, encourage her to take it slowly. Too much is overwhelming for her, even though she has good intentions. Don’t make her feel bad for missing an appointment, a party, whatever. She wanted to go, but she couldn’t. She already feels bad. Tells her it’s okay. Take the kids out for a play when you see her struggling, encourage her to take time out for herself. If the kids are awake all night and she’s worse if she has less sleep, get up with her, take over. Tell her to go back to bed.

Sometimes the answer won’t be so obvious. Sometimes she won’t even know the answer is to what she needs, but so long as your patient with her, she will feel your love.

She or you won’t benefit if you get frustrated, it’ll just escalate and make both of you miserable. She doesn’t want her anxiety to define your relationship and when you are patient, you’re telling her you’re willing to do the same.

Anxiety is heartbreaking for her. Really it is. She wishes she could just feel free. The free feeling of just being carefree and not a prisoner to this ugly illness. Free of the voice that follows her listing all her insecurities.

Not every day will be bad, and those days should be celebrated, but on the bad days, still celebrate her, because she needs it.

She appreciates you, she loves you. She’s vulnerable and scared. But she chose you to share her biggest deepest scar tissue that resides in her heart, and she knew the day she met you that you were the one worthy enough to see her in all her imperfections. She will love you with that whole heart, and you know she will because she’s already listed the pros and cons šŸ˜‰… and just as you are by her side she will be fiercely loyal to yours. Forever and ever, you just to need take her hand and tell her, “I am with you”

    Love,

A wife, a woman and a mumma who has anxiety.

  • I Should Of Stopped At One Child- I Wish I Could Turn Back Time

I Should Of Stopped At One Child

I am 33 years old and a mum to four children Sean 11, Saul, 8, Poppy MayĀ 6 and Lily RaeĀ 3 I do not enjoy being a mum at all, I mean I used to.

When it was justĀ Sean andĀ I it was easy I enjoyed watching him grow, tucking him in and giving him my undivided attention and being his mummyĀ but that all changed when Saul came along.

With each child I loath being a mother more and more, I feel all I do is yell at them and my husband, I’m forever tired and there is no enjoyment in raising four children, I am not me anymore, I have changed into a person I do not like.

Don’t get my wrong I love them all and would never see any harm come to them but if I could turn back time I would not have any children after Sean, I don’t know why i thought having more children was a good idea, I was perfect the way it was.

I used to be a fantastic, loving mother and now I dread the children waking up, the moans, the arguing and the constant want, want, want, the tears, the tantrums, the fact that they can’t be in the same room together without a fight or someone crying.

Poor Sean is often left out as the younger children are so needy and crave so much attention from me, I feel we have lost our bond,Ā he isĀ like a stranger in my house, I try to include him and make time for him but it is never enough.

I wish someone had told me how guilty I would feel with having so many children and how no matter how hard I try I can never give everyone equal love and attention.

I am burnt out, I am fed up and I truly wish I’d only had my eldest son, please don’t think badly of me I cannot help how I feel, I hope as they get older it will get easier but for now i guess I have to suck it up and continue with this life
