JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Hospital employees have been removed from their post at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville after disturbing photos with newborns surfaced on social media Monday.

The viral post shared a photo from a Snapchat account, which showed the employee giving the middle finger to a newborn, followed by a caption that read “How I currently feel about these mini Satans.” The post also read the “navy nurse” and her friend made a baby dance to rap music.

Jeanne Casey, the Public Affairs Officer at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, released the following statement:

“We are aware of a video/ photo posted online.  It’s outrageous, unacceptable, incredibly unprofessional, and cannot be tolerated.  We have identified the staff members involved.  They have been removed from patient care and they will be handled by the legal system and military justice.  We’re in the process of notifying the patient”s parents.”

  • Mums Mouse Horror Gone Viral

A mum to took to a Facebook parenting group to explain her trouble with a pesky mouse, the post has now gone viral for obvious reasons.

    Laura said in her post:

Okay so I’ve been debating whether to post this because I’m convinced people will think I’m an incapable human being at life and adulthood but I’ve figured they’re right and I may as well.

Today I saw a mouse in my sons room.

    A mouse.

Stewart Little has decided to come in my house and set up camp near my sons drawers. (Not his pants American people, his clothes drawer thing)

I saw it and I froze

And it was the kinda freeze that you feel like you shouldn’t even breathe. Where your air escapes your lungs.

I’m trying to find my pulse again when my daughter decided to strut into the room with her toddler swag and I screamed no! And it wasn’t just any no. It was the loudest noooooooooooooooooooooo I’ve ever made in my life.

So I shut the door and I leave little Jerry (Tom’s mate) to his own devices.

I decided to call my husband because there’s a mouse in the house, and when there is a mouse in the house other than blow torching the house down there isn’t much in the way of rational thinking.

He answers the phone and I say “mouse” I stutter because I’m fucking terrified. This is no Mickey Mouse okay. This is ratatouille but smaller and he isn’t making some delicious soup, he’s gonna spray out pebble poo and make babies everywhere and in my sons ears and they’ll crawl in my mouth… mouse in my mouth!!!

    “Huh?” He says

“Mouse in house” I say still shaken

    “Cat in hat” he replies.

“No babe, there’s a mouse in Luca’s room! You need to come home NOW and take it outside!”

“Oh Bub you just take it outside, or just kill it”

    “Kill it???”

Obviously this guy hasn’t seen the movie ‘Witches’ where the witch turns into a mouse after eating soup and gets stomped on by the chef and green pus sprays out.

“There are children in the house, your children. You need to come here. I can’t save them”

He laughs. He thinks I’m joking.

This face isn’t joking. This face is scared that this mouse is going to radio the rescuers and call his other mice friends to come and have a pebble poo party orgy. NOT ON MY WATCH MOUSE. Not on my watch.

But of course he can’t see my face because he’s on the phone.

“Okay I’m being serious there’s a mouse in the house and I’m FREAKING THE F OUT” I actually did swear but I’ll try and be cool in the post. Pretty sure I called the mouse the C word.

    “Where is it?” He asks

    “In Luca’s room”

    “Where?”

“I dunno I’ll open the door”

I open the door so slowly…inch by inch in snail speed, so slow that I can hear my husband asking if I’m still there. Lol

And it’s there. In the same spot.

“It’s dead!!!!!” I shut the door.

Oh my lord the mouse is dead. I have a DEAD mouse in my house. I start to cry a little bit

“It’s dead… it never had a chance to live its life”

“Babe just go scoop it up with a piece of paper and put it in the bin. I have to go to a meeting”

So I hung up on him. Because obviously I’m alone in this. I’m alone and I need to be the brave one… so I take a couple of swigs of whiskey and say “okay Laura, today is the day you will fight your biggest fear in life and remove a dead mouse from your house”

I said this about 10 times in the mirror before and slapped myself a few times before I bolted down the door and went charging in like a knight in shining armour with a piece of paper screaming like the warrior woman I am and charge up onto this dead mouse in my house and I realise …

    I realise it’s not a mouse.

No, not a mouse at all…

    It’s a tiny leopard…

    A tiny toy leopard.

I nod to myself and say “we shall never tell a soul about this”

My husband got home 4 hours later and asked me how I went….”I said mate, I handled that shit”

Well now the mouse is outta the bag…

    Pic of the bastard

  • Man Ends Up In Court Over Viral Photo

When Heather Whitten’s son Fox was sick, her husband Thomas brought his son into the shower to help give Fox some relief.  The photo was taken by Whitten, who is a professional photographer.

“I snapped a couple of pictures,” she said. “It was just beautiful. It was not surprising or anything out of the ordinary; it’s how he has always been with the kids.”
She likes the image because it shows that “it is okay to get naked with your son and nurture him … the important thing is really taking care of your kiddos.”

While many loved the photograph of a loving moment with father and son and were upset when the photo was removed, not everyone agreed, and a single individual sent a letter of complaint to the local authorities.

The Whittens, who have four children — Lillian 7, Leena 4, and   2-year-old twins Fox and Persephone — were then investigated by Arizona’s Department of Child Safety and the Sahuarita Police Department for a number of claims that the person made in their letter.

While the police said they wouldn’t take action and the case would be closed, a DCS investigator spent the next few months working to portray Whitten as “an immodest, neglectful and abusive mother based on the single interview she had with me.”

Whitten detailed the whole ordeal on the GoFundMe page she made to help raise funds for her civil case.

She said the investigator’s negative opinion of her was largely based on the fact that she had chosen to openly breastfeed one of her twins during the interview.

The claim against the Whittens could be substantiated against Heather in that she “neglected to supervise our children by allowing their images to be online and so put them at an unreasonable risk of harm.”

If this claim turns out to hold weight in court, Whitten will be added to Arizona’s Central Registry for 25 years, and her right to foster or adopt children will be taken away.

  • Just A Viral Infection?

Out of the blue Lilly got a high temperature after being fine all day. I had a feeling something wasn’t right as Calpol wasn’t bringing her temperature down.

I decided to take her to an out of hours GP, and, after seeing a doctor, Lilly was sent home, diagnosed with a virus.
I stayed next to her all night monitoring her temperature. The next morning Lilly was moaning and crying and just wanted to be cuddled.

I put her down for a nap and when she woke up an hour later she just looked at me as if to say ‘help me mummy’.

At that point I picked her up out of her cot and she vomited everywhere; I’ve never seen so much sick come from a baby.

I dressed her in a babygrow and put her straight in the car and we drove back up to the GP surgery, next to A & E, where I ran in with her and demanded to be seen straight away.

A triage nurse saw us straight away and called for a senior nurse. After taking a few observations the senior nurse took us straight round to A & E, and we were rushed into paediatrics, where they tried to locate Lilly’s veins so they could extract blood and administer fluid as she was very dehydrated from being so sick.

When they were unable to find any veins they needed to drill into her shins. Traumatic as this was it was necessary to save her life.

Once they stabilised Lilly they admitted her to a ward where she had a lumbar punch to confirm meningitis.

After seven days on the ward, countless needles, blood tests, antibiotics and steroids our baby girl was discharged having made a full recovery.

She is now a beautiful, cheeky three-year- old with normal development and no apparent lasting damage.

  • Is This Doll Inappropriate?

Would you be upset/offended if you bought a Doll like this and it didn’t have a warning on the box?

    Scroll down for picture

American Shoppers and Internet users alike were surprised to discover the You & Me Mommy Change My Diaper Doll at Toys “R” Us – a doll made anatomically correct for a male baby.

In response to the doll, some Facebook users have called the toy inappropriate and unnecessary for kids.

Others have joked that it’s a unique way to end a “gender reveal” party.

Some parents simply requested that the manufacturer put a warning label on the box.

Now I know my daughter has numerous dolls with male and female genitals and don’t personally have an issue with it, but what’s your view?

Would you buy it knowing it had this?

Would you have liked a warning before hand?

    Is it inappropriate?

    Let’s hear your views

  • She’s Too Fat To Be MY Bridesmaid

Do you remember the worst post Mums advice has ever received?

One member messaged in asking how she could tell her “fat” best friend that she didn’t want her to be bridesmaid at her wedding, she was worried that in photographs people’s eyes would be drawn to the larger lady and she would struggle to stand for long periods of time due to her huge thighs.

After hundreds of replies from Mums advice members she still didn’t see reason and continued to argue her case.

Roll on 6 months later, she messaged in again to say she had a fantastic wedding and all her bridesmaids were between a size 6 and 8 and her fat friend wasn’t aware she wasn’t made bridesmaid because of her weight.

    But wait it gets better!!!!

The so called “fat” friend messaged in…needless to say they are no longer friends and even commented saying, “I maybe larger than you but at least I don’t have an ugly soul, oh and your husband is cheating on you with his size 14 work colleague.

    Do you remember this post?

What would your advice have been?
