The harsh truth of having nobody.
Please be kind and support all your friends and family as much as you can, you never know what they’re facing. Don’t just ask mums how there kids are, ask the mum how she is, ask her if she is coping and talk to her even if she says she is, make her aware you are there and will be if she ever decides she isn’t coping.
This letter was written by a woman who took her life
To my precious friends and family
Please just know I love you all so much but I can’t do it anymore, I can’t keep up the pretence, I cant take 1 more night of crying myself to sleep, my face hurts, my head hurts, my eyes are raw, I’m so tired
I keep seeing all the posts over social media of happy families having fun supporting each other then there is me sat here with no one, yes I have my children but as selfish as it sounds I’m desperate for a break, not from them but this routine, their dad doesn’t want to know, my parents only being able to come as close as the gate, I feel so alone, we can’t even go for a walk because we’re in shielding, I feel like a prisoner
I started off like everyone else, up washed dressed, 3 meals a day, school work done in the morning, fun activities in the afternoon and settle down with a movie at night, kids in bed, quickly tidy and fall asleep again for the next day, do you know what my routine is now, this will probably anger a lot of you but rest assured as I’m typing this the guilt is eating away at me, the tears are streaming and I wish that this wasn’t my reality but it is, I now awake around 11 and noon after not being able to sleep all night, fantasing about sneaking out and abandoning the kids, how to kill myself, do I take the kids too or do i let them live on with out me and find me in the morning, at this point the kids have been up on their own, messed up the house which I can’t face sorting, either not eaten or helped themselves to anything, around 3pm I can finally move, still can’t motivate myself to do anything productive, just sit on social media torturing myself watching and wondering how people are managing to do the things they are doing, wishing I could just get up washed and dressed.
Well it’s now 3:30am this is my 5th night of this and I can’t take it any longer, this is the only productive thing I’ve done for a while
I’ve packed all the kids things up, their clothes, paper work and their favourite things, I’ve wrote them all a letter saying I love them and how sorry I am
The key is under the doormat please who ever gets this first come and get the children before they wake around 8am, don’t go into my room just ring the police, you dont need to have that last memory of me
I’m so sorry, love you all please forgive me
This was a couple of days ago, she hung herself
Our family have requested to stay anonymous so please share this as such but they beg you to get the word out if anyone is feeling anything like this or can relate in anyway please speak up
They want this letter to go viral, if it saves just one person’s life please spread it far and wide
🤱Whether you have chosen to / are able to breast feed or bottle feed let us start by saying we respect you just for loving your baby!
Outdated advice and misinformation is deterring mums from breastfeeding and making them feel like they are doing something wrong.
So…for the breastfeeding Mummas among you please see the below myth vs truth and feel free to message us for any advice!
❌MYTH❌ Babies feed every 3 hours on the hour!
✅TRUTH✅ Babies usually feed between every 2 and 4 hours however, it is not unusual for babies to feed more often, almost constantly in fact, during a growth spurt or to boost your milk supply.
❌MYTH❌ If your baby still seems hungry after a feed you should feed them a bottle.
✅TRUTH✅ Giving your baby a bottle after a feed could deplete your milk supply and could hinder your latch in the early weeks. If your baby has lost a certain % of body weight then your midwife may recommend supplementing with a bottle.
❌MYTH❌ Babies should sleep through the night once they are eating solid food.
✅TRUTH✅ It is perfectly normal for infants, breastfed or not, to wake up in the night for a feed or comfort.
❌MYTH❌Breastfeeding is easy for everyone.
✅TRUTH✅ It all goes swiftly for some Mummas but for others there can be a minefield of issues from a shallow latch, tongue ties, a baby with a bubble pallet, low milk supply, and much much more. So think before you label a Mumma as a quitter! And in fact…some Mum’s just don’t want to breastfeed and frankly…that is nobody elses business 🤷♀️
EDIT : To echo the words of the inspiring lady below…It is indeed a myth that every woman is able to exclusively breastfeed! For those that can’t it does not have to be all or nothing! See pic in comments of Ella using an amazing system that allows her to both breastfeed and supplement at the same time. 💛

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
What I am about to give y’all is free advice that I should be paid a lot of money for but I’ve decided to educate all future dads, current dads, and grandpas for free. After the last week I feel it’s my duty to help others before they plunge into the Disney mission. Every one will call it the Disney experience but trust me it’s more like a mission.
Let’s start by when your wife and kids bring up going to Disney World the first thing you do is convince them that it has burned down and is no longer in existence. If that doesn’t work you should have time to follow my steps bc they will plan this for along time.
First thing you do is enroll in the navy seal training program. You will learn many skills needed for you to survive your Disney mission, such as being able to keep your cool under extreme pressure. Little to no sleep for long periods of time and being hot, cold, and wet all minutes apart.
You will learn how to not use the bathroom for hours at a time and be stealthy sneaking in and out of lines by not being detected to alert the others around you. You will learn how to be hungry and thirsty with no time to eat or drink for fear of missing your next objective.
U will also be in shape so you can walk in circles for miles and miles each day which may or may not require you to sprint at high speeds for short distances. All the skills at navy seals training will be needed. Do not take this lightly.
Rusty and I did not get pointers before we went through this mission and almost didn’t make it home. Some vocabulary words that u should get comfortable with are fast pass, quick service, snack credit, table service, wait time. Also sharpen up on your map reading skills and be ready to make quick and accurate deviations bc sometimes you will be seconds away from being too late.
Be ready to get up early and go to bed very late. Don’t be fooled this is not a vacation. You will be excited to go home and back to work. Before you head out on your Disney mission get out your stroller and practice folding it up and unfolding it up. If you can’t do it 3 times in under a minute you aren’t ready keep practicing. Also you will have to remember where you park the damn stroller 20 times a day and it will always be in a stupid spot and if u park it in a spot that’s convenient they will go move it to a dumb spot so you will have to search for it.
You will have to find it quick bc you won’t have much time to get to your next ride. You will need to be able to stand for hours and hours and if you get lucky to sit down it will be a hard surface with no padding but don’t worry you will only get to sit for a couple of seconds bc you will have to get somewhere very soon. Don’t expect to sit down and eat and relax either bc you will need to eat fast so you can get to your next event.
Miles adapted and started swallowing his food whole to make up time. Early in the morning is the most important part of the day. Be prepared to get up 3 hours before the rides start and get on the bus. It’s important to be at the front of the start line and haul ass to the most popular rides before the rest of the crowd gets there Be able to run while steering around many others while pushing your stroller while being yelled at to hurry.
All skills you should acquire at seal training. Always be prepared to stop and take a picture but be able to do it fast bc you don’t have much time. If you think your tired slap yourself and push on Also no matter what your wife makes you wear t-shirt wise trust me you will not be the goofiest looking family there.
Trust me you will see some goofy families wearing matching shirts that will make your own look awesome so don’t fret about the shirt thing. That’s the least thing to be concerned about. The last advice I will give you is get a second job months before you deploy such as be a drug dealer bc your gonna need some extra money bc a donut cost 5 bucks and a coke is 4 bucks. If you think your gonna get a beer to knock the edge off so you make it through the day they cost 8 bucks so the salary of a drug dealer is needed to support the mission financially. Follow these pointers and maybe you to will make it through a 7 day Disney mission.

Son: “Dad, I think I’m old enough to know now. Is there a Santa Claus?” Not being the world’s fastest thinker, I stalled for time.
Dad: “OK, I agree that you’re old enough. But before I tell you, I have a question for you. You see, the truth is a dangerous gift. Once you know something, you can’t un-know it. Once you know the truth about Santa Claus, you will never again understand and relate to him as you do now. So my question is: Are you sure you want to know?”
Brief pause. Son: “Yes. I want to know.”
Dad: “OK, I’ll tell you: Yes, there IS a Santa Claus.”
Son: “Really?” Dad: “Yes, really, but he’s not an old man with a beard in a red suit. That’s just what we tell kids. You see, kids are too young to understand the true nature of Santa Claus, so we explain it to them in a way that they can understand. The truth about Santa Claus is that he’s not a person at all; he’s an idea. Think of all those presents Santa gave you over the years. I actually bought those myself. I watched you open them. And did it bother me that you didn’t thank me? Of course not! In fact it gave me great pleasure. You see, Santa Claus is THE IDEA OF GIVING FOR THE SAKE OF GIVING, without thought of thanks or acknowledgement.
When I saw that woman collapse on the subway last week and called for help, I knew that she’d never know that it was me who summoned the ambulance. I was being Santa Claus when I did that.”
Son: “Oh.”
Dad: “So now that you know, you’re part of it. You have to be Santa Claus too now. That means you can never tell a young kid the secret, and you have to help us select Santa presents for them, and most important, you have to look for opportunities to help people. Got it?”
THIS POST IS GRAPHIC- but it’s for those of you who say that a c-section is the “EASY” way out. Let me explain to you what happens. I’ve had both an emergency c-section and a planned one…
First, (during your probable panic attack) they’re going to sit you up on the operating table. They’ll open the back of your hospital gown and a nurse will cradle your head and shoulders to make sure that your spine is arched. You HAVE to stay still because the anesthesiologist is about to stick a large needle in your spine and IF you move, let’s just say, it’s not good. You DON’T move. But you feel that needle go into your spine and the pain and pressure is something you will NEVER forget.
Next, the nurses lay you on your back as your legs begin to go numb. At this point, I’m shaking and crying because there’s something very terrifying about knowing that your stomach is about to get cut open- and you’re awake for it. The bright surgery light shines down on you as they begin to clean your stomach. Your blood pressure and pulse are being monitored as they touch your stomach up to your ribs to make sure you’re numb. EMOTIONALLY, you CANNOT be numbed. It’s like emotional overdrive.
After the anesthesia sets in, the panic begins (at least for me). Will he be healthy? Is he going to be okay? Am I going to die? Will it hurt? And then they begin to cut..
I felt every ounce of pressure and movement. Don’t think that you don’t, you do. The clamps, the pulling, the tearing. You don’t feel the pain, but you know/feel exactly what’s happening. Mentally, there’s really no way to describe this. After a couple of minutes your baby is taken out of your stomach and in the first picture, they held him up to the curtain so I could see him. I couldn’t hold him, I could only watch as they worked on him. By this point, I’m hysterical. My hands were shaking so bad that the anesthesiologist kept having to put my hand back on the arm holders.
After he’s out, that’s when they begin sewing you up or gluing you. This is when my blood pressure and pulse drop and I feel like I may actually die. Emotions are in overdrive. I just want him to be okay. Desperately I pray that he’s okay. Tears were pouring out of me.
The operation is over, but the pain isn’t. You’re wheeled into the recovery room to be monitored for an hour. I had severe amounts of pain in my back and chest and we’re still not certain as to why. But this is when it all starts “setting in”. See, after a c-section, when you cough or even giggle, it feels like your stomach is tearing open and your organs are about to fall out. Moving at all shoots an indescribable pain into your abdomen and you feel sick. You need help moving in your bed, rolling over and adjusting the blankets. (You just had a baby cut out of you so..)
Lastly, it really takes time to heal. But during your healing process you also need to care for that newborn. Be prepared to barely sleep while trying to recover from major surgery. He’ll be nursing and laying his beautiful little body RIGHT on top of your incision. And just wait until you have to walk in 12 hours- THAT is pain. Showering, walking and moving are NO easy task. Your incision will burn, your stomach will feel like you’ve been stabbed repeatedly and going to the bathroom will seem nearly impossible.
LUCKILY there is something amazing about all of this- you gave birth to a beautiful child. Incredible. And NO it’s not the “easy” way. The truth is, there is NO “easy” way to give birth.
So for all of us c-section moms, don’t minimize our births. Don’t tell us that we did it the “easy” way. Don’t tell us that we “copped out”. It’s simply NOT true…. just ask any woman who’s had one. It takes a STRONG woman to endure a c-section and recover from one. I’ve had 3 now so I KNOW how strong you have to be.
We’re women, we endure more pain than most. We shouldn’t cut each other down over how we give birth. For me, I didn’t have an option but to have c-sections as my uterus nearly ruptured with my daughter. We don’t choose c-sections, our DOCTORS deem them medically necessary. We should build each other up. If you gave birth vaginally, YOU are a warrior. I don’t pretend to know your pain. I just know it IS pain. If you’ve not had a c-section, just know it IS pain as well.
I gave birth to my beautiful boy 3 days ago and I’m still very much recovering from my c-section and just to let you know- it still hurts! IF this is the “EASY way” please enlighten me as to which is the “hard way”……
