A simple case of mistaken identity has led to a beautiful new family tradition.
Last year grandmother Wanda Dench messaged her grandson asking him to join them for Thanksgiving dinner. Little did she know this was actually sent to Arizona teenager Jamal Hinton.
After clearing up the mistake he jokingly asked if he was still welcome to join them. She happily exclaimed:
“Of course you can. That’s what grandmas do…feed everyone,” she replied.
Well this year shared pictures to his instagram account showing the odd pair enjoying another thanksgiving together joined by their spouses.

Jamal explained: “She is a very sweet lady,” Jamal told news outlets at the time. “She told me her husband was a veteran and she always invited his friends over for dinner, so she’s used to having a lot of people over.”

Dench told local newspaper the Arizona Republic: “It was really nice having everybody here.
“We got to laugh about last year and reminisce about how it all blew up on our phone and how I had to change my number. We had a laugh and a good time.”
Such a lovely heartwarming story, we hope the tradition continues for many years to come.
