  • Covid Track And Trace SCAM

    😡😡😡 ………And so it begins!……
    ‘Good afternoon I’m calling from the NHS track and trace service. According to our system, you are likely to have been in close proximity to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. This means that you now need to self-isolate for 7 days and take a COVID-19 test.’
    ‘OK. Can you tell me who that person was?’
    ‘I’m not able to tell you that. That is confidential information.’
    ‘Right. Um… so ….’
    ‘But you do need to be tested within the next 72 hours. So can I just get the best mailing address so that we can send a kit to you?’
    ‘Ok (gives address)’
    I just need to take a payment card so that we can finalize this and send the kit to you.’
    ‘Sorry – a payment card? I thought this was all free?’
    ‘No – I’m afraid not. There is a one-off fee of £50 for the kit and test results. Could you read off the long card number for me, please, when you’re ready.’
    ‘No – that’s not right. This is part of the NHS so there’s no charge.’
    ‘I’m afraid there is. Can you give me the card number please – this is very important, and there are penalties for not complying.’
    Puts the phone down.
    This is how scammers work. And vulnerable people will fall for it.”

  • Woman Stealing Baby Photos For Money

    Brianna Manness is at it again.

    For those of you who are new here and don’t know, Brianna stole photos of my daughter in the NICU claiming that she was her child and had passed away.

    She posted it publicly to Facebook with a NICU photo of my daughter that I had posted with her GoFundMe link. Brianna, even after being caught and reported, took it as far as creating a gofundme for funeral costs and raised about $2,500 before it was shut down.

    Not only has she faked my child’s death, she did the same to a friend of mine and her baby back home.

    Today, she is now posing as a woman named Samantha Nellen, claiming she is 20 weeks pregnant, but when asked a second time she is suddenly 32 weeks pregnant. She is asking for photos of pregnant women’s bellies, cropping their faces out, and sending them to other women as if they are photos of her.

    She has asked for photos of other women’s children as well as asking their sexuality and for full body photos of them. This woman is still so very sick in the head and has proven that she cannot be stopped when it comes to taking from and harassing other women and mothers.

    If you can find the profile Samantha Nellen as well as Brianna Manness or Brianna Dawn Manness, please REPORT both and have them shut down. She better pray that her and I never come face to face, because not only did she fake my child’s death TWICE, she’s doing so with other children and it is HORRIFYING.

  • HMRC Scam Please Be Vigilant

    SCAM!!!!! BE VIGILANT!!!! Just thought I would share this so nobody falls into the same trap that we almost did!! 😳😳 Both myself and my ex partner simultaneously received a letter from what appears to be HMRC saying that we owe a tax credit overpayment of over £800 from 2015!!!

    It wasn’t until we got together and looked into it further that we noticed some VERY discreet discrepancies that we realised we had almost been scammed!!!!! These included them being printed on page 1of 4 and 3 of 4 meaning two of the pages were missing.

    The address has only two lines, was not written in line with every other hmrc letter ever received. They have not provided the same details that hmrc puts as standard on all of their letters, and finally, the phone number provided (the one they presume people will just call in a blind panic without thinking and pay up on!) does not correspond with any number of hmrc’s. After some research into the phone number itself, we realised it is in fact a scam.

    This is scary because we are neither old or vulnerable!!!! We are people in their 20s who are very savvy to this kind of thing and yet we were almost duped!!!! 😳😳 This letter is VERY convincing so please check them carefully and contact hmrc using the number on their website (NOT THE LETTER!) if you are in doubt. I just know there are a lot of people being scammed out of their money over the next few weeks 😢😢

  • Company Scam Please Be Aware

    I recently fell for a scam on Facebook and purchased a cleaning product called Multifunctional All purpose Effervescent cleaning spray from a Facebook company called Oderby.

    The product states it can clean the bottom of your pots and pans and bring them up like new. The video on their web page also shows someone cleaning an oven with it, which looks amazing afterwards.
    The product takes 4 weeks to arrive and when it does arrive the spray bottle is missing, there are no instructions, and there are 10 white tablets.
    I tried the product which does not work, it’s complete lies. Once you have purchased the item the company blocks you from contacting them via Facebook, and stops you from warning others.
    Luckily I managed to get a full refund from PayPal, but I just wanted to warn others about this scam.
    This was the first time I’ve ever purchased an item from Facebook, and I’m shocked at how these companies are still allowed to sell products through Facebook.

  • Do Not Use Viagogo For Your Tickets

    For those of you wanting to attend a concert I need to plead with you to not use viagogo for your tickets, or these other places selling tickets unless it’s from the actual site.

    Many shows do not allow the e-tickets anymore (you’ll also notice the huge difference in costs to what you paid than what’s on the ticket!) so you’ll have to go to the box office to get them, but the people who order them have a different name. So even if you have the proof of purchase you still won’t be allowed in.

    We believed viagogo was a reputable company when we bought tickets, however when we went to our venue we were not allowed to enter as the ticket was not valid. Whilst we were lucky that my husband could get through to viagogo on the phone which many struggle to do so, so we have a refund coming….many aren’t so fortunate.

    I have since discovered that we are not alone and many other people have had the same issue, take a look at some of the awful reviews this company has received

  • Dads Warning After Fortnite Money Scam

    We have Just been victim to an Xbox fortnight scam I have decided to share this in the hope no one will be as stupid as us.

     Vinnie who is 11 asked his dad on Monday if he could give out his dads mobile number on a web page to get a free game in fortnight they then claim they will send you a code to the phone and then you input the code then send it onto the Xbox to get the free game in Fortnite.

    No harm would come from just a simple thing like a phone number surely, it has got to be safe right? Wrong! We were so wrong.

    What you are doing is authorising mobile billing from Microsoft and somehow this person starts billing your phone even though you are not buying anything and have not handed over any bank details.

    £140 has gone over three days just added to mobile phone account so doesn’t show from your bank, if like me you check your internet banking it will not show straight away I didn’t even know that u could bill to mobile ?

    We have spoken to Microsoft and they have put a block on to stop any more money being charged to my account, however it may take some time to be refunded (if they decide to) the £140 that has already been charged.

    Do not trust these web sites which claim to give you free Fortnite games or any free games with just your phone number it is a scam.

    Police have issued a Warning mainly towards  Ladies: If you are a female, take heed! If you are male and have a significant female in your life who you care about, whether it’s your wife, your girlfriend, your daughter, your sister, your niece, your cousin, your next door neighbour; whomever…………..pass this along!

    Always, “Better safe than sorry!” A man came over and offered his services as a painter to a female putting petrol in her car and left his card. She said no, but accepted his card out of courtesy and got in her car.

    The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman. As the lady left the petrol station, she saw the men following her out at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that the odor was on her hand; the same hand which accepted the card from the gentleman at the petrol station.

    She then noticed the men were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway she saw and began to beep her horn repeatedly to ask for help. The men drove away but the lady still felt pretty bad for several minutes.

    Apparently, there was a substance on the card that could have seriously injured her. This drug is called ‘BURUNDANGA’ and it is used by people who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal from or take advantage of them. This drug is four times more dangerous than the date rape drug and is transferable on simple cards. So take heed and make sure you don’t accept cards at any given time you are alone or from someone on the streets. This applies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services.

    Be careful of this phone scam going round, don’t be fooled by their lies.

     Just had a telephone call from ‘Microsoft’ saying that our computer had been hacked with something called ‘Events Log’. 

    She asked me to go up to my pc and turn it on and press various buttons, which I said I was doing, whilst actually googling on my phone ‘Microsoft scam’ just to check. It’s all over the Internet! 

    If I had let them, they would have taken control of my pc and registered all my information, passwords, keystrokes etc. As soon as I said to her I have been looking on the internet whilst talking to you and I think this is a scam, she immediately hung up. 

    PHONE NUMBER IS 0018529411977 – lady had Indian accent and asked for me by name. Scary, please share.

    If you receive this call do not answer or hang up immediately 

  • Do Not Accept Him!

    Fake Facebook message warns users not to accept Jayden K Smith hacker
    A fake Facebook messanger warning is telling users to avoid accepting a friend request from a man named Jayden K Smith because he is a hacker. Longer versions of this hoax claim accepting the user will result in your account getting hacked or cloned.

    This is one of the messages 

     Please tell all the contacts in your Messenger list, not to accept Jayden K. Smith friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it. 

    This appears to be the latest in a string of fake hacker warnings, none  of which is true.

    You cannot be “hacked” just for accepting a friend requests, and if such warnings were true, why wouldn’t Facebook remove such offending accounts before such warnings had a chance to go viral?

    So come on guys lets stop spreading silly warnings that have no truth!
