  • Aldi Complaint Who Is In The Right?

Vicky Gordon’s complaint to Aldi uk has caused heated debates we would love to know if you agree with her treatment at Aldi or if she has the right to be upset.

Gordon wrote “At approximately 11.30am, on the morning of Saturday 7th July 2018, I took my 5-year-old son into Aldi in Dartford. As we walked into the store, my son complained he felt unwell, and vomited on the floor of the first aisle. As I was trying to calm him down, a lady offered to get a member of staff for me to help us. The woman came back and said she had asked for a First Aider to come to help us.

The woman, Andrea, came round from the tills with a kitchen roll and bag; she handed them to me, turned away and said “I don’t do sick”; and walked away. I was left standing with my son. I called after her “Could you please send a First Aider to us?” At which she replied “I’m busy on a till”; and walked away. Another customer said to me “I wouldn’t clean that up if I were you. Not after she shoved it at you and walked off like that”.

I put the roll down and went to walk my son out of the store to get him some water, but I had to walk around to the exit, where the security guard (Collins) saw us and asked what was wrong with my son. I told him he had been sick on the floor and Andrea had just walked away from him with no regard for if he or I were okay. He told me to sit Oscar on the packing shelf and he would get us some water.

I asked if he could also get a Manager or First Aider to come and see us. He returned and said there wasnt any bottles of water, but he would keep looking; and that a Manager was on her way. As he was about to go look for water, he pointed out the Manager Aneta. She approached another till member who was serving, and then appeared to get onto a newly opened till. I said “Excuse me, I’m waiting to speak to you”. She replied “You’ll have to wait, I need to serve”. I said “I’m sorry but my son has just been sick in your store, and your member of staff has just shoved tissue at me and walked away. I need some help with my son.” At which, she said “you’ll just have to wait, I’m busy”.

I walked towards her, feeling rather upset and angry at how my son had been ignored; and asked her to please come over and get me some water for my son. I said that I couldn’t believe that as a Manager, after hearing she has a child that is ill in her store, has decided to serve customers is more important than checking he is okay. I asked for her name and for her colleague’s name, and said that I would be contacting Head Office. Her reply was simply “And??”.

I went back to my son, thanked the security guard for his help in the situation, and left the store. As we walked out, my son said to me “Can we please not go in Aldi anymore”, I said “Dont worry, we wont be”. I walked into Poundworld next door to get my son some water. I called a cab for us to go to my parents home. While there, my son was clearly still ill, so I took him home.

Later that afternoon, I contacted Aldi Customer Service and spoke to a lady called Kelly. She was utterly appalled at the situation, and actions of the staff and Manager. She apologised and said that she would escalate it to the Area Manager Daniel on Monday. She said I would get a phone call from him within a couple of days, once he had reviewed the complaint properly. Monday (9th July 2018); I got a call from Kelly at 11.15am. She said that my complaint had been passed on to Daniel and that he had asked her to send me an apology, and a £10 voucher as a gesture of goodwill. I said that no amount of money was going to make me want to go back in the store, it wasnt about the money.

I asked for her to get the Area Manager to contact me directly, once he had reviewed the CCTV footage, and decided on a course of action. She said it would probably take a few days as he would need to speak to the staff involved etc. I said I was happy to wait. At approximately 1pm on the same day, I received another call from a different member of Customer Service, saying that the complaint had been passed on to him and that he would like to send me a letter of apology in the post. Again, I said that I would like to speak to the Area Manager once he had reviewed the footage and had a course of action. I was then told that this could take a while for that to happen, but if I was happy to wait, then he would put my request in place. I explained to him that I was going to post my complaint publicly.

2 days after this incident, my son is still unwell. The staff had no idea whether he was severely unwell, or not. It was on one of the hottest days of the year, and all they were worried about was serving customers. To not even offer him a cup of water, is an absolute disgrace.

I am absolutely disgusted that anyone could ignore a sick child, least of all when that child is in a shop you work in. I will not be returning to Aldi, and intend to spread our experience far and wide”.

Vicky and her son didn’t get much sympathy on her complaint post, many people stating it is not the stores responsibility to care for a child who has vomited, what are your views?

  • Is The Benefit Cap Taking Away Parents Rights To Children?

Since its introduction in 2016 the benefits cap for families containing more than two children has bought already poverty-stricken parents to their knees. Many parents have chosen to not have anymore children while others continue having children and complaining about the lack of income but is this their right? Is the benefits cap removing their right to choose how many children they have?

Many politicians are calling for the cap to be scrapped but where is the money coming from for large families who will claim large amounts of money for 4, 5, 6 or even more children while neither both parents work?

Or is the cap forcing lazy parents to find work and pay taxes in an already cash strapped state?

Surely it’s a better idea to keep benefits low and make parents go out to work if that want a large family rather than pay people to breed.

Over 200,000 children have been affected due to the benefit cap with more than half the families losing more than £50 pw while 13% have lost a staggering £150 pw. Every family has a different story but surely the answer is to force parents into work, even for low pay rather than the government pay full benefits for parents choosing to stay at home. As of february 1st 2018 45,0000 families have moved off benefits and into employment thus allowing parents to support their families as well as having the right to expand without the struggle of a benefits cap.

Since the cap the debts of families affected have skyrocketed as parents can’t afford to get by many becoming desperate just to survive  taking loans out for the basics food, clothing, bills unable to pay back what they have borrowed. So what’s the answer stop parents right to having as many children as they like or force them into work to provide for any they want?

  • Had My Mum Listened To Doctors My Sister Would Have Died

I’d like to tell you a story about Alder Hey…. My sister when she was 8 yrs old..was in that hospital and they told my mum .. It’s all in your daughters head, there’s nothing wrong with her, my mother insisted , demanded and banged her fist on the consultants table, I want you to do more tests she’s not putting it on, she’s in bad trouble and screams in pain with her neck, finally after months of them saying my sister wasn’t very poorly, she was found to have an inoperable tumour in her neck, she had to have chemotherapy, and my mother over heard a nurse saying ..”why don’t they let that little girl go home and die in peace” 😳

My sister continued to have radiation treatment and finally came home but my mother was told she would not survive it, although my sister has had numerous health issues over the years because of the effects of radiation and another flare of cancer can I just say that my sister is now 72 and defied all their odds…. So even years ago they got it so badly wrong at Alder hey, can you imagine if my mum had of listened to them and given up!!!

Parents if you feel that Doctors are wrong or you want more tests done do not just take a Doctors word for it, a mother’s instict is often right, some times even the most trained professional can be mistaken

  • Nobody Talks About What It’s Really Like After You Have A Baby

Nobody talks about what it’s really like after you have a baby . Nobody speaks on how much self-confidence you lose . The hours you’ll spend changing clothes and crying on your bedroom floor because all of those tight cute shirts and skinny jeans you looked good in no longer fit right .

How after weeks and weeks of trackie bottoms and t-shirts you try some of your old clothes on and they still don’t feel right . Nobody talks about the disappointment . How people tell you it’s just a process and in 6 weeks to a couple of months you’ll be back to normal but they’re not the ones having to play the waiting game .

Nobody speaks on how it isn’t fair anymore . How you feel like your whole world has just come to a stop but your significant others is still going on . How they get to leave whenever and do whatever but now if you want to leave it involves a baby sitter or packing a bag , getting a whole other person ready before yourself .

Nobody tells you how to fight the depression of staying inside a house 24/7 by yourself while it seems like everyone else’s life is in full motion . And no one talks about the anxiety & the pressure . The anxiety of feeling like you have to do everything right and by the book or you find yourself bawling on a floor because there’s so much pressure on you to do everything by other people’s expectations.

Having a baby is a wonderful thing no doubt , it’s the best life changing experience. But it’s not all smiles 24/7 and the cute pictures you see on social media . I have a whole new respect for mothers after becoming one . I guess the whole point of this web story is I’ve seen sooo much mum bashing lately that it’s ridiculous . Every mum does things different because every child is different.

Just keep in mind that every mum is also different and more than likely facing her own different battle before you try to bash her and make her feel lower than what she already feels .

  • What’s The Time Mr.Wolf Should Not Be Played

This is what I was witness to this week whilst taking my own children to school.

An elderly childminder is looking after four children aged five to seven years of age and is standing in the school playground holding multiple bags and chatting away to her friend.

Whilst the childminder awaits the school doors opening the children are getting bored so they begin to play a childhood favourite, What’s the time Mr.Wolf.

Sounds harmless doesn’t it, as the children play one becomes the wolf and roars, close by a child of Four whom is unknown to the childminder begins to cry.

The mother of said child comes over to comfort the girl, hugging her and telling her everything is okay and to stay away from “them mean children”

After sometime the mother turns from a comforting mum to an enraged woman, demanding that the childminder stops the children from playing a game which is clearly scaring her small child who is now sat on the playground floor sucking her thumb and whimpering.

Childminder pleads her case and explains that the children are playing a harmless game and maybe her child should try to join in or alternatively move away from them and play on some of the play equipment.

The mother doesn’t like this and says if the childminder does not do anything to stop them she will take further action and ensure everyone who is willing to listen knows that the childminder is a bully and unfit to care for small children.

Childminder looks defeated  and equally shocked and gives in and asks the children to cease playing this seemingly harmless game.

The mother then returns to her friends to bad mouth the childminder and says that What the time Mr.Wolf is too scary for small children and she thinks it should be banned.

The mother then picks her whimpering child up telling her everything is okay now and she is safe, the mother has to carry her child through the school door as she is still so upset.

Who is in the right here?

Should a game be stopped for one child?

The little girl is scared but does that warrant other children from playing?

Is this child extra sensitive due to her up bringing?

  • I GAVE UP BEING A MOTHER TO INDULGE MYSELF.

I’m about to hit a “perfect parent”‘s nerve here, but to be quite frank, I’m way past the point of caring.

I do not give a fuck. No fucks given whatsoever.

If you’re a mum, you’re probably on a mum’s advice page on Facebook, right?

    I am, too.

I asked a fair question and I was practically mauled by a pack of dogs for it.

I bet you’re dying to know what it was that I asked, so here it is…

“My ex-partner has a full time job, he earns £30k plus, he has plenty of disposable income and pays nothing for our child. Am I wrong in stopping contact?”

Apparently, I was; I was a bitch apparently and God only knows what else.

So, after a lot of thinking, do you know what I did?

I decided I couldn’t be bothered to be a mother anymore; yeah, I put myself before my kids.

What do they matter anyway? They’re just an inconvenience.

So, I woke up this morning as usual; I’d usually give my children some breakfast and some juice before school, but today I decided to give it a miss – I scoffed mine down, though.

I didn’t bother buying toothpaste when I went shopping either, so they’ll have to skip brushing their teeth aswell – I bought myself some, though.

So, then, I made sure the kids were dressed in filthy clothes, ready for school – mine were clean, though.

It was raining today, but I sent my eldest to school on his own, with no coat. He’ll have to stay indoors and play on his own – coats aren’t cheap, especially mine.

I went to work as soon as he left. I left my youngest at home, though – I’m not wasting £50 a day on childcare.

Who has that kind of money to spend?!

I then had a call from the school to ask why my eldest child wasn’t attending his educational school trip – truth is, I spent his trip money on cigarettes.

I got home from work and they were both sat in the cold and dark – I spent the electricity and gas money on a night out.

They started to complain they were hungry again – tough, I’m getting a takeaway when they go to bed.

They can skip having a bath and go straight to bed, they can surivive without a wash.

It’s Saturday tomorrow, the kids are off and I think we’ll just stay in because I’m skint – I went a bit mad on buying myself new clothes last week.

Actually, I’ve got a bit of cash spare, I’ll fuck off out for the weekend instead and won’t bother making the effort.

Of course, I would never do this to my children.

Who in their right fucking mind would do this to their child?

A man would, that’s who (and apparently some women do aswell).

If a woman behaved this way, she would have her children taken away and placed in to care – no questions asked.

So, tell me this – why is it okay for a man not to provide for his children and still think he’s entitled to a relationship with his child?

There are exceptions, of course – there always are. But, if you work and have money to spend on yourself, you can spend it on your child.

    No fucking excuses.

Stop defending a man for being a man, it’s WRONG.

  • Is This Doll Inappropriate?

Would you be upset/offended if you bought a Doll like this and it didn’t have a warning on the box?

    Scroll down for picture

American Shoppers and Internet users alike were surprised to discover the You & Me Mommy Change My Diaper Doll at Toys “R” Us – a doll made anatomically correct for a male baby.

In response to the doll, some Facebook users have called the toy inappropriate and unnecessary for kids.

Others have joked that it’s a unique way to end a “gender reveal” party.

Some parents simply requested that the manufacturer put a warning label on the box.

Now I know my daughter has numerous dolls with male and female genitals and don’t personally have an issue with it, but what’s your view?

Would you buy it knowing it had this?

Would you have liked a warning before hand?

    Is it inappropriate?

    Let’s hear your views

  • I Help And Support My Childs Abuser

I want to share my story, the story of how i knowingly let my sons abuser move in every weekend. This is how I lost the support of my family but I feel I did the right thing.
My son was 2, a happy, mischievous blonde haired lad, a boy who never failed to make me smile.

He was always happy, until September 3 years ago.

He became quiet and timid and was struggling to use the toilet, his bottom bled, I put it down to him straining too hard.

After a day of spotting I took him to the Doctor, my son screamed and screamed when the doctor tried to take down his trousers.
Once we had managed to take down his trousers and pants and the Doctor examined him, he discovered he had a large anal tear, we rushed to hospital.
At the hospital he was again examined but had to be sedated as he became so distressed, the police and social services arrived.
I was taken to the family room and spoken to, they said they think my son had been abused.
They asked for a list of people who had recently been in contact with my son.
As a lone parent and my son not at nursery yet the list was short. My father, my sister, my brother in law and my 11 year old nephew.
When the police spoke to them all my nephew confessed to raping my son.
Eventually he was sentenced to 6 months in a juvenile detention centre.

I went to visit him and spoke to him at length, his mum and dad had disowned him.

He apologised and he told me he didn’t know it was wrong.
    How could he not know?

Surely my sons cries would make him stop?

The blood running down my sons legs?

I questioned him, he confessed that his father (my brother in law) did it to him all the time, ever since he can remember and he always cried and called out, he bled, he thought it was normal.

My poor nephew had been abused all his life…

I helped him report it, but no charges were ever made as who would believe the word of a child rapist with no evidence.
I decided I would would help him when he came out, after all my son and my nephew were both victims here.
My son luckily had no memory of the incident and was back to his normal happy self.
Social services and the courts were obviously reluctant to release him into my care, but agreed he could stay at weekends away from his new foster carers if I put special measures in place.
My nephew has the loft room, which I have to lock of a night, my son and nephew are never aloud alone together and social services visit once a month.
He’s been staying with us a year now and both my son and nephew are healing, my family have walked away from us, they do not support us.

They do not see a broken boy who just needs guidance and love they see a rapist and a fool and a victim.

  • Sex Education, When Is The Right Time?

Mums advice asked 361 members when they think children should get sex education lesson, we were shocked by the results.242 members thought sex education shouldn’t begin until the child is between 10 and 12 years of age.
Others disagreed stating the earlier the better, maybe not about actual intercourse or stds but about about what their parts are called and who can see it or touch them, thus helping to prevent abuse.
Several members felt it best children knew basic terminology and facts to prevent bullying or misinformation in the play ground.
One member said “I don’t agree with them learning about it until they’re 10+ they dont totally understand when they are that young i understand teaching them about keeping safe away from horrible people but my little boy just thinks its funny when he was told about his body parts but on the other hand i do answer him if he asks questions too many children these days are very advanced as well “.

    Another stated
“As young as possible knowledge is power if they have the knowledge they have the power to protect themselves from sti std etc they can make educated and informed choices they will know when to say no and not feel pressured into doing things they don’t want to don’t feel comfy doing”.

    This mum said:

“I’m completely against learning it too young.. my son got sex education age 11 and he became obsessed. Honestly if I could turn back the clock I would opt him out”.

What’s your view on sex education?

What age will you teach your child or would you leave it to the school to do?
