  • Company Changing Babies Skin Colour

This truly upset me and I hope anyone who follows or purchases from this company (PatPat)will reconsider.

This beautiful baby had the colour of her skin and eyes lightened as well as makeup photo shopped on to her face. I read that her mother was also upset about this. What message does this send? Light skin is not more beautiful than dark skin. Light eyes are not better and a baby should never be photoshopped and sexualized in this way. I hope this company loses a lot of business for this choice. And I don’t EVER post negative things like this. This just cant be accepted.

PatPat is an online childrens clothing company who also have an app.

This is a multi faceted issue. One issue is the message being sent to beautiful little girls of color telling them they aren’t perfect just the way they are. The other issue is the way our society is sexualizing children and robbing them of innocence and purity.

Both are equally tragic realities of the world we live in and must change.

  • The Shocking Reality Of The LOL Bigger Surprise

Natalie Harrison has taken to Facebook to share a photo of the LOL dolls £84.99 bigger surprise box.

Harrison said “Anyone thinking of buying the LOl bigger surprise for £84.99 this is what you get”

Harrison’s post has since gone viral having been shared over a hundred thousand times and rising.

Most of the comments claim that it is a rip off, Hannah Smith said “you are better off just buying 8 balls”, Samantha Jane Brunton was angry and said ” I think that’s absolutely disgusting charging that kind of money for such a tiny amount of shite”

However some think it is worth the money, Beth Starkey was passionate with her words ” I’ve got this for my daughter, I couldn’t give a flying fuck what’s in it, she will absolutely love it, I think I’m the only person that actually thinks they are worth the money, t dolls are so cute I want to play with them myself”.

Do you feel the price tag shouldn’t matter as the look on your childs face on christmas morning is priceless.

Gillian McVittie is on a budget but had a brilliant idea to cut costs Mcvittie said “I’ve bought some of the wraps, glitter dolls, pets and other bits and making a goodie box up myself. I plan to wrap a box and them all in tissue paper or something  inside , I will also be adding LOL colouring books and bubble bath”.

Whats your view on the whole LOL range? Are you gong to spend a lot of money on them and maybe buy the £84 bigget surprise box or possibly even purchase the LOL surprise house playset which are selling at the lowest price of £160.

  • The Sad Reality Of A Child With Food Allergies

The sad reality of allergies/ intolerance’s. Behind all the smiling photos, fun days out and snuggles under the duvet watching their favourite film are the real feeling of fear, pain & illness.

To often we post the proud pictures of our children with big smiles & it’s all to easy to forget how they really feel.

That big smiley picture I posted on social media this morning of my fun-loving chap soon wore away as the day went on, being replaced slowly by stomach cramps, abdo pain & diarrhoea. The tears came & again the feeling of “why me”all because he put his hand near on his mouth after traveling on a train.

My son is allergic to nuts, wheat, glucose and lactose intolerant, we have to be very very careful of what he eats and how it is prepared, even a bread crumb can cause pain and discomfort.

The slightest wrong food can cause an  awful night of toilet runs & overall a feeling of sadness and yes even children can feel depression. So the next time you see a child that can’t have something don’t just think ” oh they should be used to it by now” because they may put on a smile but inside they do cry, they do sometimes need a hug & they do feel hurt at their difference to everyone else.

Birthday parties are awful for my son to attend, we have to  take a packed lunch which my son is fine with, but seeing all his friends eating cake, pizza and all these bright coloured exciting food makes him sad, we have to ensure he never puts his hand near his mouth as like ive said the slightest crumb causes havoc with his health.

It really is a sad reality that a 5-year-old child is fearful of everything in case he becomes ill, the last thing he needs is hearing people say “surely he will grow out of it” or “maybe try a little bit at a time and increasing his intake” allergies can not only be deadly but also soul-destroying and depressing

  • Unless You Have Lost A Parent You Won’t Understand

Unless you have lost a parent you won’t understand the days where half of you is completely gone, you can’t get out of bed, have no motivation for anything, not even to eat or drink, not to wash or brush your hair or get dressed.

The days you cry for hours. The days you drive yourself insane asking yourself if it was your fault and could you have changed anything. The days of waking up taking multiple different medications just to try to keep your brain stable.

The days of anger and rage where you feel everything is against you. The days you are triggered by something so slight that it will make you burst into tears. The days of seeing little girls happy with their fathers or hearing people say “hello dad” on the phone. The days of wishing, hoping, begging to turn back time.

The days of wondering what the future would have been like and imagining all the happy times you could have had. The days of wishing that it would have happened later on in many many years down the line so you could have experienced life together and been by each other’s sides. The days of wishing you had a family to support you through, or just someone to call when your crying all alone.

But this is the reality that I have to wake up to every day. These are the days I spend with my dad now, cuddling his ashes and having one-sided conversations only imagining what his replies would be, a voice in my head and a memory in my heart.

It’s important to remember that just because we walk around with normal faces it doesn’t mean we aren’t dying and broken inside.

I wrote this to show that these are “the days” I face now. They will never understand but maybe they might realise just how hard it truly is. I suffer every single day.

I’m so glad this post is bringing comfort to people, we are not alone in this x
