  • Experiment Shows The Danger Of Covering Babies Pram

⚠️ I know this subject has been posted many a times, but still to this day, I see babies/ children in pushchairs on very sunny and hot days with blankets draped over them to block the sun and heat out…. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!! ⚠️

👶🏻 Today I did an experiment with my baby in her pushchair, to be able to show what actually happens to the temperature 👶🏻….

🔆Dolly had her factor 50, 5* UVA suncream on, her drink to keep her hydrated and sun hat on.

But it was still hot, so I thought I’d put a blanket over her to block the sun out 🔆

‼️ I also popped a thermometer in with Dolly.

The temperature before a cover over her was about 35 degrees.

After just 12 minutes I thought I’d see how it was going….The temperature had risen to 45 degrees!! Another 15 minutes later we were pushing onto nearly 50 degrees ‼️

All I can say is, thank goodness Dolly is a dolly.

Please, please think before you do this to an actual child as the thought of the outcome is just unbearable.

Please share the life out of this post to reach people who may not know how severe doing this could be!

  • Joie Stroller Burn Risk

    WARNING!!

For all you moms looking for strollers to keep your little ones cool this summer, please stay away from Joie. A couple of weeks ago I bought this Joie Nitro Stroller from Argos and 2 days ago while walking to my daughters Nanny’s house the frame of the stroller got so hot in the bank holiday sun that it burnt her finger.

We weren’t out in the stroller for long, 1 hour tops! And in that time the frame got hot enough to blister her finger so much that we had to take a trip to the hospital.

    Joie Stroller Burn Risk

Joie claims to ‘put every piece of every product through extreme testing’ in order to keep our babies safe. However, in my experience this was not the case.

I did not want to put this on Facebook but I didn’t want anyone else to go through the same thing!

    EDIT**

For those of you say that ‘metal gets hot’ I’m not an idiot I know metal gets hot but strollers should be made out of non conducting material so it doesn’t get dangerously hot enough to burn any of our babies. BASIC SCIENCE

  • Greater Anglia Don’t Cater For Infants

A lady named Loren Jackson has taken to Facebook to share her disgust at her treatment when travelling on Greater Anglia trains and how Greater Anglia Don’t Cater For Infants .

    Jackson said:

“How ‘Greater Anglia’ expect a 5 month old to travel when we have paid for reserved seats! She is balanced on top of suitcases!

Also had to stand in the toilet so my son could stand 👍 so not only did we wait at the platform for at least twenty minutes which was empty until the over sold carriage arrived, only to be barged out-of-the-way by fully grown adults whilst pushing a baby in a pram and two young toddlers at my side, one who was almost pushed down on to the tracks between the train and platform.. to be the first waiting but last person on after the conductor told me unless she was folded down and balanced in the luggage hold of the train, we wouldn’t be allowed on to the train.

Not one person gave up their seat or even moved their handbag from the floor for two-three year old boys.

When we went to complain we were given a small leaflet and told to post it, nobody was interested in listening then.

Please share Greater Anglia should be ashamedof this ladies treatment.

  • Cosatto pram dangerous

A lady named Diane Boan is trying raise awareness of the dangers of the Cosatto pram.

I just can’t not belive it… my cosatto pram has just snapped in half with lily in it!!! 😠😬😠😡😡 please think twice before buying these prams..

We was crossing a busy road and if I hadn’t of dragged the broken pram out the road so quick it could of been so different I was so shaken up lily’s luckily OK with only a small bump to her head I’ve contacted cosatto with no reply as yet.. my frame was recalled four months ago and I was told this batch was SAFE clearly not!!!

If they spent as much time on the frame rather than beautiful designs maybe they wouldn’t have this problem!! Just wanted to warn others and save any one having this happen to them 😡😠

  • Do Not Cover Your Baby

Seeing a parent pushing a pushchair with a blanket draped over it is a fairly common sight. However, Doctors have warned it could potentially be fatal. It would quickly become uncomfortable and potentially dangerous for the baby … if a baby gets too hot then the baby may think that it is back in the womb, which is why breathing may stop.
An experiment was conducted when the pushchair was left on a normal summers day  uncovered the temperature did not rise above 22C. A thin cover was then placed over the pushchair. After 30 minutes the heat inside had risen 34C. An hour after it was a sweltering 37C.

Parents end up resorting to draping blankets over their prams to give babies some shade from the heat and darkness to help them sleep, but what they’re not considering is that these blankets or sheets are not manufactured to be breathable.

Regardless of what you choose to use on your pushchair, it is common sense to keep your baby cool and shaded in hot weather. The sunlight is made even more dangerous by UV, so if you can also use something that blocks these rays, your baby will feel even cooler.
