  • Is This The Worst Or Best Baby Name Ever?

Ok so when we received this message via our Facebook page a few years ago we weren’t sure if it was real but we felt it had to posted and help this dad out.

The dad said “Hi can I have a post please, I split from my girlfriend a few months back and she’s just given birth to our son, this is great im so excited to be a dad.

But she’s named the baby Keith, not only do I not like the name but even his initials spell Keith

    K…Keith     E…Edgar   I..Ian  T…Thomas   H… Holmes.

The new dad went on to express his fear of introducing baby Keith to his friends, saying how do you tell people that your child is named after a 50-year-old Scottish ginger brawler, I can’t change the nappy of a kid called Keith, Keith is for old people or ugly fat blokes, help can I change his name even after she has registered it?

Mums Advice members laughed at the name choice and asked if it was even real, after a few hours the father posted a photo of his new babies birth certificate and people were shocked.

People thought it was cruel to name a child Keith but even worse to have his initials spelling out the name too, one woman even said that the woman needed to seek mental health help.

However many men and woman thought the name was lovely and that they themselves had a child called Keith, but added that the initials was a step too far.

What are your thoughts on the name Keith? Is it a nice traditional name or outdated and awful?

Would you consider naming your child this? Do you feel it is nice but the initials are too much?

Do your own children have different or unique names, how do you deal with others criticising it?

  • Listing Certain Names In Your Phone Can Be Very Dangerous

A lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag, which contained her mobile phone, credit card, purse, etc., was stolen.

20 minutes later when she called her husband, from a phone she had borrowed off of a stranger telling him what had happened, he was astonished & told her . . ‘Oh god.. I received your text asking about our Pin number and I’ve replied a little while ago.

When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen mobile phone to text “hubby” in the contact list & got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank account.

    IMPORTANT lesson:

    a. Do not disclose the relationship between you & the people in your contact list. Always avoid using names like Home, Missus, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mum, etc.

    b. And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts, do not respond BUT immediately CONFIRM by calling back.

    c. Also, when you receive a text unexpectedly from friends or family asking you to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don’t reach them, be very careful about going places to meet ‘family and friends’ who text you.

    PLEASE PASS THIS ON. .

Even if this doesn’t pertain to you …. Pass it on to your family and friends. It may be useful.

  • Why Won’t She Change Her Surname

I need to know if I am in the wrong here, I am pretty sure I am not.

My partner was married for 11 years to the mother of his three children, I met him 2 years after they had split and we are very happy together and I get on really well with his three children there is only one problem, my partners ex-wife!!!

She kept his surname when they split and I didn’t say anything straight away I then asked him why she still had it when they are divorced, he did not answer me.

Since then she has remarried changed her name to her new married name divorced again and gone back to my partners surname.

Am I wrong in asking him to ask her to go to her maiden name and not his name?? We are going through a bad patch on the verge of splitting up as it is. I have to deal with her going to his family parties which I hate and now she has gone back to his name.

We were planning to get married in the next few years but I refuse while she has his name. Surely when u divorce u would go back to your maiden name.

He argues that she may want the same surname as their children but this argument is invalid as surely she would have kept that name when she married her last husband, i cannot share the same name as her, especially as she is still unfortunately very much part of our lives.

Everyone I have spoken to says that it is strange or one person commented that her maiden name must be awful to avoid using it again (it’s a pretty normal surname) am I wrong to feel upset and annoyed by this or am I being selfish or unnecessarily annoyed?

  • Derek Will Not Kill Me I Won’t Let Him

Derek will not kill me I won’t let him.

Three months ago I was diagnosed with a Cancerous tumour on my brain.

My loving husband Philip was sat by my side as the doctor told me, and explained about the treatment I would need, I couldn’t take it all in at the time but have come to terms now that I have a long hard battle ahead.

On the drive to my parents to collect my children it dawned on me I would have to tell my young children but how, how do you tell your children that you will lose your hair, you will be in pain, you will vomit and you won’t be able to do the things you want to do without help and will ave t spend a lot of time at the hospital.

Morgan is 6 and Summer 4 both were far too young to understand what Cancer was and I didn’t want them to be scared my husband and I spoke at length at how to tell them and we had a starting plan.

I made my husband sit them down and he said “mummy has a naughty lump in her head called Derek, but the doctors have a super juice called Betty that will help kick Derek out, but Betty is so powerful that mummy’s hair might fall out, and mummy may get tired or be a little ill but Betty is going to get naughty Derek out”.

My beautiful young children know that Derek makes mummy ill and will talk to him and tell him to get out.

I didn’t want to scare my babies and every day they thank Betty for making my hair come out in clumps, Betty is doing her job and my babies understand that when I throwing up or struggle to get out of bed that it’s for a good reason, when mummy is at hospital she’s going to visit her hero little miss Betty.

Betty will not let Derek kill my babies mum I’m going to fight this every day and it helps so much that my children aren’t scared and don’t quite understand.

Betty and I are going to kick Dereks arse

  • Is This The Greatest Baby Name

Ok so when we received this message last year we weren’t sure if it was real or not but my god did it make us laugh.

Hi can I have a post please, I split from my girlfriend a few months back and she’s just given birth to our son, this is great im so excited to be a dad.

But she’s named the baby Keith, not only do I not like the name but even his initials spell Keith

The new dad went on to express his fear of introducing baby Keith to his friends, saying how do you tell people that your child is named after a 50 year old Scottish brawler.

Mums Advice members laughed at the name choice but took pity on this poor new dad, many defended the name Keith saying it was a lovely name but the initials were too much.

Is this the best baby name ever?
