  • If You See This On Your Child Get Them Seen ASAP

    I’ve been in two minds whether to post this but my husband convinced me as he said if I hadn’t been here he wouldn’t have realised. I am sure there are other parents who wouldn’t either and the only reason I knew is because it had happened to a friend’s son 2 years ago and she had shared.

    A week or so ago the littlest fell over at the zoo. He took quite a bashing but once we got home I cleaned him up. I rang school on Farm school day to make sure he washed his hands after digging and I tried hard to ensure it was kept clean (hand and elbow). He’s an 8 yr old boy however.

    The wounds didn’t look infected- they’d got bigger so I was concerned but they weren’t gunky etc. Yesterday on our way to the beach he showed me his hand. I wasn’t happy as I noticed red tracking down his vein. I then checked his elbow – the same. I took him down to the out of hours feeling a bit silly but when the doctor saw it he commended me on recognising it and getting down ASAP.

    This is blood poisoning/ sepsis. It isn’t something you can’t “leave” until Monday when the doctors are back in the office.

    Thankfully the antibiotics are working and he is well in himself! If you spot this red line running from a wound along the vein get yourself/ your child seen straight away. Hopefully my post might help someone the way my friend’s post from 2 years ago helped me 😍

  • Kinder Egg Warning-Parents Be Aware

    Georgina Trinder has taken to Facebook to warn other parents about the potential dangers from a certain toy contained in Kinder eggs.

    Trinder said “Hey mummies , just wanna make people aware … I brought my son a kinder egg and inside was bits to build an aeroplane and well…. ended up at the hospital because the wings was so Sharp!! He had to have his foot glued … even the nurses at the hospital was so disgusted with how sharp it was , the age limit does say no under 3s but my son is 3 years old and the could have done damage to an adult let alone a kid …. just wanna let parents know to please be careful with the toys you get from kinder eggs xx”

    Kinder surprise also known as Kinder eggs or Ovetto Kinder is manufactored by Ferrero and have been around since 1974. Each chocoloate egg surrounds a plastic capsule that contains a small toy, parents are advised to always supervise their child/ren when eating a Kinder egg and to check the toys for sharp or broken parts.

    Last option i wanted to do. But i relied on the police to take matters into their own hands and serve the time towards him for hurting my son. Not just a slap on the wrist and get let out. Sat at home all happy as ever now. You slapped my son across the face that hard it bruised his ears and left a full hand print on his face not red marks full bruises . You deserved time for what you did to my 2-year-old son! A child you claimed to of ‘loved like your own’ its about time I named and shamed you.

    It’s not fair at all the justice system is fucked😡. I’ve also contacted my local mp I aint giving up you deserve to do time for what you did . Even if it means me appealing and having to go through court again ill do it !!! CONNOR BROOK you absolute monster. It’s about time everyone knew what you did and who you are! You aint the innocent person people think you are!😡 I promise I aint giving up you will serve time for hurting my child!

    Everyone SHARE the fuck out of this!!!! (Photos added of my sons face so everyone out their also knows what he did to my son, and how a mess his face was because that’s what this horrible human being did) all cause its his first offence he got away😡. ( people who want to believe ‘how do we know it was him and not her’ well the court we had in october our last court it was finding a fact hearing, he admitted it in court if he didn’t admit it and she couldn’t decide who had done it my son would have gone up for adoption bit of common sense really) plus if I wanted to i can get proof off my solicitor .

    I bet he couldn’t prove it though cause he signed the paper work where he confessed. 🤷🏽‍♀️ more fool you if you believe him but don’t be so stupid my son wouldn’t be in my arms right now if i had done this plus the medical shows LARGE left HAND which im right-handed and also have very tiny hands🤷🏽‍♀️ Nicole Louise hinde

  • Are You Risking Injuring Your Child When Picking Them Up?

    How many times have you picked up your child by their arm? Have you ever playfully swung them by their arm? Take a read of this and find out why you should not.

    Nursemaid’s elbow is a common injury in young children. It is sometimes referred to as “pulled elbow” because it can happen when a young child’s elbow is pulled and partially dislocates. The medical term for the injury is “radial head subluxation.”

    Because a young child’s bones and muscles are still developing and growing, it takes very little force to pull the bones of the elbow partially out-of-place, making this injury very common. It occurs most often in children ages 1 to 4, but can happen any time from birth up to 7 years of age.

    Although the injury may cause a lot of pain, a doctor usually can easily reset the elbow, quickly relieving any discomfort and restoring arm movement although the child may require a sling and pain relief.

    Nursemaid’s elbow normally happens when an adult holds a child’s hand or wrist and pulls suddenly on the arm to avoid a dangerous situation such as walking out into the road or to help the child up a step. The injury may also occur whilst playing when an older friend or family member swings a child around holding just the arms or hands, many parents have done this by both holding a child’s hand and swinging them as they walk along.

    Nursemaid’s elbow is hardly ever caused by falling over. If a child injures the elbow when falling onto an outstretched hand or directly onto the elbow, it may be a broken bone rather than nursemaid’s elbow.

  • Please Make Your Child Wear A Helmet

    Joanna Bringham wants to raise awareness of bike safety

    Bringham said “🚲Please please make your child wear a helmet. 🚲

    This week we have been living in a nightmare. Jules went out for 10 minutes after tea on his bike and bumped into friends where they were all trying jumps. Not long after this I had a bang at the door and our nightmare started.

    Jules got rushed to hospital where staff looked after him brilliantly. He spent hours bringing up blood so took him for a ct scan. This showed up he had several complex fractures in his orbit and were transferring him York. All day jules was having different check ups , But by the evening we discovered that jules also had a fractured skull and developed a bleed on the brain which meant we had another ambulance trip to Leeds.

    Staff at Leeds we’re amazing with us we were under several drs who looked after different areas that jules had damaged and had surgery to clean up his face.

    While we were in Leeds the nursing staff told us that fractured skulls from wearing no helmet was common in the hospital. Jules fell from his eye down so would have suffered either way but who no’s how different this would have been if I had made him go out in his.

    We still have a long few weeks ahead of us but jules is a fighter and will do it with a smile on his face.

    Please please please make sure your child wears a helmet at all times when going out on a bike. No mum or dad wants to go through what we went through. Let’s make it cool to wear a helmet.

  • To The Girl Who Decided To Bully My Daughter Today

    Cassie Archon’s young daughter was viciously beaten by her school bully and sadly this seems to be happening more and more, schools have little control or punishment methods to prevent what happens on the walk home, the school may have bullying policies but these seem to have little effect, some parents have little interest in their children and have no real authority at home, teenagers don’t seem to have any real worry about their consequences as parents don’t have the same respect as years ago, it’s a worrying time when your child can’t even walk home from school safely.

    Archon took to social media to rant about what happened to her innocent young daughter.

    Archon said: To the little girl who decided to bully my daughter today! You might have pushed her down, tossed her around and between you and your friend you bruised her c-spine by punching her……But, you WILL NOT get away with it. This is the 3rd time with each time getting worse. I promise you I’ll find the video on instagram! I promise you I WILL protect my daughter! NO parent should ever have to hear that their child was jumped by other kids, especially at the age of 11!! This society has gotten ridiculous with its protection of the ones that bully and the discipline on the ones being bullied. My daughter isn’t perfect but she by no means deserves to be beaten! We live 3/4 of a mile from her school and she can’t even walk home safely!!

    YOUR PARENTS SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!

  • Even A Small Bump On The Head Can Be Serious

    Paige Ferguson has taken to Facebook to warn others to ensure they take any head trauma so seek medical attention if unsure.

    Ferguson said: I have really been contemplating posting this. But, I need Colton to be an advocate. I need people to realize the seriousness of a head injury. This started from him falling from a bed that is only 2ft off the ground. He had a bump on his head. A bump. He was crying, acting alert and at one point even smiled.

    Because we are paranoid parents, we decided to get him evaluated. We thought for sure they were going to say he hit his head, has a bump, and he will be fine. Not the case…He fractured his skull and bled half of his entire blood volume into his brain. I’m going to be blunt here…Colton may not live. Colton may live and never walk or talk, Colton may be fine, Colton may be delayed. Its up in the air right now and he is still fighting for his life because we are not out of the woods. This is a nightmare.

    I don’t want other parents going through this…i dont want any kid to go through this. Please take any hit to the head seriously. I cant say this enough. My heart is broken. Our child is laying in front of us yet we miss him so terribly. I need you to hear me…get your kids checked out! Please. The old tale of “if the bump is outward you’re safe.” is NOT true.

    Please continue to pray for him. I am trying to thank everyone but, because there are so many of you amazing people, its hard. I love and appreciate all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  • Trampoline Parks Don’t Stop People Jumping When Injured

    One woman wants to warn others about trampoline parks

    Cortney Moreno said “As hard as it is to relive the past 3 months, we want to make other parents aware of the danger associated with indoor trampoline parks.

    “Dominic went on his birthday (March 17th) what was supposed to be an innocent night, turned into a nightmare. Dominic was doubled bounced by a much older/bigger teenager. The employee of the trampoline park told our son to stand up (as if he could walk off) knowing another kid was still jumping in his square. As he was trying to stand, that kid bounced next to him instantly making him collapse. He could no longer stand up after that.

    “See-they do not make other kids stop jumping if someone is injured. The end result Dominic fell and broke his tibia, both growth plates and his knee muscle had completely flipped over. This all happened within 30 minutes of being there. Innocently jumping to celebrate his birthday.

    “Come to find out, trampolines parks are a leading injury to children. We had no clue!

    “While undergoing 3 different surgeries (one of which was over 12+hours). Dominic had to have his knee muscle flipped back into place-a clamp installed to hold it together, external fixators installed on the side of his leg to stretch his growth plates and a metal rod to hold it all together. They installed a pain catheter for 3 days as well. All the while, having a broken tibia. We had to stay in the hospital for 5 days because the pain was so unbearable.

    “Our lives have been turned upside down since Dominic’s accident 3 months ago. Every day was a struggle for this sweet boy as he adjusted to life in a hospital bed in our living room. He was restricted to the bed, no movement. He became used to urinating in a cup for almost 2 months, sponge baths by his mother every other day, the most movement his could endure was when someone would hold his leg (not over 6 inches) so we could change his sheets. He had to finish 3rd grade in his hospital bed with his teacher coming after school everyday to tutor him. The countless nights of crying in pain and feeling helpless.

    “The Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics study showed most trampoline-related fractures occurred in kids (92.7 percent occurred in people ages 16 and younger). We were shocked to see this statistic-especially because you find the indoor trampoline parks are advertised everywhere for “fun for kids”.

    “Dominic is learning to walk again and is in physical therapy 4 days a week. He has a long road ahead-both mentally and physically to get back to where he was before the night of his birthday at the indoor trampoline park. He will return every 6 months for X-rays of his growth plates until he’s an adult. To ensure they are growing properly. The basic things we take for granted like walking normal, running, bending or riding a bike are things our 9-year-old dreams of doing one day.

    “We share this with you today to spread awareness that these indoor trampoline parks are not safe. We hope by sharing Dominic’s story it will prevent a child and their family from experiencing the trauma and heartbreak associated with trampoline injuries in young children.”

  • Vulnerable Child Restrained by Four Adult Males

    A distraught mum has shared images of her badly beaten daughter we would like to help to prevent this from happening to another child and raise awareness

    The mum Claire Nossiter said:

    My daughter is disabled she has autism and PWS. She can be a handful but we as a family have always tried to do our very best.

    She attended a school for complex needs which is of the highest care need. The local authority provided a 1-1 during school hours this was a woman. Well on the 7th March 2012 my daughter returned from school looking like the pictures below.

    This happened as 4 MALE members of school staff restrained her. She was sent home to me looking like this. I took her to hospital as I thought her jaw was broken. She was admitted to Yorkhill where I was questioned by police. As the consultant of 22 years experience had originally thought my story was bazaar ….that a school did this her original thoughts was it was me !!!!

    The police attended and got statements etc They did a very poor investigation at this time but in Nov 2016 reopened investigation (after I complained)and charged 2 of the NLC employees involved culpable and reckless conduct. Well the crown office have decided not to take this to court and I want justice. Please can I ask you help me in getting the justice my vulnerable daughter deserves…

    Our justice system is all wrong.

    Every single staff member of the school are guilty as far as I’m concerned as each of them witnessed this or saw the aftermath but not one of them reported this.

    No one will silence me…. I will not go away…. I will continue to fight like I have done for years for my daughter.

    If I had done this to Lyndsay she would have been removed from my care but because it’s NLC staff it’s ok….. on her medical notes the doctor wrote to many bruises to count. Our justice system should protect the most vulnerable but it hasn’t done that in this case. I am asking you all to help me petition this and share this.

    Amanda Mcbride has taken to social media to share her story.

    McBride said: So I have been contemplating posting anything since this tragic event happens in our lives Thursday evening.

    It was just like any regular night Elouise and I had just gotten out of the bath and Donnie took her to get her dressed and give her some milk and I was getting ready for bed when all of a sudden I heard growling and screaming. We then spent the next 10 hours in the hospital.

    Just like any other night Elouise was laying with Buck (there dog) drinking her milk, only this time I don’t know if she touched him funny or what but he lost control.

    This happened within two feet of Donnie being right there by their side. These two were best friends. They’ve been inseparable since we brought Elouise home, they haven’t left each other’s sides. They’ve grown up together. I’m sharing this because I want those who think there’s no way this could happen, to see what happened to someone who thought the exact same thing.

    I was wrong. I totally trusted him, and he had never done anything for me to think otherwise. I was the person that thought this would never happen to me. There is no way because he loves me and he loves us and was always so sweet and loving to those he knew.

    I know some will read this and feel bad and sorry for us and still think that there is no way this could happen to you. Well after the roller coaster experience I just dealt with I am telling you unfortunately there is a possibility and there is a chance that the furbaby you love so much could do this.

    Anyone who knows me, knows the love I have for animals which was why this experience was even more difficult.

    Our beautiful Elouise is doing better and we keep praying everyday for a quick recovery. We appreciate any prayers you could send our way. With that being said with a sad heart we put Buck to sleep yesterday and lost the furbaby of our family. For friends and family we haven’t personally contacted we are sorry but appreciate any and all prayers you could send to the Wade family. I also want to thank those that have been there through this awful experience we really appreciate it.
