  • Mums Warning About Public Toilet After Daughter Hurt

I Would like to warn any parent with young children in public toilets or anybody really, I was with my daughter and my little sister who is 4-year-old well my little sister asked to use the toilets in McDonald’s by herself I thought nothing of it as she goes to the toilet herself at home but I was standing right outside the door while it was still unlocked when two girls about the age 14-15 walk out laughing their heads off I thought nothing of it until I heard my little sister scream hysterically in pain and agony it wasn’t the scream what frightened me it was how she screamed.

It seems that those 2 girls who walked out literally crying of fucking laughter put superglue on the toilet seat so that it causes my 4-year-old little sister to get stuck not only that but it was hot super glue so it was starting to burn her and when we eventually got her off the toilet seat when I had to get a manager and people who worked at McDonald’s to help they immediately phoned the police and an ambulance to check her out and when they eventually got her off after causing her so much pain her skin was sore and on her bottom half her skin came entirely off!!

I have never been in so much shock in my fucking life, they have checked the security cameras of people walking out the toilets so I really hope they get back to me if they have caught them 2 girls because it is absolutely shocking of what they did, just thought I would warn anybody to start and check the toilet seat when they go to a public toilet

  • When You Think About It We All Have A Favourite Child

I know I shouldn’t admit it especially to a mum website with some seriously judgemental woman, but I have a favourite child. Secretly when you think of it we all do but most are too afraid to admit it in case of backlash from other parents. I know it’s wrong but I can’t help loving one more than the other.

My son has always been trying screaming all night, fighting me for any reason, never doing as he’s told and not giving me a minutes peace. He’s been even worse since i had his sister 3 years ago now the constant demand for attention wears me out. I thought once he started school it would be easier but no, my daughter on the other hand is so placid and loving. Shes so much easier and better behaved than her brother that I can’t help favoring her.

Is it wrong that i prefer to play with her and not her brother, even her toys are more interesting, when I walk round the shops I am drawn to the pretty outfits for my baby girl, but hate buying nice outfits for my son, he is so messy and any clothes will quickly be stained.

I love both of my children but i can’t help loving one more than the other. I would never let anyone know how I feel and hope one day I can love them both equally but until then I’ll love my daughter more in secret. I would never see any harm come to my son and will do everything in my power to make sure he doesn’t know I favour his sister over him.

You may think what I’ve said is bad but if you think of it are you sure you haven’t got a favourite too every parent does don’t they?

  • Vulnerable Child Restrained by Four Adult Males

A distraught mum has shared images of her badly beaten daughter we would like to help to prevent this from happening to another child and raise awareness

vulnerable Child Restrained by Four Adult Males

My daughter is disabled she has autism and PWS. She can be a handful but we as a family have always tried to do our very best.

She attended a school for complex needs which is of the highest care need. The local authority provided a 1-1 during school hours this was a woman. Well on the 7th March 2012 my daughter returned from school looking like the pictures below.

This happened as 4 MALE members of school staff restrained her. She was sent home to me looking like this. I took her to hospital as I thought her jaw was broken. She was admitted to Yorkhill where I was questioned by police. As the consultant of 22 years experience had originally thought my story was bazaar ….that a school did this her original thoughts was it was me !!!!

The police attended and got statements etc They did a very poor investigation at this time but in Nov 2016 reopened investigation (after I complained)and charged 2 of the NLC employees involved culpable and reckless conduct. Well the crown office have decided not to take this to court and I want justice. Please can I ask you help me in getting the justice my vulnerable daughter deserves…

Our justice system is all wrong.

Every single staff member of the school are guilty as far as I’m concerned as each of them witnessed this or saw the aftermath but not one of them reported this.

No one will silence me…. I will not go away…. I will continue to fight like I have done for years for my daughter.

If I had done this to Lyndsay she would have been removed from my care but because it’s NLC staff it’s ok….. on her medical notes the doctor wrote to many bruises to count. Our justice system should protect the most vulnerable but it hasn’t done that in this case. I am asking you all to help me petition this and share this.

  • Nurse chose to close the door to our room and not do anything, no doctor ever came

Jalena Gunther took to Facebook to tell others about the care her daughter received at The Stollery Children’s Hospital a 150 bed children’s hospital that opened in October 2001. It is a “hospital within a hospital,” being situated within the University of Alberta Hospital and co-located with Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Gunther said: I feel sick. The Stollery has failed my child. Emmy had open heart surgery 4 days ago. They hooked Emmys IV fluid up at 6pm last night. Emmy screamed in pain from 7pm till 4:45 am when she finally gave up and passed out. We asked for pain meds, we asked for a doctor at 8:45pm, and at 10pm we asked if the doctor was coming, we said we need something, this isn’t Emmy and isn’t ok.

The Nurse at the Stollery chose to close the door to our room and not do anything, no doctor ever came. Emmy was under close op care which requires the nurse to physically check her every 15 minutes. We were lucky if we seen the nurse 1-2 times an hour. Protocol requires IV’s to be checked every hour. Emmys was never checked. 3 different nurses came into Emmys room and all 3 missed it.

At shift change our new nurse came in to do her assessment around 8am. The nurse immediately found that’s Emmys IV went interstitial. She pulled it out immediately but the damage was severe. She is now in the OR having her hand cut open to relieve pressure, drain fluid and remove the dead skin.

Next week she will require another surgery to do a skin graft. This was 100% avoidable if the nurse did her job. Not only was protocol grossly neglected, there was zero empathy for a child crying and screaming in pain for hours. Her iv leaked into her hand for over 12 hours, causing extreme pain and severe damage. This is not ok. Since when did this become the world-class care the Stollery is known for?

  • The Toy That Is Hurting Children And Stressing Out Parents

Well Christmas has been and gone and children are finally getting a chance to spend quality time playing.

Some of the presents have already broken, some are yet to be opened but one toy is causing multiple parents nothing but pain and misery and even hurting children.

How could a seemingly innocent toy do this? Well it’s not the endless annoying sounds of a child’s toy, or the messy playdoh staining carpets or a nerf gun or even treding n the dreaded lego.

It’s the seemingly innocent looking bunchems.

Bunchems are a building toy, Squish, Connect and Create with Bunchems! The colourful little balls that stick to each other and build like no other that’s what the advertisements say.

    But what are they really?

They are evil little hair destroyers, they stick in pets hair, and little boys and girls hair.

Mums advice spoke with a Colchester hair dresser and she said she has seen 3 distraught parents with Bunchems stuck in their child’s hair.

Parents are asking for a warning to be placed on the box and warning others to ensure their child’s hair is tied back or to accidentally throw them away when their child isn’t looking.

One mum even had their child bleeding due to bunchems, her daughter had snuck them out of the play cupboard whilst her mum was on the phone.

The little girl had then got them stuck in her hair and was scared to tell her mum and get in trouble and tried to pull them out herself, she pulled so hard she made her head bleed.

Luckily no serious damage was done and the little girl didn’t get Into trouble just advised not to hide things like this and to let a grown up know.

Do you have bunchems? Have you had a problem with them?

  • Don’t Walk away

What do you do when you feel like everything is against you, that your constantly sad but you don’t know why.

That the only way to feel is to drink or to cut.

When your friends and family are all bored of hearing about how your feeling.

You know you need help but have no where to turn, your doctor just wants to give you pills, but all they do is dull your senses.

When all the advice people give you is “you’re better off than others”, “cheer up a bit”, “have you tried being happy”.

No shit Sherlock do you really think I chose to feel this way?

What people need to understand is no one with depression wants to feel down or have self loothing.

Listen to them, support them, and be there for them, do not walk away, do not assume they are attention seeking, love them, help them and be a constant shoulder to cry on
