  • It’s Not Just Corona Killing Us

IT’S NOT JUST CORONA KILLING US

    Hear this:

-YOU don’t care about the people that will kill themselves out of hopelessness
-YOU don’t care about small businesses that’ll close their doors (THEIR LIVELIHOOD) permanently
-YOU don’t care about the children/women/men that’ll be victims of domestic abuse
-YOU don’t care about people defaulting on their mortgages
-YOU don’t care about bills going unpaid by families with ZERO income right now
-YOU don’t care about people wondering where their next meal will come from
-YOU don’t care about the people that’ll lose their sobriety and slip back into alcoholism and drug use
-YOU don’t care about the people that will starve
-YOU support the inevitable looting that’ll take place
-YOU don’t care about anyone that’s murdered the longer this shut down goes on
-YOU don’t care about people’s mental health
-YOU don’t care about the children that DO need teachers and educators to guild & educate them
-YOU don’t care about the economy crashing down around us
-YOU don’t care about those losing their lives to hundreds of other reasons for real.

    -YOU DON’T CARE.

    -YOU love your shackles
-YOU are pathetic begging your leaders for MORE shut down and MORE regulations

I will NOT tolerate another person telling me that I don’t care about lives. I care about the situation in its entirety.

But YOU don’t care about any of that so…

    YOU stay home.
    YOU wear a mask.
    YOU live in fear.

    From a fed up mother

  • I Gave Up Work And Now Travel The World

“I’m sorry but Jenny never showed up for her shift, I know it’s supposed to be your day off but I’m stuck in meetings and need you to go open the bar right now.”

The text you never want to see from your boss. I seemed to receive some version of this text all too often. 😒

“Are you serious? Come on man, I just worked the last 6 nights in a row”

    “Please, I’m desperate…”

And that was how I got roped in to working on my only day off, again. 😒🔫

As the electric motor that lifted the big metal gate covering the bar’s patio grinded to life and the “clack, clack, clack” sound of the metal slabs of the slowly lifting gated rang in my ears I thought about how I’d originally gotten into this

business for the flexible hours. But these days it seemed more like a fantasy, working nights, so I could have my days open to work on my production left me with out a social life and too exhausted to think.

I unlocked the heavy glass door and walked into the dark bar, leaving the sunny warm day behind me and took in the

smell of stale beer and whatever the kitchen guys had been frying up last night.

    Gross. 🍺🍔

“Why is the AC always set to arctic freeze in here” I said out loud to the empty bar as I started turning on lights and

    counting drawers. 🥶

This isn’t the life I had envisioned for myself after almost 18 years of living and grinding in LA. I took this job because

the money was great, but only as long as I was there ALL THE TIME!!

I missed more birthdays and events than I could count and hadn’t been on a vacation, not even a weekend getaway in ages.

For the last two years I had worked every weekend, and holiday, No matter how big or how small; Christmas, New Years, valentines day, presidents day, the fourth of July, you name it, I was there, behind that bar, and I was over it!

I wanted to pay off my debt, finish choreographing and produce my cabaret show and never step foot into another bar I wasn’t drinking in or performing in ever again!

Plus I’d always had this dream, ever since I was a little girl, looking at the photos from my parents 6 month, around the

world vacation, to travel! And not just a week here or there, but to really travel, to spend a month in a place and get to really feel what it would be like to live there. To experience different cultures and lifestyles. 🌎✨

How was I already 36 years old and still working a dead-end job just to barely get by.

When my parents were my age they were already married, owned a house, had two kids and had been all the way around the world.

What went wrong?! What did I do?!?

Something had to change and it had to change fast!!

I felt anxious and resentful that my life was passing me by and I was going to miss out! What if I never got the chance to travel full time? The thought sent chills down my spine.

Then a miracle happened, my bar got sold. They announced it the day I closed escrow on my house, my $300k

mortgage depending completely on my job security. I was terrified! 😯

But wait, sometimes out of the biggest tragedies comes our biggest triumphs, and mine was getting fired.

Yep, I slaved away at this dumb bar, making someone else rich, sacrificing my friends, my relationships and my dreams only to get Fired!?!?!

I didn’t see it in the moment, but it would turn out to be the best thing for me. 🎉

It meant I could cut my hours, and finally finish my show! Which I did!! And to sold out audiences our entire run!! 🙌

🙏 I’d never been happier. But now I faced a cross roads. I could stay in LA and build my show, which meant more 16 hours days and hustling nonstop and barely getting by OR I could shut it down, sell my house and go travel!!

That’s right, you guessed it, I quit my job, shut down my show and put my house on the market and left LA after 18

years. I was beyond excited for the next chapter of my life to start and the adventure I was embarking on.

But life never really goes the way you expect.

I had to move in with my mom at 36 years old 😳 And the house didn’t sell, it sat on the market eating away at my savings. And I couldn’t find a job in Colorado that didn’t insist on a 2 year commitment which I couldn’t make because the whole point was too go travel. 😱

So here I was, stuck in Denver, living with my mother, no money, a mortgage and a quickly dwindling savings account. 🤦‍♀️

I sank into a depression, panicked that I had made a horrible mistake. I’d had a good life in LA, friends, a job, a

production I was proud of and I gave it all up for this?

I started looking for ways out. Some way, any way to salvage my dream and my life.

Everyone I knew who was traveling full time or living abroad worked online. So I knew that had to be the key! 🗝

But I am so UN-computer savvy it’s not even funny, I can barely send an email 🙈 So I knew I was going to have to learn, and to do that I needed to find a course, or a coach, some kind of mentor that could hold my hand and walk me through exactly what to do, step by step.

I looked into a number of different options but they left me with an Icky feeling, like a shamefully sleezy salesman or something 🤢 and I just knew it wouldn’t work for me if I didn’t feel good about it.

I started researching how to start a blog and monetize it, but I’m no writer and didn’t really have much of a social media game. I thought I was doomed.

That’s when I found an awesome Digital Marketing platform. I don’t know why it stood out to me but it did. It just felt different, it felt right, Like it just clicked.

So I dug deeper and what I found was an amazing community of people, of all ages and backgrounds.

And they all seemed happy and excited about what they were doing.

Not to mention they were all so friendly and made me feel really welcome! 🥰 There are a ton of tools available, and lots of friendly faces to turn to for help. Whether to answer questions, give helpful tips or just some general guidance.

And it was exactly what I was looking for in terms of it being easy to get started and a step by step process that super easy to follow.

I’m learning a new skillset that will be super useful in all areas of my life and I can use well into the future.

And the best part is I get to help people!

And now not only do I travel full time but I can stay abroad indefinitely because I am making more than enough money. 🥳 Total FREEDOM!!!!

I did it! I found something I like, that’s fun and empowering and fits my life schedule. Not only am I doing something I believe in, but I feel proud of it as well 🙌

  • I Finally Found The Strength To Leave Him

I finally found the strength to leave him. He’s been abusing me for the almost 2 years we’ve been together. The first time was because he couldn’t find his controller and this last time was because I went out on a Saturday night and went to a bar he doesn’t like and didn’t text back for 26 minutes.

This is what it looks like when you’re woken up being beaten. This is what a skull fractured in 4 areas looks like. This is what somebody with bleeding on their brain from being hit so hard looks like after being held in a corner and beaten continuously.

If you’re being abused just know he will NEVER get better…. nothing you say or do will make them change… I spent months dealing with the mental attacks. “you’re fat”, “ you’re nothing” “you’re ugly and nobody will ever want you”. All the way to since I lost my baby I failed life and would never be worthy enough for love.

This escalated to him hitting me more and more. He’ll pretend he’s sorry & shower you with words of love and gifts. hell, he’ll even visibly show his supposed change just to get that hold back over your head for a week or two but he’ll always be the same. He wasn’t always terrible. He showed love and happiness but if he can hit you once it’ll escalate and continue happening.

I miss the old him that I knew. The one that loved unconditionally and made me melt with one look. The one that made me feel so good about myself and beautiful but I’m here instead moving back into my moms because the cops can’t find him to serve a restraining order and I have no idea where he is to get him off the sts away from me.

Yes I left him and yes I’m scared he’ll come retaliate but I’m SO proud and happy I left… if you’re being abused please leave. There are people there for you, don’t stay out of loniness ‘cause ya know what??? Being lonely is better than being dead. Not seeking pity or attention either I just need People to know it’s not just them and there is a way out.

  • I Am So Done With Helping Others

I am so done with helping others.

All my life I have sacrificed the things I want or need in life to help others.

You want me to look after your children as you have to work, no problem I’ll change my plans to have them.

You need a lift to the supermarket, not an issue, I’ll use my petrol to take you, doesn’t matter that it means I’ll have to tighten my budget that week, after all we are friends.

You need someone to help with your child’s football team, of course I’ll help, I’ll take all the complaints because little Jimmy didn’t play a whole match or it will be my fault the team lost, I’m sorry I was trying my best.

Lend you some money, yeah not an issue I know you are struggling just the same as me, friends will go without for each other.

This is how I used to be, first to volunteer to help, first to be there for everyone, never thinking of how it was affecting my own life.

However I have come to realise I can never do enough for some people, they will always take more and more until I have nothing left and then throw me away.

I will not volunteer to help with any sports or events to then receive complaints and moans from those who wouldn’t step up to the plate ever!

I am done, it is over, I do for me now and me alone, for those I have helped would never help me in return.

I am so happy in my selfish, lonesome, happy, bitchy free zone. Welcome to freedom any one want to come along for the ride?

I still help two friends who would walk over hot coals for me but I have cleared myself of all the fake mates

  • I’m Not The Mum That Watches My Kids

I’m not the Mum that watches my kids 24/7, I often watch from a distance with my feet up and a glass of wine in my hand, they don’t need me with them every second of the day.

I’m the mom that yells up the stairs ” you better pack it in before I lose my shit and whack you sideways”. ( before you perfect parents jump on me it is perfectly acceptable in my eyes to threaten to physically harm them, I have never actually raised a hand to them).

I’m also the Mum that waits for the real cry before going across the house to see what’s up ( I can tell when it is a whiney fake attention seeking cry to the shit I’m bleeding type of cry) . I’ll come for you being hurt but I don’t wanna come because your brother has the plastic cup you want. Figure that shit out on your own.

I’m the mum who won’t rush across the park to scoop you up when you have had a little tumble, unless there is blood, a bone sticking out of your body or a serious injury, my kids are tough they ain’t no snowflake, they cry when they are hurt not when they have tripped.

Stop raising incapable kids because they turn into incapable adults, stop following them everywhere, put the anti bacteria gel away, give them space to grow and learn, christ when we were growing up our mum would spit on our wounds and use her sleeve to wipe away the blood, our mums gave us the freedom to grow and learn.

  • This is ENGLAND…..We like it the way it is and even more so the way it was

One mans thoughts and views on being British have gone viral, do you agree with what he has said? Some believe he is a racist for his comments

“I am the Tory Party’s Worst Nightmare. I am a White, Tax-Paying, God-fearing English man. I am a hard-working Brit and I work long hours to earn a living.

I believe in God and the freedom of religion, but I don’t push it on others. I believe in British products and buy them whenever I can.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and not to some governmental functionary, to share with others who don’t work!

I think owning a home doesn’t make you a capitalist; it makes you a smart Brit. I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything. Get over it. Join in with the majority!

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, you should do it in English. I believe there should be no other language option.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are fellow Brits like Freddy Flintoff and Winston Churchill and I know I’ve missed a few thousand!!!!!

I don’t hate the rich. What I hate is the way they always manage to avoid paying proper taxes. I don’t pity the poor, I just hate the way they are always moaning that they are hard done by!!

I know wrestling is fake and I don’t waste my time watching or arguing about it.

I believe if you don’t like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country!

This is ENGLAND…..We like it the way it is and even more so the way it was…so stop trying to change it to look like some other socialist country! If you were born or legally migrated here and don’t like it… you are free to move to any Socialist country that will have you. I believe it is time to really clean house, starting with the House of Commons, the seat of our biggest problems.

I want to know where the “Do Gooders” get their money from, and why are they always part of the problem and not the solution?

Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I also think the cops have the right to pull you over if you’re breaking the law, regardless of what race, colour or creed you are. And, no, I don’t mind having my face shown on my driving licence. I think it’s good….

I dislike those people trying to guilt me into making ‘donations’ to their cause….Get a job and support yourself and your family!

I believe ‘illegal’ is illegal no matter what the lawyers think!

I believe the Union Jack flag should be allowed to be flown anywhere in the United Kingdom !

If this makes me a BAD Brit, then yes, I’m a BAD Brit. If you are a BAD Brit too, please forward this to everyone you know….

We want our country back! My Country…..

I hope this offends all illegal aliens.

My great, great-grandfather watched as his friends died in the Boer War. My grandfather watched and bled as his friends died in World Wars 1&2. I watched as my friends died in Sierra Leone Bosnia, & Desert Storm. Our sons and daughters watched & bled as their friends died in Afghanistan and Iraq . None of them died for the Afghanistan and Iraq Flag. Every Briton died for the British flag.

At one high school, foreign students raised a Middle East flag on a school flag pole. British students took it down. Guess who was expelled…the students who took it down.

West London high school students were sent home, because they wore T-shirts with the Union Jack flag printed on them.

What is going on?? What idiots do we have in authority?? Enough is enough.

This message needs to be viewed by every Brit; and every Briton needs to stand up for Britain . We’ve bent over to appease the Brit-haters long enough. I’m taking a stand.

I’m standing up because of the millions who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the British flag.

And shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message. IT IS NOT !

Britons, stop giving away Your RIGHTS !

    THIS IS OUR COUNTRY !

This statement DOES NOT mean I’m against immigration !

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE, IN MY COUNTRY, welcome to come legally:

    1. Get a sponsor !

    2. Learn the LANGUAGE, as immigrants have in the past!

    3. Live by OUR rules ! Dress as we Britons Do

    4. Get a job !

    5. Pay YOUR Taxes !

    6. No Social Security until you have earned it and paid for it !

    7. Find a place to lay your head !

If you don’t want to forward this for fear of offending someone, then YOU’RE PART OF THE PROBLEM !

We’ve gone so far the other way… bent over backwards not to offend anyone.

    WAKE UP BRITAIN ! ! !

If you do not Pass this on, may your fingers cramp !

Made in BRITAIN & DAMN PROUD OF IT!!!!!”

    AMEN”

  • Wild Child

I would love to share my wild child with you all.

I see many mummy’s on Mums Advice struggling with their little wild ones.. I have one piece of advice for you, let them be wild.. embrace their fiery souls and free spirits, let them run with the wind and feel the rain upon their skin, don’t force them to fit in with society, instead nourish them, teach them that it’s okay to stand out, it’s okay not to always fit in.

Put on a pair of wellies and go run in the rain, let them feel the cold on their skin, make mud pies and have picnics in the woods, let them roar at the top of their lungs, let them explore, let them test their own powers, let them taste that chocolate, let them have a late night, cherish every single damn second, because before you know it, that little wild child of yours will be a teenager, dealing with the dramas of high school and trying to fit in just to be popular, they will be made to adult before they are ready.

So for now, let them taste life and freedom to the fullest, and you, you go taste it with them. From the mother of a wild child.
