  • I’m Meant To Be At School Now, Everything Is So Different

My 10 year old son wrote this poem with a lot of thought. It’s tough for these children. It’s nice to hear how they feel ❤️

IM MEANT TO BE AT SCHOOL NOW,
BUT IM HOME WITH MY MUM AND BROTHER.
    EVERYTHING IS SO DIFFERENT,
BUT WE ARE THERE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

    IM REALLY MISSING FOOTBALL,
AND SPENDING TIME WITH MY FRIENDS.
WHO KNOWS WHEN THE TIME WILL COME,
    THAT ALL JUST DEPENDS.

    IF PEOPLE STAY AT HOME,
AND DO WHAT THEY ARE TOLD.
    LUCKILY THE WEATHERS NICE,
    AND ITS NOT FREEZING COLD.

WE HAVE BEEN PLAYING IN THE POOL,
IN THE GARDEN IN THE SUN.
    SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY,
    HAS MADE IT REALLY FUN.

MY NANA MAC WENT TO HEAVEN LAST WEEK,
AND WE’VE ALL BEEN REALY SAD.
WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TRAVEL,
AND MAKES US ALL FEEL BAD.

ONE DAY WHEN THIS IS OVER,
    AND WE ARE ALL FREE.
I MISS MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY,
AND I HOPE THAT THEY MISS ME!

  • Dearest Harry Go Be You

    Dear Harry,

    Darling Harry.

We have watched you grow from a smiley, cheeky little boy, who adored his mother, his brother and his little trio, to one who quickly had to grow up. Overnight.

We watched , along with the whole world, as your life, your grief and your pain….was blasted all over our television screens.

We watched you walk behind …that…carriage.

We watched you, a little 12 year old boy, be expected to keep up with the men around you, and emotionally cope with what you were being faced with. You had no hand to hold. No arms to bury yourself in. No one wiping away the tears you no doubt desperately wanted to cry.

We watched, little one, as Princess Diana was paraded, slowly, in front of millions. But she wasn’t a Princess to you. She was ‘mummy’. And you suddenly lost the someone who made you smile, laugh, and gave you affection like no other person in your life.

We watched as the world kept turning. But yours stood still.

We watched you struggle as a teenager and young adult with this new reality.

We watched you rebel against the expectations of ‘your lot’.

We watched you just want to be normal. Despite being reminded that you’re not.

We watched you push the boundaries of what a member of the royal family could do. Where they could serve. Who they could be.

We watched as you tried to find fulfillment.

We watched you establish the Invictus Games, so many charities, and help so many gain purpose back in their lives, when you were still struggling to find your own .

We watched as you, finally, found someone warm, caring, happy….someone who, like your mother, wasn’t afraid to show you love and affection in public. She loved you, and she didn’t care who knew it or what people thought.

We watched the press pick her apart.

We watched you hate them for it.

We watched you become a husband infront of millions. A much happier man.

We watched you become a father, and saw how proud you were of your wife and son.

We watched you protect with everything you have – your own little family. We know why: we saw what happened to your mother. We saw. The media is a cruel, heartless beast.

We watched as you found your calling. You found who you are. You found more of Harry. And less of the Prince.

We watched you smile again. A beaming smile. Holding your baby. Holding your wife’s hand.

We watched you be brave. So brave.

    You’ve given us enough.

    You owe us no explanation.

We watched as you got a taste of a more fulfilling, quieter, healthier life.

We watched you shock the world by admitting that, yes, you just wanted to live it.

    As Harry. Meghan. And Archie.

We watched you say, Prince or not- I am also a father, a husband, and a man. Let me be one.

    And so …

We will be watching, proudly, as you go off to start your new chapter. You won’t lose us.

We will be watching, relieved, as you finally get to live your days as YOU choose to. That little boy, with his head down, in his big suit, walking behind his mother’s dead body – that little boy who has had to rebuild his world, do his ‘royal’ duties, and have his mental health dragged through the mud ever since.

We will be watching – as much as YOU decide we can – intrigued as to what you will get up to. Where you’ll be. What. Who.

    Go …. be strong.

    Go …. be happy.

    Go…. Be….You.

    We will be watching.

And so will she ♥️ xxxx

  • Orca Who Died A Horrible Death At SeaWorld

Remembering Kasatka, an Icelandic captured orca who died a horrible death after a miserable ‘life’ at SeaWorld a little over 2 years ago.

On October 26, 1978 she was abducted from her family when she about 1 year old alongside her pod-mate Katina, who was 3 years old. They were sold to SeaWorld and sent to San Diego, California that same month. For 4 years, they lived together, but the two were separated in 1984 when Katina was shipped to SeaWorld Orlando, where she remains imprisoned today.

Kasatka was moved from Iceland to SeaWorld park after SeaWorld park – 16 times within 12 years.

Pictures of Kasatka rotting to death in an overcrowded, chlorinated treated concrete tank at SeaWorld San Diego began surfacing in July, 2017.

This poor soul was undoubtably in a lot of pain before she died.

They Euthanized her on August 16, 2017. Kasatka had been suffering from a bacterial lung infection since at least 2008 and her ailing body was covered in lesions before her death. Even though she was sick and on medication, SeaWorld artificially inseminated Kasatka again in 2011 and forced her to bear a fourth calf for the parks to exploit.

Never before has SeaWorld come out and said they euthanized one of their orcas. Not even Tilikum — who was suffering incredibly for at least a decade in his tiny tank.

Not one of their killer whales has ever died of old age. They all die because #CaptivityKills. 8 killer whales have died under “world-class care” since 2010 at SeaWorld, not including stillbirths. 3 in less than a year in 2017 including Tilikum of a ‘super virus’ and 3 month old Kyara of pneumonia.

SeaWorld has been asked many times by PhD marine biologists to share her bloodwork, necropsy, and make public the disease or infection she had. But they did not and will not, which is no surprise, because they never tell the truth about what’s really going on there.

Whether her illness was bacterial or fungal will never be known and is slightly irrelevant, she was eaten alive by opportunistic pathogens in captivity.

This is the same whale that we posted about a few days ago who nearly drown her trainer, Ken Peters. She has a list of incidents that involves her grabbing her trainers.

In case you missed it; here is the informative and poignant blog on Kasatka by Voice of the Orcas – former SW trainers and whistleblowers, Dr. Jeffrey Ventre and Samantha Berg, both featured in Blackfish: http://voiceoftheorcas.blogspot.com/2017/07/kasatkas-impending-death-has-seaworld.html?m=1

None of these pictures are Photoshopped. The photographer was escorted out of SeaWorld and publicly handcuffed as it did not follow their ‘protocol’

    RIP. Kasatka

    We see you.

    We care.

    We are so sorry.

    We are trying..

  • Do Not Give Kittens Away This What Can Happen

I can’t stress enough! Don’t give kittens away for free!!! 😠😡😠😡😠😡😠😠This is what can happen when kittens are given for free or in the hands of the wrong people. Each one painted a color with permanent markers (similar to the photo below) and used as bait for dog fights. People bet on the color of the cat who will survive the longest. This is common – and yes happens in a lot of places!

This is for public awareness and only by all of us advocating and discouraging free adoptions by ANYONE or ANY ORGANIZATION – can we make a dent in this problem.

    Craigslist….etc..etc..

    PLEASE KEEP SHARING THIS POST.

IT IS KITTEN SEASON , SO THESE SICK PEOPLE ARE OUT COLLECTING THEM NOW.

TIME FOR EVERYONE TO EDUCATE EVERYONE ELSE.

  • Don’t Throw Away Your Car Seats After A Crash

❗❗PSA: If you get in an collision, DON’T THROW THAT CAR SEAT AWAY ❗❗

A car accident is one of the worst things that can happen to a family. It’s terrifying and life changing.

Not only do you have to worry about medical bills, transportation, and insurance, but if you have a Graco seat in the vehicle, a car accident – any accident – means those seats must be replaced.

    BUT.

That’s not the end of the story.

After our car accident, several people told me that Graco (Newell Brands) would replace seats involved in a collision for free. I was a bit skeptical, but I was desperate, so I emailed their contact support. I was put in touch with a lovely lady named Miriam who worked tirelessly to get our boys back into Graco seats ASAP.

She sent me boxes to put our old seats in, because these seats involved in real collisions are VITAL for their engineering team. They use these seats to improve future models, and to find aspects they want to keep. I sent those seats out last week, and last night these bright, BRAND NEW beauties showed up 😍😍😍😍

Yes, completely FREE OF CHARGE!! I am so blessed, and so thankful to have the opportunity to continue rear-facing my 4-year-old!

Have you ever heard of a better company??

Thank you Graco, from the bottom of our hearts.

Also: If you’re wondering if your child is in the right carseat for their age/size, you can find some awesome info right here!

    https://howhesraised.net/2017/06/is-your-child-safe-in-the-car/

To those who don’t understand why extended rear-facing is so important, you can see our accident story here:

    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2195055607243072&id=100002159616529

ETA: I know most insurance companies will issue funds when you have to buy a new car seat, but this is just another option ☺️. And, even if your insurance replaces your seat, you should still look into sending your seat to the manufacturer for their engineering team!
