  • Here Is Why Babies Shouldn’t Drink Water

     

    I just wanted to make a Public Service Announcement!!

    Water intoxication is very real and can happen so easily!! Please only offer babies 6-12 months no more than 2oz of water in a 24 hour period!! Babies younger than 6 months cannot have any at all! Currently dealing with my 11mo having water intoxication!

    I only ever offer 2oz a day and usually she doesn’t finish it. Yesterday she discovered she could drink the bath water. I didn’t think much of it at the time and later ended up rushing her to the ER. She became lethargic, started vomiting, and then was struggling to breath! She had so much water in her it was compressing her lungs!

    She is doing a lot better now with breathing but we are still vomiting very often! I just wanted to put this out there for those who don’t believe it matters and give their baby as much as they want. Breastmilk/formula is plenty!! And just because baby is close to a year does not mean they can have more than 2oz!! My daughter is a year in 3 weeks and here we are! Thanks for reading my rant lol

    Elly is doing really good today! We are at 6 hours without puking so far!! She’s even playing again! I also wanted to add, she did not have any water in her lungs, they were clear! It was the first thing the physician checked for! She did not aspirate nay water and did not have dry drowning! Purely only water intoxication! Also once the child is one year of age it is 8oz of water per year of age up to 8 years old!

  • Mum Told To Abort Baby By Dr, But Mum Would Not Give up

    I received the awful news that there’s no fluid left around my baby the deepest pool was 1.8cm because of this my babies lungs can’t develop so if it survives full term we won’t get more than an hour with him before he passes away, this is what we were told 4 months ago.

    Doctor after Doctor told me there was NO HOPE, NO CHANCE of survival, one Doctor even told me I was wasting NHS money and time continuing with this pointless pregnancy and just to abort it and move on.

    This was not a thing to discard this is my child, a much wanted and tried for baby boy, even if I only get to hold him for a minute it would be worth it.

    Did my baby not deserve a chance to fight for the right to live, I messaged into Mums advice and asked if there was anything I could do to give my baby more hope.

    One woman (I wish I could remember her name) told me to drink water as if it were going out of fashion, just drink, drink, drink, I followed her advice and my baby thrived, he grew, he made it to 32 weeks before deciding it was time to meet his mama.

    Samuel Chance was born on July the 26th, he took a breath, he screamed a tiny sound, an hour passed and he was still with me.

    Samuel is still in the special care unit and fighting every day, he is gaining in weight and in strength this boy won’t give up and neither will I.

    Thanks Mums advice for believing in Hope and helping me to stay strong for my baby boy!!!

    I want to urge mums out there not to give up if you have a glimmer of hope you have to hold on to it.

    British couple Nikki and Louise Draven are one of Britain’s first families to raise their child, Star Cloud, in a completely gender fluid environment. Louise (Star’s Mum) was born as a man and is currently undergoing hormone therapy to successfully transition into a woman. Nikki (Star’s Dad) identifies as both male or female, and transitions between genders on a day-by-day basis.

    Both parents wish to raise Star in an environment that is neutral and fluid, straying from traditional gender roles. They allow Star to choose whatever clothing and toys he wants, or wear any colours he likes.
    Nikki and Louise met at an LGBT meet-up in 2011 and found that they shared very similar views about family and gender. The two of them wish to provide Star with the freedom of choice they wished they had while growing up in their homes. They want Star to be able to choose his own gender when he is older.

    Louise and Nikki want to raise Star in as ordinary a home as possible, but neither of them put much stock into gender roles defined by society.

    Star is like any ordinary kid, but instead of playing with only cars or trucks, Star also enjoys playing with dolls and barbies.

    Faced with challenges, the other children in Star’s nursery tell him that he can’t play with dolls because they are for girls, but Louise and Nikki carefully explain that Star is free to play with whatever he enjoys.

    Star will be attending school soon, which will require him to wear a boy’s uniform, but he gets to wear a pink vest and socks: his favorite color.

    When addressing Star in their home, Louise and Nikki use ‘him’ and ‘his’ but don’t put too much emphasis on the words.

    Nikki and Louise want to make it very clear that Star is allowed to wear makeup, put on a dress or even paint his nails if he wishes.

    Star knows that he is a boy, but Nikki and Louise want him to know that they don’t want to put limitations on his gender in any way.

    The couple has had multiple run-ins with bullying and public criticism, but remain hopeful that others will keep an open mind about their family
