  • This Is Why You Should Say No To Piercing Guns

This is why you should say NO to piercing guns.

Most guns causes a blunt-force trauma that’ll damage your ears. Yes, “back in the days”, we didn’t have this kind of knowledge that we have now. Cartilage does not respond well to the guns and could cause your cartilage to be *shattered* from the trauma.

It’s harder to clean a piercing gun since it cannot be properly sterilized because it’s made of plastic. That can cause risk of infection (since it already harder to heal) and disease transmission.

Why would you want to be pierced with a dull backing of an earring over a sharp, sterilize needle?

It take two weeks to train someone how to use a piercing gun, and it takes 6 months to a year to fully train a piercer the knowledge of proper placements and learning of sterilization of the needles, tapers, jewelry, etc.

We don’t all have the same “standard” ear.

Of course there’s risk with any piercings. Proper technique and aftercare is a biggy. Go to a tattoo shop/piercing shop over going to the mall to Claire’s. Spend your money to properly get your ears pierced by a *professional piercer*.

    Do your research!

    Protect your health!

    Say YES to needles. ☺️

  • Amazing Trick To Ease Ear Infection Pain

What I’m about to share with you, is a coveted family secret given to my mom from aunt Mer. Because as a child/ teen and now adult.. with ears prone to infections and broken eardrums.. I use this all the time.

Your child ever wake up screaming in pain of an ear infection?

Because it takes 30 minutes for pain meds to kick in, this is the handiest trick you will ever learn.

    1. Take a face cloth and heat it up in water as hot as your hands can stand, and ring the water out..

    2. Place the hot wet face cloth in a mug.

    3. Place mug in the microwave for 20 seconds until the cup is warm and cloth is burning hot..

    4. Place open end of mug on your child’s head, around the ear being careful the hot cloth does not touch your child’s ear.

The pressure from the mug, will help relieve the pressure built up in the ear- VOILA- back to sleep and calmed /not crying.. and then the pain meds will kick in. 😍 you are welcome.

  • Woman Warns Others About Claire’s Accessories

Brenda Campos is trying to spread awareness after her child had a bad ear-piercing experience at Claire’s accessories.

Campos said “Do not get ur kids ears pierced in Claire’s Accessories this is what’s happened to r Poppy’s ears she paid £50 followed what she was supposed to do now she’s got to have an operation 2moro to get them out I’m fuckin fuming😡😡😡😡 she’s not the only one a few people have had bad experiences 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡PLEASE SHARE”.

Claire’s accessories only pierce ears with guns,

Piercing guns use stud earrings of a standard length. People with thick earlobes may find that their new earrings are tight when lobes swell after piercing. They will have little to no post length to use for expansion to relieve the pressure.

A professional body piercer has access to many styles of initial jewellery that won’t inhibit comfort or the healing process.

Piercing Guns Cause Blunt Force Trauma to earlobe
Most guns force blunt-ended studs through the tissue of your ears, a painful process that can cause damage. The shock isn’t typically a huge issue for the lobes, but why risk it? A piercing professional will pierce you with razor-sharp hollow needles that pierce through areas quickly without damaging the surrounding tissue. This process is usually less painful than using a piercing gun.

People who have worked in some retail establishments that use piercing guns often say they began to pierce after just a short amount of time and  training, sometimes only a few hours. With that little training, how can piercers be aware of the sanitary precautions that must be followed to prevent contamination? Or how to instruct for proper aftercare?

  • Why I Wish I Hadn’t Had My Daughters Ears Pierced

Angelikara Willi took to Facebook to make others aware of the possible regret you may feel if you pierce your babies ears.

Willi said “When River was a few months old, I took her to have her ears pierced without much thought. Not only that, but I took her to a place that used a piercing gun.

I knew people were opposed to this, but I didn’t really care. I truly thought those people were just being dramatic. She wouldn’t remember the pain and it’s better to get them done before she can mess with them, I thought.

    Eventually she didn’t like them.

She wanted me to take them out often, we kept losing earrings and they just bothered her.

As I grew in motherhood and knowledge, I decided not to put them back in.

I strongly believe that my children have a right to decide what alterations happen to their body, and realized that this too falls into a cosmetic alteration. I’ve posted before about her asking me why I did this to her, and apologizing because I did not know better. Thankfully I learned before I had my second daughter.

The holes have closed but the scarring mark remains… and now, more than four years later, look at that placement! It looked perfectly fine as an infant, but ears grow.

That is not where earrings should be placed, and now my baby will have those scars that I agreed to.

*Please, rethink piercing your baby’s ears*

Let them decide if they want this done…

    their body, their choice.

Do you agree with what she says or is it easier to have them done when they can’t remember it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments
