  • My Jalapeño Were A Torture Device To My Children

The other night, I was cutting up jalapeños while cooking dinner.

My sour patch kids (daughter & son) are always in my shit.

I can never fully accomplish a whole task without them in the way.

    Little ankle biters, they are.

So, I’m chopping these peppers up and answering questions left and right like I’m a contestant on a game show.

I’m currently killing this mom shit.

    I’m multitasking AF.

I’m pouring chocolate milk, slice another jalapeño, twirl around checking a butt for poop, peek on the chicken in the oven with a smile on my face, run to the living room to clean up a spill, and back to the kitchen to finish the jalapeños.

I’m gliding through the kitchen just basking in my motherliness.

Until I hear a cry for help from the bathroom. Suddenly, Kaison, my 6 year old, who wipes his butt always, forgets how to wipe his butt.

I sprint down the hall to offer hand services for the butt in need.

I get caught in the hall by my daughter who asks me to put her princess play shoes back on. Every mom with a daughter knows the damn shoes. They only fall off every other step because they are made for a child with an almost invisibility foot. I slip the bitches back on for the 100 time while rushing and she’s screaming because I left her pinky toe out and still trying to shove it on. After I tuck that little piggy back inside, she cautiously walks away on the plastic heels of death amongst the wooden floors, to the kitchen looking for a “snack.”

After I complete the butt wiping task, I walk back into the kitchen to the sounds of gagging and coughing.

The gags progress to wails and cries of pain.

I see Micah and Lilah with tears in their eyes sobbing and wiping their tongues. I asked Lilah what was wrong and she said, “hot hot hottttt!!!”

I try to find answers to what in the actual fuck was happening and then Lilah said, “I don’t like those grapes. Those grapes so yucky” as she points to the jalapeños.

😒 I try to sound concerned, but my initial emotion was anger because I’m down one whole jalapeño less than what I started with. Every jalapeño mattered.

After grieving the loss, I give them milk, I give them bread, I pray, I light incense, I bathe them in Oils. I give them whatever the hell else they want and NOTHING is helping.

My kids love spicy food, but these were not your average jalapeños.

These were the Devil’s peppers. And they came with vengeance. These bitches was spicy and they was angry.

The hands that they grabbed the peppers with are now rubbing the tears from their eyes and rubbing the snot around their noses.

Now, their whole face is on fire.

At this point, there’s not many options

other than to just throw both children away and start over. I have two others not infected at all.

I’m running their whole heads under water. I’m trying to flush the Devil’s pepper out of their eyes and nose. Nothing is working.

I’m screaming, “GOOGLE, HOW THE FUCK CAN I SAVE MY CHILDREN’S EYES FROM THE DEVIL’S PEPPER?”

Google is no use because google has no intellectual understanding of curing children from jalapeños at this time. (Words from the mouth of Google herself)

    The chicken burned.

    More shit spilled.

My jalapeños didn’t get used for a meal, instead they were a torture device to my children.

The babies ended up with wash cloths on their faces on the couch while chugging chocolate milk. Nobody was blinded. We all survived.

    Except for me.

Soon after I laid the children down for bed, Jalen, my other 6 year old, walks in my bedroom hysterically crying.

I asked him what the hell he wanted because my hours of operation were clearly over, and then he said, “my butthole is burning.”

Ok…gonna need you to elaborate, son.

Guess who played with a Devil’s pepper while not learning from the magical hell his siblings went through?

Him. That boy. The burning butthole kid.

Why did his butthole burn, you ask?

Because after playing with the Devil’s pepper, using it as a stage prop for his dinosaurs to eat, he decided to just itch his ass. A lot.

Welcome to parenthood, where we are solely surviving on prayers and wine.

    That’s some real #Seriousmomshit

Disclaimer: the butt I wiped, was not the butt that burned. I have twins. Thanks for the concern on my intelligence, but, I got this 🤞🏻

DON’T Forget to SHARE with a momma who needs some laughter tonight.

  • Potential Danger From Your Fitbit

    Please be aware…

I’m posting this to educate others of the potential damage a Fitbit watch could have on you or your family.

On Wednesday night, I was sleeping when I woke up in a panic to my wrist burning. I quickly realized my Fitbit was burning up so I tried frantically to get it off. With a few failed attempts, I jumped out of bed and turned the light on where my wife was able to unlatch the band on my Fitbit.

    Potential Danger From Your Fitbit
    Potential Danger From Your Fitbit

It felt like it melted through my arm. There was smoke coming out of the Fitbit battery and our bedroom smelled like an electrical fire. We called a nurse to see if we should be seen and she told us we needed to go to the ER since the wound was white and already blistering. At the ER they cleaned out the wound, took x-rays to make sure no debris remained in my arm and then referred me to a wound clinic. When I was seen at the wound clinic, they informed me it was a 3rd degree burn. At my follow-up appointment they will determine if I need a skin graft.

I do not have feeling in parts of my wrist due to nerve damage and I will have a large scar that will be with me the rest of my life. This was a traumatic experience and I hope no one else has to go through it. So, if you own a Fitbit, please reconsider using it. Please share.

  • Joie Stroller Burn Risk

    WARNING!!

For all you moms looking for strollers to keep your little ones cool this summer, please stay away from Joie. A couple of weeks ago I bought this Joie Nitro Stroller from Argos and 2 days ago while walking to my daughters Nanny’s house the frame of the stroller got so hot in the bank holiday sun that it burnt her finger.

We weren’t out in the stroller for long, 1 hour tops! And in that time the frame got hot enough to blister her finger so much that we had to take a trip to the hospital.

    Joie Stroller Burn Risk
    Joie Stroller Burn Risk

Joie claims to ‘put every piece of every product through extreme testing’ in order to keep our babies safe. However, in my experience this was not the case.

I did not want to put this on Facebook but I didn’t want anyone else to go through the same thing!

    EDIT**

For those of you say that ‘metal gets hot’ I’m not an idiot I know metal gets hot but strollers should be made out of non conducting material so it doesn’t get dangerously hot enough to burn any of our babies. BASIC SCIENCE

  • Common Household Product Burnt My Babies Skin

Lisa Cresswells little boy was hurt recently and is desperate to make others aware of the potential danger.

Cresswell said “For anyone that uses Febreze fabric freshener , it’s supposed to be dermatology tested and suppose to be ok to use on anything and not cause problems. Well I sprayed it on my sons pillow to freshen it up and he woke up like this red raw skin on back, shoulders and neck and ear. Day after his skin started to peel and be infected .

Took him doctors n they said it’s a bad reaction to the chemicals and it’s caused a 2nd degree chemical burn, dermatitis and an infection. Don’t believe everything you read on the bottles as clearly that isn’t always the case as u can see. I’ve contacted the company and am waiting on a reply if they think they are getting away with this when their product which is supposed to be safe to use they got another thing coming defo not letting this go”.

Mums advice have emailed Febreze but they have yet to comment.

  • Tommee Tippee Bottle Warmer Flask Warning

    WARNING ⚠️

I’m not doing this to bad mouth the company but rather just to make people aware and to take extra precautions because I’ve always been a tommee tippe customer when I’ve had both my babies; however Sunday night (9.9.18) my 4-year-old son and I was taken to hospital and treated with 2nd degree burns as a result of the TOMMEE TIPPEE BOTTLE WARMER FLASK.

Even when locked it leaks badly, as I went to kiss my son good night the whole contents had come out of the flask; (I’m not entirely sure whether the water leaked from the gap by the lock button of whether theirs a fault with lid and it came from there.

I wasn’t really looking at the flask at the time due to us both needing to be under water; but when my partner when back it was locked and the lid was on so Who knows). I took three-quarters of the boiling water that was contained in it and my son had the splash back. My sons wound is healing perfect and should be gone within the next week or so; however I’ve damaged two layers of skin and damaged the nerves in my hand.

Tommee Tippee Bottle Warmer Flask Warning
Tommee Tippee Bottle Warmer Flask Warning

I have my dressings changed every two days and the nurses at the hospital are concerned because my skin isn’t blistering nor blanching so they had to keep a closer eye on me at the moment. I’m on strong painkillers and ibuprofen to try to ease the pain. They can’t tell me how it’ll heal until it starts to blister and can’t tel me whether I’ll get the nerves back until it starts changing and getting better.

Until this is investigated I would highly recommend using a different alternative for now. I’m so glad that I took the majority of the water because if I didn’t my son would have come of worse and maybe next time this might not be an adult and more a baby. 😭

I’ve rang the company and they are investigating – so are aware of this issues. (Seems to have been an issues for more than a few years) ‼️‼️‼️ I do understand some flask have been fine; and that’s amazing! I just wanted people to go careful that’s all, extremely unfortunate event.

  • Girl Ends Up In Hospital After Idiots At A Festival

To all the festival go’ers in Leeds, and in particular the scum bag idiots that threw a deodorant canister into a camp fire.

My brave Daughter Sophie is now in Wythenshaw Hospital specialist Burns Unit along with her friend probably for some time.

On Friday night some irresponsible idiot threw a deodorant canister into their camp fire, the subsequent explosion seriously burnt two teenagers who were having a nice time, after working hard and saving up for their (expensive) tickets, they were obviously looking forward to a fantastic weekend away, and now they are both in hospital with second and third degree burns.

To the person who threw the canister and his friends….. we will find out who you are, I doubt if someone of your intelligence has the balls or are brave enough to own up – face up to these facts along with your friends. Somebody will have seen you do it.

YOUR ACTIONS HAVE SERIOUSLY AFFECTED TWO YOUNG LADIES LIVES.

YOU HAVE INFLICTED SECOND DEGREE AND THIRD DEGREE BURNS ON THEIR FACES, ARMS, LEGS AND HANDS.

ON BOTH GIRLS THE BURNS ON THE FACE ARE SERIOUSLY CLOSE TO THEIR EYES, WE DONT KNOW IF THEIR EYESIGHT WILL BE AFFECTED YET.

THEIR EYELASHES AND EYEBROWS WERE COMPLETELY BURNT OFF

They are both having to have layers of skin peeled off by the Doctors to stop any infection – NICE – well done

Second-degree (partial thickness) burns involve the epidermis and part of the dermis layer of skin. The burn site appears red, blistered, and may be swollen and painful.

Third-degree (full thickness) burns destroy the epidermis and dermis and may go into the subcutaneous tissue. The burn site may appear white or charred

They are both still in shock from the experience and have lost a festival weekend BECAUSE OF YOUR ACTIONS – YOU COMPLETE FUCKING MORON.

To all Parents – please re post this and anyone good at twitter add the appropriate hash tags – to get this message out there so there is a complete BAN on any kind of canister at festivals.

They have to walk daily to stop any new growing skin from pulling tight and tearing – every step is very painful

Oh – and by the way both girls will have to stay out of the sun for two years to avoid getting skin cancer – THATS NICE WHEN YOU’RE A TEENAGER THAT LIKES BEING OUT DOORS……TWO YEARS !!!

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE DONE OR THE LONG TERM CONSEQUENCES TO TWO YOUNG LADIES LIVES !!!

To all Parents – please re post this and anyone good at twitter add the appropriate hash tags – to get this message out there so there is a complete BAN on any kind of canister at festivals.

  • Lidl Water Shoes Are Dangerous And Burn Feet

    Lidl water shoes are dangerous.

I recently purchased some adult water shoes from Lidl to take away on holiday and though I had got myself a real bargain, I had already bought my children Hot tuna water shoes from Sports direct the week before.

We arrived in Egypt for our much deserved holiday and as it expected it was hot, too hot to walk from our chairs to the pool without getting very sore burnt feet.

Thank god we had our water shoes, no problems with burnt feet, we could walk safely to the pool or so we thought.

After one hour of using Lidl water shoes the soles had melted, heating the shoes and insoles burning the bottom of my feet, I then spent the remainder of my holiday having to hobble along and had to resort to wearing trainers, not how I had planned to spend my holiday, the shoe originally had small rubber like balls all along the sole, these where quickly melted away and heated the shoe up, cooking my foot along with it.

Lidl Water Shoes Are Dangerous And Burn Feet
Lidl Water Shoes Are Dangerous And Burn Feet

My children wore their Hot Tuna water shoes all week-long and their soles where completely intact, no burnt rubber, no sore burnt feet!!!

Lidl Water Shoes Are Dangerous And Burn Feet
Hot Tuna shoes no damage or burn marks

Lesson learnt don’t go cheap when it concerns your feet, I will never buy these shoes again and hope you take extra caution if you plan on using them.

  • These Medicines Can Make You More Sensitive To The Sun

Well Britain finally appears to be having sunnier. hotter and nicer days, (hope I havent jinxed it) now we all remember to put sun cream on the children and make sure they are hydrated and wear a sun hat.

But what about yourself, do you wear a hat? Do you put sun cream on?

Are you aware that some of the medicines you take for health conditions may in fact make it harder for you to be safe in the sunshine.

If you are currently taking  Venlafaxine, Sertraline, Mirtazapine, Olanzapine and antihistamines certain antibiotics, these medications increase sun sensitivity and risk of sunburnis vastl increased.

We have listed only a few medicines which can affect sun sensitivity, we advice that you check all your medicines for the side effects, we all get into the habit of just taking the medicines prescribed by our trusted GP but rarely do we check the information pamphlet provided.

If you are on any medication which increases your sensitivity to the sun, please wear factor 50 sun cream with a high UV star rating, avoid going out in the sun between 11am and 3pm, ensure you sit in the shade and wear a hat if you can.

If you are concerned with the medications affect you can request a medication review at your doctors and they may have an alternative available.

Please share to let others know about the risks of medications and sun sensitivity.

  • Dentonox Cradle Cap Shampoo Warning

Chloe Macklam is trying to warn other parents about Dentonox after a bad experience

    Macklam said

    ⭐️ ATTENTION ⭐️

So I’m about to tell you something that happened to me yesterday night, my daughter is 10 weeks old and suffers from cradle cap (like most babies) I bought a shampoo that’s meant to help it called Dentonox from Asda roughly £3 so last night when I was bathing Isabella I got my partner to come in and hold her while I got the shampoo (because I always leave and forget everything 🙄) I put a small amount on my hand and started to rub it in her hair within seconds she started screaming and not just a baby scream it was a gut wrenching cry for help we washed it off straight away and she still wasn’t calming down we quickly released it was burning her scalp!

Her face was covered in a red blotchy rash and scalp was scarlet, I put cold water and ice packs on while my parter phoned 111 we rushed her in thinking she was having an allergic reaction but later on to our horror actually find out that this dentanox contains Hydrochloric acid which BURNED HER SCALP AND FACE!

    Do not use this shampoo!!!!

Share share share!! So no other poor baby has to go through this!

After Macklam posted this to Facebook other mums and dads commented on it saying that had also had similar experiences with this shampoo and where surprised they were still allowed to sell them in the shops, however several hundred people commented and said they had no issues with the shampoo and their babies had been fine.

Have you used this shampoo? What’s your thoughts on it, would you still consider using it to clear your child’s cradle cap or be avoiding it in future? Let us know in the comments

Distraught mum’s horror as Toddler Badly Burnt Whilst At Nursery

Little Reuben’s face was scalded in the accident at Bridge End House Nursery, Fixby

Reuben’s mum has told of how she was left feeling “hysterical and distraught” after her toddlers face was scalded following an accident at a Fixby nursery.

Sarah Jane Walker, 29, of Deighton said she couldn’t believe what she was hearing when the manager at Bridge End House Nursery told paramedics what had happened  to her 18-month-old son Reuben Adams.

Sarah said: “I was working in Huddersfield town centre when I got a call from the nursery manager at 3.30pm. I was told he had been burned. I put the phone down and went as fast as I could to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where an ambulance had taken him.

“I got there and Reuben’s key worker and nursery manager were there. He was in an awful state. I got hold of Reuben and took him out of the nursery nurse’s arms and they left.

“I was in hysterics. I was crying. I didn’t want him to see me so upset. He was given morphine and transferred to Pinderfields General Hospital. My mum was there.

“He has had some more morphine to clean the wounds. He couldn’t sleep and I was with him all night.

We are hopin with time the scars will fade and that he grows up with no memory of this pain.

Toddler Badly Burnt Whilst At Nursery
She said paramedics were told by nursery staff that her son had apparently opened the safety gate and went into the kitchen area and has somehow been injured by a bowl of boiling water used to warm a baby bottle.

“Reuben is my only baby and I’m mortified that this has happened in the care of a qualified Ofsted registered nursery that I researched before registering him.

“I had put my trust in this nursery so I could go to work to give Reuben everything possible.

“Reuben will not be returning to the nursery ever again.”
