  • To Everyone Blaming The Government

To everyone blaming the government for the Covid19 death toll surpassing that of Spain and France and calling them incompetent, bear this in mind:
It is possible to change an argument in your favour with statistics even if they are not truly representative. Try looking at it logically and dispassionately.

If you look at the population levels of the 3 countries mentioned, the U.K. has the highest at around 70 million, compared to 66 million in France and 49 million in Spain.
Then look at the size of the area these people are living in : The UK 250,000 km2, France 650,000 km2, Spain 506,000 km2.
    Figured it out yet? No?

The U.K. has a population density of 280 people per km2
France has a population density of 102 people per km2
Spain has a population density of 97 people per km2

Know what that means? That means, ( according to figures from google today) the U.K., despite having nearly 3 times (275%) the population density of France and (289%) that of Spain, has death figures which are only 8% more than France and 7.5% more than Spain.

But, it’s easier for the media to use the headline number in order to create the hysteria and panic they are so desperate for to give this story legs, so why let facts get in the way of the narrative.
Wake up people, use your brains, not your emotions.
    Have a lovely day.

  • Boris Speech Explained

Don’t understand the confusion people seem to be having regarding the recent announcement…no wonder people were doing the fudging conga to Vera Lynn with the neighbours after a few pimms on VE Day…I think a fair proportion of the population lack common sense…

    It’s pretty simple…for now the only changes are;

▪️Work from home if you can. Construction workers can return to work if they’re able to adhere to social distancing while there. Avoid public transport to get there where at all possible.

▪️Stay at home apart from exercise (which is no longer restricted to 1 hour, once a day. It can now be done in parks and sports can be played with the family you live with) whilst observing social distancing rules.

▪️Depending on the response to these measures we may see more shops and businesses & primary schools opening from the start of June…all dependant on the figures.

▪️Potentially seeing hospitality begin to open at the start of July…all depandant on the figures.

    It’s not rocket science!

Don’t twist words & overcomplicate the simple to hear what you want to hear…

STAY AT HOME unless you need to go out.

Only go to work if you can get there safely & CANNOT WORK FROM HOME & you are able to practice social distancing at work.

Exercising is unlimited WITH MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD.

  • Boris A Little Poem

    I’ve written a poem.

Really not trying to belittle or trivialise what is happening right now. I just wanted to get a few bits and bobs off my chest and this works for me.

    Boris.

    I’ve wrote a little poem
    I hope it doesn’t suck
I hope that you don’t roll your eyes
    And mutter ‘What the fuck?’

    I didn’t vote for Boris
But he’s not as bad as Blair
At least he’s no war criminal
But I wish he’d brush his hair

I watch him on my phone
Which makes me squint like mad
    Cos that little shit Dempsey
    Has nicked my iPad

I watch it in the kitchen
    Whilst I’m doing dinner
Puts me off my fucking food
But at least I’m getting thinner

    I’ve got loads of questions
Like can we test, test, test?
But Boris goes ‘Nah fuck off mate’
    We didn’t invest, vest, vest.

But he’s done a deal for ventilators
    A 30 million pound hit
Hope they’re better than Dyson’s vacuums
    ‘Cos they are fucking shit.

    This situation makes me sad
    It’s beyond my comprehension
I hope my poem makes you laugh
And eases just a little bit of tension.
