  • Shocking Treatment Of Beautiful Animals

I literally HATE posting this picture, but if collectively we don’t see what goes on…it continues to go on.

“We brutally shoved an electrode into the anus and put another in the mouth of this sensitive little animal.

    He’s scared, he’s already hurt…”

He cries, not knowing what will happen next.

In seconds, electricity will pass through his small body and he will slowly burn inside until death follows…

Why is this method, cruel, barbaric?

To make sure his fur isn’t damaged.

    – Because if we shoot him, we’ll damage the fur

    – If we stab him, there will be blood on the fur.

We need to share this information, so that people walking around in Canada Goose and other fur, feathers and skin might come to understand how unfathomably cruel this is…and that they are complicit.

It is unlikely that the buyer of a fur coat is aware of how many animals were required to make that single garment. 100 chinchillas or as many as 60 minks are required to make one full-length fur coat; depending on the type of fox, 10 to 24 may be required.

Eighty-five percent of the fur industry’s skins come from animals who were held captive on fur factory farms, where they were crammed into severely crowded, filthy wire cages. Many were later beaten or electrocuted—and sometimes even skinned alive.

After an animal has been slaughtered, his or her skin is treated with toxic chemicals to keep it from rotting and decomposing in the buyer’s closet. According to The World Bank, the hazardous process of fur dressing is so problematic that the fur industry is now ranked as one of the world’s five worst industries for toxic-metal pollution.

  • Is It Easier To Be Vegan Compared To Eating Meat

    [the_ad_placement id=”before-content”]

Is it easier to be vegan compared to eating meat, dairy and eggs?

    My thoughts:

“it is much easier to eat meat and drink milk”

It is not easier for the animals that are gassed to death or shot.

It is not easier for the animals cramped up in trucks going towards the slaughter-house, for many the only time in their short life they see the sun.

It is not easier for the slaughterhouse workers, who kill hundreds of animals per day, and who suffer from stress and psychological problems because of it.

Or the male chicks dying a painful death being gassed to death just after birth because of that no one can profit from them.

Nor the fish who suffer from being dragged up and who suffer dying in the nets.

It is not easier for the humans and the animals who lose their home when the Amazons is destroyed to make land for soy plantations to feed cows.

It isn’t easier for everyone who suffers from obesity or die of heart attack due to arteries clogged by eating a lot of meat, dairy and eggs.

We can easily get all nutrients we need on a balanced plant-based diet. You can get B12 from meat, but to say that it is easier than ordering B12-supplements isn’t true.

It is much easier to choose life in the supermarket, rather than closing your eyes to all misery, suffering and death that the animals went through to be reduced to meat, dairy, eggs, fish and honey. Choose life and freedom for everyone, step out of paying for this violence. It is much easier to be vegan for everyone and for you.

  • Angry Facebook User Target Unicorn Business

Angry Facebook Users Target Unicorn Business.

A company called Cotswold Unicorns were spammed with multiple terrible reviews, angry comments and hateful messages after screen shots were shared into Vegan groups, a girls bitchy chat group and a discussion and rant page.

Cotswold unicorns hired out a beautiful white horse to be used at parties and celebrations, the horse wore a fake unicorn horn and children were given “animal friendly” paints and chalk to decorate the animal.

Within 2 hours of the screen shots being shared 157 reviews were placed on Cotswold unicorns Facebook page.

Here are some of the replies

Carrie owens “This is animal abuse I hope you get your horse taken away from you, horses are not for drawing on”

Freya Lassels “erm unicorns aren’t real and neither is your business, you’re the reason people become vegans and no one wants any more of them in the world”

Patty Shackles ” SICK, SICK, SICK, animal abuse at it’s worse”.

On their Facebook page Cotswold Unicorn advertise

“Here at Cotswold Unicorns, we’re all about making memories that last a lifetime.  Golden afternoons spent in the fresh air getting to know our unicorns, grooming and painting them to look even more beautiful, with lots of laughter along the way.

We offer bespoke parties as well as standard options, and with prices starting from £130 there’s something for everyone at Cotswold Unicorns”.

Whats your thoughts is it animal cruelty or harmless fun to paint and draw on a horse/unicorn? Let us know your views in the comments.

  • Sheep Can Be Dangerous If You’re Pregnant

Pregnant animals, or those that have recently given birth, may carry germs that can harm pregnant women, such as chlamydiosis, listeriosis, Q fever and toxoplasmosis, some may cause still birth, birth defects or other issues.

These infections are rare in humans but, even so, it is still best to avoid any potential danger. This means no petting farms, milking ewes, delivering or being involved with the birthing of lambs, calves or kids.

Possible contaminated materials such as bedding or clothing should be avoided too and contaminated clothes should be washed on a hot cycle, separate from other washing, you can never be too safe, if you do have to come into contact with animals wear protective gloves and an apron and change your clothes as soon as you can and ensure hands are washed throughly especially before eating .

If pregnant women have had contact with these animals and notice flu-like symptoms, such as a fever, they are being advised to seek medical advice and to state which animals they have been close to and whether or not the animal was pregnant or had just given birth.

Although the number of human pregnancies affected by contact with sheep is extremely small, it is important for pregnant women to avoid close contact with sheep and other livestock that have recently given birth.

We are not trying to scare woman but are simply trying to make pregnant woman of the potential dangers around farm animals.
