Fortnite dances should be banned for intimidation

Fortnite is an online strategy game, you compete against other people to become the last man standing.

In the game you can save up coins or purchase additional items, clothing or dances.

The dances include the dab, bouncing from one leg to the next whilst making the Loser symbol with your hand called take the L, the floss, breakin’, electro shuffle, wiggle and disco fever.

Parents are calling for Fortnite dances especially the floss and Take the L to be banned as children are using them to intimidate and bully other children.

Many youth sports teams are doing the dances after winning a game and mocking their losing opponents.

One mum has even set up a petition and is sharing it on social media platforms, Jemma Dunmore from Osmondthorpe in Leeds is asking worried parents to sign and share her petition to get Fortnite to remove the dances, she states that the dances do nothing to improve the game.

She added that they were a pointless addition to the game and are only there to mock and intimidate other users and young children now deem it acceptable to rein-act the moves in the playground or on the sports field.

What’s your views, should Fortnite remove the dances or are there too many snowflakes in the world?

  • This Is Why You Don’t Give Dogs Chocolate

Chocolate has a toxic ingredient called theobromine which is poisonous to dogs, dark chocolate is the worst  but it is still quite high in milk chocolate.

Urgent treatment may be needed if your dog has eaten chocolate, you can help the vet by telling them how much you think your dog has consumed and bring the wrappers in.

Symptoms for chocolate poisoning will occur between 4 and 24 hours after consumption, normally with vomiting and diarrhoea, increased heart rate, hyperactivity, rapid breathing and possible seizures.

There is no antidote for chocolate poisoning in most cases the vet will make your dog vomit, also they may wash out your dogs stomach or feed them activated charcoal which will help to absorb any theobromine left in the dogs system, they may also need to be placed on a intravenous drip, medication to control heart rate and to stop seizures.

This is obviously very distressing for the dog and can be very upsetting and expensive for the owner.

This post sums it up by Greenbrier emergency animal hospital “This is a great “action shot” of what we start with after your dog presents for a Chocolate Toxicity. Thanks Dr. Antonucci for this picture. Thanks to the dog’s owner for allowing us to post and bringing her in to be fixed. Thanks to my staff for mopping up the floor. Thanks to the air filters for ridding the office of the smell of yucky chocolate. Thanks to the staff member who totally under estimated when placing a single blue pad to catch the vomit”.

Do Not give your dog chocolate and if by accident they get hold of some please keep an eye on them and seek veterinary treatment if needed.

  • Ed Westwick Fired Over Sexual Assault Allegations

Ed Westwick has been fired from the BBC’s adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Ordeal By Innocence.

The BBC made this decision after sexual assault allegations were made against Westwick.

The TV drama had already been filmed, however Westwicks role will now be played by Christian Cooke – who is believed to be filming the new footage this month.

In November, Westwick outright denied allegations of rape, which had been made by two different women.

Ordeal By Innocence was originally meant to air on BBC during the Christmas season.

White Gold, another series starring Westwick, has had filming paused.

Westwick had this to say about the accusations he is facing of sexual assault:

  • Mum Wakes From C-Section To Find Both Her Legs Amputated

Mum Wakes From C-Section To Find Both Her Legs Amputated

Not even in your wildest dreams would you want anyone to go through this terrible trauma what Ella Clarke, 31 of Torquay, Devon has experienced. Clarke was pregnant with her eighth baby but she had a condition called placenta previa, also known as a low-lying placenta. Midway through her pregnancy, Clarke was told she would have to deliver via C-section.
Mum Wakes From C-Section To Find Both Her Legs Amputated
No big deal for this mum who has delivered six of her babies the same way. But what happened after labour has changed her life forever.
Clarke was put to sleep for scheduled C-section. The procedure didn’t last long but she woke after six days to see both her legs amputated below the knees.

    How could this happen?

Well, a medical negligence cost her legs.
About 30 minutes into her C-section, Clarke’s placenta embedded itself deeply into her uterine wall.

A complication called placenta accreta caused massive hemorrhaging which lead to an emergency hysterectomy. After five blood transfusions and an induced coma, she delivered a beautiful and healthy baby girl – Winter Rose.

Due to the negligence of the hospital, as supposed to be monitored every hour for blood clots, she was not under observation. Six hours allegedly passed without being monitored. This deadly mistake cost her legs – clots formed in her legs and deprived her lower limbs of blood supply. It was too late to save her legs. Ultimately, her legs were amputated below the knees to save her life.

Clarke was clueless about her induced coma. She woke up and waited for the nurse to pass the baby but she was in for a shock.
She said, “I remember the moment I woke up. I thought I was waking up from my C-section. I expected my beautiful little baby girl to be passed to me. I had no idea I’d been in a coma.”
The hospital has apologized for the mistake and is held for thorough investigation.

Ella has taken legal action against the NHS hospital in Torquay; her family and friends strongly support her battle against the hospital.

The Life of Ella Clarke would never be the same again.

A Once active mum is now in a wheelchair and has prosthetic legs.
All for what? A medical oversight that should have been easily prevented.
“I knew the risks of blood loss, but I never expected to wake up three days later without my legs,” Clarke said.
“Going into the hospital to have a baby should have been the best moment of my life. Instead, my world has been shattered. A thoughtless oversight has cost me so much. I will never stand on my own two feet again, and that makes me shudder,” she said.

  • Surprising facts every woman that has been pregnant should know!

Pregnancy; that magical time in your life when everyone says you’re glowing but you just feel like all you do is spend your time in the bathroom, either because you have to pee or you have to vomit!

Take a look and see how many of our surprising pregnancy facts you already knew!

If you are less than 12 weeks pregnant when you go for your first scan you run a very high risk of the scan being internal. While this might sound scary, it’s actually just slightly awkward and uncomfortable, especially if it’s something you’re not expecting.

While we’re on the subject of scans, as much as you want to see your baby bean as often as possible most women only get scanned twice during the entirety of their pregnancies. Once at 12 weeks and again at 20 weeks.

Obviously some instances will result in more scans. For example you may have dating scan if you don’t know how far along your pregnancy is or if your doctor or midwife is concerned the baby isn’t growing as he should be you will most likely received another scan later on in your pregnancy.

Baby brain is a real thing! Nobody puts their keys in the fridge and the milk down the toilet because they want to! But the most likely reason for the dreaded baby brain is simply fatigue. Pregnant women do not get nearly as much sleep as they actually need, so by all means use this as an excuse for an extra nap wherever you can.

While eating for two might seem like a fantastic side effect of pregnancy it’s not actually the case. What you will actually need during pregnancy is just an extra 300 calories. That’s the equivalent of 2 large bananas or three Freddo bars, so choose your calories wisely.

Morning sickness is a very common side effect of pregnancy and unfortunately the name can be quite deceiving. I guess morning, noon and night sickness just doesn’t have quite the same ring to it. But most women that suffer with morning sickness will tell you it can hit you at anytime of day! Be at bedtime, lunchtime or whenever they smell something that turns their stomachs.

Also on the subject of morning sickness you might have been to told that the sickness will go away or subside by the end of the first trimester, unfortunately I’m afraid for some women this is simply not the case and you will still be getting morning sickness all the way up until the day you deliver.

Have a birth plan but be prepared for your baby to have other plans! Being prepared is fantastic, if you know you want to use a birthing pool make sure you write it down and that your midwife is aware, or if you don’t want to use any painkillers, good luck to you, make sure the midwife and your birthing partner know what your plan is. But you also have to remember that you don’t know how your baby will be brought into to the world. With all the best intentions some labours end in an emergency caesarean, it might not be safe to use that birthing pool or it might hurt a lot more than you expect and you’ll be begging for an epidural! So be prepared and have a plan, but be prepared not to follow it to the letter!

A very common misconception is that women that suffer with heartburn will be birthing a hairy baby and will it be nice to know that the horrible heartburn with suffering is because their baby will be born with flowing locks, there is actually a much simpler and less satisfying medical reason. During pregnancy the valve between your stomach and esophagus relaxes, this allows your stomach acid to rise up into your throat and causes that painful burning sensation. This is why you will say so many pregnant women carrying a bottle of Gaviscon in their handbags at all times.

Which other facts about pregnancy surprised you?

  • Rude Woman Gets Told By Boy

A shameless passenger told a family that their autistic girl should not be allowed to fly – and the child’s protective 10-year-old brother had an incredible protective response.

Kai Smith, from Ware, was travelling to Disneyland Paris with mum Michelle and 5 year old sister Sienna during the February half term .

After the flight had landed a lady sitting in front of the family turned to Michelle and said they should never fly again. The mum claims the woman said the disabled child  (referring to Sienna)  would disturb the flight for other passengers, the Hertfordshire Mercury reports.

But Kai responded by saying his sister should not be singled out because of her disability and asked the passenger, “Could you imagine if I discriminated against you just because you’re different?”

Since the incident Kai has been inspired to support Sienna even further by organising a large-scale bike ride after hearing his sister’s school needed a new bus, what an amazing kind young man.

As well as autism, Sienna has a condition called idic15, meaning that she has an extra chromosome. This can cause delays in language development and motor skills.

Kai said his sister is ‘very important’ to him.

Mum Michelle Husband, 39, said: “I am off the scale proud of what a wonderful brother he is.

“He has always been there for her (Sienna) and is never negative towards her.”

Mums advice think this young man is an inspiration to us all.

    Always stand up for others!!!!!

  • How do you manage when you don’t want your child?

How do you manage when you don’t want your child? How do you carry on for the sake of social expectation when in reality you don’t want him.

It started with a moment of a toddler

Screaming, kicking punching all to get away from me

    To be with someone else

    Someone who isn’t his mother

As soon as he was away from me he was fine
    “He hates me”

I asked my mum to keep him

“I won’t make him be unhappy just by being with me” he deserves every happiness in the world and more. But I can’t provide that for him
How do you get over the feeling of overwhelming guilt that comes from saying such a horrible thing
How can you ever NOT want your own child?
    Only time will tell

  • Domestic Violence GET OUT

I just wanted to share a bit of my Story hoping even if I help get one person out of this situation I will be over the moon!
About six years ago I finally got the strength to walk out on my now ex partner after over a year of abuse, i got talked down to on a daily basis and beaten at least once a week even when I was pregnant! Before anyone says I should have gotten away sooner

I agree with you I should have but until you’ve been in that kind of situation you really will never know how much easier it is said than done. I broken up with him for good when I was about 7 months pregnant, but he watched me 24/7 and still gave me abuse over the phone and got others to do the same.

When my little girl was six months old I dropped her off with my mum for the day and night, I went shopping for baby food and other bits and then had two drinks before heading home.

Long story short he had gotten into the building my flat was in and I remember nothing other than seeing him and reaching the top floor my flat was on.

I woke up in hospital getting stitches in my lips. As I was being taken to x-ray the nurse taking me asked me if I had been in a car crash!!

One of the police offers who came to talk to me the next day said he had seen less blood at a stabbing scene. The police got him but he was shortly let out on bail. I continued to get abuse by phone and he and other would hang around my flat block

On every occasion I rang the police he and his friends all denied it and give each other alibis he even tried to kick my door in and nothing got done. Eventually he got sentenced to 18 months in jail but got out in 9!!

The police later told me that he had been in prison for doing the same to pervious partners. They decided they wanted to nail him for everything he had done and we soon got court dates for our witness statements.

Fast forward four years!! The trial finally started on Monday! And finally finished today. There were about 15 witnesses four of which were ex partners. Four years of him sacking lawyers one after the other, four years of getting ourselves worked up for court the next day to get a call saying it wasn’t going ahead again an hour before you go bed! But I did it!! And if I can do it so can you!!!

If any Mummy or Daddy reading this right now are in ANY kind of abusive relationship I want you know you can do it! You are strong enough! You WILL cope and it WILL get better! And if it ever happens to go to court please don’t make yourselves ill with worry like me, it really wasn’t that bad! You are not there to be his/her punching bag or there for him/her to calling all the names under the sun!! Do it for you!!

    😘😘
