  • Kids Make You Look Like A Liar

    Kids make you liars

Ok so most people at some point will have a child who looks like death warmed up, not eating, not drinking, lethargic.

All attempts of calpol, snacks and small amounts of fluid but nope, this kid is very ill.

This child doesn’t want to play, just wants to lay there, he looks pale, but he’s hot, he has a rash on his stomach.

Ok it’s time to get this kid to the hospital he could have something seriously wrong, he’s never quiet, he’s never still.

He doesn’t wake up when carried out to the car, even going over the speed bumps, I run into the hospital like some sort of scene from a movie, child draped across my arms.

We are directed to the children’s waiting room, it’s full of colourful toys, tv in the corner and a colouring table.

Kid bursts back into action, running round like a looney.

Dancing to the theme tune of the tv program, stacking up books and pushing the toy truck on the floor.

Seriously Doctor he was really ill, he’s barely moved all day, he’s not eaten.

The Doctor brings him a digestive biscuit and he gobbles it down.

This child has the go to diagnoses of a viral infection.

I am now a big fat liar making out my kid is so so so ill but shock horror he’s had a miraculous recovery

  • Do You Have This Blanket?

PLEASE SHARE THIS AND BE VERY AWARE!!

I bought this beautiful blanket for my daughter from Williams and Griffins Colchester!

It was in its original bow and tied tight to try and prevent any dangers to my baby!

Last night I woke up to my daughter crying and some how the ribbon had caught through her armpit and around her neck still attached to the blanket thankfully my baby is okay but if I can I would like to prevent it happening to any other babies! Like I say you never think it’s going to happen to your own….

You can see the edges the ribbon ran through!

  • Why Does Pregnancy Turn Us Into Complete Emotional Wrecks?

It’s common knowledge that pregnancy can be a stressful time, your emotions are all the place and can sometimes get the best of you.

We asked our followers over at our Mums Advice Facebook Page to tell us the craziest reasons they had a cry during pregnancy.

These are some of the funniest, craziest and most bizarre answers we received.

    1) I saw my neighbour get in her car and drive down the road.
I burst in to tears, I just didn’t understand why she was going out.
I don’t even know her. But it made me emotional 😂

    2) With my first i was still in school and the canteen had these amazing cookies that i craved 😍 one day they ran out and i had a meltdown and started crying, about an hour later i was sat in maths and a dinner lady brought me 4 wrapped in a paper towel and i sobbed my heart out❤😂😂😂

    3) The rugrats… yes the kids cartoon
The one where chuckies woodlouse died! 🙈 I cried like a b*tch 😂😂😂

    4) Sitting all day at work thinking about how much I was looking forward to the bottle of Pepsi max that was in the fridge at home. Got home to find it was gone. Sat on the kitchen floor and sobbed my heart out for over an hour. My mum offered to go get me another bottle, but I didn’t want another bottle. I wanted the one that should have been in the fridge 😂😂

    5) I was frying some eggs with my partner for tea and splashed hot oil all over my top on my tummy… Stripped my top off so I was stood in a bra and trousers and went to carry on frying the eggs… My partner told me to go upstairs to get another top on so I huffed off and did that… Came downstairs and he had cracked another egg into the frying pan and I cried cause I wanted to do it…

    6) I balled like a baby in the middle of Iceland cause they had no more of my favourite bread(shelf was bare and I could have sworn I had seen some on the way round the shop) probably should have checked my trolley as when we got to the check out I had two loaves of it in my blooming trolley 😂😂

    7) I was frying and egg and started crying cos i felt really bad that it was a chickens baby but i was craving fried egg really bad, then just to top it off it was a double yolker well that just put the icing on the cake i was absolutely balling 😂😂

    8) My partner went on a stag do. My dog thought he had gone work, she knows when he is due home from work and waits at the window. I cried because I knew he weren’t coming back that night and she didn’t understand 😂😂

    9) Not being able to put the bottom sheet on my little boys bunk bed.
I couldn’t reach over because of my bump. I had a melt down and sat on the bed crying for 15 minutes 😂

    10) When I was about 10 weeks pregnant and having a really shitty day my husband came home from the shops with a bag of mini eggs, I burst into tears and at the time it felt like the nicest thing he’s ever done for me 😂😂 in hindsight he’s done a lot of really nice things and is a fab husband!! Really made my day

  • Are These Shorts Inappropriate?

So summer is here, and many of you are updating your children’s wardrobes.

Like myself my child has out grown or quite frankly ruined their old clothes.

This one mum popped into Primark the discount store to purchase her daughter some shorts.

I popped into primark to get some shorts for my 2.5yr old. This is the choice I had. None of these would cover her bum. I know the fashion is fit short shorts but surely young children need something to cover their bums?

Do you feel these are too short?

Many mums jumped on the band-wagon and agreed with the lady.

    One lady said

I have this problem with my daughter. She recently went on her residential trip with boy’s shorts.

However there were mixed answers some felt that they weren’t that bad

    This lady said:

I think they look worse on the hanger than in real life? My little girl has the light denim type ones on the left and they definitely cover her bum, plus some!

    What’s your views?

    Are they inappropriate?

    Too short?

    Let’s hear your option

  • Americans Don’t Have Egg Cups

    Ok who knew!!!

Americans have never heard of egg cups.

How do they have dippy eggs?

This is worse than Americans claiming to have invented the sausage roll or banning Kinder eggs.

I don’t know how Americans can survive without this essential item.

Let’s all ship one out to our American comrades.

    Set the eggs free

  • Before I Had Children

Now you’ve all heard the saying before I had children, I never stopped to smell  flowers, I never pulled over to look at horses…

But we have compiled the real version… the version no one tells you about  before you have children the truth .

    Sometimes with bare hands
Or talking dogs or creatures in the night garden
    We all need chocolate
I’m sorry for being such a bad child
    Ok maybe not
    God damn you tiny creatures
    Every bump, every cough
    Sniff test
    They weren’t really friends anyway
My child loses a shoe every morning
Especially if you have more than one child
They do hold in the tummy though
    About everything!!!!
    Trampolines are a no go
    PACK IT IN!!!
    So tired!!!
    Constantly
    Please let me sleep
    Yep that’s poop
Well a lot more often than I do now
    Boys have terrible aim
Please baby stay on your back
    More than once

    Finger painting
    Sometimes on purpose

  • No one Turned Up To His Birthday Party

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can I ask for your help to make my little mans birthday on July 15th one to remember this year rather than one to forget!!
PLEASE READ, help if you can and SHARE!!

This is Ben, my son, he is 10 and has high functioning autism,.

He has a heart of gold and just wants to be friends with people but his autism makes it extremely difficult for him to achieve this.
High Functioning Autism makes him a little different to the rest of his classmates and because of it he is often kicked and punched and is called nasty names amongst other things, none of which are good.
He is the child that never gets invited to other children’s birthday parties, that sits alone in the playground, that doesn’t have anybody round for tea and nobody to go out to play with.
On a previous birthday I hosted a birthday party for him, inviting around 25 children. He was so excited and really looking forward to it.
Only two parents replied to the invitations I sent out but the party was arranged and paid for and Ben was excited about it so there was no way I could cancel it, I wrongly presumed that a few more would just turn up on the day but at least two were coming which was better than none at all.
Everything was set up and Ben sat there eagerly waiting for everyone to turn up. 2pm came and went and nobody had arrived.
Ben sat there saying repeating over and over they will come in a minute won’t they mum. He still thought they would show up to help celebrate his special day.
By 2.30pm he was getting more and more anxious and visibly upset, he kept asking me where everybody was. I just didn’t know what to say to him. It was obvious at this point that nobody was coming!!
It was the most heartbreaking moment ever not only for me but for him to. This day had a lasting effect on him for a very long time, he was devastated, it knocked his self confidence, heightened his anxiety and is something he will always remember.
This year I want him to have a birthday to remember and hopefully undo the damage of the previous birthdays which has had a lasting effect on him
Can I ask you from the bottom of my heart if you would kindly consider sending him a birthday card for his “11th” birthday to put a big smile on his face and make this birthday one to remember for the rest of his life!!!
If you can help, cards can be sent to:-
    Ben Jackson

    35 Dunn Close

    Southsea

    Portsmouth

    UNITED KINGOM
If are unable to send a card could I ask you to share this post far and wide please.
    Thank you so much
    Lisa x

  • Do Not Accept Him!

Fake Facebook message warns users not to accept Jayden K Smith hacker
A fake Facebook messanger warning is telling users to avoid accepting a friend request from a man named Jayden K Smith because he is a hacker. Longer versions of this hoax claim accepting the user will result in your account getting hacked or cloned.

This is one of the messages

Please tell all the contacts in your Messenger list, not to accept Jayden K. Smith friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it.

This appears to be the latest in a string of fake hacker warnings, none  of which is true.

You cannot be “hacked” just for accepting a friend requests, and if such warnings were true, why wouldn’t Facebook remove such offending accounts before such warnings had a chance to go viral?

So come on guys lets stop spreading silly warnings that have no truth!

  • The Secret To Losing Weight

Most people at some point in their life will struggle with there weight.

I doesn’t matter if it’s baby weight, emotional eating or just a lack of control or self awareness.

Helping people lose weight is big business, with new diets popping up all the time it’s hard to work out what will help and what is just a scam.

Diet pills, shakes, wraps, protein bars…. all these things could help you lose weight, but once you’ve lost the weight and no longer need to take these extra supplements, more often than not all the weight comes flying back on!

So what can we do for the best?

Here are a few helpful tips from someone that has strugged with her weight most of her life!

A little back story on me.  I am very nearly 30 years old and have been over weight most of my adult life as well as my teenage years.  I have lost in total 80 lbs doing various different types of diets.  I have obsessed over every little detail and am one of those boring people you see in supermarkets reading the back of packages to see all the nutritional information.  But let’s get back to the point.

Here are a few handy hints and tips of losing weight and keeping it off!

    1)  RESEARCH!  Understanding your diet plan is very important for knowing why and how it will work.  If your meal plan says you can’t eat bread it should also explain why!

    2)  PROGRESS PHOTOS!  I had my husband take photos of me every Saturday morning during the bulk of my weight loss journey. Seeing the small changes every week made such a difference keeping me on track.

    3)  INSTAGRAM!  Visual representation is great, I took photos of my meals and posted them on my DIET ONLY instagram, I have my separate instragram for my personal family pictures to keep everything in its place.  Seeing all my meals in one place is very helpful when meal planning and remembering what I enjoyed or not.

    4)  MEAL PLANNING!  Taking 10/15 minutes a week to write down a list of foods you want to cook along side the ingredients you’d need.  It helps keep you on track and you don’t need to make any last minute bad decisions.

    5)  MEAL PREP!  When ever you can try and prep meals the day before or even days before.  You’ll thank yourself if you have a busy week ahead planned!

    6)  ENJOY YOUR LIFE!  Don’t let being on a diet stop you living your life, if you have a cheat day and if that day turns into a week don’t beat yourself up!  Just try and remember why you started dieting in the first place and climb back in the wagon!

    7)  HEALTHY CHOICES!  If you are going to a restaurant with family or friends try and look online at the menu first and see what is avaliable that could fit into your diet plan best.  Maybe instead of a dessert you could have a coffee, ask for a jacket potato or salad instead of fries.

    8)  GET A BUDDY!  Finding someone in either a Facebook group or weight loss group that are in similar situation’s to you weight or lifestyle wise could really help, you can motivate each other and it really makes it feel like you are doing not just for yourself but for them too.

    9)  A NOTE TO YOUR FUTURE SELF!  This one may be a little more out there but it really helped me.  I wrote myself a letter on the day I started my weight loss journey basically explaining why I was doing it, what I hoped to achieve and how I was doing it for all the right reasons.  I taped it to my fridge and if ever I felt like breaking I would read it and it helped me stay on track.

    10)  FAMILY MATTERS!  Doing anything alone makes it ten times harder!  So I made sure all my family understood and supported me.  When I cooked healthy meals it was for all the family.  I found recipe’s for healthy desserts so we all had mostly the same.  It made life much easier and we all enjoyed eating as a family.

    11) CONGRATULATE YOURSELF! Celebrate the little victories!  Don’t just pat yourself on the back at the finish line make sure you tell yourself well done often!  You didn’t over indulge at a party “well done”, you didn’t gain too much weight on your holiday “that’s great!” Tell yourself often you are smashing it!

I truly hope at least some of these help someone, losing weight is hard.  But it’s a journey worth taking.
